• O'Neill (8/5): A lively historical city with beautiful scenery and sunsets. - We really loved the staff, they she extremely friendly and helpful. We thought it was a Great location. The city was lively and easy to navigate. We can't wait to come back. And explore more of Croatia. The room was right downstairs. The a/c stopped working the last night, we think because someone else had it on a different setting. We could also smell other people's cigarettes from the other rooms creeping into our room.

Olisimme toivoneet, että sinänsä kivassa huoneessa olisi ollut enemmän säilytystilaa tavaroille ja pieni pöytä aterioinnille vaikkapa kylpyammeen sijasta. Näin siitä syystä, että valmistimme itse aamupalan huoneessa. Huone on selvästi tarkoitettu pariskunnille, jotka nauttivat aamupalan ravintolassa.
• Huw (10/5): Perfect base to explore Dubrovnik Old Town. - Everything! Apartment is tucked away in a great part of the Old Town a stones throw from some fantastic cafes and superb restaurants. The room itself has loads of character and is reasonably quiet come night time. Facilities are ideal for a short stay. Room was very clean! Nothing. Check-in / Check-out location is five minutes walk away so bare this in mind but it's not an issue.
• Jonathan L (10/5): - I had a wonderful stay at La Vita e Bella in Dubrovnik’s Old Town. My room (Room 1 at La Vita e Bella IV) was recently renovated, spotless, and full of thoughtful touches. It had a small espresso maker with pods, a teapot, a tiny safe, and even fresh fruit. The bed was so comfortable, with soft white robes, luxurious towels, and a beautiful bathroom featuring both a large tub and separate shower. The mini fridge was stocked with still and sparkling water, and the whole space felt elegant and well-designed. The building is older, so rooms may all be different, but mine was gorgeous. The staff were very helpful, giving me great advice on the best gelato in old town. (note: you should go to the main office about 300 yards away to check in. The entrance to the stairs is in an alley used by the Restaurant Marco Polo.) Perfectly located and full of charm — I’d definitely stay here again!

• Grace (9/5): Great apartment in a perfect location with very helpful staff - Lovely room right in the centre of Dubrovnik old town. Very clean with lovely facilities. We booked this very last minute and the staff were very friendly and accommodating and kindly allowed us to check in early. Communication was great and check in very easy. Be aware that there are stairs up to the apartment and in the apartment so may not be suitable for all.

Photos of the property are accurate so was exactly as per expected. No issue for us but you are on the top floor of a building so if mobility is an issue don't book here as there is no elevator.

• Wayne (10/5): Beautiful - Everything it was superb the location was excellent you were in the heart of old town with everything at your doorstop. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and I note others made comment on no lifts in Dubrovnik lifts are not allowed to be added to the buildings as they are UNESCO listed. If that’s important don’t stay in old town, but you only carry bags up once and down once and we were offered help to carry up. The little touches of the sun strawhat, L’Occitane toiletries were lovely. I’d stay again! The town is confusing with street names so just some clearer directions of gate to enter from and how to get to reception would be useful especially in July when it’s 38 degrees Celsius and the cruise ship crowd are in the town but this is very minor.

• Sandra (6/5): - The room itself was fine. Lighting is nice. Bed was comfortable. Room was quiet. We had a hard time operating the A/C and room was hot. The toilet was not clean upon arrival. The room is located up several flights of stairs and the stairwell was not lit on the bottom floors. Check in was at a different location and check in person not helpful for directions to building. In addition I booked a transfer service from airport and we waited for 30 minutes before I had to call to find out the driver was “stuck in traffic”. We took a taxi which was easy but whole process was not professional.

• Lisa (10/5): - This apartment is lovely and in a dandy, central location. It’s a little challenging to find initially, but easy enough once you do find it. Very attractive and fresh and comfortable. There are quite a few stairs to climb which could be a deterrant for some. There are also stairs in the apartment. The comfy bed is upstairs with a bathtub, robes, a small refrigerator, and skylights. Pleased to have good coffee/teas in the room and bottled water. The restaurant downstairs looks nice and was always busy, but we did not have a chance to try it. Our luggage did not make our flight. The reception staff were helpful in reuniting us with our bags the next day. We greatly enjoyed our stay at this property and found Dubrovnik to be charming, if crowded with tourists.

• MARUCIA (10/5): Fabulous decor and attention to detail - We had the most amazing couple pf nights in Dubrovnik staying @ La Vie est Belle IV. The apartment is decorated to extreme good taste and the attention to detail is incredible. One must go 4 flights of steps though, which is not surprising as the city is about ups and downs in order to maximise the reduced space.

• Moira (6/5): - Travelled overnight from America and dragged our cases through the old town over cobbled streets to the hotel address in 85 degrees heat only to find no one at the location to let us in. A waiter next door kindly called them for us and was told they had sent us a Whatsapp message giving us a different address where to collect the key... so they "assume" you have data on your phone which we didn't so hadn't received this message. As for the hotel - there are a lot of stairs up to the room. The duplex room we booked was very nice and modern and I loved the wallpaper and color scheme but it is not very "workable". Downstairs there was a tv on the wall but the only chairs were 2 small hardback ones. No closet space except for 5 hangers on a tiny rail - no drawers - no space to put suitcases. The kettle/cups were downstairs on a table but the fridge for the milk upstairs. There is a bath in the middle of the floor upstairs which is pretty to look at but takes up way too much space which could be better used.

My flight was 3 hours delay, and when I arrived at the reception, nobody was there.l made phone call several times in the heavy rain. They answered quite soon and gave me directions to get into the hotel.It takes 10 minutes to understand the message and how to open the door. It was a freezing cold day, so I wanted to use hot water to get us warm .Unfortunately we couldn’t get enough hot water for two people. Overall not so bad, but they can improve the apartment more.

