I had a reservation for Dec 6-8. Deep in the NYC holiday season. About 10 days prior to arrival, I received an email in the middle of the night that the property was closing. I immediately emailed the sender and two others at the property for assistance in a rebook as things fill up very quickly in NYC. Never received a response. I placed numerous phone calls over the course of the next few days. A human would answer, transfer me, and the receiver of the transfer would hang up. I was able to rebook at a separate Hilton property. At a higher rate and higher parking. I was left with no choice. Once rebooked, and the week of my trip, I finally received an email that the Graduate rebooked me to a Margaritaville Times square. Going from a Hilton to Margaritaville? No thanks. Further, my initial reservation was one night points, one night cash. My rebook was for the cash night, only. The Graduate said I would have to rebook the rewards night through Hilton. What kind of help is that? Definitely not the way a Gold member should be treated. I called the Hilton Honors phone number. They were no help, didn't care. Frustration.

If you want a real skyline view, you usually need to stay across the river. That’s why this hotel is special. Located on Roosevelt Island, it offers one of the most unique arrival experiences in New York—you can take the famous tram and enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of Manhattan as you head to the hotel. I’ve stayed here twice now, and both visits were memorable. The hotel’s signature sculpture near the check-in area is something every guest will end up taking a photo with—honestly, it’s a 10,000% chance. As you can see from the photos, the views here are on a completely different level compared to most Manhattan hotels. The price is also quite reasonable. One thing many travelers forget is that there is a destination fee, so make sure to fully use the benefits that come with it. If you don’t take advantage of it, it’s basically wasted money.
• B4564WVjc (2/5): Long-time Diamond member deeply disappointed — reservations canceled with no relocation support - have been a loyal Hilton Diamond member for many years, and what has taken place with The Graduate NYC is unacceptable. I booked three rooms in April 2025 for a Christmas family trip. With no advance notice, Hilton informed me that the hotel was closing and unilaterally canceled all three reservations. What is most disappointing is that Hilton has made no attempt to relocate my reservation to a comparable Hilton property in New York City. Despite hours on the phone and multiple escalations, I’ve been told that Hilton has “no obligation” to provide replacement accommodations and that the only solution is 130,000 points. That amount does not cover even a single night during Christmas week in Manhattan, let alone three rooms for a full week. This experience reflects a dramatic decline in reliability and customer care from a brand I once trusted without hesitation. I have stayed with Hilton more than 40 times this year alone, and had every intention of continuing that loyalty. However, based on how this situation has been handled, both my business travel and my company’s travel will be shifting to other brands. If you are considering staying at this or any Hilton-affiliated property, be aware: even a confirmed reservation months in advance is not secure, and there is no guarantee of support if the hotel closes or overbooks.
• Meander63124942812 (2/5): Booking was cancelled without any explanation, no news from the hotel... - I booked a double room through booking.com for next April to visit New York with my daughter for her 12th birthday. The booking was confirmed through the Booking.com app. 2 weeks later, my booking suddenly gets cancelled without a word of explanation and the website says the hotel is "sold out" for the period of my stay!!! I have been trying to get in touch with the hotel ever since, but have not had any reply from them. Cancelling a booking without any explanation and without even the slightest of apologies or compensation is imho far below the standard I would expect from the Hilton group. Very, very disappointed traveller here...

This August just passed, I booked up this hotel guaranteed non refundable through booking.com at a cost of £1,260.00 I have just received an email on 21st November 2025, through booking.com telling me the hotel has cancelled my booking because they are "overbooked". Really?!?! I am an extensive business and leisure traveller that has travelled for over 40 years BUT I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED THIS SORT OF TREATMENT WITH COMPLETE DISREGARD FOR A CUSTOMER. I AM DISGUSTED BY THIS TREATMENT.

Maar wel aan de prijs, maar tegenwoordig waar niet? - Locatie prima, rustig, goed bereikbaar met de F line of gondel vanaf de 2e avenue. uitzicht magnifiek zowel binnen als buiten het hotel. schone kamers ( wel klein) maar dat was geen probleem. Ontbijt, was prijzig en beperkt. Maar wel smakelijk!

