The location is near the harbour, it’s more quiet with easy access to the Wall, restaurants and swimming spots. We loved our stay here. The communication with the owners was excellent. This appartment made our time in Dubrovnik even better.

• Judy (9/5): Lovely little apartment in a great location - Lovely little apartment in an excellent location. Excellent shower. Welcome fruit, sweets, juice, water & local liquor. Friendy host. Everything we needed. Excellent fish restaurant (Aquarius) and also a fabulous cake, coffee and ice cream shop just below. Occasionally heard noise at night from the nearby Pizza Restaurant in the evening, but it is in such a good central location that you are bound to get some noise.

Very clean and nicely appointed. It served us very well for 3 nights. A bit noisy until around 2200 but that is part of being in a city.

We will recommend Dubrovnik to friends and family . - This is a charming , comfortable apartment perfectly located in the Old Town which is beautiful. Walking distance to all amenities, shops, restaurants ,galleries, museums etc. There was a terrace just outside the front door however we had little opportunity to sit at it as the public used it therefore there was no privacy.

It’s in a great spot for first time visitors to Dubrovnik very handy to the sights & restaurants. The apartment was lovely & very comfortable with excellent air conditioning. Zlatko was a perfect host gave us tips on what to do left maps & lots of information on the sights to see. He also left us a bottle of his delicious home made liqueur. • Lynda (8/5): All the basics nicely covered. - The property has a fantastic location right by the harbour and Gianni's ice cream (the best!). I'm somewhat mobility-impaired so the relatively short number of stairs is a huge plus. The unit is very clean and the upgraded bathroom is great. Zlatko was unbelievably patient waiting for us as we are perpetually lost and kindly helped us with our luggage. Not the smallest I've seen, but the apartment is a little cramped. A proper way to make some proper coffee would have been much appreciated.

Thank you. - The host was very helpful and provided a complimentary bottle of his home-produced cherry brandy (which is delicious!). The room and bathroom were very clean, comfortable and well equipped...and in a superb location within the heart of a special, beautiful and culturally rich historic town, next to the blue Adriatic in a lovely warm climate. Fabulous 5 day anniversary treat! :-) Veg' knife needs sharpening and a few more kitchen utensils would mean that washing up didn't need to be done quite so regularly. The availability of a streaming TV channel or two where films or programmes could be watched in English if required, would also slightly enrich the facilities on offer. [PS..the bathroom 'hot' and 'cold' taps are mixed up... they work perfectly, but it took a few mins to work it out! ;-p ].

Just is amazing and communicates really - Great location, close to the harbour, perfect for a short stay and had everything you needed. Zlatco was a great host and left orange juice, water, fresh fruit and a bottle of his own home brew (which was absolutely gorgeous), all this was a great touch We were close to a gelato cafe and when in the apartment could hear all the hustle and bustle and the stone seating area was often used by people and again could hear everything

• Joanne (10/5): Fantastic location for exploring The Old Town - We had a really lovely stay. The location is fantastic - right near the entrance to the city walls, the harbour and lots of shops, bars and restaurants, without too many steps. The apartment is well equipped and clean, with a modern shower and plenty of hot water. The bed was comfortable and the air con worked well. Zlatko was a great host - he gave us recommendations for places to eat and visit, and he organised a car to take us to the airport as we had an early flight. There was juice, water and fruit at the apartment when we arrived and there is a small supermarket about 2 minutes walk round the corner. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely return. Nothing, our stay was perfect!
• Lyn (10/5): A perfect stay in the Old Town - We loved our stay at Apartments Franka Old Town. It is located in the heart of the old town, next to the port and entry to the city walls. The apartment is clean, comfortable and thoughtfully appointed. Great shower and comfortable bed. It is a level walk through the centre of the old town and only up a few steps to this ground floor apartment. This was a real bonus. We enjoyed stepping straight out into the beauty of the old town, however, the area near the apartment was quiet. It was easy to pop back to the apartment between sights during the day. Our host was friendly, responsive and provided clear instructions on how to find the apartment. We had an early arrival in Dubrovnik and appreciated the offer to drop our luggage off ahead of check-in. When we arrived, our host had gone out of his way to arrange an early clean and check-in for us. We highly recommend this accomodation. Everything was perfect
• Shelley (10/5): Excellent host, excellent location, excellent property! - Zlatko was an excellent host. Met us on arrival at the property (even though he didn't receive my text message to tell him we had arrived - whatsapp is best!). He took time to show us around the apartment and had provided us with fresh fruit, bottled water, juice and milks for coffees. He gave us recommendations of where to get good coffee and cake, where best to join the wall (just around the corner rather than one of the main gates) and where to catch the bus back to the airport which was all super helpful! The location was absolutely stellar, we couldn't ask for better. Easy to find, close to most anything. We particularly liked being able to sightsee in the morning then going back to grab swimming stuff to walk to the beach for a few hours. There was a burglar alarm or something similar that went off for a while at 5am our first morning, being so close to restaurants was a little noisy although we were rarely in when they were open. Which was a bit of a rude awakening but I suppose a possible downside of being in any town centre. If I was being very picky I'd say the bed isn't the most comfortable.

