Guest Reviews
- Camilla Westlin (10/5): - Good location, good facilities, clean.
Loved the pool, it was nice to cool down in, in the heat.
The host was always avaliable an acomodating.
- Janice (10/5): Perfect spot to relax and enjoy your holiday. - Perfect location so close to restaurants and bars. So comfortable and clean amazing views. The owner was so kind and welcoming.
- Coki (10/5): -
- Guest (8/5): - Henkilökunta ystävällinen ja avulias. Allas kiva ja sijainti loistava. Suihku oli epäsiisti, ja parveke aika likainen. Vedenkeitin vanha ja likainen. Peittoja ei ollut, vain lakana.
- Delgado (9/5): - Localizaçao e pisicina e vista
- Nell (8/5): -

- W8761IJcarols (10/5): Beautiful accommodation set in a peaceful area of Lapad - Absolutely beautiful accommodation set in a peaceful area of Lapad. We were greeted with a welcome drink, and as we had arrived before check-in time, we were given a place to sit and admire the views and an option to sit around the pool. Our accommodation was absolutely pristine and had a modern feel. Our room was regularly cleaned, and fresh towels were provided. Beautiful views can be seen across Lapad from the accommodation and it is a short distance to bars, restaurants supermarkets and shops as well as the beach. There are a lot of steps to navigate to the main area of Lapad however, we managed to find easier ways to walk to and fro. Matija was an amazing host and looked after us exceptionally well.

- Aqdam (10/5): Best place I have ever been we will be back for sure -

- Ester (10/5): Perfect choice for Dubrovnik - View, pool, staff, room, cleaningness, parking spot, bus proximity (5min) and frequency to easily reach the old town entrance (10-15min) (line 6 of Dubrovnik buses with destination Pile) some stairs from the bus stop to the location (but is still feasible to climb them and it is not more than 3-5min, we are in our late 30s with no gym or excursion hobbies, and it was totally ok)

- 2811lauren (2/5): Rude host, ruined our stay - I don’t even know where to start with this review, just simply is a case of you get what you pay for. Dubrovnik is an expensive place and if you think you will save money staying here, just don’t. On the second day I was pricing other hotels to stay, but unfortunately all were too expensive.
This was honestly one of the worst stays I’ve ever experienced, mainly down to the rude owner/host of the so called 4 star ‘villa’.
I had booked this accommodation for 6 days for a holiday and my boyfriend’s birthday; and with the photos online, we expected good things.
To start, we arrived late and the key was left in the door of the room with instructions, that was fine but we had to go to the ‘reception’ in the morning to check in officially. All I can say about this place is, you are simply living in an old women’s home with her eyes on your every move.
The ‘reception’ is actually just her kitchen, where she appears to live above most of the rooms and has eyes on everything. I did not realise this was going to be the case where the owner was basically on top of you the entire time, if I knew this I would not have booked this as I felt like our every move was being watched.
The room was OK at best. Had a balcony with a nice view and the bed was comfortable. Aircon was good also, but that was about it. The room had a TINY bathroom with a shower door that was broken, and the room was only cleaned every few days, leaving us with the need for extra towels and toilet paper.
Due to the location of the room and the layout of the rooms, the walls also must be paper thin because you can hear EVERYTHING from the other rooms, this was extremely off putting.
The room was also extremely dirty when we first arrived, photos attached. Simply put, it was not a nice experience to walk into.
The overall location of the apartments is OK if you are happy walking up and down about 500 steps to get anywhere. We Ubered everywhere which got very expensive as there was no other option.
WiFi did not work ONCE the entire stay, we were forced to use mobile data which got very expensive. The TV also did not work, despite having Netflix etc on it, due to the terrible WiFi, it had no hope. The fridge also was leaking from the freezer into the general fridge area.