La vista da quelle camere e' davvero imbattibile. Anche il rooftop bar e' molto carino e la vista e' meravigliosa. E' stato comodo spostarsi con metro (la linea F percorre tutta Manhattan) e con la Tramway, anche il transfer in aeroporto e' stato veloce. Tolta la camera con vista, non rimane molto. I servizi dell'hotel sono molto basici, direi sotto gli standard dei 4 stelle Hilton americani. Innanzitutto la doccia senz doccino flessibile, piuttosto limitante. Carenza di amenities in bagno (nessun sacchetto per rifiuti igienici, nessuna cuffia doccia ne' beauty kit). Sicuramente la carenza maggiore e' la mancanza di refreshments, che negli hotel americani sono uno standard. La camera non ha bollitore per the e caffe, che sono disponibili nella lobby ma solo al mattino. Per il resto della giornata sono in vendita presso il bar/ristorante, che pero' chiude alle 22h00. Quindi dopo le 22h00 non e' possibile accedere ad alcun tipo di bevanda, non essendoci alcun distributore o vending machine in hotel. Essendo la zona completamente sprovvista di negozi, soprattutto la sera, abbiamo trovato questo aspetto molto limitante. A NY abbiamo sempre trovato, addirittura nei 3 stelle, acqua, the e caffe nella lobby e almeno una vending machine in struttura.

• M1759KLethanr (10/5): 30th Birthday at Panorama Room - I had the pleasure of having my wife's 30th Birthday at the Panorama Room. The private area that is sectioned off was the perfect size for 55 people. We had our own private section of the outdoor balcony, the area in front of the dj booth and the whole private room where we were able to bring our own decorations and really make the space what we want it. Danuta and her entire staff (Joey and Moose to name a few) were amazing for the entire night and very resourceful the days leading up to the event. The food was amazing and served with plenty to go around for the whole party. The drink and food servers were on point keeping a great flow to the party. My wife and the entire group had the best time and we hope to do an event there again soon.

Pour nos 3 dernières nuits, la vue du 14è étage, sur la skyline, était splendide. Personnel très sympathique. Plutôt agréablement surpris par le restaurant, notamment pour les dîners. Les petit-déjeuners sont bons. Le rooftop est vraiment incroyable, avec sa vue imprenable sur la skyline, et son ambiance. Ventilation en chambre trop bruyante, à couper la nuit Pour nos 4 premières nuits, la vue du 8è étage, sur la skyline aussi, était moins sympa (fenêtre pas au centre de la chambre, donnant sur le toit du bâtiment en face plus que sur Manhattan). On avait pris l'option upgrade étage élevé, mais ça n'était pas disponible. Ca reste cher, surtout les petits-déjeuners, mais la qualité était bonne, et c'est New York !

The beds were very confortable! It's great to have access to tea and coffee from 7 to 11 am. The shower curtain was mouldy. But the staff offered us our drinks from the rooftop bar when we checked out so that was really nice! The prices of the breakfast was quite high so we never ate at the restaurant.

• Vered (10/5): מלון אידאלי לשהייה במנהטן גם נגיש לאתרים השונים וגם שקט. - החדר מקסים ושקט, המיטה נוחה, המקלחת נקיה . הנוף מהחדר מדהים. כמה כיף להתעורר בבוקר לנוף כזה. נחמד שאפשר לפתוח את החלון וליהנות מאויר צח בחדר. זה לא מובן מאליו במלונות בארה"ב. הצוות נענה לבקשות שלנו וגם סייע במתן הסברים. המסעדה במלון טובה. נחמד שיש קפה בלובי בשעות הבוקר. הנסיעה מהמלון נוחה מאוד - נסענו ברכבל (נהנינו מאוד), ברכבת התחתית וגם במעבורת. כולם במרחק דקות בודדות מהמלון. ההתמצאות קלה מאוד עם האפליקציות השונות. יש סופרמרקט ומסעדות (לא אכלנו בהן) ברחוב הראשי כ- 12 דק הליכה מהמלון. עלות המלון גבוהה יחסית ללינה ללא ארוחת בוקר. אמנם ניתן אשראי של 15 דולר לחדר למימוש במסעדה, אבל זה לא כיסה אפילו מנה אחת . מעבר לכך שפשוט המסעדה היתה מלאה בשעות הבוקר. לא נורא- נהנינו מארוחת ערב טעימה במסעדה.
• Gilad (10/5): Excellent family stay with amazing views and design - We usually stay in one of the downtown Manhattan hotels. Still, since this trip was with the family, and design is essential to my wife, who prefers a modern aesthetic, we chose The Graduate on Roosevelt Island. At first, I was concerned about the location and the commute to the city, but it turned out to be highly convenient. Both the cable car and the F subway line are just steps away (about 100 and 200 meters from the hotel, respectively), making travel to Manhattan quick and easy. The cable car itself was an unexpected bonus; it offers a truly spectacular view of the city. Our room on the 14th floor had an amazing view of Manhattan. Even if you’re on a lower floor, you can always visit the rooftop lounge for an even better panoramic view of downtown. The gym at the hotel is small and basic (but open 24/7), they have an option to use an adjacent pool and a larger gym, but timing was problematic for me (only opens at 08:00 or 09:00)

