Guest Reviews
- Tanya (3/5): Underwhelming - The location in proximity to the things I wanted to do was great. It was noisy on the weekends from the pubs. The air-con was broken and I received no response to my message regarding it, and the property was not clean. It needs a good dust, vacuum, and scrub of the bathroom/shower.
- Narelle (4/5): Besides the plumbing and no circulation everything was fine - Central Poor drainage, no air con
- SANDRA (10/5): - Central location and large space for chilling & doing your own cooking.
- Chaninart (6/5): -
- Ranganathan (7/5): Nice location for access to CBD and NYE celebrations - Location was convenient to the kings cross station and not far from the roads near the fireworks at new year's eve For the incredibly high cost of the apartment, the facility was fairly basic. The second bedroom did not even have a cupboard for hanging clothes in, the second room was not fully covered so noise from movements in the kitchen was coming into the 2nd bedroom. On New year's eve in the morning, there was lot of noise from the clubs next door and the bus stop just 2 floors below the balcony of the second room
- Warwick (8/5): -
- Jet (10/5): We loved the natural light and vibe of this apartment. So much so it’s made us want to move to Sydney! Perfect location - The location was so perfect for catching the train into the CBD It was a little noisy in the street facing bed room but honestly didn’t bother me at all
- Chak Yiu Joey (9/5): -
- Colleen (9/5): -
- Andrew (7/5): Great location but the second bedroom is very noisy from the nearby nightlife. - It was centrally located and hear to public transport. WARNING: The second bedroom was originally part of the main living room and overlooks the street. This is Kings Cross so the nightlife noise is often excessive and will disturb the sleeper.
- Zurtini (9/5): - Locations very close to restaurants easy to get food. Noise from the next-door pub, music laud till 2 pm
- Dr Dee (9/5): Great stay, clean cosy, very fresh and airy, good aircon , plenty of restaraunts and supermarkets around plus station, w - Spacious bathroom, lounge area, bedroom..light, small balcony so great fresh air, well equiped with everything we needed in good kitchen.. lift No full length mirror in bedroom..
- Robin (7/5): Noisy - Had good balconies and a good space inside Was a little unclean with some mould in the bedroom. Friday night was incredibly noisy until at least 3am and could not sleep
- Dave (1/5): Beware - Booked online for 4 nights, turned up with luggage, called the phone number multiple times, no one answered. Took 30 minutes of calling, eventually someone answered, and I was told the room was not available! Left stranded. Do not use, stay away. Don't pay a cent to this place.
- KATSUMI (7/5): - 立地・環境 Wifiがない
- Dhara (9/5): - Great location, restaurant around the apartment was great, easy to go to city. No complaints
- Monika (8/5): - Was very noisy during the nights.
- Stephy (7/5): Great Location & Space, But Let Down by Maintenance and Communication - Location is unbeatable: Just a 3-minute walk to Kings Cross Station, making it incredibly convenient for exploring Sydney.
Spacious & Quiet Internally: The apartment itself is large, simply yet nicely decorated. I heard no noise from upstairs or next door, which was wonderful.
Value for Money: For the space and location, the price is reasonable. Last-Minute Check-In Change: Despite confirming an 11:00-11:30 check-in via Booking.com messages, they changed it to 13:30-14:00 the day before arrival. This was inconvenient and forced me to change my plans.
Major Maintenance Issues: This was the biggest letdown. The hairdryer's filter was completely blocked with dust, causing it to just shake weakly and produce no air. It was unusable. Furthermore, the provided dishwasher sponge was dirty and appeared to have been used by a previous guest. This raises questions about the thoroughness of cleaning.
Street Noise: My room faced the main street. On Friday night, music was loud until 3-4 AM. It didn't bother me too much, but light sleepers should absolutely request a rear-facing room.
- Aoife (8/5): -
- Vargas (3/5): - Very good location, close to everything you need to explore the city. The cleanliness was poor. In fact, when we lifted the sheets, we found dirt and stains. There was dust on the balcony that needed cleaning, cobwebs, mould in the shower, not enough toilet paper for four people, and a lot of noise at the weekend from the nightclubs in the area.
- Danuta (9/5): -
- Leia (4/5): - Pros: Central location, close to St Vincent's hospital and bus stop. Very kind man greeted us with keys at the hotel.
Lot's of places to eat nearby with Coles and woolworths across the road.
Layout of the rooms are nice, overall the apartment was sweet, a little run down but okay. Cons: Very loud on weekends due to night club or other nearby (this was mentioned prior to booking), no tea, coffee, spare towels or extra toilet rolls which was a big surprise. Even the shampoo and conditioner was just half empty random bottles in the shower recess, presumably left from others.
