- Abigail (6/5): OK for the price. - Quirky little hotel. Reasonable size room. Could do with a lick of paint, but clean. Nice shower room. One of the windows was very poorly fitting, so when it was windy, the wind whistled through and was very noisy. Bed was comfortable but the pillows were not - very lumpy and old. I would have complained if we had a longer stay. Very good breakfast. Good location near to buses and underground. OK for the money.
- William Thomas (2/5): - The staff were very friendly and the place was cute, the food wasn’t that great and our room was on the top floor up 8 flights of tiny narrow stairs! It was truly a nightmare trying to get our luggage up. The room was so tiny we had to store our luggage in the shower. It was quite cramped and the ventilation was poor. There was a window in the ceiling that could be opened but it was raining and this just got our bed wet. The staff were fantastic always offered us a beverage on the house for our exhaustive haul with our luggage.

- Andrew (10/5): - A very pleasant stay at a lovely little pub in an oasis of old Vauxhall surrounded by the modern high rise buildings. As I had an appointment at the USA Embassy it was very conveniently positioned, no more than 10 minutes walk away from both the Embassy and the mainline railway station. Lovely helpful and pleasant staff, if I visit Vauxhall again I will choose to stay here.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Small rooms, no AC, no elevator. - The staff was nice and friendly. It was close to a grocery store. There are 2 bus syops within a few minutes walk. The room was very small. You cant unpack, you open your suitcase get what you need, pack what you dont then figure out where to put the suitcase so its not in the way. No elevator and rooms are on the second floor and the ground floor has high ceilings. No AC, so it can grt warm in the summer.

- Andrew (6/5): Good hotel for a short stay - Was a good stay overall. Unfortunatley the weather was very hot and as there is no AC the room was extremly warm for one of the nights. Other than that it's a nice wee hotel. Michelle was a great hostess and obviously works very hard to ensure all her customers are looked after. All the staff were very friendly. Good location for getting about London and for us it was very handy for Wimbeldon.
- J (4/5): Too hot to sleep. - Nothing they could do with how hot it was in London but the room had no air conditioning and no fan on the hottest day of the year. Window in the bedroom couldn’t open and the one in the bathroom had no privacy from the overlooking building site. I asked for a glass of water with some ice and they had no ice in the pub. Room was unbearable to sleep in. No fridge in the room either.
- Monique (4/5): - The hotel is located above a bar. You have to check-in going through the restaurant. There is no elevator. Luckily the staff took our heavy luggage to our room. The room is VERY small, and there's NO air conditioning, on a sweltering night. Pictures of the hotel are deceiving.

We so much enjoyed the four young ladies that took care of us and the pub they made suggestions and helped us navigate London. The food was really good and enjoyable. Great prices on pitchers of mixed drinks. If you stay there, you need to know two things there’s no elevator and no air-conditioning but you have a fan.

- Seyed Amir (8/5): - The hotel's proximity to public transport (Nine Elms and Vauxhall) was advantageous. The room was adequately sized and clean; the king-size bed was comfortable, though the single bed was not. Breakfast was substantial and satisfying. Michelle provided excellent and attentive service. However, I wish to bring two matters to the owner's attention. The lack of an operable window resulted in poor air circulation. Secondly, while acknowledging the building's age, the provision of portable air conditioning units in each room is recommended, as the existing fans are insufficient. Despite these issues, I would recommend this hotel.

He gave us a complimentary drink when I arrived, and since the wifi wasn’t working in the room, and I had to come to the restaurant/pub in the hotel to get wifi he offered me a free drink. He really tried to get the wifi working in the room, but it never worked. He was very apologetic. The bathroom was very nice, and the bed was very comfortable. I had requested 2 twin beds but they gave us a king sized bed. The food in the restaurant was pretty good., There’s no elevator.

