Polina (5/5): Rooms photos are misleading. Staff mostly rude. Truly disappointing - The location is excellent. We went through every area of Buenos Aires, and this one is the best! A lot of good restaurants at the harbor, which is nearby. Also there is a lovely Sunday market, and a vintage store area! The cleaning staff was lovely, friendly, and the hotel is sparkling. It's also very safe - I forgot my bag at breakfast, and then forgot that I forgot it... so I didn't even ask for it, and it was returned to me next day by a sweet gentleman. Unfortunately, we chose this hotel for my birthday without reading the worse reviews, which are all correct. The room, the breakfast and most of the staff (with few exceptions) make the stay rather unpleasant. 1. The room on the pictures is not the one you get. If you expect a lot of natural light, see my photos - one single narrow window in the corner facing the courtyard. A dark and claustrophobic place - really sad for the birthday.... Read other reviews too - a lot of people had that disappointment. The answer is always "you should have asked to change the room" - I wonder why is the hotel consciously putting clients in worse rooms, or, if the rooms vary so drastically,is not giving clients a choice at check in? 2. We turned the AC on - and oh lord, it was LOUD. No way you can sleep with that rattling, even with ear plugs. 3. Staff is disinterested at best. You get a feeling you're bothering them with your existence. Cold minimal politeness, often not even a smile. In four days, not once we were asked whether we liked the room or enjoyed the stay. 4. Breakfast is extremely limited. Never seen such a small selection. No vegetables, no lactose-free milk. Few cuts of cheese and ham. Molded grapes two days in a row. The lady who was making eggs didn't speak anything but Spanish, which is not fully her fault. Paying her 5 hours of private English classes would cost the hotel a 100 bucks and help so much. Unfortunately, she was also quite unfriendly. One day, we ordered eggs, waited half an hour being only guests - they never came. When we inquired, she said it was too late (5 min past closing time) and she wasn't making us any (!!!). Even though it was her clearly her fault - I spoke slowly and even showed "for two people" with my fingers - also really, without eggs, there is not much to eat. Next day, I came with a Google translated request, and she still messed it up. Yeah.

Localização muito boa para o evento que eu participei e ótima par quem vai a turismo. o Wifi ficou instável, hora funcionava hora não funcionava, não havia mesa de trabalho no meu quarto, em tão tive que ficar na poltrona com o computador no colo, nada confortável.

La chambre était très bien, spatieuse, grande, calme, lumineuse, confortable. dommage que le petit déjeuner ne soient pas à la hauteur de l'hotel. Un peu simple et le personnel pas très agréable.

Colazione molto buona e completa. Museo bellissimo. Non mi è piaciuto com'era predisposta la camera. Sembrava una camera doppia arredata per una sola persona, 1 sedia sola, 1 solo comodino, 1 solo posto per appoggiare i bagagli. Ultima cosa, il muretto della doccia era un po' corto, perciò facendo la doccia si allagava il bagno.

The room was very clean and well maintained. The bathroom was also a highlight, the shower had great water pressure, which made it extra enjoyable after a long day out. One of the best parts was the staff. Everyone we met was incredibly kind and helpful. Truly grateful and appreciated. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and beautifully designed place to stay.

Je nach Lage des Zimmer kann es sehr ruhig sein. Es gibt aber auch Zimmer gegen die Strasse gerichtet sind, die dann schon eher laut sind. Wir konnten, weil es noch unbesetzte Zimmer gab, unkompliziert tauschen.

Luciana (7/5): A pesar de la buena ubicación y de las habitaciones amplias, la experiencia general no justifica el valor de la tarifa d - El hotel está ubicado en una encantadora casona antigua, muy interesante desde el punto de vista arquitectónico y artístico, junto a la tradicional feria de San Telmo. Las habitaciones y los baños son amplios y cómodos. La relación costo-beneficio no resulta favorable. El desayuno es muy deficiente y no está a la altura de la estructura del hotel: pocas opciones, frutas limitadas, panes de baja calidad y escasa variedad. Sin duda, es el punto más débil de la estadía. Otro aspecto negativo son las toallas, claramente desgastadas, con hilos sueltos y signos evidentes de uso excesivo. Finalmente, aunque la cama es grande y confortable, las almohadas son demasiado altas y voluminosas, lo que afectó la calidad del descanso, siendo necesario comprar almohadas adicionales.

Ulrike Caroline (10/5): Großartiges Hotel, in ehrwürdigen Räumen mit sehr freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Mitarbeitern - Lage und historische Räume mit hohen Decken, sehr komfortables Bett - sehr freundliches Personal Das Frühstück könnte etwas liebevoller und abwechslungsreicher ( verschiedene Kuchen zB, nicht jeden Tag die selben) sein und eine Espresso machine statt nur Filterkaffee wäre toll. Die Musik war zu laut - nicht jedem gefällt die selbe Musik

Great location near subway and good neighborhood for walking. I would not recommend the restaurant next door to the hotel, but several good choices in walking distance. Breakfast not great.

