Guest Reviews
- Dale (10/5): I will be back. - Great property in a super location. Lots of the sights are within walking distance. The coliseum being the one closest! The area had various bars, restaurants and supermarkets close by. There was a nothing bad I could say.

- Anuradha (10/5): Brilliant place to stay for a small active family. Lovely host. Accessible spot for attractions - Only observation is the steps in the house are slightly steep (in comparison to other countries perhaps), might not be suitable for elderly. Possibly be mentioned in the description.
- Mariela (10/5): -
- Daniel (10/5): - Locație excelentă. Gazdele foarte amabile. Se ajunge ușor de la aeroport
- Joanna (10/5): Bardzo udany pobyt.
Zdecydowanie polecamy ten apartament i chętnie wrócimy w przyszłości! Nam wszystko odpowiadało, jednak dla osób, które mają problem z chodzeniem kłopot mogą stanowić schody między poziomami .
- Gwen (7/5): Everything we needed - No breakfast. Did our own Stairs very steep. Pillows awful
- Marion (8/5): Great apartment in a great area - Great location. Lots of great eating and drinking places nearby. Bed was too soft for my liking but otherwise ok.
- Katharina (9/5): Superb - We loved it. Very pretty and big apartment. The location is extremely good.
Has air conditioning, which really helped with the heat The steps are very steep, not suitable for people with walking issues. We didn't mind, but other people may.
- Ava (1/5): Bad -
- Jen (10/5): Great three story apartment close to metro and lots of restaurants! -
- Mark (8/5): Very good - great location lovely apartment lots of stairs
- Fawn (10/5): Great location, decent price, let us drop off our luggage early. - Location, comfortable beds, coffee pot, washing machine. Couch was very uncomfortable.
Kitchen chairs are uncomfortable too.
Stairs are steep.
Some black mold behind the door in lower bedroom.
- Joseph (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (9/5): Lovely Central Apartment - Great central location in a lovely neighbourhood with great shops, restaurants and bars. Aircon was a godsend during the middle of August heat. No door to upstairs bedroom and limited drawers/wardrobe upstairs. Beds were comfortable though a little soft for our tastes.
- Ebony (10/5): Exceptional - Pauline was lovely and was really knowledgeable about the area we were staying. Gave us some good recommendations on where to eat aswell as the history behind the room. Central spot and room was full of everything you’d need whilst travelling.
- Efim (9/5): Superb - Creat location Not enough hot water
- Ting (9/5): I had very enjoyable time in Rome and the property is nice and meets our expectations - The size of the property. The stairs are high and have to climb up and down
- Chauhan (7/5): Good - Overall apartment is nice and facilities are really good. Behaviour of the staff was not nice with me.
- Emma (10/5): Great just, great location lovely old building. - Our host Pauline was helpful and good with communication. Location great facilities good. Would recommend and use again . Needs new pillows but otherwise was fine.
- Martina (10/5): Superb accommodation in a beautiful part of Rome! - Great location and spacious house. We were a group of 4 adults and 1 kid and loved it!!
- Shane (8/5): Very good -
- Gerda (7/5): Good -
- William (5/5): Ok but would not stay there ever again - Had to drop off luggage away from front door and couldn’t pickup at front door either. Many lights didn’t work in properly. Toilet in the shower in one bathroom so they didn’t work us to use it. One nice size bathroom but the other was hard to get into. Beds ok but need new pillows. Would recommend spending more money to stay somewhere else.
- Lori (9/5): Very nice decor & clean. Be aware there are steep stairs in unit in case you are not able to manage. - The property was very clean and had a nice up-to-date decor. The bed was comfortable. We appreciated that it had a washing machine since we had a 3 yr old and a 6-week-old. It was very hot and humid in Rome, so we REALLY appreciated the air conditioner. It was a little difficult to find. The direction we came from required us to walk up some very steep and long stairs to get to the street. We had 2 strollers, an infant, a 3yr old and 6 suitcases to carry up all of those stairs. I thought this will be terrible having to do every time we would come and go from the property and started to look for a hotel. Once we got to the property and opened the door, the apt. also had very steep stairs to get to the main level and another set to get to the 2nd bedroom. Pauline came to meet us, and she informed us that there was a different way to get to the property where you do not have to go up and down those stairs. :) One thing that was very strange is that the bathroom for the upstairs bedroom had the toilet in the shower so when you showered, it would get wet, and you had to keep the toilet paper out of the bathroom. I have never seen that before lol! Our air conditioner did not work in the upstairs bathroom the first night. We messaged the manager and they had someone come and look at it that day. They informed us that the filter needed to be cleaned. They replaced the filter, and it worked great after that! They thanked us for letting them know.
