• Richard (10/5): Fabulous - Ideally situated in touching distance of the Colosseum and other attractions. Rooftop terrace with exceptional views to sit and peacefully soak in the Roman atmosphere. It was perfect for those who want to be self sufficient- so nothing not to like.

• Charlene (10/5): Lovely Stay - Great location within easy walking distance to just about everything, including Colosseum. Trevi Fountain, Bourghese gardens, Roman Forum and train station. Historic, generational family owned hotel that shows pride in ownership. Staff was responsive to all inquiries prior to arrival, and accommodating throughout our stay. Super clean and well appointed room, that was larger than expected with a fantastic view. We especially enjoyed the rooftop terrace and took advantage of the common kitchen area with fridge. Some excavating going on just across the street which was a little noisy in the morning. Not a problem with the windows closed though.

Nabolaget er meget charmerende og hyggeligt og så er det storslået at være “nabo” til Colosseum. Udsigten fra tagterrassen er uovertruffen - med direkte udsigt over Forum Romanum mm. Personalet er meget imødekommende og hjælpsomme. Vi kan varmt anbefale et ophold på Maretti - vi vil helt sikkert vende tilbage næste gang vi skal til Rom! Ingenting
• Nancy (8/5): Would you have any issues recommending this place as a great location, staff and beautiful roof top. - Location was excellent. Close to the Colosseum, various Piazza's, restaurants. The room was called Vela, meaning view. The view was a brick building, not great. The room top terrace was excellent perfect way to spend a relaxing evening. Breakfast was based in a cafe around the corner. Continental was on offer with the option of a cooked omelette. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room did not have a view as advertised and the bathroom system was very noisy when used.
• mrabbit2 (9/5): Great stay near the colosseum - Property has a beautiful rooftop terrace with a view of the fori and the colosseum. Also room was cleaned everyday. Staff was helpful in explaining the surrounding area and good restaurants. We went to a few and they were really good! Especially taverna romana. It is housed in an ancient building and while it was renovated, it does have its quirks. There was sometimes black particles in the water which I imagine is from the old pipes in the building (not too uncommon in Rome I hear). The bathroom is on a platform higher than the rest of the flooring and it felt a little bit like jumping down when exiting the bathroom. TV is small with mostly Italian channels. Nothing major, just minor things that is more than compensated by the location and the view.

We had a light dinner one night on the rooftop terrace, which boasts great 360 views. The breakfast option wasn't onsite, but was just a short walk away.

WHAT DIDN'T YOU LIKE / PLEASE READ THE COMMENTS BELOW ( too much text for the lower box ) However 270 Euros were taken from 2 separate places in our room on Sunday 1st March between 1100-1500 hrs. As there was no safe provided & we did not wish to carry extra money on our persons, we left the excess in what we considered safe places. Please note that only the Euros were taken, not the 220 pounds in Sterling, which was in the same wallet. The owner was informed, but sprang to the defence of his staff, whom he said were vetted & trustworthy. We have no proof but are equally adamant that the money was taken. We feel this needs to be recorded with you as the Booking Agent & we would value your feedback. We had a wonderful time despite this, but it left a sour taste as we have no resolution. PLEASE READ THE COMMENTS ABOVE Also the offsite breakfast was unacceptable, thanks for the reimbursement of the vouchers.

The room was sparsely furnished but very functional. The rooftop patio was a very nice bonus with an outstanding view of the Roman and Augustus forums.