• Anchor05 (7/5): Yes but No - The view is stunning, no street noise, a real treat 9f not luxury. First time on Roosevelt Islamd, a treat and not far from downtown. Few restaurants around but nothing fancy. Hotel is nicely decorated, and free coffee/tea available every morning from ground floor. They brag about the rooftop and yes, it is really nice but what they don't tel you is that no one under the age of 21 is allowed. It is considered as a bar so forget the dinner option with your teens/kids. A bad experience happened to us but I won't elaborate on here. For the price we paid, it's not acceptable not to have sleepers, bath robes or even shower cap or glass for your toothbrushes, very cheap ! Beds were ok. I unfortunately will not return there. The big +++ here are the view and the noiseless city noise.

La zona in cui è posizionato l’albergo è stra pulita, piena di edifici moderni ed è super tattica per qualsiasi direzione tu voglia prendere.La fermata della metropolitana è a 3 minuti a piedi, linea F che con 3 fermate (7 minuti) ti porta direttamente a Rockefeller Center!!! Tutto super comodo! Ho trovato la doccia non sempre pulitissima e un odore forte di candeggina quando pulivano la stanza (che ci può stare ma era veramente forte)

• living4music27 (6/5): Not for us - My family and I stayed here for three nights. Unless you book a kids suite, this hotel is NOT family friendly. Upon arrival, I will say the woman working reception was very pleasant. We opted for Valet only because we knew the weather was coming in and we had children ages 9 and 5. We thought we would do it for convenience. However, the valet was almost never around. First of all, the valet parks the cars immediately next to the building. Literally you walk 10 steps and there is your car. The next morning we needed our car and the valet was not there yet. So the receptionist got us our car key and we got our car ourself. When we got back to the hotel later in the day, I parked my car in a valet spot and handed my key to the valet. The next day, the valet was there. He handed me my key and I walked to my car. When we got back, I parked my car again and handed him my key. I paid $70 a day to basically park my own car and get my own car out of a Valet spot. $70 a day for NON SERVICE!!!!!! If you say your valet, actually do a job!! What a rip-off!!!! We got in later than planned the first night because of our flight and traffic. We couldn't even eat at the hotel restaurant as I looked at their menu online and there didn't seem to have any kid friendly meals. Now, that's not to say that there weren't any, but it wasn't on the menu online. If there is - please make sure to put it on the online menu! We wound up door dashing food to the hotel because of this. The food at the restaurant is also overpriced. A bagel with lox should never be $22. Sorry not sorry. We stay at Hilton's often because I am a Hilton Honors Member. We expected there would be a little "store" there where we could buy a drink or whatnot. NOPE! We were given to cans of water and told we can go to the Duane Reade to buy additional drinks. I have kids that need to take medications daily, morning and night, and that is just not convenient. I was so shocked. We had a room with two queen beds, as we were two adults and two kids. Yet, for some reason, we only had towels for 3 people. Make that make sense! I had to ask for additional towels! If they know that 4 people are going to be staying in a room, they should make sure that there are enough towels in there. I will say, that when I did ask for more, they did arrive quickly. So I was very appreciative of that. The views from the hotel are very nice, and the subway and tram are very close by. We didn't utilize the rooftop bar as we had kids. But I heard security talking to others, and they were RUDE. It's a cute, kitchy hotel, but not for my family. We won't stay here again.

