Guest Reviews
- Suresh (7/5): Overall, we had enjoyed the stay. - Quiet Location, near new facilities, toilet, bathroom, washing machine are all looks new. ACs kept us comfortably warm during the cold nights. The loft gave my teenage son a private space. He loved it. Futon mattress could be little thicker.
Not ideal for two families.
- Felicia (8/5): HIGHLY Recommended! We'd stay again!! Though as a group of 4, would ask for another 2 dining chairs. - We loved the location. It was wonderful local, neighbourhood area. We arrived late Sunday night (approx 10pm) after taking taxi from Kansai airport (cost approx 17,200 yen/ approx $175AUD). For rest of week we walked, or caught train to destinations. Train station, supermarkets, places to eat a very short walk from accom - about 5min. It's a quaint little street, pedestrian and cyclists dominate, with occasional slow car coming down. Very quiet. We loved starting and ending each day in this area, and boys enjoyed sleeping on the futons. We also really enjoyed sitting and lounging in the beanbags and on the tatami mats. Ample towels were provided, which were needed (because they often stayed wet due to slow drying due to the humidity.) We were very comfortable downstairs and in both bedrooms thanks to the airconditioning! There were heaps of clothes hangers, umbrellas, washing detergent, and rubbish bags provided. We enjoyed familiarising ourselves with Osaka's system for sepearating rubbish into recylcing and combustables. Great system. There was a fair bit of cleaning products and large boxes stored in pantry, some guests may not like how aesthetically displeasing and messy it looked, but we didn't mind, particularly because house was very clean. With a quick tidy we were able to make room in pantry for our groceries. We made it work for us. We stayed during summer (June 22-30) - the upstairs loft gets too hot in these months to use. Drying clothes was very difficult, the high humidity meant clothes took a long time to dry on balcony and often smelt badly from staying wet too long. Drying in bathroom isn't an option during these hot, humid months as everything stays wet, even if window opened & ventilation running (bathroom doesn't have a heater/drying function for clothes like a lot of Japanese bathrooms have). We considered using a laundromat but with 4 of us, and no wash basket, carting washing outside of the accom was difficult. Dining room needs extra chairs to accomodate at least 4 people.
- Chloe (3/5): Next to funeral parlour. Dirty, coakcroaches, lots of broken furniture. - Nothing The property was dirty and not cleaned and had cockroaches. We had to buy our own floor wipes and antibacterial wipes to wipe the place. When we told the owner they told us to buy an insecticide spray and email them the receipt. They didn't even offer to come and clean the property properly. There are stains everywhere left by previous visitors. Even the bedsheets are stained. The furniture is poorly maintained and in bad condition, in particular one dining chair which was just a cushion balanced on 4 rods then covered up with a cloth to conceal it. The hair dryer did not work so thank god we brought our own. Location wise, the route to the property is very dimly lit (about 15mins walk to station) and to make things worse it's located next to a funeral parlour. Be prepared my friends if you're coming home after a late one.
- Mili (6/5): Pleasant - Location was quiet and short walk to station. Not sufficient bedding for 3 adults and two teenagers. Otherwise it was comfortable.
- Christopher (9/5): Superb - The property is ideal for our family of five, which includes two children. The place is more than spacious enough for us, and it offers great amenities. The place is perfect for a family in terms of size and amenities, but the walls might be too thin, as our footsteps could be heard by the neighbors. Although it was already 8 a.m. on a Saturday, we received a complaint because the kids were excited about exploring the unit and being playful.
- Yong (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenice (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aaron (9/5): Superb -
- Roisin (3/5): Poor - Very little. The house was a huge disappointment..Cold, sparsely furnishef with even less furniture than shown and a very inconvenient location in a poor neighbourhood with few services. House was freezing, as in 0-5 degrees celcius when we arrived, heating instructions were incomplete and even when we finally received correct instructions ACU took 3-4 hours to stop blowing cold air.
Bin storage was full of rubbish, bins had not been taken out for collection that day.
Cupboards were full of spare beds and cleaning products leaving almost no space for guests.
Beds were cheap thin foam Toppers not Futon or Matress meaning you needed 2-3 to sleep on.
Kitchen only had two sockets so you had to plug and unplug appliances including the fridge to boil a kettle or use hot plate.
Neighbours were very, very unhappy about how badly the property was being managed, clearly this tiny house suitable for 2-4 people max was being rented to noisy groups of 6-8 people making enemies of the neighbours who glared at you from doors and windows as you came and left.
Furnishings in photos such as lamps and cushions had been removed. Existing plastic furniture was scratched and worn.
We travelled all the way from Ireland for this trip to Osaka which was spoilt by our stay in this badly managed house.
- Douglas (10/5): Exceptional - The decor was very modern, yet with the Tatami flooring, it still gave a traditional feel to the space. Liked that it had plenty of room for 6 people comfortably.
Instructions were clear, and we were able to navigate to the place from the train station very easily. Wish there were more futons, but everything else was amazing!!
- Hui (10/5): Exceptional - The home is very big. The living room, bathroom and dining room are on the same floor. The rooms are on the same floor. It’s great. We like it very much.
- Gerald (9/5): Superb -
- Thai (8/5): Very good - There is no any parking slot nearby
- Ramita (10/5): Love the place, would visit again. Not recommended for groups with small children (wall too thin) and elders (quite a wa - Everything about the place is awesome for us. We went in a group of 5 adults (family) Very comfy at a great price. We got the whole house for ourselves! The wall is thin maybe sound insulation should help. Not able to use full voice. Only one bathroom/shower might be time summing for a large group.
- Christian (6/5): Pleasant - Very traditional house.
The kids loved the experience.
Great shower and bathroom
Quiet Not very clean
Only 2 chairs...
Old TV without access to Netflix. Please invest in smart TV.
The futons were stained
- Castillo (7/5): Good - Only one toilet
- Judee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Muhamad (10/5): Exceptional - Everything about this house is nice. All facilities are available and the owner even made a guide on how to use them
- Felipe (9/5): comfortable stay. - I like the traditional Japanese house. I think he needed more chair in the kitchen.
- Carolyn (9/5): Very good accommodation -
- Jade (8/5): Very good -
- Jillan (10/5): Exceptional - Complete appliances and cleaning materials None
- Supaporn (10/5): Exceptional - Like everything, the accommodation is not far from the subway station, convenient to travel.
- Jen (10/5): cozy - we had the whole house by ourselves, it was large enough and cozy
complete amenities, detailed self-check in process and good staff it takes 10mins of walk from nearest station to the property
- Burhanuddien (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tamara (8/5): Good value for money we paid. -
- Matsuzaki (10/5): Exceptional - It was nice and clean