• Shelley (9/5): Great stay bad goodbye. Loved Netflix! - Beautiful room. Great location. Nice bath tub with slippers sewing kit lotion shampoo even a razor!!! I fell on the slippery non lite marble steps. I thought I broke my ankle. I took a bath And I recovered. Someone with bad bones would have broken something. They need to light these bottom 3 staircases!!!! Also I was told I had a ride to the airport. Less than 2 hours before I got a text that I did not have a ride! It’s 35 miles to the airport!
• Tim (8/5): Excellent accomidations, beautiful city. - The location is amazing just a very short walk away from the main areas to visit. The room was small, but very well put together and beautifully decorated. There are great coffee and food options right nearby. Our host helped us arrange rides to and from the airport and was very responsive. We didn't realize there were going to be live nightly music concerts on the days leading up to New Year's. The proximity to the main music stage is a giant plus if you've come to experience that. The volume was really high but thankfully wrapped by 11 PM on the two nights before New Year's. This might not be the best location for guests that are sensitive to loud music, or head to bed before 11.
• Jacob (4/5): Apartment at the top of about 100 steps, which makes it difficult for guests with baggage. - It’s well located about 350 meters from Pile Gate with all the great historic buildings, Dubrovnik Cathedral and Old Town Port just around the corner. The bathroom fittings were of top quality and toiletries were of high quality. There are plenty of restaurants and bars within close proximity. After doing the booking through booking.com, it took us lot of time to check-in as the check-in was done online through telephone calls and messages. In the end the key was also send online as they didn’t have a reception or staff to attend. The worst part of this accommodation is that you have to climb about 100 steps as the apartment is on third floor. It is not easy to carry all the baggage up through the narrow staircase without proper handrails and there is no assistance provided as there is no staff at the property. Bed is so close to the toilet, which didn’t have a proper exhaust. Bathtub is next to the bed. Toilet had smoked glass doors and with lights on, one could have a faded view of what’s happening inside. There were too many big pillows of same size, but, none of them were comfortable or suiting our requirements. Though the room is said to be modern, it looked so clumsy with the bed, furniture, bathtub, too many pillows and too many lights. The entire wall was painted with some dreadful black and white paintings. There was no hook or hamper in the shower area or outside to put the wet towels. Check-out process was not explained and we had to call the contact number, who asked us to leave the keys in another building, which was a short walk from the apartment.

Aircon in the summer is a must and it works well. No noise from outside whatsoever. If I come back I’m coming here again.

Tiny entrance area with narrow wooden. No railing. stairs up to a loft bedroom. Could not get suitcase upstairs so had to leave in entry. Also bathroom was on ground floor. At night if you had to get up to use bathroom, very dangerous trying to navigate stairs down without handrail in the dark

• Nava (5/5): interesting stay in lovely old city of Dubrovnik - beautifully designed, but impossible for people who have trouble with stairs. Hard to stand up in room and bring luggage upstairs and a bit small for us.. as above
• Woei (9/5): Superb - Good Bed, and this room provides speaker which was impressive The Room is at top floor, but I have no issue with it.
• Meredith (10/5): Highly recommended! Would definitely stay there again! - Gorgeous room, updated and decorated beautifully! Large shower with ample hot water. Great AC. Easy check in and out process. Fantastic location! Not necessarily a dislike, but more of a good to know. — Parking cost close to Old Town were much higher than anticipated. I recommend utilizing the property parking reservation option, if possible. — This location is a little hidden, it’s inside the entrance to the Marco Polo restaurant.
• Ravinder (10/5): Contemporary and comfortable location in the Old Town - Great apartment with lovely bathroom and amenities. central location in the midst of the old town. The Property was not the easiest to find and the staff helping to organising the stay were not the easiest to contact for arrange parking / directions to the property. Not suitable for older couples due to the stairs.
• Anisimov (3/5): I checked out before date. Nobody refund me - Nice clean room in nice comf location. The bath! I took this number only becouse of bath! I came here after long way, and was expacting take a bath with hot water...but the point is boiler in this room can contain only 70 liters of hot water. This is about 1/6 of bath.. Conclusion - it is impossible to take bath in this hotel. noway. This is photos of beauty bath only for attraction more custommers.

• christa (6/5): - Great spot, neighbours were noisy with music and stomping on the stairs but that can't be helped. Be aware too, if someone has a bath before you that the hot water runs out.
• E (10/5): Exceptional - The room is great, bath tub is a very special and useful addition. Room also has a Bose speaker which is just great, alongside coffee maker with several capsules, safe, fridge... Building is near the very center of Old Town Dubrovnik (Stradun/Placa street). The bath tub is hard to fill with warm water, because after 1/3 or 1/4, water becomes cold, but it was easily solveable by one or two kettles of hot water. The room could be a little more clean, but overall it was clean enough so this wasn't a big problem. Lightning in the hallway for floors 1 and 2 is not working (or it is not there at all), so we used phone flashlight because there are lot of stairs (lightning on the 3rd floor worked perfectly, on motion).
• Hawks_26 (8/5): Dubrovnik from above - The rooms were nicely decorated and the beds were comfortable. We had been left without accommodation because of a booking.com error and the host was very helpful with our very late night booking and help with accessing keys for late check-in.There is a lot of complimentary items and they do offer luggage porter service up the stairs if booked the day before. Our host was very helpful but I think we need to outline some of the minor defects. One of the rooms had a funky smell, there was mould in both bathrooms, cups were unwashed and the doona was stained. 100 stairs up to the door with large suitcases was not great.
