Guest Reviews
- Koumudi (8/5): Fantastic but not enough value for money. - The location and concept The check in time is very late: 4pm. So very uncomfortable if you travel internationally. And they want a very large sum to accommodate you even 1-2 hrs before
- Manon (2/5): Difficile de dormir correctement tellement qu’il y a du bruit - Le personnel Le bruit, les tremblements tout le temps
- Ali Yüksel (9/5): -
- Marija (10/5): -
- Anastasia (10/5): Amazing view of the river and perfect location, just across the metro station. - The house was very cute and comfortable. They even left a handwritten letter for welcoming us!
It is on the bridge and the house shakes a bit when the metro passes, but it is bearable. I loved the fact that the front windows are mirrored and you cannot see anything from outside. All windows have blinds, so the light didn’t wake us up in the morning.
- Marcelin (8/5): -
- Rosemary (10/5): -
- Sieds (9/5): Wat leuk en even iets heel anders - Origineel, vlakbij metro, plezierig Geen TV
- Alexander (8/5): - As advertised, looked nice, great view! Still quite a lot of noise at night, also the building was trembling when the tram passed by.
- Irakli (10/5): Cozy/bouncy/excellentview - Its literary on the bridge 🚀
And bounces when train passes by!
It has small JBL in case u forgot urs🤐
- Hans (9/5): Unieke locatie.
- Shane Brennan (9/5): - Great location and interesting place to stay. Cost is acceptable in terms of Amsterdam prices.
- Valentine (1/5): Voleurs !
- Rafael (8/5): - The room is very well decorated and functional, the view is really nice and it's an interesting experience for sure. Since it is on a bridge there is a lot of noise, I wouldn't recommend it for a long stay but for a couple of days it is okay.
- marina (7/5): You can get a decent hotel room in the centre for the same price but this is an 'experience' stay. - Location. And proximity to centre 25 mins walk. View - from one side of the property is beautiful. From the other side its a busy road. Excellent hosts on hand to help 24/7. There was a key pass issue which was sorted. Excellent neighbourhood with loads to do locally. And a nice walk into the centre. Air con powerful. Good quality bedding. The local info on the tablet in the room didn't work, so took the duration of the stay to find local shops/restaurants/points of interest etc
There is a smell of damp in the bathroom, and mould. But this was an adventure booking, its a bridge house, it will have damp issues. The rumble of the passing traffic, it is on a major arterial road, shook the bridge house through the night. It was noisy, but the ear plugs provided helped.
It is smaller than I thought, though ingeniously laid out, the shared sink for bathroom and kitchenette was awkward to access. No microwave. The kitchenette is a kettle and a tiny fridge.
- Natasha (8/5): Great location. Comfortable bed. Fun place to stay - Perfect location for visiting our friends nearby. Very comfy bed. Easy to check in and out. Air conditioning was good as it was warm. There is some traffic noise but it’s not that loud and didn’t affect our sleep with earplugs. There is an opening between the toilet/bathroom and entrance hall which we didn’t love.
- Vivekananda (7/5): Good -
- Prof (10/5): Exceptional - I like the idea of a single remote room - no noisy neighbours to deal with.
Very private and nice ceneray of canal and park The train created some noise during the night
- Jonathan (8/5): Very good - Great accommodation, only a minute on the metro to the centre, and a fantastic views Road was a little noisy, but was fine.
- Marta (10/5): Exceptional - It’s quite a unique place you wouldn’t be able to experience in any other country.
- Alejandra (8/5): Very good - Amazing view - Unique experience More noisy and a bit smaller than expected
- Storms (9/5): Very exclusive feeling hotel, nicely decorated with a fascinating story. - This hotel feels like you are staying in your own little home. It’s a very unique experience definitely worth a try.
- Molly (9/5): Beautiful veiw and adorable appartment! - The location and the view was amazing. The bed was so comfortable and the decor was adorable. The shower room was very cold and the shower did not have fantastic pressure.
- Dorka (9/5): Superb -
- Kevin (2/5): This room is unhealthy. No one should stay here until this has been remedied. - The room was charming and well-located. While I enjoyed the idea of the room, I became sick while staying there. The walls have very obvious black mold(see pictures) in many locations. I contacted management, who said they would look into it, but they never contacted me again.
- Maximiliano (7/5): Good -
- Caleb (7/5): Good - The view and location Underneath the house (terrace etc), there were so many spiders and spiderwebs everywhere. Place needs to be water blasted down. It was a lovely little place, but way too expensive for what it was!
