No wifi, no pan and pots although we repetitively asked, we were four and there were cutlery, plates and glasses for two, the staff was very slow and always responsive.

- Laura (9/5): - The apartment was a lovely size, as described with good living/kitchen area. Bed was comfortable. The staff were brilliant, really helpful in booking taxis at any time, nothing was ever any trouble. Every single staff member at reception greeted you with a smile and said hello when you entered and left the building. The cleaning staff were exceptional and you can tell they take pride in their work even with working such long hours. We asked for our room to be cleaned when we left one morning and it was spotless on our return, the staff went above and beyond compared to other places I have stayed. The shower had very low water pressure and the temperature varied throughout use. Not a complaint as I understand this is common in the area, just something to be aware of.

Olumsuz yan olarak mutfak dolabında çatal bıçak ve bardak dışında hiçbir şeyin olmaması - tabak bile yoktu- ve otelin havuzu kuzey cepheye bakıyor sanırım, öğleden sonra güneş vurmadığı için soğuk oluyordu havuz kısmı. Onun dışında çalışanlar güzler yüzlü ve yardımsever.

- Marciniak (9/5): Miejsce spełniało nasze wymagania. - Basen głęboki, odpowiedni do pływania. Woda ma dobrą temperaturę dla regeneracji organizmu w ciepłym klimacie. Bardzo miła obsługa. Zawsze jak prosiliśmy o sprzątanie wszystko było zrobione dobrze. Sergen z recepcji skradł nasze serca. Mówił po rosyjsku i był zawsze pomocny. Lokal położony z dala od głównych atrakcji turystycznych, ale właśnie tego szukaliśmy. Taksówką można wszędzie dojechać. Korzystaliśmy też z metra, do którego trzeba trochę dojść. Dojeżdża do Bosforu a z tamtąd promem na europejską stronę. To świetna przygoda i pewnie codzienność lokalnej ludności. W okolicy dużo restauracji i kawiarni. Co prawda kelnerzy raczej nie mówią po angielsku, ale nie chodziliśmy głodni🙂. Nic, co mogłoby wpłynąć negatywnie na mój pobyt.

Bathroom’s door handle was out of order and my husband stay locked inside… but the stuff were super helpful, i liked that a lot
- Reem (4/5): Pay a bit more and choose a better quality place - The pictures looked much better than reality. The description is also not 100% accurate. One of the critical criterion for me was a fridge. The description said 'fridge' so basically I understood a full-sized on, turns out it was a slightly larger minibar. Some food went to waste because of that. I had to ask for the basic things like pots, pans, kettle and mugs, even though they were supposed to be there. Significant language barriers, only 1-2 could speak English and if they weren't there, anything requested, wasn't done. I waited for a day for the cleaning crew to come.

My only complaint would be that the receptionist, Mr Ismail demanded 1000tl for my friend to visit my apartment. Despite telling him she will be staying for 10 minutes maximum he classed us like escorts (two females) and demanded we paid him 1000tl. We refused and told him we will complain officially, he then gave up. His colleague was very helpful and we could see they were all uncomfortable with his demand. I will definitely be staying at their apartment again, just not in this location but in their other hotel in Sisli.

- Tatiana (7/5): staff, language, food, amnesties, facilities - max 7 - We got a free upgrade to a nice, large and spacious room. The furniture was modern and the bed and sofa were comfortable. The rooms were tidy and the cleanliness was proper. The view was great from the room. Even though the staff was friendly the language barrier was difficult and they were just saying yes but you weren't getting the desired result (it took 3 days to get an iron in the room), the breakfast was not a buffet type but rather imposed only one way, weekend staff was less friendly.