We were there for 6 days and only 2 rolls between 3 people. Shower basin unclean, oven not working (watched video, read online manual and followed prompts). No response from after hours number for 15 hours. For $340 a night, definitely not what we were expecting. No reception which was stated however afterhours not really contactable either so you're pretty much on your own.
- Tony (4/5): Not a lot of sleep - Clean and tidy Noise. Very noisy as it’s right across from late night bar and taxi rank. Loud noise continues all throughout the night until around 5am
- harty (8/5): -
- Kaye (10/5): We had a lovely time and the location was perfect for us - The location and the cleanliness The air con wasn’t working properly but fortunately it don’t get hot
- Kirsty (10/5): -
- Alexia (1/5): Rudest staff ever - bullying and harrassing - Great location and venue was decorated nice - however the staff were rude. The check in process unnecessarily cumbersome, the security deposit so incredibly high
It’s the worst experience I’ve had in Potts point in 6 years Staff not the property
- Denise (8/5): -
- Chiara (8/5): Overall pretty good - The location was superb and the apartment was good.
It had the essential amenities although we had to buy the basics (paper towels, cooking oil, etc). Very happy overall The hair-dryer was broken, had to buy a new one. No coffee capsules even tho there was a Nespresso coffee machine. Just 1 glass, had to go and buy paper cups.
- AH C (8/5): comfort -
- Paul (6/5): Convenient location but could be better presented ! - Location was great Apartment was lacking in any character .. needs lamp to soften harsh overhead light. Foyer and entry felt like a building zone with plastic in the floor. No space in bathroom for toiletries .. very basic for the cost !
- Tri (8/5): -
- Cathy (9/5): Very good stay a bit noisy over weekend but that is where it is situated I would stay again - The layout was really impressive for the size of the unit A bit noisy. no microwave
- Alanna (6/5): Okay and had a great weekend overall - Location and kitchen facilities and comfortable bed. Shower was good. Allowed us a late checkout. Good value considering it was Easter. Close to public transport and 2 supermarkets No soap or shampoo or conditioner provided and room hadn’t been cleaned when we arrived. They did organise for the cleaners to come and clean room for us ASAP as there had been some sort of mix up. Bring earplugs if you come on weekend as there is a nightclub underneath and loud voices on street. Ok if you keep windows closed and bring earplugs.
- Esther (7/5): Great location, very loud night club next door. - The apartment was in a great location for exploring the city and it is near public transportation. There is a coffee shop and grocery store across the street which was perfect. Garage parking is outrageously expensive, but we were able to get street parking for the duration of our stay. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was sufficient. My biggest complaint is the night club next door. We arrived on Friday and the music was *very* loud from Friday through Sunday!! Music and people talking went on until 4AM. Thankfully the club was closed on Monday. We left Tuesday morning.
- Wendy (8/5): Nice & clean - Apartment was light and clean & in a good location. Good communication from Orange Stay before and during check-in. Had a later late checkout approved on the day. Would definitely stay again & recommend to others Issue with bedside lights (no globe in 1 light & other not working) wasn't resolved during the stay. I had to send photos to prove the problem & when I followed up the next day, the Melbourne call centre hd trouble getting a response from Sydney office because it was a public holiday.
- Kay (7/5): Good - Location was amazing, nice and clean There just wasn't any body wash
- Graeme (8/5): Very good -
- Favelle (5/5): Average - Fridge Mattress
No power fro one day
Hot water slow
Door doesn' lock
- Anne-marie (8/5): Great apartment for a fun Sydney stay. - The location was very handy to transport and plenty of dining options. Great layout and good to have full size fridge. Single beds are tiny and there is definitely some noise from nearby clubs until the wee hours of the morning.
- Joseph (8/5): Great location, best for short stay - Great location, easy to go everywhere
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Jane (8/5): Very good -
- Becca (7/5): Good stay, avoid rooms near the street as it’s so noisy - Most things Street side room was really really noisy. Hard to sleep
- Ian (8/5): Quite good - see above! - It suited our needs fine, as we were travelling to the cricket and casino. Some great pubs nearby with fantastic and affordable meals (one pub had a huge and wonderful T-bone steak and salad for only $18!), and the area also had a couple of really good cafes that had tasty and cheap breakfasts with nice coffee, too. If you're going to stay at Kings Cross over a weekend - and with our stay it involved Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights - be wary of the Saturday night DOOF-DOOF. There obviously was a venue very close-by that raged until 2am, then the noisy and *cheerful crowd mingled outside until about 5am (* if it had've been Melbourne then the crowd would've been brawling (heh heh). This meant that the person in the front room was subjected to that noise. In the back room where the two single beds were, you could also just hear the beat of the DOOF-DOOF but not the crowd noise (I slept in that back room, luckily....).
A really good central location and in a vibrant area of Sydney.
