- Cashmir (10/5): - Very clean. Very comfortable bedding. Very easy to walk to the train station nearby and the local market.

- Linda (8/5): Comfy home for a family of 6 - Great location with easy access to multiple train lines, restaurants, markets and multilevel indoor sports & play centre. We loved that it was a standalone house with lots of space for a large family. The amenities are a little dated but The staircase is quite steep if you have young children and elderly travellers. We were fortunate that the previous reviews stated this.
- Eman (1/5): Spacious, good location, but steep stairs that can be a big problem for people not used to Japanese stairs. - The spaciousness and the location. I gave this place one star because of the lack of safety on the steep stairs that have no safety rail. They were simply unsafe without rail for my family who is not used to Japanese stairs.
There are two sets of stairs. One from the first floor to the second where the living room and kitchen are and one from the second floor to the third where the bedrooms are. There is no safety rail and the stairs are narrow and steep. I had two elderly people in my group, 65+ and 75+ and the stairs were a nightmare for them. We also slipped on the stairs which wasn’t pleasant and a rail to hold on to would have been useful. We were a group of 8 people. The stairs in this location have made the stay a disaster and the movement to do simple things, like take a shower or go to the restroom impossibly difficult for us. It is simply irresponsible to not have safety in mind, especially in regards to the stairs. We stayed in the winter time and the downstairs was also absolutely freezing. In terms of comfort of physical movement between floors, this place was an absolute and utter disaster for us, especially as we are not used to Japanese stairs like those. We didn’t enjoy being in this house as moving was so stressful.
That being said, the location, spaciousness and amenities were all positive points of this location. The beds were comfortable, but the futons in the Tatami room were thin and if you’re not used to Japanese futons they might be uncomfortable.
The steep stairs without a safety railway made this stay very unpleasant for my group. That’s something to be aware of, especially in groups with elderly people not used to Japanese stairs.
- Wendy (8/5): Very good -
- Muhammad (9/5): Superb -
- Leif (3/5): Disappointment from start to finish - I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Kuromon Hibiki in Osaka, and I must say, it was an disappointment from start to finish. That's why we left - even before we stayed for a full night. The house is located in a residential area, which initially seemed promising, but turned out to be a nightmare.
First of all, the house itself is outdated. The interior felt like it hadn't seen an update in decades. It's evident that the
owners haven't put any effort into maintaining the property.
As if the outdated interior wasn't bad enough, the views from the house were atrocious. All we got was a miserable view of a dreary, unappealing wall in the back. It felt like we were trapped in a gloomy prison.
The worst part was the steep stairs that led to the sleeping floor. I cannot stress enough how hazardous these stairs
were. They were narrow, rickety, and completely unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues or even for carrying luggage.
It felt like climbing a mountain just to reach my room.
The parking situation was a complete joke. Only tiny cars could possibly fit in the tiny space provided, leaving no option
for those with standard-sized vehicles. This limitation should have been clearly mentioned on the website, but of course,
they conveniently left it out.
Now let's talk about the shower. It was a relic from the past, and not in a charming way. The outdated fixtures barely
provided any water pressure. It was a frustrating and uncomfortable experience to say the least.
But the most egregious deception was the size of the house itself. The photos on the website were carefully manipulated to make the place appear spacious and grand, but in reality, it was nothing more than a claustrophobic box. As a larger European individual, I felt like a giant cramped in a dollhouse. It was laughable how much they tried to hide the truth about the size.
- Ardette (10/5): Exceptional -