- Katrina (10/5): Perfect location in a very unique station house - Location was excellent. 2 mins to the metro and 3/4 minutes into Centraal Station
Beautiful view over the canal from the property The only negative thing I could comment on was the fridge. It wasn't very cold
- Metta (9/5): Lovely little house, excellent location - Really nice place and easy to reach from the city center either by metro or just walking - the trip takes about 10 to 15 minutes. The room was big enough for two and had a little fridge. I would stay here again! The place was quite noisy because of the traffic. It didnt really bother us but I think for light sleepers it might be an issue
- Andrew (10/5): Great stay and excellent food. - Breakfast was incredible. Dinner was also incredible. Pool, sauna, and massage were also very good. The service staff did a great job as well. I think the tap water treated me poorly, giving me a bit of a sore throat and didn’t taste very great. Once I left the location this issue went away, so I can’t verify that information for sure but it seemed to be the case.
- Gcjfs (8/5): Very good - Great location in Amsterdam North. So nice to be in a normal suburb and not in the central area. The M52 was across the road and took us all around. The three day travel pass is a good idea. Located near supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. It was a lot of fun to watch the boats on the canal. There is traffic noise.
- Drea (9/5): Was a lovely and comfortable converted space in a great location. - Great location with easy access right by the Metro. Very clever and wonderful use of space. The house slippers provided were a nice touch.
- Emily (7/5): Pretty good, nice view of river, good amenities, though along a road and requires Metro use - Location was very close to the metro, and despite being on a fairly busy road, it was not that noisy in the apartment (unless an ambulance siren was on or a motorbike roared past). Otherwise was a cute little place with pretty good amenities for the space it was in. Very good communication from hosts, and easy check in and out. Minor: Although close to the metro, it did mean every time we wanted to go to the city we had to buy a ticket to and fro, which was not something we had considered we would have to do (we thought we would just be able to walk).
- Hungus (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, one stop on Metro line from Dam Central and then it's just across the road. Lovely view over the park
- Merve (1/5): waste of money - They have cancelled my reservation while i am on my way to the hotel! they moved me in another hotel just for 1 day! the next day they moved me back to my previous reservation place with a broken toilet! In addition they asked us to take uber as a apology but paid just half price! do not recommend! - Mohamed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Annie (8/5): Planning our next trip in a different sweet property! - The location of the sweets hotels are amazing , slightly out the way (which is great) amazing view, pretty much sound proof, slept really well. Can’t wait to check out the others! Not much to complain about.. for the size of the property you can’t really have it laid out any better than you have it! A slightly bigger kitchen area is all I could of asked for, can’t complain because we spent more time in the city! Also flexi pass didn’t work and had a bit of a panic as it was Sunday night
- Jennifer (9/5): Peaceful scenic location 5 mins from dam central - The location of this property is not to be beaten. The views surrounding are amazing. Local shops are 5 mins walk away and the metro station is just across the street taking you to dam central in just 5 minutes. This is the second sweets property I have stayed in and this one I highly recommend for anyone who wants some peace and quiet but still wants to visit the city.
The bed was super comfortable.
The are is enjoyable as you get to see everyday people and everyday life outside of the tourist traps There was an issue with mould which has since been addressed. The team however are very responsive to any issues.
- Aditya (9/5): Superb -
- Naomi (10/5): Amazing stay in a perfect little apartment - Beautiful little apartment with amazing canal views. Very clean and everything you would need for a short stay. Tram links in to the city centre are exceptional and very close by. Highly recommend!
- Gabriella (10/5): Good support for emergency cases - Very good central location, nice and clean accomodation, good heating and good support from SWEETS. :) It is not the fault of SWEETS, but we managed to close ourself out without a phone and the entry card upon arrival. Due to the good customer support and help of a stranger, we managed to get in within a few minutes (they sent a new code to the stranger guy who helped us by downdloading the app and entering the code). Maybe a phone number of the SWEETS customer service put somewhere outside would be a good idea for such cases, and a reminder at the door (inside) NOT to forget the card inside. :)
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jamile (10/5): Exceptional - Great bed, so nice and tidy
- Nathan (8/5): Very good - Really loud sounded like thunder coming from the front of building
- Shani (10/5): Exceptional - it was great! Its not like a regular experience in a regular hotel; more like Airbnb but with a whole staff that stay in touch with you.
theres a metro station literally in-front of the house so it was very convenient! the view is the best deal u can get! there is a small coffee table that was very very small but thats ok
- Zoia (9/5): The property itself and the location of the place were just amazing. Thank you for the most beautiful and unusual place - The location just besides the metro station and the view for the canal was amazing!
