Guest Reviews
- Lance (6/5): Laing - Central location Cleaniing prior to arriva was not great.
- Kenneth (4/5): It was convenient but I wouldn’t stay there again - Had two bathrooms It’s right next to the fire station which had sirens going off regularly particularly during the night.
There was mould in both bathrooms. This was probably caused by the exhaust fans not working.
The mattress was too soft.
The air conditioner in the bedroom didn’t work properly.
- Kaye (5/5): Great location but noisy, nice space and layout for living . Essentials were clean but attention to detail sadly lacking - The location was excellent apart from being right next to the fire station. It was a VERY noisy location , not only because of the station but traffic noise was constantly loud. We were located in 501 which was on the corner of the building looking towards Hyde Park. The view was pleasing but much more window insulation needed to enable more comfortable sleeping.
The living space was very good and the layout suited our needs. The bathrooms, kitchen and laundry facility was good It was a tad tired! A bit missing on the kitchen floor, living room rug ripped, blinds stained, ceiling in the main area badly stained, lack of decent extra pillows and a lack of attention to detailed cleaning. However the essentials like bathing area, sheets and towels, kitchen sink and fridge
were clean but the freezer hadn’t been cleaned for sometime . The little extras like something to clean a surface other than a soapy dish scrub and a dust pan and broom were needed. I couldn’t find a mop so thank goodness nothing was spilt on the floor
- 282388af0d4172eeacfbd21d5c4e56fe (9/5): Great value for money, so easy to get around the city. Would definitely stay again - Great location, easy to get around and facilities were excellent
- Judith (5/5): Suited our needs but would not recommend it due to noise level. - Central Location and size. The person who met us with the key was obliging. Noisy. The worst I have experienced. Couldn’t sleep for traffic noise and the busy fire station next door. This apartment has insufficient window glazing and window covering.
We also had no idea there was no front desk or luggage storage, or that we had to pay to get the key between 6&10pm. This info came after we paid and booked.
- Natalie (8/5): Definitely worth it! - The location was excellent! Way to get to all the major city sites. The windows did not block the noise, and it was quite noisy until very late. The main bedroom air conditioner didn’t cool the room.
- Jacqueline (9/5): -
- Carolyn (9/5): We had a great stay. Absolute great location. -
- Ishwor (7/5): -
- Jaime Andres (10/5): -
- Tevanui (8/5): - Pas de réception. Attente d'une heure dans la rue avant d'avoir reçu les clés.
- James (9/5): I’d stay here again. - Great location. Friendly staff, let us check in early. Next door to fire station however I couldn’t hear sirens during the night. Not much supply of toilet paper so had to buy our own.
- hyeongyeong (10/5): -
- Ya-chuan (7/5): - 空間很大 兩個房間不會互相影響 隔音設備不好 路邊人們的聲音都聽得到 旁邊又是消防局
- Costa (7/5): -
- Mark (9/5): Comfortable and relaxing stay. - Great location. The apartment had everything we needed. Balcony area got hot with the A/C outlet located near there.
- Fiona (7/5): Overall a good stay. - Apartment was in good location, was generally clean & tidy. Communication wasn't great. Left standing around on street outside building waiting for person with key for apartment.
We were asked to provide time of arrival, which we did. Also to text when approx an hour away. Which we did. There was no-one to meet us. Booking did not make it clear that there is no reception staff/area for this accommodation.
When trying to contact person re key collection - they weren't responsive. Call was redirected to ? a cafe. Person turned up with keys approximately > 15 mins after agreed meeting time.
Mould in bathrooms. Could be cleaned/removed with a steam cleaner.
Odd set up with bedrooms. The main bedroom with ensuite was set up with two single beds. The second bedroom had queen bed & use of shared bathroom down the hall.
Hotel located next to fire station so expect to have sleep interrupted by sirens.
- Marianne Uuldersma (8/5): Prachtig appartement op een geweldige locatie - De locatie was geweldig , evenals de grootte van het appartement Erg gehorig.. vooral de slaapkamers
- Nicola (9/5): Great City Apartment - The stay was amazing!