The breakfast selection at the nearby restaurant was excellent. We also liked the pottery workshop next to the hotel :)

Had a very nice rooftop for views also where you could see the colosseum. Breakfast was at a nice restaurant right around the corner. Staff were exceptionally helpful with advice about what and how to see all the great sites in Rome. Went above and beyond to help us figure out how to get to Naples on the Train even though there was a strike and most trains not running. Loaned us umbrellas on our first day when it was raining. Helped us get taxis and were just overall great. Nothing.
• Limor (9/5): בית הארחה מקסים במיקום מעולה - בית הארחה מקסים. לקחנו חדר טריפל לזוג כדי לא להצטופף עם מיטת קינג סופר נוחה, והיה גדול ומרווח. היה לנו נוף מטורף לפורום ולעתיקות ממש מהחלון. מיקום מצוין- כל מקום נמצא כ-20-30 דקות הליכה ברגל גג. ממש קרוב להכל אבל רחוב קטן ושקט. המון מסעדות באזור. צוות סופר ידידותי ועוזר. בכל קומה יש מטבח משותף קטן מאוד שימושי עם קפה טוב, תה, מקרר, מיקרו וחדר אוכל קטן, אבל מאוד לא נוח לישיבה. השירותים חשמליים וצריכים לטחון הכל. עשו טיפה בעיות אבל זה בקטנה ומיד סודר. המקום קטן ואין שום לובי או שירותים בלובי כך שאם הטיסה מתעכבת כמו אצלנו, אין מקום מסודר לחכות וזה מבאס. נתנו לנו לשבת לחכות בחדר האוכל בקומה וזה היה יפה מאוד מצידם אבל מאוד לא נוח. לקחתי ארוחת בוקר כי ראיתי ביקורות מצוינות עליה אבל שינו את מסעדת ארוחת הבוקר והארוחה לא טובה ולא שווה את המחיר. עדיף לאכול בחוץ

Tesisin üzerinde bulunan Roof teras Roma’nın en güzel manzaralarından birine sahip. Ayrıca otelden çıkıp bir çok tarihi noktaya yürüyerek ulaşabilirsiniz, ulaşım için taksi veya farklı bir vasıtaya ihtiyaç kalmıyor. Otele vardığımızda bizi içtenlikle karşılayıp tüm sorularımıza samimiyetle cevap veren ve bizi doğru bilgilendiren Pierro’ya teşekkürlerimizi iletiyoruz. Yardımseverliği ve ilgisi takdire şayandı. Maalesef tesisin kahvaltı için yönlendirdiği Restoran çok kötüydü. Çalışanlar çok çaba, sunumu masaya atarcasına bırakıp saygısız davranıyorlar, adeta gidin dercesine bir tavırları vardı. Böyle bir tesise hiç yakıştıramadım, ayrıca kahvaltı dedikleri bir omlet ve ekmekten ibaret. Bu tesisi tercih edeceklere tek tavsiyem kahvaltı dahil oda satın almamak.

• Ralf (10/5): Wunderbarer Kurzurlaub in der ewigen Stadt der unvergesslich bleiben wird. - Sehr gut, in einem antiken Haus mit überwältigender Dachterrasse, sehr netten Gastgebern und wohl bester Lage in ganz Rom. Bad sehr klein, ansonsten alles top.

• Summer (10/5): Beautiful - It is old but unique! In a great location and easy walk to the colosseum. A lot of great restaurants and places to eat too! Love the roof top, it has a beautiful view of the city!

• Ventsislava (10/5): Stunning views and beautiful vintage apartment! - The view from the terrace is amazing! Our host was so welcoming and nice! He offered some suggestions for our upcoming trip to Sicily as well! We had a great time!
• Valerie (10/5): Best view in Rome! - Great building and room but the rooftop terrace cannot be beat! Incredible view and a very inviting space. We took our own aperitivo to the terrace and took in an amazing sunset. In the morning I sipped my coffee and enjoyed the quiet. The staff was so welcoming and informative. We dropped off our luggage two hours early —they gave us our key so when we returned we went straight to our room where our luggage had already been delivered. Finally the breakfast was excellent.

• Tom (8/5): Neat old building in an excellent part of town. Would recommend and happily come back - Location was amazing and it was a neat old building. Included breakfast at the local restaurant was great Bathroom wasn’t great, but that’s to be expected in an older building.
