- Grant (10/5): -
- Ilka (2/5): Nie wieder!!!
- Luke (10/5): Great views! - The views were great and myself and my partner had a great stay there!
- Yassine Ramzi (9/5): -
- dictus (5/5): Mooi locatie, heel slechte prijs/kwaliteit verhouding.

- robin (8/5): Really cool apartment would recommended staying.this would be good for 2 people as it’s one of the bigger bridge houses - Close to central station
Views of the water and Amsterdam north
Very unique
Easy check in
Comfy bed
Cool spiral staircase It was a bit cold at night even with heating on
Wasn’t that cosy would be nice to have some rugs on the floor like the other bridge house I stayed in
I liked the staircase but at night if u need toilet it’s quite inconvenient to go down to basement
- Lauren (10/5): - Great location, really quirky place with almost 360 views across Amsterdam. Bed was really comfy, shower was hot and powerful and the whole place was just so cute and fun!
- sofia (10/5): - posizione e vista
- Lisa (10/5): Fun experience in an amazing location - Fantastic location You can expect some unavoidable street noise
- R'n'J (10/5): - Absolutely loved the view! We sat and watched all sorts of boats coming and going in the canal - it was wonderful!
- Daan (7/5): Unique spot central in Amsterdam - Its a unique location, looks small from the outside but sufficient spacious inside, nobody notices you when you are looking at the world from here The entrance app did not work directly and it took us some time to get in
- Lambert (1/5): A nightmare. I think this company is a scam. - Nothing Everything. The app wouldn't allow me access to the property and their customer support stopped answering my questions meaning I had to book another hotel room
- Christa (7/5): Good - Quirky! Very cool to stay in an old canal house, and so convenient and close to Centraal station. Given the type of property: Obviously not accessible— but some of
- Beth (9/5): Great experience - Easy to find, great views, clean and comfy. Couldn't fault the place. I had some issues with my door key on arrival which was quickly fixed for me, It was a brilliant experience
- Kelvin (10/5): Practically perfect in every way. - Everything. Hosts were wonderfully responsive. The original bridge house I booked became unavailable due to road construction. They reached out ahead of time and told me what ones they had left to move my booking. I was a pain in the ass going back and forth between several of the rooms that were available. Ended up at bridge house 201. It was perfect to rent bikes and bike to any place in town. Absolutely loved Amsterdam, and I loved SWEETS. They bent over backwards to make me happy after my original booking became unavailable. Absolutely nothing negative to say.
- Jack (7/5): Beautiful property, great location, shame about the noise. - Beautiful property, great location and nice design. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re a light sleeper. Whilst there isn’t much pedestrian noise in this location, it is next to a busy road and you hear the sound of mild thunder every time a vehicle crosses the bridge. Earplugs provided at the property are beneficial but unfortunately insufficient.
Steps down to the bathroom weren’t an issue for us but could be for some. Also whilst the heater is powerful, in winter there is quite a draft of cold air with all of the glass.
Shower also didn’t drain well.
- Tara (10/5): Will 100% book here again - Very cute and quirky, excellent location Nothing
- Elizabeth (5/5): It was disappointing - Didn't get breakfast The accommodation is badly advertised. It's misleading
- Tanya (10/5): Exceptional - The property is wonderful...unique...has the BEST view of the water. Hosts provide everything you might need. It was a great lodging. Caution - it is a fit person's stay (two flights down a tight spiral staircase to get to the water closet). It's also a bit outside the city center - but the view makes up for it.
- Ioana (8/5): A nice experience which made my stay special. - The location is very good and the way the tiny place is used, makes it cute and cozy. It is more a nest, than an apartment. It can be romantic if you are with your "half". The sunrise view was amazing! Although very small, doesn't get really warm. No fit for persons with locomotion issues , nor with need to go often to bathroom. A bit of maintenance would fix all the jalousies.