However, the WORST thing about our stay had to be the fact the host accused me of ‘putting makeup’ on the towels, coming up to me specifically while I was outside, pointing aggressively at me and blaming me for something I did not do. I explained this was not makeup as I was not wearing it during my stay, but gradual tan moisturiser which I have used in MANY other stays, including small airbnbs, and never been accused like this. The host then spoke in her own language to the cleaner and handed me cotton pads, passive aggressively. I was extremely embarrassed, angry and frustrated due to this accusation and I do not believe this is any way at all to treat your PAYING guests. It left me very shaken up and upset for my time staying after this.
I felt uncomfortable laying by the pool due to the fact the host appeared to have an issue with me, despite the fact we were quiet guests (unlike others).
I would never stay in a place like this again, solely down to the rude host.
Dubrovnik is a nice place of course, and most Croatian people are lovely and warm friendly people; but this woman put a bad mark on our experience here for sure.
- Lauren (1/5): Just avoid. - The pool area was the nicest part, balcony in room
And bed was comfy. I don’t even know where to start with this review, just simply is a case of you get what you pay for. - Laura (9/5): Superb - Excellent location, close to beach, shop and many restaurants/bars. Excellent facilities including pool, sea view from balcony and air conditioning. The room was clean, well presented and had everything we needed for a short stay. Particularly liked the little book library to borrow something to read while you stayed!
- Rhiannon (9/5): Perfect week in the Croatian sun - Gorgeous views from our balcony, room was very clean. Clean towels regularly. Host was very helpful. Nothing about the accommodation not to like, it is a gorgeous villa (except for the steps up from the beach, but we were fully aware of this)!
- Rory (9/5): Comfortable and friendly villa with lovely views - Lovely and helpful host
Short walk to beach and easy bus route into the old town
Lovely scenery
Clean and smart villa complex No real dislikes
Stairs from the beach are a killer though
- Sarah (9/5): We had a wonderful stay at villa boro, great views and location, lots to do nearby but also easy to get into old town. W - Modern, comfy, good aircon, nice views from balcony and liked that it had a pool That the mugs/cutlery weren’t changed throughout our stay, was quite high up a hill but we were aware of this.
- Niamh (10/5): Fab getaway - Fab view from private balcony. Lovely pool, private atmosphere
- Marcel (8/5): Great stay would definitely recommend - Great facilities and amazing view, pool area was quiet and uncrowded, ac worked , staff were friendly and room was cleaned every other day Only pointers: floor could’ve been hoovered better and if food is left in room it may attract ants. Location is very walkable to lapad strip and supermarket however a lot of stairs for the heat
- Emma (9/5): Superb -
- Jacqueline (10/5): This property did not disappoint it was even better then expected - Amazing location and the staff were outstanding. The pool area is perfect and the views are amazing. I would highly recommend this property and would definitely go back. 🥰 Nothing it perfect
- Jason (6/5): Pleasant -
- Montana (9/5): Superb -
- Mariana (8/5): Very good -
- John (7/5): Great location and views, but wish housekeeping had been of a higher quality. - View and location. Lack of cleaning in room. Towel not changed as often as promised. Floor not cleaned once in week. Bins not emptied often. Same bed linen all week.
- Fox (9/5): Superb -
- Louise (10/5): Excellent - would recommend! - It was in a beautiful location, the room and facilities were fantastic. The WiFi wasn’t great.
- Steve (9/5): Host was lovely. - Nice and clean. Lovely views. The steep hill each day from the beach
- 139mindaugasj (2/5): B aware tiny dirty place service is absolutely terrible TV don't work internet very slow .the owner needs kearn manners. Terr - Book this Room with bathroom in this Villa with bookings.com they Was saying it's apartments. Is not !!! Old Lady owner probably needs lear manners..Can't even say Good morning to her guests..Anyway we come to this tiny room 2m by 5 metres show only can move so tiny ...Place was dirty in 8 day floor was never cleaned . Property infestation with Ants .We will never use Bookings.com
We left item in a room by mistake we write to the owner to return item to us to United Kingdom ..but owner ignored us saying she don't find it item ...Worst ever holiday .
