Authentic Turkish Home is exactly what its name promises a warm, unique, and genuinely unforgettable experience. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, combining traditional Turkish touches with modern comfort. Every room has its own character, and each one is spotless, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully designed. It honestly feels less like a hotel and more like staying in a lovingly curated home. • Rahaf (4/5): كان بالنسبة لي نزل الاحلام لكن اصبح حقيقة مروعه مثل الكابوس. - نفس الاماكن التي استهدفتها لكن الحجم اصغر من الموضح في الموقع، بشكل عام المكان اعجبني جداً لكن للاسف المفارش قديمه جداً و ليست نظيفة الادراج ليست نظيفة، و المالك غير متعاون… النزل ليس بالكامل لي! رغم انه موضح في بوكنق ان النزل لي كاملاً غرفة واحده صغيرة جداً دورة المياة شكلها مختلف، المالك غير متعاون.

• Robert Petrus (10/5): - EN: Everything was exactly as described – a clean and cozy room, beautifully decorated in a traditional Turkish style. I loved the solid wood furniture, the rustic touches, and the floral details that gave the place a warm and authentic feeling. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, and the unique washbasin in the bathroom added charm to the whole experience. The elegant armchair was perfect for relaxing. The area was peaceful and check-in went smoothly. TR: Her şey açıklamalarda yazıldığı gibiydi – temiz, konforlu ve geleneksel Türk tarzında zevkle dekore edilmiş bir oda. Masif ahşap mobilyalar, rustik detaylar ve çiçek desenleri, ortama sıcak ve otantik bir hava katıyordu. Yatak rahattı, mutfak yeterince donanımlıydı ve banyodaki dekoratif lavabo deneyime ayrı bir güzellik kattı. Köşedeki zarif koltuk dinlenmek için harikaydı. Bölge sessizdi ve giriş işlemleri sorunsuzdu.

• Cepenn586 (7/5): Good - Great location, has a major opportunity to be a fabulous spot. The home itself is very cool. The sewage smell coming from the bathroom is absolutely out of control and not acceptable. Please address this. We had to keep the door shut and the fan on the entire 4 days.

• Bruna (8/5): Lovely little home in lively neighbourhood - Our stay at Authentic Turkish Home was great. The place was easy to find and in a good location, with easy access to public transportation to other parts of town. The room was very cozy, with a lovely view from the terrace. There was a slightly unpleasant odor coming from the bathroom, possibly the drains.
• Oshokpamhe (9/5): The host is super nice and the room is not luxurious but comfortable enough. - I did not subscribe for breakfast however there are facilities to prepare breakfast. PS don't do spicy foods as this will trigger the fire alarms. Everything was perfect however, the room was ready by 2pm Turkish time and the wifi was down one of the evenings. But in all the place was perfect and wonderful.

• Valentino (9/5): Superb - The most valuable aspect that this apartment has is communication with the owner. He is open-minded and willing to help in any situation under any circumstances. As well as that, the flat makes you dive into Turkish authenticity by style and furniture as well as location with a beautiful balcony. It is a great location in terms of getting food (grocery store, street food, restaurants), fun (several clubs in walking distance, shisha), and spiritual thought (mosque nearby). As stated by the guest "Nazeeh" earlier, the downsides are still following: 1. "Lack of basic facilities such as towels (we had only one each) shampoo, tissue paper, and drinking water wasn't available at arrival" 2. Very steep stairs, which can be challenging for someone with heavy luggage or health issues or in case someone has too much to drink 3. Due to wooden authenticity, some furniture is a little bit damaged but not crucially
• Alexey (8/5): Very good - First of all, I would like to note the convenient location of the hotel. On the one hand in the center, on the other hand in a quiet area. The room is compact, but it has everything you need for a comfortable stay for tourists. A very friendly host who was always in touch. Clean bed linen and towels, comfortable light, you can't hear the neighbors. There was a ironing board and an iron in the room. Thank you for your hospitality, we hope to visit the amazing Istanbul once again! The only thing was that the sink was leaking a little, but it's fixable. Among the household items that I would like to add is a portable drying rack for laundry.

• Vanya (10/5): Convenient stay in Ortakoy - The studio is just as described - clean, comfortable, and quiet. It has all the necessary amenities - good wifi, washing machine, an iron, hairdryer, etc. It's located in Ortakoy neighborhood, close to the mosque and the Bosphorus bridge. If one wants to go to the historical center, the ferry is convenient, cheap and it's a picturesque trip. The communication with the host is easy.
• A (8/5): Authentic house in an authentic neighbourhood - Very nicely restored authentic Turkish home. Bora was very friendly and the room had everything. There’s a cafe next door to the house. And being an authentic house it has single glass in the windows. So, if you need to be up early the next morning like I did this is something you might want to consider.
• Jan (10/5): Budget accommodation in a great location, quiet and nice area! - This is a budget accommodation, a flat with 40 kvm space divided into a basement area and a first-floor area. The bed room, toilet and showers are downstairs in the basement. The bed is a king size bed, it was excellent (usually beds are too hard for my taste but not the case here)! Showers and toilet are not a separate room it is integrated into the bedroom! Hot and cold water worked very well in the shower. The first-floor has a fridge and a small stove, the kitchen is not developed for preparing big meals just cocking coffee or boiling some eggs! First floor has some nice classic Turkish furniture! Internet worked very well (there was internet in the basement as well but I didn’t use it). The location is fantastic it’s a calm and very nice area, no mosque nearby so one avoids the very early morning wake up call for prayer! Several great grocery store in the vicinity, many small restaurants as well! The famous Ortaköy mosques is only five to ten minutes walking away! Good Bosporen ferry connections. Management is very service minded and helpful communication through Whatsapp! Little English spoken in personal meetings however this is solved with google translate. Stairs in the entrance to the house is steep and door narrow it’s a little bit tricky to handling luggage in the entrance door. The stairs between basement and the first-floor have quite high stairs and no handrail (take that into account if you have problems moving around?).

• Nazeeh (8/5): Very good - Our host Bora was excellent. He checked us one hour earlier. He kept texting me to check how our stay was going. Basic facilities such as towels (we had only one each) shampoo, tissue paper, drinking water weren't available at arrival. We had to ask for them. If you are traveling with heavy luggage I suggest you avoid the upper floors (Very steep stairs)
• Alexandra (8/5): very nice experience - Property was comfortable, nicely decorated The kitchen wasn’t very well equipped, but that was not an issue as our host provided everything we needed shortly.
• Aliyev (10/5): If you have something to do in Ortakoy, Istanbul, I strongly recommend Authentic Turkish hotel. - Actually, there was some misunderstanding. as we were to check in on September 08, 2022, the room was not free to submit to us. But the owner of the Hotel arranged another room in another Hotel (not far from Authentic Turkish free of charge and reimbursed us the fee for the first night. At the same time, there is a cafe next to Authentic Turkish (Chaynik). Very delicious meals, especially Muhlama. The personnel was fantastic. Several times they even didn't get money for tea. I can't say I didn't like it, but it could be better if they do some repair work in the bathroom. Some tiles rusted.