- Donna (4/5): We didn’t stay at the place. It was totally unsuitable for us - Didn’t like it at all
- Robin (10/5): It was one of the coolest places I have ever been to. In a sluice house you catch the real Amsterdam vibe! - The sluice house is the perfect combination of industrial - control bridge- and cosiness -rosa curtains. The view is incredible. The yellow, shiny Adam tower. The busy Ferries. The big Cruise ships. There is always something to watch at the water channel. Especially when the golden hour of sunrise or sunset is coming up. Next time we will definitely stay in a sluice house again.
By the way the bed and the pillows are super comfortable! Only some clothes hooks, hooks in the kitchen and a small microwave would be nice to have in future.
- Samuel (7/5): Ooky spooky ding dang ooky - FUN - Very unique, an experience I shan’t forget - good location and beautiful views of the water. It was quite cold, and a little noisy but all very much bareable
- Valeria (8/5): Special place to stay in Amsterdam - Though an unusual place to stay, the building has a unique charm and was likely a former communication facility. The room itself was very comfortable, and the location was superb! Check-in was seamless, and the hosts were extremely responsive. The only downside is that the bedroom is on the first floor (second floor in the US), while the bathroom is located in the basement, which made late-night trips a bit inconvenient. Overall, everything else was great, and I would recommend it!
- Michelle (6/5): It was a unique experience but I think I would rather stay in a hotel next time. - The proximity to the central station and with in walking distance to lots of restaurants. The outside looked very grubby.
The blinds inside were very old and some were broken.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Unique Accomodation - I’ve never stayed at a place like this before!
- Alice (6/5): Quirky place in good location. - This was a quirky stay, with very good location. We stayed there for three nights, the location is perhaps a 10 minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station and the centre of Amsterdam. However we did have a few issues with the place. First of all, it wasn’t very private, the only way to have privacy is to close all of the blinds, which works, however isn’t pleasant 24/7. Another issue we faced was an extreme amount of condensation and water each morning on all surfaces (pictures attached) which obviously isn’t the nicest. Also, the bathroom was down two flights of spiral stairs and it did not have a sink in it to wash hands after using the toilet. In addition, the first person to have a shower in the morning was faced with a sewage smell and with the bathroom being below ground there is no window to get rid of the smell. Despite this, the checking in and out was really simple and again a good location, just not quite what was expected.
- Matthew (8/5): A unique experience which we really enjoyed. - Loved looking directly over the main waterway of Amsterdam watching the variety of boats going by. I did not mind but some people may mind the noise of cars going over the bridge.
- Jason (8/5): - This is a very unique stay with a nice history. It almost feels like you are a lighthouse keeper. It is a former bridge operator tower. The bathroom and shower are at the bottom of the structure, so just know you will walk up and down steps so be in average or above average shape. The privacy is there, but you have to draw large pink curtains. Overall it was clean, but not the cleanest. It was very safe and the location is perfect for walking to Centraal Station or the city center in 10mins. Great access to a lot of dining options and close to free ferry's that take you to Noord where you can enjoy NDSM, Film Museum and A Dam Tower. Room is limited, ideal for a couple. It is a unique and therefor memorable stay. Its not for everybody, but I liked that it was different. Nothing else like it!
- Petra (7/5): I liked the very unusual type of accommodation, unfortunately there was too much noise - the view of the river and the boats was beautiful, the room was clean unfortunately there was a smell of some acetone paint everywhere, which could not be ventilated, and the traffic from the street was very noisy, especially some kind of connection between the road and the bridge caused regular vibrations when each car crossed...
- Lionel (10/5): Sensational and one off accommodation in central location - Excellent and sensational experience. I personally slept very well and traffic was no problem. When I arrived the room had been cooled down to a comfortable temperature (a lot of glas with sunny warm weather would make it a hot house otherwise). I brought along earplugs and these were also provided BUT I did not need them - I slept worse at another hotel the other week simply because of the corridor noises... Definitely recommend this place without any reservation - it's a lovely atmosphere and experience. I loved the attention to detail and appreciated the hand written welcoming note. Thank you! I was not able to connect to the wifi - maybe I copied the code wrong (3x). I didn't pursue it further as I had sufficient data. The bathroom could do with a washbasin or at least some disinfected so that you don't need to use the shower or walk up with your unwashed hands ;)
- Louise (8/5): Unique quaint room with a fabulous view. - Location , uniqueness Blinds needed to be repaired. Shower did not drain well
- Ivana (9/5): Superb -
- María (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was great! Incredible view and perfect location! There was no hairdryer.