- Anthony (8/5): Very good -
- kayleigho439 (10/5): Great stay, fab views. - Fantastic stay, pool was fabulous, plenty space for everyone. Our room had table and chairs and an umbrella outside the door. The kitchen space was great, bedroom and bathroom had everything we needed. The owner offered us a welcome drink on arrival. We loved how active we were this holiday. Beach is close, lots of restaurants near by too. Everything we did was walkable. Public transport is easy to use and cheap.
- Lynn (10/5): Lovely clean apartment 👌 - Lovely clean apartment with good views over Lapad Bay. Very well equipped with the bonus of a swimming pool and ample sun terraces for all guests. The apartment was great. No complaints at all. There were a lot of stairs up from the town centre which may not suit everyone.
- Jo (8/5): Great stay overall but more living space in the apartment would have been nice - It was very clean and the cleaner was so helpful and accommodating. We had a shaded area outside our apartment with a swing chair and table and chairs that we could sit in as it was very hot at 35C. The air con was just in the bedroom but worked really well and there was a very good kitchen area for cooking and the shower and bathroom facilities were very good. The owner was very helpful and organised the taxi to the airport and an island trip also. We were also provided with a welcome drink when we arrived and a bottle of wine as a gift. The apartment was lovely but it did not have a living area, no couch to relax on and so the TV was in the bedroom and when it was very hot (it was 35 C most days on our holiday) and we hadnt ventured out because of this then the bedroom was the only place to relax and this is why we normally get an apartment rather than a hotel so we have the extra space to relax in the evening or to relax and read etc. The shaded area is lovely but some days it was just too hot to sit there. Villa Bora is located approx 100 steps from the Lapad main restaurant/bar strip, no problem going down but coming back up in the heat was hard work but we did find a longer alternative route which involved walking a slope back up and this was much easier. We acclimatised! But the bonus of being so high up were the fabulous views of Lapad Bay.
- Shaunaboyle93 (10/5): Exceptional - We had such a lovely time here. The location is great, host is very friendly and accommodating. Pool is very clean and deck is well maintained. Only downside is there are a lot of steps to get up and down to the main strip but it is worth it for the views and the peace and quiet.
- Joseph (7/5): A good value option for peak week in August! 7.5/10 - The pool area was great as was the location for Lapad and the old town. It was nicely situated between beaches, a short walk to the restaurants of lapad and far enough from the old town to avoid the constant hustle and bustle yet close enough to be in within 10/15 minutes.
The room itself was spacious and the air conditioning worked brilliantly. It was also nice to have a balcony. A few more minor things would’ve been really handy.. for example, we had a fridge and a kettle but no plates, bowls or cutlery. We then ended up buying bits so we could have the occasional breakfast on the balcony. The shower cubicle itself was small & the blankets were also a little itchy but nothing that would repel us.
- Kerianne (10/5): Fabulous Stay - Upon arrival, we were greeted by a lovely lady (not the owner), whom offered us a welcome drink while she was sorting out our paper work.
The owner later greeted us, whom was extremely accommodating. We were offered the opportunity to have our towels changed everyday, but we didn't want to be disturbed or our room entered while was not there. We were left alone to enjoy the vicinity for the duration of our stay.
I loved everything about this property. It was so peaceful. We had a room with a sea view and a balcony. It was lovely to wind down in the evening with a cold beverage while taking in the scene in front of me or, with a coffee early in the morning.
The pool was excellent, after a hot day in the sun - much needed!
The accommodation was situated in the right area for the nightlife, beach and pick-up points ( if you wanted to take a day tour). It was local to the bus stop too, if you wanted to catch the No.6 bus to the old town.
There is also a small convenience store, reasonably priced, which is five minutes away from the property.
The steps that lead to the heart of everything, certainly tested my fitness, as we had to use these every day to get to and from the property. You'll, know what I mean, if you stay here.
On the whole, a lovely experience had.