So clean tidy and great for our group and a family.
Two single beds on one side and a room on the other side with ensuite and wardrobe.
Washing facilities and coffee downstairs and a convenience store and close to trains and light rail. It was very close! The two singled bed room was extremely loud, can hear everything through the windows, almost sounded like the window was open but it wasn't.
Could hear conversations downstairs from the 5th floor, pedestrian lights beeping and cars zooming past. If you're a light sleeper or have kids the room would keep you awake. Luckily I wasn't.
Very nice accommodation!!
- Boomsticks (6/5): Loud fire station - Central location The location above the fire station, disturbed sleep every night as it was loud
- Eit (8/5): Good experience - Location great Noise - windows need to be double/triple glazed
- Jasmine (1/5): Not a pleasant stay. - Location- walking distance to main city attractions. The property did not look like the photos. There was no open balcony and the rooms did not have as much windows and lighting as advertised. The apartment was not clean. There was dust all on the balcony and the floors felt gross. There was a dirty sponge left under the sink. The bathroom didn’t have a fan so it felt so steamy after a shower and gross. You could also smell sewage coming up the floor when using the basin. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were thin. The fire station is below so it’s really loud. Should consider advising what level the apartment is on as if we knew it was level 2 we would have stayed elsewhere. Definitely over priced for what it is.
- Linda (6/5): I left a new bra there somewhere I don’t suppose I will get it sent to me the location was good could be a bit cleanermo - Location Is very tired needs a spruce up
- Boyd (2/5): - Sirens all night from Fire Station next door.
- Lisa (7/5): - Staff were very helpful and made check in very easy. Good location and close to lots of places to eat and short walks to shopping or to the wharf and plenty of public transport close by. Very spacious and light with a nice outlook. All the amenities you need some are a but old but do the job. Can get extra noisey as its right above a firestation
- Mark (8/5): - Great location. No car parking.
- qiyu (8/5): -
- Hsin-Lin (8/5): -
- Karen (10/5): -
- Taryn (8/5): - This spot was perfect for experience Sydney
Marathon weekend.
- Chris (5/5): - Location It was so noisy! You could hear every noise from the street and it made it very difficult to sleep.
- Gemima (8/5): Perfect minus the price and extra charges - Great in every way - location, facilities etc. Too expensive to bring with them adding a $100 late check in fee and a $500 security deposit which took over a week to get back
- Anita (9/5): Superb -
- Andreas (10/5): Exceptional -
- William (9/5): Would highly recomend. - Location was excellent, great access to all Sydney CBD has to offer. Close to parking. Great views from 5th floor. Hayden who delivered keys was easily contactable and met us on arrival.
- Suk (4/5): Charge for late check in - Not good.
They charged fee for late check in.
It was only at 11PM.
- Anne (9/5): Superb -
- Tracy (5/5): thought it was expensive - I booked this for my staff and as I wasnt with them at check in there was a bit to back and forth on the phone with the host
The host was really friendly and helpful no toilet paper or soap
- Darren (8/5): Great location - Great location and close to public transport. Nice little balcony and good facilities. Unfortunately the apartment is very close to a major fire station and the alarms sounded through most nights. The windows are not double glazed and it was very noisy at night.
- Sandro (4/5): Disappointing -
- Jean (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (7/5): Enjoyably interesting - Close to everything Close to the fire station
- Karin (9/5): Great location to many attractions & Apartment safe & secure, & had almost everything that's needed. - Location great. Easy to get to many locations in the city & light rail nearby. Fire station next door was a let down as sirens kept us awake through the night. Extra pillows be nice as only one, & it had no case, for 2 bedroom unit.
- Leony (8/5): Very good - The location
- Ally (7/5): Good - The aircons didn’t work in the bedrooms
- Lynn (9/5): Very comfortable apartment close to Hyde park - Very spacious, 2 bathrooms, very comfy beds. Location was easy walking distance to Town Hall light rail and Hyde Park, fully equipped kitchen. Quite noisy being next to the fire station.