- Khalid (1/5): Bad - Nothing, we left after the first night. The suite has only 1 AC in the living room which makes the bedroom very uncomfortable. Booking states that the suite area is 697 square foot and that's false. Area is far less than that. Booking also states that parking space is available which is wrong as they only use valet parking which entails extra charge. The suite has several issues.. lock, peephole is broken, shower is very slippery, glass aluminum door in the room does not lock properly which brings all noise and smells from outside. Also, the narrow hallway lights are not working. Obviously Booking didn't do their job of ensuring all information is correct and at the end customers suffer.

- Clare (8/5): A smart, spacious apartment, especially good for longer stays in Istanbul. - This was an excellent apartment which my adult daughter and I stayed in for two weeks. I never understand why people book just a hotel room, especially for longer stays, when they can have all the space and convenience of an apartment for the same money! Especially as we stayed here following a medical procedure, the apartment offered us all the space and amenities that we could have wanted. The apartment was smart and clean, with a modern and fairly spacious bathroom. It offered us plenty of living space, with effectively two sleeping areas, as the sofa bed was very comfortable and more than large enough for my daughter. Despite some previous negative reviews about the breakfast, we were really impressed by the range and quantity of food that was delivered to our room each day, at any time requested. The elements of the breakfast were almost the same each day, but the variety was such that you could have different options from it as you wanted. The only thing I would have liked would have been some fruit and/or yoghurt as part of the breakfast, but other than that, it was very good and fresh. There is also a swimming pool at the apartments, which looked pleasant, but we didn't use this as we were there in winter. The staff at The Place Suites were all polite and helpful, with the reception staff speaking very good English, and always prepared to help us order taxis etc, although I highly recommend downloading the BiTaksi app whilst in Istanbul. I would add that we had a 50% discount when booking our stay, and this is what made the apartment particularly good value for money. The cleaning hours were a bit random, which meant that we often asked them not to come because they often turned up when we were still in the apartment. We also lost wifi for just over a day, but I believe this was out of the control of the property. The location isn't particularly central, but there were good little supermarkets just a few minutes walk away, and it is easy and cheap to get taxis anywhere. A couple of very large and very good shopping malls are less than a 10 minute taxi drive away, and for what you get for your money with the apartment, it was well worth being slightly less central. We found the building controlled heating to be a bit excessive (which seems very common in Istanbul!), but we countered this by opening the windows or using the A/C when required.

- Waseem (1/5): Worst hotel every stayed in. - Nothing Rooms weren't cleaned every day, towels were smelly and very worn, place was tired and suite was cramped although it was meant to be a deluxe suite. Underfloor heating was constantly on and rooms were too hot hence we had to leave patio doors open at night, breakfast was ridiculous, staff weren't bothered when we complained about the rooms not being cleaned. We asked for fresh towels and were refused until I went down myself to reception and they gave us some. Overall a shabby place with poor service and no restaurant! Breakfast served is of their choice and its useless. Avoid it if you can.

- Ahmed (2/5): - - Worst 4 stars Hotel over the last 15 years. - When I arrived in the midnight I found the hotel gate closed. I knocked the door a few times then I saw someone coming from the right side who opened the door for me. Actually that guy was the receptionist who was sleeping which is very strange to see a receptionist who closes the hotel completely to take a nap! - The safe-box was not working and I asked to either fix it or change my room but as expected the easiest thing is to tell you that the hotel is full and the guy will come tomorrow to fix it. BTW till I left it was not fixed. - No “Don’t disturb” sign available at the hotel. As a result, I had to take all my valuables with me everyday which is very risky. - The Wifi was not working due to technical issue which lasted the whole stay period which led to using the data roaming and spending a lot of money - No air conditioning in the bedroom - Still using normal metal keys for rooms - No hot water in the bath tub - Noise coming from the bathroom and the rooms near you - No bed cover and I had to ask the room service to bring one which ended up with giving me a sheet to use it as a bed cover! - The guys do not put the complementary water, shampoo, etc.. when they make the room. - No hangers for clothes and no iron/ironing board - Not all lights working. Bed pillows are high and not comfy Based on the aforementioned, I don’t recommend to stay at this incredible hotel at all.