Many thanks,
K. Willis Na
- Joshua (10/5): Very comfortable stay. - It was very clean, tidy and had a lovely view of the beach in Lapad. It was in the perfect location for how we intended to spend our stay. A lot of steps to access the property from the strip but this doesn’t distract from the fact it is in a great location and I would recommend anyone to stay here.
- Kate (10/5): Good value and super peaceful - Peaceful, views, pool area. Nothing.
- Molly (8/5): Perfect for couples looking for a base outside the Old Town. Would stay again. - Hotel owner very friendly, drinks upon arrival and let us use facilities after check out on our leaving day. The hotel and rooms are very clean and it is situated in a peaceful area. Lovely views. Location is great near beach, shops, restaurants. Bus stop close by into Old Town. The shower was too small and the walls were too thin. Many nights and mornings we were woken by the room next door/party on the Saturday night at the beach. The property is high up so you have to walk up a LOT of steps to reach it. This is tiring in the summer sun.
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional - Good location . Easy to walk down into lapad . Clean and tidy , good amenities in the apartment . Nice little pool We couldn't get a lounger as people reserved them and weren't always present . There were only a few available
Not a problem for us but there are lots of steps to walk back up from the town to the apartment
- Laura (10/5): If you are less able bodied just be aware of the steps in the area as there are a lot - Owner was lovely and very accommodating as our flight was delayed but she stayed up to let us in Pool can only be used until 7pm
- Frankie (9/5): Very hot but amazing ! - We loved the pool as it was very hot nearly 35*C everyday ! The views from our balcony were very scenic. Our room was very well kept, with a cleaner regularly supplying us with clean towels. THE STEPS ! the location is a bit inconvenient as there are many steps to get down to the town and the beach. Otherwise the property was amazing and we could not fault it.
- Sjallen18 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (10/5): Brilliant location, great value for money! - This property had an outdoor pool with sun loungers and umbrellas which was great for those who want to sunbathe and relax by the pool. As well as that its really close to lots of great bars and restaurants.
- Eileen (10/5): Lovely clean bright rooms. Lovely owner and place. - Very clean, great pool are and beautiful view We liked everything about the property
- Anushka (9/5): Delightful stay! Would recommend - Great location, host was super friendly and helpful and greeted us with a tasty beer on arrival. Pool was really nice and always clean. We had some problems with the wifi
- Joan (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in a lovely area - Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Excellent air conditioning. Pool was a lovely extra to cool off in view of the heat. Good to have kettle, fridge and use of safe. Shower a little on the small side.
The number of steps to reach the property from all restaurants - however we did find a less steep way around the road with only small flight of steps to reach road on which accommodation situated.
- Alan (8/5): Very good - Great pool and glass of red wine on arrival. Lapad has several bars and restaurants that look out over the sea. Dubrovnik old town is like walking through a palace - stunning. Steep climb up the steps to the accommodation and taxis are expensive for short journeys.
- Chevs (8/5): Very pleasant stay - Clean,
Relaxing
Welcome was great
Stunning views Shower door was loose
Walls a little thin
- Emma (9/5): A lovely place to relax and visit the area - This is a pretty little villa, and in charming surroundings. The room was spacious and clean. The pool was fantastic and it had a nice boutique feel to the villa My shower cubicle was quite small and the doors needed to be aligned better.
- Carol (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lauren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Viktorija (10/5): Exceptional -
- Millicent (7/5): Great location, easy stay. - The villa was in a nice location, close to several restaurants, the beach and public transport. We had a lovely view. The pool was nice. The shower was very small and quite difficult to move around in. The airconditioner turns off and on to maintain a certain temperature, this made it quite stuffy at night in the periods when it was off. The bed and pillows were not very comfortable.