Die Zimmer sind für New Yorker Verhältnisse gross genug. Die Betten sind sehr gut, wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. Bei der Buchung auf booking.com war das Angebot für das Hotel inkl. Frühstück angegeben. Am Schluss der Buchung war das Frühstück nicht mehr in der Buchung enthalten. Im Hotel selbst konnten wir auch kein Frühstück mehr dazu buchen, was sich als Glücksfall erwies, da das Frühstück zu überteuerten Preisen angeboten wurde. Solche Irreführungen in der Buchung verärgert den Kunden nur und die Unbereitschaft des Hotels darauf einzugehen unterstützt die Verärgerung. Schade! Generell sehr hohe Preise für Getränke und Speisen im Hotel.

• Saurabh (3/5): - Very poor service! They didn't even provide water in the rooms! One had to ask for it everyday which came after 2 hours! One day at breakfast we were a party of 6 of which 3 were to come 15 minutes later. They refused to seat us unless everybody arrived even though the restaurant was 75% empty!!! We had to stay 11 days over 3 reservations. For changing rooms, we had to pack and come down with luggage by 11 and re- check in for the other room!!! It seemed that they had little little rules to harass the guests! Overpriced mediocrity just because they are the only hotel on Roosevelt Island. Avoid if you can! It's only 5 minutes from 60th and 2nd by tram.

• ISABEL (9/5): A haven of peace in a crazy city, very comfortable hotel for work or leisure. - This was my second stay at The Graduate for work-related reasons. The reception gave me an upgrade on arriving, to a junior suite, which was sooooo great! The beds are extremely comfortable, the environment is calm, the restaurant staff is kind. You're in Manhatten in 5-10 minutes via the charming gondola or subway line F. The gym was quite dirty, behind the machines and floors.

• Martina Matt Jezova (9/5): - Lokalita hotela, atmosféra, čistota, pohoda, milý personál - všetko pekne do seba zapadalo. Mali sme izbu na 5 poschodí, ale vôbec nám to nevadilo. Mali sme možnosť otestovať aj raňajky aj večeru v hoteli - výborne sme sa najedli. Odporúčame hosťom využiť denný budget nakonzumáciu :) Na začiatku pobytu nás nikto neupozornil na to, že si máme rozdeľovať účet na obe izby, aby sme vedeli využiť celý budget 15 USD / deň / izba. Pri check out, nám uplatnili iba polovicu, no po upozornení a konzultácii nám milá recepčná vyšla v ústrety a uplatnila nám celkovú možnú zľavu. Bolo by fajn hneď na začiatku hostí informovať, ako využitie zľavy správne funguje, aby nenastali pri check out komplikácie :)
• Nadège (9/5): Calme au cœur de NY - L’emplacement, le calme sur l’île, la taille de la chambre, le thé et café en libre service le matin Le rooftop n’est pas ouvert tous les jours (jours de fermeture et soirée privative). Le fait que le rooftop soit ouvert au public et cela crée du bruit, du monde dans l’hôtel ainsi que la difficulté à avoir un ascenseur. Il faut par ailleurs même en étant client de l’hôtel, redescendre à la réception et être dans la file d’attente des clients extérieurs pour aller au rooftop.
• M2382QOmm (10/5): Amazing staff beautiful property - Great rooms, great location, Owen’s thoughtful attention to detail and accommodation was top notch, Yasira’s consistent congenial good mood and attentive vibe were a welcome hello each day. These two set the tone on excellence, and in addition to a beautiful clean property, they made the service really feel top tier. Promotions!
• Amélie (8/5): - L’emplacement très au calme par rapport à Manhattan tout en restant accessible grâce au métro. La vue exceptionnelle depuis la chambre au 17ème étage. Lit confortable et chambre spacieuse. Hôtel récent et très joliment décoré. Le bruit de la climatisation et de l’ascenseur. C’est LE vrai point noir. Prenez des boules quies. Ménage approximatif. 15$ par jour compris dans le prix de la chambre pour consommer dans l’hôtel : rien n’est à ce prix là donc on ne n’utilise pas ou alors on paye le double à 2 pour un petit déjeuner plus que médiocre. Un peu limite. 15$ de pressing mais pas possible de faire pour moins de 30$. Encore une fois ça pousse à la consommation. Prix très élevé au global mais c’est NYC ! Manque de rangements.