- Rebecca (8/5): Very good -
- John (8/5): Clean unit , comfortable and location is great - Location Fire station below
- Caitlin (7/5): Great location - Excellent location and good facilities. Able to stay with a friend and feel separate with the x2 bedrooms and x2 bathrooms The only negative is that the street noise is very loud and it is next to a fire station. Bring earplugs! But that is the trade off for being in the heart of the cbd
- Joshua (6/5): Nov. 2024 - Location to transport Cleanliness, needs a decent clean. There was mould in the showers. Noisy, due to thin walls and not double glazed windows. The fire station next door wasn't the worst but keep it in mind.
- Ellenor (8/5): Very good - There was no toilet paper and we had to wait to get our keys
- Mikiko (8/5): Convenient spot to get around - Convenient The walls are thin so it’s pretty noisy from the sound of streets.
- Tamu (10/5): - The only problem is the Fire Department which is attached to the building. He could hear all their calls, alarms and their sirens. That department is the busiest department I’ve ever seen. They were going 24-7. We could also hear everything on the street. The windows were not sound proof. Everything else was great.
- Marita (7/5): Overall excellent location - Roomy and great location Lots of road noise at night. No where to leave our luggage the day we left
- Sam (8/5): Very good -
- Len (8/5): Very good -
- Elizabeth (3/5): We paid for three nights and left after one night. We couldn’t face another sleepless night. - Location was convenient to where we needed to be. Noise. There was constant noise over night due to roadworks outside the building. Really loud jackhammers, trucks and yelling. Also it’s next door to a fire station.
- Mikiko (9/5): Great location. - Great location. Convenient key handover. Noise of the street so bring earplugs.
- Bernadette (9/5): Second time I’ve used this apartment and it meets my needs - This apartment is located right in the CPD access ito everything so convenient Located between four stations It’s noisy at night but the ear plugs worked a treat
- Lissa (8/5): Very good - Location, and fully self contained with washer / drier I couldn't get out onto the balcony, and didn't know it was right next to a fire station, lol
- Rosemary (8/5): Very good - It was next to the fire station and there was construction being done into the early hours of the morning.
There were no privacy blinds on the windows.
- Serena (9/5): Superb -
- Genaro (10/5): Great location and easy check in - Facilities None
- Robert (2/5): Would not stay there again - Location The construction work being carried out at night did not allow any sleep. Blinds need replacing; limited cutlery and other required repairs.
- Fay (6/5): Good location but won’t be staying there again. - Location was great except for being next door to fire station. The apartment is a bit shabby, needs a deep clean and the kitchen accessories sorted out. The cutlery drawer was not accommodating 4 people and the
Glasses/crockery were mismatched and chipped. There was no need to have four kettles, two toasters and two vacuum cleaners in a two bedroom apartment. It made it look unthought of people staying. There was dust and bits everywhere and the tumble dryer lint filter had what looked like 7-8 layers of lint in it. The “outside” patio area is enclosed so not as it seems in the listing.
- steve d (10/5): - All good
- Jeanetta (6/5): A nice place if you like noise of city traffic good location for everything - Central to everything close to the park shops places to eat. Unfortunately a bit noisy for us lots of traffic and next to the Fire station so was woken up a lot during the night. Double bed wasn't in the master bedroom 2 single beds in main bedroom instead.
Not enough cutlery only one tea spoon to share and no dessert spoons for us for breakfast had to take in turns using the teaspoon. The flashing light outside our bedroom in the hallway
- Angela (8/5): Overall was good. Will stay here again. - Easy access to cafes and shops. Apartment is very safe and clean. the delay in collecting the keys.
- Jacobus (5/5): Location ok but very noisy - Nicely furnished apartment The noise. On a busy corner next to a fire station. Fire trucks coming and going all day. No sound proofed at all. Noisy especially over weekends.