- Max (7/5): Good -
- Alyssia (6/5): Beautiful view and good size room, but unfortunately the lack of cleaning let it down for us. - The pool area was beautiful, outdoor shower and lovely sun beds with a gorgeous view Our room wasn’t cleaned for the whole of our 6
Night stay. The bin was emptied but we had to ask for new towels on day 4 and the surfaces weren’t cleaned/mugs replenished/floors cleaned for the whole of our stay. There is also a large number of steps to walk up from the promenade which for us was fine, but could be very hard for older or less mobile travellers.
- Noirin (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly and helpful host. Ideal location nice and quiet. Very clean. Will definitely be back again.
- Peter (10/5): Brilliant experience - Everything was super clean, the pool was great as was the outdoor seating - the host was amazing and incredibly helpful from start to finish.
- Paweł (9/5): Superb -
- Declan (9/5): Lapad bay apartment - If your room is lucky to have a sea view it is amazing .. very clean apartments and friendly helpful staff
- Danielle (9/5): Lovely relaxing accommodation - Brilliant accommodation, staff really helpful and we had a lovely balcony and view. Greta part of Lapad, stairs up from Lapad can be hard during the day but we knew this before we booked and it didn’t put us off! Fridge in our room was abit noisy but nothing major!
- Annabelle (9/5): Amazing stay, would recommend - Perfect location. Quiet and relaxing but right near the hustle and bustle of everything. Very helpful host. Beautiful view from the room. The only negative was the bed sheet was very thin and the blanket was quite itchy
- Peter (9/5): Superb - beautiful place, beautiful pool and great hosts expensive but that seems to be dubrovnik.
- Daniel (3/5): It was so so. Should improve and maybe improve Wi-Fi service and they don’t have breakfast! - Very good view for sunset beach The staff is not so good. There is no facilities. It’s not easy to delivery pizza or snacks. The Wi-Fi DONT work!
- Eugene (9/5): Superb - It was very modern & spacious & the view from our room was lovely. Excellent location with clean and refreshing pool. The white towels were a bit harsh for drying the body.
- Rasa (9/5): We had nice time :) Thank You - Nice swimming pool, near bus station. good location with Dubrovnik and beach.

- Natasha (8/5): Lovely Stay and great location - Great location for exploring Lapad, Old town Dubrovnik and close walking distance to beaches N/A
- Michelle (9/5): Superb -
- Geraldine (8/5): Beautiful well kept villa - Lovely quiet peaceful area with beautiful views of sea and mountain. Nice small pool with pool towels provided and nice sun loungers. We had room only but should have booked an apartment. Didn't like all the steps down to restaurants and bars. Shower was a bit small for anyone big. Pillows were a bit hard.
- Joonas (9/5): Superb -
- Jacqueline (7/5): Villa Boro - Very clean and room v nice The location was on a hill up lots of steps if you are bad at walking this villa isnt for you.
- Mary (8/5): good - location was so nice and owner as well.
- Alexia (9/5): Superb - Great location,
Recently renovated so everything is spotless. Staff are very friendly and great value for money -

- Karen (9/5): Superb - Beautiful spot, room was perfect, lovely pool we really enjoyed our stay 👌 The only fault is there are quite a few steps up to the rooms and also from the main strip to Villa Boro so would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues
- Classick (10/5): Amazing Property, Great Location - Great location, beautiful views, the pool was lovely. Apartment itself was beautiful, clean and well stocked. Staff were friendly and the area was quiet but still very close to lots of local amenities Honestly I can't fault them at all
- Lisa (10/5): Hidden gem - A hidden little gem, tucked away from the busy restaurant/ bar strip. This property was possibly one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed in. Everything from the pool area, common area and apartment was exceptional. You could see the owners take great pride. Arrived late in the evening and was met with a complementary drink. The apartment itself is up a fair bit of step climbing from the strip but this is not something that would put me off. You are down into that area in less the five minutes. Easy access to a great bus service, the number 6 will bring you right into the centre of the old town in about 10/15 minutes. A return fare for both of us was less them €5. Used a cab too and that was only €10. I will be back to this property again for sure ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🍀💚 There was nothing to fault 😊
