The bed is wonderful, and everything feels carefully curated rather than simply arranged. What truly makes the stay special is the warmth of the team. Adeelia and Aira once again went out of their way to make us feel welcome, always attentive and gracious, even surprising us with complimentary treats. Some places are lovely to visit once. Shila is the kind of place that quietly invites you back to Athens again. one of the bathrooms had a white light, which slightly breaks the warmth of the place at night

I was deeply impressed by how the property preserves its original architecture while seamlessly integrating modern functionality into the rooms. The authentic furniture and creative architectural details, especially in the bathrooms, add a unique and charming character to the space. The high-tech lighting and sound systems were incredibly user-friendly and enhanced the comfort of our stay. However, what truly elevated our experience was the exceptional staff. They were genuinely warm, incredibly skillful, and had an amazing ability to anticipate our needs with proactive solutions. There was absolutely nothing to dislike. - Konstantinos (10/5): Stylish and delightful - Lovely friendly staff. Beautiful design and cosy intimate atmosphere. We had a garden suite and it was lovely to be able to sit outside in private The bed being so high up was a bit strange and difficult to climb back into if you get up in the night.

Or meals were filling and delicious. The team was excellent and on top of arranging transportation to the port and airport. We make it a point to stay in art hotels and Shila was top tier.

- melissa (10/5): a luxury home from home experience - The breakfast was a lovely spread, I think the egg option was better than the yoghurt, you could dine on the roof top which was very pleasant. The location of the hotel is an upscale area with lots of restaurants within easy reach and also easy access for sight seeing..we walked everywhere ,but we did use the metro for the airport which was super easy some of the facilities ( the shower) are a little 'form over function" ..but overall we loved the stying
- sophie (3/5): plus jamais , scandaleux au niveau rapport qualité , Servie et prix! - le petit déjeuner est un vrai stress on doit le commander 24h à l'avance car il n'y a pas de bar , de restaurant ni de service pour une chambre à ce prix , c'est tout simplement scandaleux! le look destroy avec les trous dans les plafonds pour donner un genre, c'est franchement limite au niiveau fracheur et propreté, tout est vieux comme les tapis, tout fais sale sauf le lit qui est magnifique!

- Alex (10/5): Go here for aesthetics and good service - Shila is the most aesthetically pleasing hotel I have been in. Textures, colors, smells work exceptionally well. I would label it as alternative luxury - quiet, understated, whispers instead of shouting. I felt really at ease and at home there. The hotel only has 6 rooms, so it’s really quiet. The service was impeccable. They arranged lunches and dinners in great places, laundry service was super quick. I would really recommend this hotel for a couple for a romantic escape. Special thanks to Era and Nickoleta for looking after me on this stay. I will be returning to Shila sooner rather than later.

The breakfast was excellent with eggs, croissants, fruit, honey, juice! Perfectly located: Syntagma, Ermou, Voukourestiou, Mt Lycabettus all within minutes walking distance. We went to NYX Japanese, 1 min walk away, with amazing Acropolis view! The rooftop garden was lovely and I personally loved the classic verandas looking over the quiet street below.

- Evangelia (10/5): Looking forward to my next visit at Shila - Located in one of the loveliest neighborhoods of Athens and walking distance to anything you desire. I selected the garden room which was immaculate, tastefully decorated and unique with a beautiful large outdoor space. Comfortable bed. Delicious and healthy breakfast. I also loved the shower and all of the nice smelling soaps. Perhaps best of all though, was the warm welcome from the lovely staff. They went out of their way to make sure my needs were met. I loved everything

- Ali (10/5): Magical Retro Vibes - Retro vibes, with an artistic touch. Velvet textures, warm lights. Staying in a place like this almost feels like you are living in a poem. Comfortable beds and bathrooms. Very clean rooms. Amazing service, Adeelia and Aira, made sure we have everything we need, and were kind enough to offer us complimentary goods. Staying here, made Athens extra magical. Nothing, I would come back again.

- Cartwright (10/5): The most beautiful room and space. Loved everything about it - we stayed for our honeymoon! - I'm not sure I can find anything I didn't like about our stay at Shila. It is just beyond beautiful, and there are so many lovely items from local artisans and also lots of information on the artwork dotted around. Absolutely gorgeous aesthetic. I also loved all of the handmade shampoo, conditioner, and body wash and wished I had bought some! The staff were very professional, warm, and helpful and went above and beyond for our stay. We would definitely return and this time try to find the hidden rooftop! Nothing!

- Sierra (10/5): A soft, romantic, unique stay that felt like a private oasis in a bustling city. - The furnishings and curated artwork make it feel as though you’re spending the night at someone’s uniquely fabulous home, rather than at a hotel. There was so much personality while still remaining soft and romantic. We loved our room’s attached courtyard filled with plants and comfortable seating, and we chose to have the included breakfast there rather than the rooftop. Reception was friendly, the digital guestbook was perhaps the best I’ve ever seen (it includes everything from how to operate the coffee machine to their art catalog and even menus where the staff will order in food for you). Despite being in a vibrant part of the city, it was very quiet and felt tranquil. Nothing to dislike. Wish we had stayed longer!

- Ilia (9/5): Very chill, beautiful boutique hotel- I would highly recommend (to my classy friends 😜) - We stayed in Shila 5 which had beautiful rooms and quirky touches. Loved the small balcony onto the pedestrian street. Great to have two bathrooms as we were there with our children. The roof garden is a gorgeous place to have breakfast or a drink. Location is perfect, close to but not too central. Staff were super helpful, attentive and friendly. The front bedroom (which can also just be a living room if only 2 guests) overlooked a pedestrian street which had a busy bar on Saturday night - thankfully ear plugs are provided.

- Shasta (10/5): Exceptional - The design at Shila is immaculate! We had our own private garden which served as a serene oasis after 24 hours travelling. The little touches of music, breakfast, and curated mini bar were the icing on an already delicious cake!

- Mary (10/5): Exquisite hotel with stylish design which brings warmth to your heart! - One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve stayed in. It was so clean and comfortable, it felt like home. The hotel design was romantic, unique, warm and very stylish! Located in one of the best inner city suburbs, only 20 min walk into the touristy part of Athens and the Acropolis. Our suite had a courtyard with beautiful gardens, which we sat in every morning eating breakfast and every night sipping on wine. This hotel was value for money. The staff treated us with warmth and generosity. We received a delicious fruit platter and Greek wine as a welcome. What a delight! Thank you to the staff for everything you did for us during our stay, especially Dora. She went out of her way to make us happy. Highly recommend this hotel if you want something different and a more personal and genuine service. Nothing!

Entras y te encuentras una casa estudiadamente desvencijada (pintura desconchada, apariencia buscada de abandono), pero con mucho encanto. Nuestra habitación tenía acceso a un patio muy bonito donde desayunamos correctamente. Es como entrar a vivir en un decorado. Personal muy atento. La ubicación no es en zona histórica, pero en 20 minutos se llega a ella. Abstenerse los fanáticos de los hoteles modernos.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, location is nice but a little far from the center (however it is within walking distance). Could use a little more closet space 😊 The shower is special and well designed but not powerful enough for washing the hair.

Beautiful suites and really helpful and professional team Breakfast menu over three nights very limited . Would have liked cheese and perhaps fruit salad options . i pad communication from breakfast service fiddly and never worked when we tried it . There should be a member of staff stationed on roof terrace during breakfast service ideally.

Breakfast was wonderful! Also loved the moody music. Would only suggest better lighting and storage place for toiletries in the bathroom.
