• Emanuel (5/5): Budget hotel - fantastic location - We booked our trip last minute so we were very limited in choice as far as booking a hotel close to Shinjuku station and taking into account we were a family of 5. THE GOOD - excellent location , walking distance to everything - area felt safe & hotel was quiet considering it’s in the heart of the city - we arrived around midnight, staff were friendly, check-in was smooth - staff very helpful, ensuring all our 3 rooms were on the same floor - useful amenities like a microwave, mini fridge, and kettle all ok - Water pressure and air con good - rooms were reasonably clean - double room was comfortable, and for Japanese standards size was good -Cigarette smell as soon as you walk into each room -Everything is outdated -Reception area was cluttered and gave an impression of lack of upkeep -One bedroom wall has water stains over the wallpaper -Beds in both the twin rooms were squeaky and mattresses not comfortable - Twin rooms were dark and and felt depressing - Furnishings are a mix match of odd large pieces making room feel cramped By no means were we expecting luxury given its 2-star rating. However I was very disappointed as the photos advertised on line are not a true indication of what they look like in 2026. This hotel has so much potential. The rooms are crying out for a fresh coat of white paint all over the walls, doors and ceiling. Declutter and replace the mattress and towels. What a huge difference this would make.

Clean except of the mold on the walls The mold , the smell in the hall out of our room was very bad and the room was totally different from the pictures and when I told them it is the wrong room and it is not what we rent, they told us that there is no other available room and that the room from the pictures doesn't exist anymore.

• Alexandre (7/5): Buena estancia para una noche - La ubicación y el personal es lo mejor que tiene sin duda. Fuimos para una única noche y bastante bien. El hotel en general se ve antiguo, necesita una reforma. Lo mismo con la habitación, la cama no era muy cómoda y está todo antiguo.
• Natsue (3/5): Not satisfied. - The rooms were big. They changed the towels everyday. It’s close to Shibuya station and Golden Gai. The rooms are nothing like the pictures posted in Booking. When we complained about it, they said that “the pictures are old”. The wallpaper was coming off, the walls had stains, it was overall dirty. There was a lot of cigarette smell in the room, they didn’t even ventilate at all before we checked in. It’s a love hotel used as an hotel. It’s located in the “red zone” of Japan, it was surrounded by love hotels, clubs and girls/boys bar.

• Tualagi (6/5): It was good and what I paid for. I wouldn’t stay here again but I do not regret staying here at all. - I liked the location because it was close to night life. A walk around the city and not too far from the station. The facilities within the hotel weren’t amazing but it was the value I paid for. The staff were very kind and accomodating. As mentioned I loved the location because it was close to night life. At times I didn’t feel safe because I was a solo traveller. It felt more like a hotel for people to come and stay the night after a night out with someone they found in town. I don’t recommend this hotel for families.

• ORSO (8/5): Ottimo, consigliato soprattutto per giovani - nonostante quello che dicevano le recensioni nella struttura (e nella camera in particolar modo) non vi era puzza di fumo, qualche volta si sentiva un pò nell'ascensore e corridoi "comuni". la stanza era dotata di finestra ed impianto di aspirazione continuo (oltre che di aria condizionata). bisogna lasciare la chiave quando si esce (reception attiva 24/7), togliendo la possibilità di perderla ed ogni giorno e dando la possibilità di entrare per cambiare gli asciugamani/pulire la stanza/sostituire gli accessori. eravamo due amici di circa 30anni e non era il nostro primo viaggio, la zona è ovviamente quella di Shinjuku (anche non sapendo basta una ricerca su google), quindi sapevamo cosa ci aspettava avendo soggiornato anche l'anno prima in questo quartiere. zona sicura nonostante sia il quartiere di punta notturno della città, nei dintorni è presente una grande presenza di butta dentro, ma oltre la "scocciatura" di essere fermati ogni 5/10metri (essendo 2 uomini) nessun problema. Ah nonostante il quartiere, la stanza (al primo piano) era pure ben silenziosa, stanza di dimensioni superiori a tutti gli alberghi trovati in questo viaggio di 23 giorni. Per il prezzo pagato a notte di circa 30€ a testa, ci tornerei sicuramente volessi soggiornare nel quartiere. tutto veramente buono, sono rimasto particolarmente sorpreso nonostante le recensioni. ovviamente rapportato alle nostre esigenze di soggiorno, ossia dormire per quelle 4-5 ore al giorno, lavarsi ed avere un frigo per acqua e snack.