Paula Espina López (10/5): Excelente estadía, totalmente recomendable - El hotel es hermoso, es un espacio muy bien cuidado, todas las instalaciones cumplen con creces las expectativas respecto a calidad, comodidad y seguridad. La atención de las personas en recepción es muy amable y cordial, los mejores datos para moverse con tranquilidad en la ciudad. Los desayunos increíbles, muy buena atención, amabilidad y variedad de productos frescos y de calidad. La verdad es que todo me pareció muy bien.

Alejandro Martin (8/5): Recomendable, sin mucho lujo, gran ubicación y hotel acogedor. - La ubicacion esta muy buena, el hotel es hermoso y muy bien mantenido. Las haitaciones limpias y espaciosas sin mucho lujo. El personal colaborativo pero no hemos tenido buenas soluciones a algunos puntos que nos ocurrieron por ejemplo con su servicio de taxi. Es desayuno muy basico, y para el completo de la experiencia lo encuentro un poco caro.
Ahmad (8/5): - The hotel is a retrofit of an old building to a hotel. The installed bath tabs are too deep and not convenient to get in and out specially for older people. Location is excellent for walking to historical part of the city. I had some insect bit and suspicion of bed bug.

Ryan (10/5): Lovely hotel, fabulous staff - Amazing hotel and super accommodating staff. We stayed for almost a week and visited another part of Argentina. Then needed a hotel to stay last minute before our trip home and they were so helpful every step of the way. Would definitely stay here again! Don’t miss the coffee shops and empanada stores on the same street :)

Lindsey (10/5): Outstanding - Loved Casa Lapage art hotel. Staff were extremely attentive. Great location and neighbourhood. We have been to BA a few times but this was by far the best hotel and area that we found. They also accomodated a late checkout for us. Thank you all so much. Breakfast was a little dull but it seems typical of this country.

Thomas (10/5): - The Cassa Lepage was the greatest discovery of our recent three-week trip to Peru, Chile and Argentina. In some respects, it was unlike any hotel we have stayed in anywhere. Basically, it was the equivalent of having a studio in a chic, exclusive, art-focused building. The staff is delightful, the rooms (of which there appeared to be only about a dozen in total) are cut from former apartments in what was once an elegant hotel particulier, and the location is perfect for exploring some of central Buenos Aires livelier neighborhoods.

Richard (7/5): Great get away to explore San Telmo and centre of Buenos Aires - Art hotel in San Telmo area a 5 minutes walk to many landmarks in Buenos Aires. Comfortable beds, great showers. Friendly staff Room is a bit basic (for the price), the breakfast also pretty basic. Products (like yoghurt) are offered in re-usable packages (so without any data labels), we skipped. No bar or restaurant available in the hotel itself.

Jakovs (10/5): - The Belmond exceeds expectations. Upon arrival, we were greeted and cleansed of any concern. The staff pays attention to detail, accommodating any request. The property is historical and meaningful, encouraging relaxation and a connection with nature. All facilities are within comfortable walking distance and easily accessible. The Belmond, at its best, offers an exceptional breakfast experience—something to look forward to and reminisce. The pool complements the hotels beauty, alongside the animals, who are familiar with the property and curious. However, one improvement the Belmond should consider—the dinner experience at IPE (the smaller restaurant, poolside) did not meet expectations. While the food is amazing, the service was not consistent. Otherwise, excellent destination and a memorable experience.
James (10/5): - Cassa Lepage is a beautiful building, with loads of history. The staff was exceptionally helpful, and knowledgeable about both the details of the building and the surrounding buildings. I highly recommend this hotel for people who appreciate local character, and charm.

Susan (10/5): - This is a beautiful, really unique boutique hotel. Our room was spacious, the bed and pillows were very comfortable and the neighborhood is pretty quiet at night. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water and the bathroom was spacious. Breakfast is included in the rate and it was of very good quality with long hours. It’s well located for exploring San Telmo to the south and quite a few points of interest to the north as well. (For reference: we were in a deluxe suite).
Barbara (9/5): Beautiful styled , comfortable, artistic and great neighborhood hotel. - Artistically inspiring, great neighborhood, archeological museum in lower part of building reflecting the old neighborhood. Spacious room. Quiet, nice linens , wonderful bed, and shower. I would have liked some kind of lounge chair in the spacious bedroom area room. There was no where to sit comfortably. The entry space had a desk area with a straight chair as you entered, but served no comfortable purpose unless for laptop work.

Sandra (10/5): Hidden Gem in BA - This hidden gem is such a unique place … part hotel, part art gallery, part museum. Every space is well thought out with modern art juxtaposed with the excavated ruins of the original building. Our room was very spacious with a private door out to the lovely terrace area. If I had to point out a negative, there was no restaurant or bar in the hotel but there was one next door. Very minor in the scheme of things. This place was just lovely.