- Sharyn (7/5): Orange Stay Apartment great location, very clean, tidy and roomy ... but a little too noisey - The location to the train station, convenience stores, cafes & eateries to excellent. We had to arrange a meet up with the host, unfortunately we had a half hour wait at 9;30pm wet & raining and had just been fleeced by the taxi driver ... all bad timing. Not our hosts fault I know
Being next to the Fire Station wasn't great .. they had a busy weekend with bells & whistles all hours
- Gary (1/5): Very disappointing we had to move to other suitable accommodation- so cost us twice for our stay. Booking.com needs to r - Location Very excessive noise at night - construction work ongoing next door gng well up to midnight and constant traffic noise. Nothing mentioned in the reviews. Linen needs replacing pillow cases ripped and a good clean required of the facility. We had to move to other accommodation because of the excessive noise. Double glazing of the windows would help.
- Sharyn (4/5): I would not have booked this place had I known about the Fire Station. Sleep is important. - The actual accommodation was fine - just what we had wanted. However the building is right next door to the main Fire Station for the Sydney CBD. All day and night we heard the call into the fire station and then we heard the loud speaker for the firemen and then the sirens. It was constant and so noisy we couldn't sleep through it even with industrial ear plugs.
- Yeseon (7/5): Good - Good location A little bit dirty
- Nikavar (6/5): Pleasant - Loved the location. The noise. Construction work and the apartment was not soundproof.
- Air (9/5): Superb - location is nearly Queen Victoria Building just walk around 5mins Near Fire station at night some loudly
- Minh (7/5): Good -
- Betti (3/5): So Disappointed!! - The bed was comfortable, the apartment was ok. I talked with the concierge ( Zeus ) on the phone from New Zealand 2 days before I was due to arrive. He arranged for me to check in at 12 instead of 2pm..I got to the apartment at 11-50pm he didn't turn up at 12, He didn't answer my many calls or voice messages till nearly 1-30pm!!! ( I Was standing in 31 degree heat with nowhere to sit for while waiting!! Zeus rang me at 1-25 and said " Did my colleague not ring you? ) NO..and he said he would sort it out. He arranged a colleague to come let me in 20 mins later. There was no toilet paper!! ( Had to go out and buy some!! ) Veranda was surrounded by windows (only 2 ) that only opened about 3 inches!! It had the heating unit in veranda blowing hot air the entire time we were there!! Road works ouside both sides of bedroom windows. So much noise at night....I took lots of photos of chips on doors, 2 small dents on fridge freezer, 2 filthy coffee cups, and other marks throughout the apartment in case they tried to charge me for it!! .I was incredibly upset..It ruined my first day in Sydney... I've had no appology or any further contact from Zeus ( Concierge) Not even an offer of any discount...Disgraceful, unprofessional, and unacceptable!! Would never recommend the apartment to anyone!!!
- Karin (7/5): Good - The location was fantastic. The apartment was spacious ! Had all your basic facilities. The balcony was a plus It was next to a fire station , so was noise wise at night was a bit disruptive . Would be good if there were more utensils/ equipment for cooking ( such as just extra rubbish bags , sponge for washing ) .
- Caitlin (7/5): Overall a nice stay, great location and generally clean. - - Great location convenient for public transport usage
- Nice layout
- Felt secure - lack of amenities (no toilet paper or hand soap in the bathrooms, minimal cutlery, no washing line)
- Qian (6/5): Pleasant -
- Scott (4/5): very disappointed and dont reccomend - location was handy to cbd the tv didn't work most of the channels were pixelated even after contacting the property. they said someone would look at it and it still didn't work and would not answer calls or texts. even after sending a video of the tv .Property is located next to the fire station and sirens go off all night. very noisy place
- Melanie (5/5): Passable - Really convenient location, good facilities, was great having washer/dryer available. Super noisy - take earplugs.
- Kylie (5/5): Was clean enough, convenient, the facilities in the room were good - The location was great, easy to get around and find things in walking distance. Liked the 2 room and space, having 2 bathrooms was good. It didn’t have face washers, very limited toilet paper, the soap was watered down, the couch in the room was very uncomfortable. The noise was crazy loud and the amount of road works made sleeping a nightmare.