- Rem (10/5): It’s was a lovely clean place. Easy to get the key in the app. - It’s a little walk away from the museums so not in a chaos but 2 minutes from the station.
- Kamilla (8/5): Interesting experience - Great location, interesting place to sleep Colder than expected, but there was a heater and air conditioning
- Jamie-lee (8/5): Clean and unique stay - Lovely and unique experience. Comfortable bed, very spacious. Clean, good location. Unfortunately due to the rain we had leaking rainwater in the room.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Lovely little find - Very self contained, everything you needed, very clean, 2 minutes walk from Central Station, bery cosy, amazing views Nothing
- Barbara (8/5): Very good -
- Paula (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (10/5): Quirky place to stay with great views - Enjoyed staying here - unique views of the river and city. Comfortable place, well designed and well cared-for. Nice welcome note and everything was very clean. Lots of useful information provided. Manager very responsive on email when I had a question.
- Nick (9/5): Superb -
- Khaled (8/5): Very good - Location was absolutely perfect.
- Khloie (8/5): Very good -
- Cooper (9/5): Superb -
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chybee (10/5): one of the most unique hotel that i've ever stayed - Perfect, perfect, perfect! This hotel is incredibly easy and convenient to check in. The location is fantastic, with a stunning 720-degree river view of the Adam Tower. It's just a 6-minute walk to the central station. The design of the bridge house is truly amazing and unique. I love that they have curtains around the windows, so the daylight doesn't directly enter the room. The e-pad and books in the room provide a fascinating introduction to the history of this bridge house. My stay at this hotel was absolutely amazing! everything's perfect
- Jacki (7/5): Quirky , great views, but disappointing. - the location near central station and overlooking a combination of major and lesser canal routes was awesome. It was a quirky interesting piece of accommodation the internet access and response to rectify the problem was poor. On access to the property a card had been left with the wrong network name. The password was handwritten and misleading. The boom box did not work at all. The apartment I pad which was meant to have information on did not work until the following morning when it was too late. A friendly person on the end of the phone tried to help but no one was available to come out after 5pm to rectify the problems. A real disappointment for an expensive space. plus the toilet is down 2 flights of spiral staircases....a bit deadly at night! The so called kitchenette is tiny and had no mugs, just 2 bowls.
- Kim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Günce (8/5): Very good - The view is amazing. Everything is well explained in details. People should be aware of the strange things of this property. Not a big one but stairs might be a problem in the property. If you are waking up for bathroom, you will not like here.
- Jegor (9/5): Superb -
- Pavel (8/5): Excellent location, comfortable enough apartments. Great choice for the money. - Location is great. It's pretty good apartments and have all you need. As others said you should be ready to go down two floors for the restroom, and what's more important to go up. :) It's not crowded with tourists, but still five minutes walk from the Central Station. Sometimes I couldn't lock the safe from the first try, it seems that lock bolts push the wall of the safe and got error.
- Jeriel (9/5): Superb -
- David (8/5): Quirky - but not for the faint-hearted. - The location is excellent being in easy walking distance of the Amsterdam Central Station and nearby restaurants. The creative use of the former dock keepers' rooms is a terrific idea. The internal re-design is innovative and the the views are phenomenal. The facility was only available quite late in the afternoon and arranging access possible only with a smart phone. The facility seemed a little tired. The steps (many and spiral) were perhaps not as clean as they could have been, though otherwise cleanliness was good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Super locatie aan het IJ.
Brughuisje is erg leuk.