- John (9/5): Great location in an original building, well worth the stay. - Great location and wonderful original building, very friendly staff Stairs
- R (9/5): Pauline was wonderful. Our plane was delayed and she stayed late to hand us the keys and make sure we were settled. We h - The fantastic neighborhood and convenient location to everywhere in the city.
Comfortable place for our family to come home to in the afternoon with a little bit of space for the kids to play and relax after sightseeing during the day.
Having three full bathrooms was fantastic.
Having three floors gave everyone their own space and some privacy. We had my in-laws on the ground floor room, our kids on the pullout couch, and my wife and I stayed in the 3rd floor room.
Having the kitchenette was great. Steep stairs in the house - fine for younger folks but somewhat difficult for my elderly in-laws.
One end of the lane that the house sits on ends in stairs, as seen in the photos, which was also challenging for my elderly in-laws. Definitely instruct a cab driver to drop you off at BlackMarket Hall so that you come from the “flat side” of the road and don’t need to take luggage up the stairs.
Air-conditioning in the top floor room wasn’t able to fully cool the room.
Hot water in shower had trouble keeping up with numerous showers.
- Michel (10/5): Perfect for short and long term stay - Everything you have and need for a family .
- Vicki (9/5): Pauline was so helpful proving information. It’s in a lovely laneway that you can walk to some of the main sights and pu - Large rooms and three bathrooms Nothing!
- Anna (9/5): Superb -
- Tim (9/5): Fantastic, spacious, well-located flat for your Roman adventures - The apartment is 3-stories and quite spacious. The location is wonderful—just up some steps from a lovely neighborhood of trattorias and gelaterias, and about a 15 minute walk from the Colosseum. It was comfortable and quiet and gave our two daughters their own floor to mess around on. It was a terrific value. The toilet in the ground floor bedroom didn't work the entire time we were there, despite a repairman coming to allegedly fix it. However, when I mentioned this to the management, they immediately gave us a generous refund on our rental fee for the trouble, which was impressive. As long as the toilet works, I can't say anything negative about this flat.
- Carol (8/5): Very good - Pauline was terrific. Great location.
- Bartolino (6/5): overall very good place - breakfast was not offered stairs was the only down fall
- Rosa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gerry (8/5): comfortable - walking distance to Center
size of unit two couples had privacy more lighting in common area
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location, rooms were clean and comfortable. Pauline was very nice without being overbearing. Lots of stairs, but this is very typical for Rome.
- Mavzuna (8/5): Very good - Location and staff It would have been better if the place is warmed up prior ti guests arrival. Especially in winter. It took us 2 days to warm it. Btw, the heating system on 3rd floor and aircins have to be fixed.
- Marykhosh (5/5): Passable - Needs to be updated. But great location.
- Robertaskat (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb - beautiful old building-perfectly placed away from tourist hustle.
- Tara (8/5): excellent location! - Lovely little town house situated in the centre of Rome a stones throw from the colosseum. period features, 3 floors, comfortable, functional and very clean. our host Pauline greeted us upon arrival, she was very warm and friendly and also sent us recommendations for great restaurants. would recommend this property if you’re looking for something central, away from the crowds but walkable distance to all the sites. Hot water is quite limited, as a family of 4, there wasn’t enough to go round, so one of us always had a cold shower. luckily Rome is hot hot hot at the moment so cool showers were ok.
- Martha (8/5): While it was a little trek from the center of historic sites, we loved the neighborhood. - There was no breakfast provided but we really appreciated the coffee maker, well-stocked (for an apartment) kitchen with fridge, stovetop and microwave oven.
We loved the charm of this 600 year-old 3 story unit which has been renovated with modern touches while still retaining its historic features. We loved that the unit had AC, 3 bathrooms and a washing machine. Upon arrival, we only had the apartment's address to give to the cab driver, so he dropped us off at the bottom of several long flights of steps. The 4 of us (2 with bad knees and one who is blind) had to negotiate those steps with 8 suitcases. Had we been given more explicit instructions to be dropped off at the corner of another street (next to Black Market Hall), this could have been avoided. The only other issue was that the sofa in the living room was damaged so the sofa bed would not close completely and the cushions would not stay in place.
- Harpreet (9/5): Would definitely stay in this great character home! - Great size for a family with bathrooms on each level. The host was quick at responding to any questions. The location had a great restaurant right beside! Wish there was laundry detergent for the washing machine. It was hard for the taxi driver to locate the exact address as the numbers go up and down and cars cannot go all the way to the suite which makes it trickle with stone ground and kids.
- Georgi (10/5): Amazing amount of space, good location! - Amazing space! 3 double rooms each with their own bathroom. Very clean and friendly staff.
it’s close enough to the centre that you can walk, but not too close that you get the poor quality touristy restaurants Second bedroom with the sofa bed has very poor lighting - we had to cook using the phone’s flashlight. But this is very minor compared to how amazing the properly was.
