• Susanne (10/5): The friendliest hotel in Cairo - The hotel is situated in the center of Cairo, at a square with interesting architecture, only a few minutes from River Nile. The rooms a clean and comfortable and the coffee in the morning, which is served in a nice room , is very good. There are rooms with balcony to the square, where you can participate on the city life and more quiet rooms to the back. Just ask the staff. Rarely, I experienced such a friendly service as in Hotel Tulip. The hotel can be warmly recommend for a stay in Cairo. There is nothing to complain about.

• Benjamin (7/5): Excellente localisation dans le vieux Caire authentique. Petit hôtel ancien avec son charme. - Excellente localisation sur la place Talaat Harbà 5 minutes à pieds du square El-Tahrir. Si vous cherchez à être dans le vieux Caire authentique l'emplacement est idéal. Ce petit hôtel est un peu vieux mais cela fait son charme. Le confort est sommaire mais quand on voyage simplement cela suffit. Le personnel est sympathique et à l'écoute. Bon petit déjeuner. Je recommande la chambre avec vue sur la place. Quelques petites remarques: il faudrait un vrai pare-douche pour pouvoir se doucher confortablement. La propreté était un peu limite: état du sol, cheveux, poussière. Même si c'est un vieil hôtel avec charme quelques travaux d'amélioration du confort seraient bienvenus. L'inconvénient de la très bonne situation de l'hôtel c'est forcément le bruit. L'isolation sonore pourrait être revue. Mais avec de bons bouchons d'oreille cela passe.

Llegamos a las 4 de la madrugada y necesitabamos cambiar dinero, y nos lo ofrecieron ellos sin aplicarnos ningun tipo de comisión. El desayuno estaba muy bueno y la situación era muy centrica. La plaza era un poco ruidosa y se escuchaba el trafico desde la habitación, pero creo que eso es un problema de egipto en general xDDD al final, con unos tapones y lo cansado que sueles irte a dormir, se duerme bien. No es una super habitación, pero estuvimos muy bien.

Ci ha accolto un ragazzo che era al telefono e sembrava infastidito dal nostro arrivo.La pulizia lascia molto a desiderare;la mobilia è vecchia e l'edificio fatiscente.Non ci hanno dato nemmeno la carta igienica, nonostante la donna delle pulizie si fosse accorta che era finita!!Il rumore del traffico a tutte le ore di giorno e di notte è molto forte.

Ai nevoie te ajuta, nu ai nevoie, te lasa in pace. Am constatat ca in Egipt este sport national sa-ti vanda cineva ceva. Este curat,decent, cladire foarte veche si neintretinuta, dar asa sunt toate in aceasta zona, mic dejun minimalist, nici nu mori, nici nu traiesti. Pentru calatorii cu buget redus este perfect, daca voi merge din nou la Cairo voi rezerva tot la acest hotel Sincer as fi dat 9 dar : - nu am avut nici macar un pahar in camera dar-mi-te uscator, frigider, etc, ce mai este bifat pe Booking. Dar asa fac toate hotelurile din Cairo, bifeaza tot, inclusiv seif, halat si papuci! - apa la dus trebuie lasata sa curga minute in sir pana vine calda. Mare risipa de apa - nu exista perdea la dus - gunoiul nu a fost ridicat timp de 4 zile. La plecare am aflat ca trebuie sa ceara clientul la receptie sa se faca curatenie. Am calatorit mult prin Europa, dar asta nu am mai auzit-o Daca puteti sa treceti peste aceste lucruri este un hotel in care merita sa stai, mai ales raportat la pret -

• Shannon (10/5): Location is perfect and cost effective - Room with a view and the cost The pillows were very old and solid. The single bed in the room had broken slats. Air con barely worked but there was a ceiling fan which was a life saver.

• Emma (7/5): Night and day - Amazing value for money when it comes to simply having a base camp for a couple of days in Cairo. The breakfast was simple but the coffee and tea was piping hot. The day manager was very helpful and accommodating, and we really liked the lobby area which includes a balcony over the square. We arrived very late (after 11pm) and the night manager informed us that the room type we had booked (triple) was unavailable. It took a good amount of convincing to obtain three beds overall. I would also recommend keeping a close eye on your passport upon arrival (he was keen to photograph, rather than photocopy). The hotel has no card machine.

• Paulo (9/5): Superbly located and a very kind management - The location is perfect, and one can chill out at the balcony next to the reception overlooking the busy, sometimes mad, beautiful Talaat Harb square (photo attached). The staff were very kind and even indulged my desire to have an Egyptian breakfast, it made me feel special indeed. The bad impression one gets when entering the building, as if one is entering a decrepit construction. The Wi-Fi reception in my room was weak.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - The property is located right in the centre of Cairo - a few minutes walk from the Egyptian Museum - very convenient. I had a room with a balcony (and apparently was the first Expedia visitor) that overlooked a roundabout-square with 5 exists - watching it was fun, and having earplugs was good for sleeping quietly. The property could have been much better presented considering its great location and good condition but unfortunately for unknown reasons the owners decided to cut some corners. I could not get hot water out of the shower although it was fine in the sink. Absent shower curtain also was a mystery as water scatters all over the bathroom... Fortunately with around 20C I did not need much of showering. And having a half of a sheet as a blanket undercover on the bed was puzzling. Not for picky people, but nice location and a chance to visit the Moses perfume shop around the corner.