Owner left some fruit and a bottle of his own liquor which was beautiful. Bed wasn’t very comfortable and the frame had two iron bits that we kept running into!
• Annieauld (10/5): Awesome, Fantastic place to stay/visit, and would Definetely go back to this spot! - Zlatko met us at the airport(35 euros for both of us) He is Super friendly and helpful! Carried my heavy case up stairs! The location was awesome!! within 20 metres of the "Wall", with entrance to it about a 3min. walk. The walk to "main drag", was about 5min, and brings you to the Main area of Old Town. The atmosphere of the apartment is VERY nice! Just what we needed for our 5 nights! The entrance was great, as it had secure screen/windows, that we could leave open for fresh air,,,even at night. There are curtains to draw across, for privacy. The shower was Fantastic! Big and a good pressure, with a hand-held and large top water-head. It was very clean and recently renovated. Thanks, Zlatko, for a great experience, the fruit/juice/water AND the Lovely Cherry Brandy!! Also, was pleasant to find a kettle for our cups of tea! Also, the nearby(20mt walk), Garden Terrace restaurant, was excellent! -- went there twice!! :) Cannot think of a single thing that I would change!
• Alison Heather (10/5): - Fantastic location inside the city walls on a quiet side street away from main tourist hustle and bustle, but still so close to all the attractions. Great cafe / gelato and restaurants very close. Lovely studio apartment with seating including table and chairs, sofa and TV area one side and bedroom the other, modern bathroom - big powerful shower, lots of fluffy big towels, kitchenette including microwave, decent sized fridge, hob, crockery and cutlery. Plenty of hanging space, and lovely high ceilings. Host is excellent- nothing is too much trouble. We were given fruit water and homemade cherry brandy on arrival and a pick up from the airport with lots of sightseeing and information about Dubrovnik. I would recommend earplugs as the church bells and some of the noise from cafes can travel but that could be the same for any place to stay within the walls and is not specific to this apartment. I would definitely stay here again.

• Lucy (9/5): Studio flat in Old Town - Excellent location, clean studio flat. Enjoyed the host's homemade cherry sherry (local drink). Dubrovnik is expensive and the old town is pedestrian only, so make sure you can carry your bags. Mobile phone reception is also patchy, probably due to high walls. Despite this, our host waited for us to let us in...even though neither side were receiving calls or messages.

• Wendy (2/5): Franka is a horrible host, please consider booking another property. - It was a good location near the city wall The property manager would not make any exception to their 10 am checkout time, his reason was the cleaning lady had a strict schedule for cleaning that could not be changed, right. All we need was a place to store our two backpacks until our next reservation.

There is no view from the apartment but it’s very cosy. The owner kindly provided fruits and some drinks which was lovely. We liked everything, the only little inconvenience was that people from the restaurant like to smoke close to the apartment.

• Philip (9/5): Great stay in an impressive old town - Position of apartment was fabulous for exploring the old town. Located in a quiet corner compared to busyness of the Main Street. Host was very friendly and met us to show us apartment and how to work air-con, tv etc and provided us with juice, fruit and delicious home made cherry liqueur. Restaurant in lane next door could be a little loud but not a “deal breaker”. Bed could be firmer.

Being in the Old Town meant we had immediate access to all of the facilities: restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and shops. Zlatko was an amazing host who had excellent communication skills.
• Alison (10/5): Lovely studio in a fabulous location - The location is amazing, in the Old Town, close to the harbour, near to many great restaurants, and maybe 15 minutes walk from the Pile Gate where many tours go from as well as buses and taxis. The studio itself was perfect for us, with a comfortable bed, great shower, microwave, hob, kettle and more. The host greeted us on arrival, provided various treats and responded quickly to communications. The Old Town may not be suitable for people with mobility issues as it is traffic-free and hilly but, both being retired, we loved it - very quiet.

Less than a minute from the activity of the old city. A few steps to reach it, but host was kind enough to help with bag. Lovely clean suite with character and everything you need. Clean modern bathroom with good shower. Tea bags and coffee would be nice. Complimentary cherry liqueur was delicious. Bed was a bit spring-y but I slept well.
