- Robert (10/5): - I continue to stay at this property whenever I am in Istanbul. The staff are outstanding, from the desk to the room attendants, they are always willing to go the extra mile. My wife decided that their sheets were so soft and comfortable, that she wanted to know where she could purchase some for our home. They were so accommodating that they offered to sell her some from their own stock that had not been used as yet. Then she decided she needed the matching pillowcase, and they once again offered to sell her some new ones. Now I am not suggesting that you go to the hotel, and ask to buy their linens, I am only pointing out how they “make the extra effort” to accommodate a guest when they can. We took our small dog with us, and the restaurant made an extra effort to make food for him. Without a doubt, they are a “first class” operation and if you want to be treated like a valued person, give them the opportunity to serve you.. As a side note, I have been to this hotel a few times previously, but I continue to be surprised by their “quality people” and how they have been trained in customer service.

The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are very clean, and the property as a whole is kept in excellent condition. I can recommend it to anyone who enjoys a peaceful, clean, experience, and I learned how pet friendly they are as we brought our recent “new family member” Maltese Terrier along for the first time. They couldn’t have been more accommodating.

The only suggestion is that they need a cabinet in the room for folded clothing, as it is difficult to black, with little space to put clothing. - Ageselaos (8/5): - The staff were super friendly, they helped reserve a taxi for me the last night because I had an early flight. Helped out so much. The only thing I found that was an in incidence was the elevators. Sometimes they would allow me to go to my floor (4) and sometimes the button wouldn’t work. I’d still recommend this hotel though.

- Robert (10/5): Fenerbahçe Jewel… Part Two.. - This was a continuation of a previous stay due to a medical issue. The staff couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. The restaurant staff especially were very attentive and because we were there for another 5 days, we grew to really appreciate their courtesy and level of service. Front desk as well, and housekeepers made a special effort to work around our needs. I learned that it is a family business, and you understand how hard they try to meet your needs.

Staff was very accommodating, bed and bedding, very comfortable, could use an update to storage for guest clothing, adding more drawers space. Highly recommend for both business and pleasure.

The main floor was very cool with all of the artwork and eventually I visited the gallery in the basement, what a nice bonus to be able to look at all of the beautiful and interesting artwork while at the hotel. Everyone was so nice. I had booked the trip quickly which didn't allow for much time to learn many Turkish words and phrases (which I think is the right thing to do and makes the trip more enjoyable), but the hotel staff spoke enough English for us to be able to communicate the necessary items. When we had a little problem with the shower handle, they were on top of it and had it fixed right away. I loved the marina view room - we had a little balcony and I liked to sit out there with the coffee I was able to make in the room, There was a small fridge which surprised me! The rooms are large and in perfect condition and smartly decorated. The bathroom was amazing, beautiful marble, very nice size. The opaque glass bathroom door wasn't my favorite (I prefer more privacy) but I saw that in the pics ahead of time and chose a room where the bathroom door was not visible from the room. The area was perfect for what I wanted, walkable to some other places to eat and some little markets so I could pick up fruit, snacks, water bottles, etc. The area was very residential with a mixed style of some older more traditional and many newer buildings. I would definitely go back to this hotel again.
- ElisA122 (8/5): Good Stay - The hotel has everything within walking distance. There is park near by so you can enjoy a run or cycling. We booked a sea view room which had a partial view only however was very spacious and modern. As it has a bar, it might get a bit noisy in the evening. We were double charged by the reception. Upon arrival we were charged however as per another person it was not updated therefore he charged again. When we showed the both transactions, we were promised refund. Still waiting for it.
- BADR (6/5): Good memories, not the right place. - It was over all bad with poor service, the guy on the reciption desk did not speak English at all and was not helpful. We aasaked for iron they bring us the iron and with no table they said use the bed to iron ur clothes!! Also the shower door did nott close, the flush in the toilet was damaged and kept making noise all night.curtains were bad and light would come in the room early in the morning. The bold old guy was the only good thing in the hotel.
- Hatice (6/5): - The hotel was very pretty, trendy and new. The location is not bad and close distance to main areas for shopping and dining. My only regret was the staff as they were not as friendly as other hotels I have stayed. A simply smile, good morning or a chat would have gone a long way to get a perfect score.
- 66christophert (10/5): Beautiful Boutique - Beautiful boutique hotel convenient to shopping and restaurants. Very large beautifully renovated rooms with great food and drinks at the bar/restaurant. Request a room with gorgeous view of the marina to watch the sail boats come and go. The artwork and gallery made the space even more unique. My family stayed a week while visiting Istanbul, then upon our return to the city, stayed another couple days due to the comfort and convenience.