If you’re looking for a quiet pub hotel - this isn’t it. There is double glazing which helps. Easy walk from Vauxhall.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming, helpful, and full of great local tips — they really made our stay extra special. Our room was clean, comfy, and quiet — just what we needed after travelling — and the location couldn’t have been more convenient. We had early morning appointments at the US Embassy, and being just a 10-minute walk away made everything so easy and stress-free. The pub downstairs is a real highlight too — buzzing atmosphere, great food, and friendly service (special thanks to the team behind the bar!). It’s rare to find somewhere that gets both the comfort and character just right, but the Griffin Belle absolutely does. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

- Gary (8/5): - This is a great place to stay just south of the river. I walked to Parliament Square in 35 minutes but also near Nine Elms Tube. Its a classic pub with rooms. My Fontera room was warm, clean and cosy. Nice bathroom with spacious shower. The room was small but I have had smaller in London. Big TV in room and big screen sports downstairs in the nice pub. There was no real ale available though - handpumps fitted but no beer that night. Staff were exceptional, everyone extremely pleasant and helpful. An excellent choice at a reasonable price.

- Allan (8/5): Visit to US embassy - Greeted and feted by the best staff I have ever come across. Only downside was the number of stairs to the room at the top but again the staff were so helpful and friendly. If you want a friendly helpful hotel and are looking for reasonably priced accommodation this is the place. Location is near the US embassy.

- Ian (8/5): Basic but decent overnight stay hotel - A very welcoming hotel with clean but basic rooms. Steep stairs to the rooms so not suitable for those with walking difficulties. A nice sports bar and decent pub grub is served including a hearty breakfast.

Only a few minutes walk from nine elms tube station, sainsburys is en route so any last minute shopping can be done. Lovely room and shower, plus breakfast being included is a nice touch. - J (10/5): Great for weekend break - We stayed here last November so we knew it would be ok. The rooms are quite small but comfy beds. The location is really good within walking distance of Westminster and Battersea power station .This time we got the train to Windsor from Vauxhall station which is a few minutes walk from the Griffin Belle. Good breakfast to set you up for the day plus you can also get a meal in the evening. All the staff were very pleasant and friendly

- DEBORAH (8/5): A handy sports pub with rooms - This is a pub with sports bar that rents out room as a hotel. We were offered a welcome drink which was lovely. The bed was huge which was lovely but the pillows need to be replaced, they were uncomfortable. The room was on the small side but we have stayed In smaller. The room and bathroom were clean and had everything that you need. Breakfast starts at 7.30 but we asked if we could have it a bit earlier as we were going to the US embassy but this was declined. Breakfast was ‘ok’ the poached eggs were hard though and the scrambled eggs were dry, the toast was nice but needs cooking all the way round. Would we stay again? Probably but not bother with the breakfast.

- Grace (10/5): Last Minute Gem - Found this lovely little hotel at the last minute and was pleasantly surprised. Great location and a good value, it also had some personality and the convenience of the pub downstairs for breakfast and grabbing a drink or meal. Not too noisy despite that; the main inconvenience was carrying my bag up some narrow stairs since there is no lift. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a nice stay in London
- Angela (10/5): Fabulous Find - Fabulous find. Excellent staff. Spotless accommodation. Everything you need . Breakfast very good with good variety. Many steps to bedrooms so please be aware.
- Helen (6/5): Just OK, wouldn’t come back - It was all OK, biggest issue was the room which was situated next to the front of the pub right next to the metal sign which creaked and moaned all night. The neon sign also was never switched off and created light in room around the poorly fitted curtains. Breakfast was poor and edible mushroom.

- Linda (10/5): Embassy visit - We only stayed one night. We decided to stay for dinner. Good offers on the menu and a free drink from the bar. Dinner was good. We had a double bed and a single. The room, ensuite, towels and bedding were very clean. The towels were a good size with free shamppo, conditioner and shower gel.All the staff were very kind and helpful. The day manager Michelle was fantastic. We would definitely stay here again. Convenient location for the US embassy, just 12 minutes walk.