- Bahie (3/5): Unfortunately it was not a pleasure experience due to the noises at nights. - It was very close to the metro station so we did like the location. The place was so noisy because there was no double-glazing that we couldn't sleep at night, even with earplugs. It was such a relief when we got back home.
- Sam (5/5): Passable - Location is good, apartment is also clean and has the basic facilities. Even though the apartment was clean, the building were infested with cockroaches. The cockroaches comes through the kitchen sink drain and toilet floor drains. I manage to kill at least 5 cockroaches, but many more escaped which is gross as they roam around the apartment.
Aircon in the double bed doesn't cool even though adjusted to 18C, it just feel like in fan mode.
And the apartment was directly the fire station, so it can be noisy at times
- Michael (10/5): Was a good place to stay lots to do - Location No Balcony
- Regina (7/5): Great location with modern building. Could be soundproofed to improve quality of the stay - Great location and modern apartment that’s decently sized Not the most soundproof apartment building and given it was near a fire station, we heard loud noises throughout the day at random times which may not be great for those that are sensitive to sound
- Lucy (9/5): Comfortable, well equipped apartment in central Sydney - The apartment had everything we needed - everything was very clean and the location was good if you wanted to see all the sites of the city. Easy to get to from the airport on the train as it's walking distance from the stations (either town hall or museum). We had a toddler with us and the apartment was fine with him (nothing unsafe or breakable within reach, and there is an elevator). William met us with the keys and explained about entry to the building etc, it was all very easy to check in and out. The only thing is that it's pretty noisy due to its central location - but I guess any apartment round this area would have the same issue. I don't think it's so much a problem if you're travelling as a couple or group of friends, but we struggled to get our son to sleep.
- Jennifer (9/5): This was a really comfortable, well-equipped apartment in a very central location. - Excellent location close to public transport and tourist attractions. The noise from the street was loud, especially with road workers using heavy equipment during the night. However, we saw this as the price for such a central location.
- Kaiwa (10/5): Accommodation facilities were excellent and locatio n was very convenient - I like the setting and the facilities.was very covenient None
- Sin (1/5): Not recommended to stay! - Location, but not easy to find the building entrance Very dirty!
The carpet/ bed sheet/ pillow case/ blanket were so dirty with stains, blinds were dusty, table was sticky. Also we saw cockroaches! The room assigned for us is not same to the one shown on hotel.com site!
- Gary (1/5): Be warned, not what it is advertised to be - Location The lack of communication about construction and road works, no dbl glazed windows, so did not get any rest till after 2am every night, the agent was totally u helpful or considerate and denied knowing about works even though notices were in the foyer and lifts, ensuite shower flooded bathroom..
- Salvatore (8/5): Great place to stay with a great location. - Great location, friendly people, clean and modern The sound insulation was quite poor, we were next to a busy part of Sydney and a fire station and got woken up a few times during the night by emergency services.
- Maureen (4/5): Great location, terrible noise problem. - The Location was great and the facilities were good but the noise from the traffic and the fire-station next door was terrible. The noise never stopped even in the middle of the night. The traffic noise was terrible and it went on all the time.
- Jane (6/5): Pleasant - Beds were comfortable There was no tea, body wash. Floor of bathroom 1 was very dirty. When we arrived, the lady who was there to let ys in continued to talk to a young man and kept us waiting for some time.
- Karen (8/5): Very good - Location to the city and transport was excellent. It is right above the city fire station and a new train station which is under construction, so ear plugs are necessary to sleep. Despite the noise we would stay there again. The shower head in the ensuite bathroom pointed at a funny angle and couldn't be adjusted. No closing door on the showers so bath mats for the floors would have been useful.
- Christine (8/5): Perfect location, just hard to sleep with the street noise - Location was great
Beds were very comfortable The road noise and the fire station next door.
Also night roadworks right outside on the street while we were there.
- Harrison (9/5): Superb -
- Tony (9/5): Superb -
- Pene (8/5): Very good - Loved the location and how easy it was to get around. Lots of space in the apartment and stocked OK. the apartment needs a decent clean and the rug changed. appreciated the pantry that was there although a few more teabags would be good.