I also liked the key system - very handy. The sink shared between the hall and the bathroom was handy but a bit uncomfortable at the same time.
- Anonymous (8/5): Unique stay with a cozy ambiance - It was a very cool experience to sleep in a bridge house. Its sth what you usually would never do. The room is very cozy and has an inviting vibe. View is nice on the water and nature. Interior was super cute and enhanced the ambiance of the room. The park is <5min away and has a lot of cute little ducks and pigeons. The fridge (mini bar) was not cold enough to keep food cold. The noise was less bad than expected and is just part of the experience. Its fun how everything shakes slightly when a metro comes and the noise you can hear from the street. If you go there you should embrace that as part of it - its not ment to be a super quiet hotel room but rather an experience. Otherwise they provide earplugs for the super sensitive sleepers.
- Linnea (7/5): Good - Really special and beautiful place. The inside air was quite bad and there were mold on the walls. I do not recommend staying if you are sensitive to mold.
- Tal (8/5): we loved the apartment, the location (right in front of the metro) and we had a great time! Whenever - I used the flexipass app as mentioned to do :) Honestly everything was great besides that I expected the interior to be slightly bigger, at least some space to cook in case we wanted to, because we got there thinking there'd be kitchen equipment as mentioned, so I bought some bacon and we had to throw it away because we couldn't cook it.. Besides that, the shower's water flow wasn't great.. Those are all small things that haven't affected our stay much, but would've definitely improved it.
- Adam (8/5): A beautiful bridge house nestled out of the way but still easily accessible to Centraal Station! - The building itself is beautiful, a fantastic use of space. The view from the bridgehouse is amazing and you can get to Centraal within 5 mins of leaving the property! Out of the way but still well connected!
The bridge house does vibrate a little when heavy trucks/vans etc crossed but it was to be expected and definitely added to the feel of the place! The tea/coffee maker is a kettle - other than that, nothing to grumble about!
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Olivia (8/5): Very good -
- Laima (10/5): 10 out of 10! - Great location, cool decor, exceptional views, veeeery comfy bed, clean and spotless apartment. Close to a supermarket (5mins walk) and only 1 Metro stop away from Amsterdam Centraal. Will definitely stay here again, I loved this little bridge house! Only downside- Noise levels! But for me personally it wasn't a big deal- the earplugs (provided) did a great job, slept well during my stay!
- Esat (10/5): Very Unique Experience - It was a unique experience to stay in a bridge house. You can easily reach the property by taking the ferry from central station as free of charge and walk around 15 minutes. Check-in process was also very smart that you manage the open the door via application that hosts provided the step by step instructions. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. There were also tablet and speakers in the room. Nothing
- Simon (10/5): Sweets - Everything Nothing
- Ricardo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nonbinarygamer (7/5): Great location but noisy - Great location literally just a minute away from the metro and only one stop away from the city centre. Nice view of the canal. You are right on a busy road, the noise is not too bad if you close the bedroom door, but if there is a bus coming, and you are right next to the station so this happens regularly even at night, then the whole house shakes. Definitely one for the heavy sleepers.
The sink arrangement is a bit weird too, it is shared between the bathroom and the kitchenette with no diving wall, so you best not wash the dishes while your partner is using the toilet literally opposite one another.
- Polly (8/5): Very good -
- Ali (8/5): comfortable, but - The view
The bed is very comfortable
Access to metro everytime a metro train passes, the whole place shakes.
- Sharon🇲🇹🇲🇹 (10/5): Amazing and romantic room - The river underneath 🔝😍 The noises outside
- Irit (7/5): a nice, once in a lifetime experience for us. would not recommend it for people who wake up easily. - beautiful decor and good proximity to public transportation and city center. also great coffee in the room! VERY LOUD every time a car crosses the bridge. also the toilets were clogged when we arrived and it took too long to fix it, eventually we got money compensation for that but it was an unfortunate way to begin our vacation. once the toilet was fixed it worked fine for the rest of the stay.
- Marlene (10/5): Small, but accommodating! - Great location, away from the craziness of the city. Not a busy hotel! Close to the train! Lovely park nearby! Took a minute to figure everything out- but once we did, our stay was easier!