It has a relaxed vibe and a georgeous bar/restaurant located at the front. The building also hosts an art gallery at the basement and top floors - beautiful pieces to see and buy. Just across the road you can access one of the marinas and a large waterfront park which is quite safe to stroll. The hotel is in a well-established residential neighbourhood in walking distance to many shops and cafes. Our room was one of the smallish ones, clean and comfortable with A/C. The building next door was being demolished when we were there so there was some noise during daytime when the balcony door was open. What can be improved is the facilities in the room (need more/better hangers, a small table and chair to work) and the in-room lighting. Currently the lighting consists of a few spots placed in the ceiling creating strong shadows on one's face. May be good to display art objects, but not for doing your make-up!

- lonnybom (8/5): Great rooms with paper thin walls - This is a beautiful hotel. All the interiors are decorated tastefully and my room was massive. The bed was so comfortable. I just wish I could have used it longer, like I planned to. But alas, the neighbors in the room next door woke me up regularly with their activities… the walls are very thin. Additionally, the doors do not close silently, so each room’s banging doors are an irritant. Aside from this the restaurant serves delicious food though the waiters need more training in English. If you are a non Turkish speaking guest, there’s a significant gap in communication. Overall, it’s an absolutely clean and beautiful hotel in a lovely area of town. Just bring earplugs.
- Cenk (2/5): Terrible! - During the checkin, they didnt ask for my contact details. I came to the room with my driver carrying my bags, because there was no help, and the receptionist asked if I am staying single at the room instead of helping for bags. The room was dirty, I needed to clear the side tables with wet napkins, which turned to black. The next day I left the room to go to a meeting. Instead of calling me for check out time, or if I want to extend, they packed my suits into a big bag without hangers, like bed sheets. They jammed my toothbrush with my diarrhea medicine which ruined my electronic brush. They put my laptop in a bag with my keys which scratched the surface. and took them to lobby. No respect to privacy. and when I asked them why they didnt call, they showed me my contact number hotels.com sent which had extra digit on it, hence they couldnt reach me. So in between hotels.com mistake and the hotel, I ended up suffering.

- sheila (10/5): Wonderful stay - Amazing hotel staff on reception very helpful. Could not fault the meals not the cheapest but quality and taste excellent. Didn't have breakfast during our stay so not sure what thats like. Twin room on the small side but very clean and comfortable. Double walk in shower, nice fluffy towels. Only downside is there is no full lengh mirror. Would highly recommend this hotel and restaurant.

- TraveloGuro (8/5): A well-deserved 4.5! - This is our third time at 39 Marina now. A boutique hotel right at the entrance of the Kalamis Marina with a beautiful marina view, comfortable rooms, holistic retro-decoration, a superb kitchen and a helpful team! Kalamis is one of the rare serene locations in bustling Istanbul. Green, (relatively) quiet and beautiful views to the historic Hagia Sophia peninsula over Kalamis bay. 39 Marina's location offers all that. Just fantastic! The retro decoration in the bar-restaurant area is actually the continuation of the same style in the comfy and spacey rooms with quality amenities. Gives us a sense of embracing continuity. Just relaxing in style.. The Chef is renowned Ibrahim Celik. Food is just superb: both the breakfast and the dinner menus. A subtle blend of traditional local Turkish tastes with a contemporary twist. Even if you could not manage to stay here, you must taste the food! The team led by GM Bircan is great and helpful. One of the members during a chat told us that they see themselves as family members in this boutique hotel. Hence, the twist that you feel like a guest to a family home and not as a customer at a large and bureaucratic business. Last words: pandemic measures and emphasis on hygene and cleaning are being implemented successfully. We felt safe and secure. Suggestions: - we once had to ask the waiters to stop the occasional vacuum cleaning at some place at the back during the breakfast hours. Disturbs the serenity. They indeed immediately intervened to the cleaners and the vacuum cleaning was turned off. Cleaning times at the restaurant area should not overlap breakfast/dinner times. -too many notice boards on the front panel at the reception area. Could they be better organized so that the overarching retro-design impression would prevail? -some of the artwork paintings, especially those in the reception area are somewhat lost among other objects/ elements and do not find their well-deserved space around them. It would give a better appearance, in our view, if the paintings are displayed so that they would be the center of attention, not other crowding out objects.