- Valentina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brett (6/5): Great location. Aircon needs to be fixed and check in need a lot of work - Great location The check in process is a lot of work. Giving time windows and meeting people for keys isn’t ideal. Should have been mentioned on booking.com particularly when your traveling for work and things change
- Maurice (8/5): Very good - The location and the apartment space and decor. It had everything needed and was in good taste. n/a
- Thomas (3/5): Airconditioner and dishwasher is not working. Extremely loud next to the party one. - Decent design Airconditioner was not working at all and the dishwasher was broken. Even after talking with the company they said it was working, even though it was 25-30 degrees inside.
- J0 (7/5): Good - The apartment size is good, with ample space to open luggage. TV is high-quality resolution. Super near to King's Cross Station. The fire alarm was set off on one of the night, it was super loud and irritating. The pub facing the master bedroom was kinda loud and noisy. Can consider soundproofing the window.
- Wei (8/5): Very good -
- Bree (10/5): Exceptional -
- Meagan (9/5): Superb - Well appointed. Great location. William was wonderful Nothing we couldn't cope with.
- Kassidy (3/5): Loud every night for HOURS, check in process sucked. Only positive was the distance to train and shops - Secure, good distance from train, food & supermarkets LOUD EVERY NIGHT!!! From 4pm to 3am over the weekend. Had to wear earplugs to bed and even then it woke me up constantly. The check in process was abysmal, concierge was not prepared at all and nearly an hour late. Would not recommend
- Claudia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kim (7/5): The 4 day get away was just what we needed, walking distance to shops, transport and cafe. - Great location close to cafes, hotels, shops, taxis , train station and convenience stores. The apartment was a good size but only had a 2 seater lounge and would have been better with another chair to sit in. As we got into the apartment late that night it would have been nice to have a small welcome basket with some bottled water, milk, tea and coffee until we were able to get to the local supermarket.
- Eugenie (8/5): Very good -
- Suzanne (8/5): Very good - Good amenities, well equiped, comfortable bed Saturday night, clubbing action noise until 3:30 am
- Rene (9/5): Superb -
- Andiaust (9/5): Great base to explore Sydney! - Great location and modern fitout
- Donna (10/5): The safest, central and private accommodation - 2 balconies
Spacious, clean and had everything in it you could ever want
Great security
Great location
I will return Nothing
- Martin (8/5): Very good - Great location. Close to bars, restaurants, supermarkets and train station No manual for how to work appliances. Couldn’t work out how to use oven/microwave or clothes dryer. Oven kept intermittently beeping 24 hours a day and we couldn’t work out how to stop it!
- Kaitlin (5/5): Passable - Good location and layout of the rooms were good, bathroom was good and beds were comfortable. Staff arrived an hour late to check us in, the double bed was dirty with hair and dirt specks on the sheets. Noise from the street was excessively loud in the double bedroom to the point it sounded like our windows were open all night
- ginette (8/5): - Appartement confortable et propre
Seule faiblesse : peu d’ustensiles, papier de toilette et linge de maison
- Carla (2/5): Very poor - The location was good. The hosted attention was bad. He got too late in arriving to the apartment. He was not a nice man.
The apartment was not clean.
We did not have enough toilette paper.
Bad mattress and the worst thing is that there is a lot of noise because there is a discotheque ingrown of it.
The internet was bad
- Vicki (9/5): Great apartment in a superb location. Would stay again. - There was no microwave in the apartment.
- Cohen (5/5): Hard surfaces noisy, light from windows unable to be blocked out despite blinds was sufficient reason to not return - Location great Single beds too small for adults
- Leigh (8/5): Very good -
- Denise (8/5): Very good -
- Lena (8/5): - Would have been nice if we had been left more than 1 roll of toilet paper.
- Mitchell (7/5): Good -
- Vasanthi (8/5): Handy place for exploring Sydney . Close to Kings Cross Station - Spacious and well equipped if you wanted to self cater. Easy transport options or walk to CBD Very noisy on the road side at night. Better insulation and double glazing might help.
- John (9/5): It was excellent. - Its clean, spacious and very homey The room where the double bed was, got too noisy during the weekend. But it was fine considering the location.
- Margaret (7/5): A necessity to visit family in hospital. - The location was ideal as I had family at St Vincent's Private Hospital. Front bedroom was very noisy on the Thurs, Fri & Sat nights.
There was not enough toilet paper, no tissues, coffee, pepper or salt.
For the price of the apartment these things should be standard.
- Lorraine (6/5): Pleasant - the unit was not clean and the bed linen needed changing. The bathroom sink was blocked
- Paula (6/5): This is a maybe. - Loved that the little things were there - shampoo, soap, coffee - and the space. Light, clean and functional. William the concierge was fantastic. There's obvious water damage in one room (even the beds been moved to accommodate) but it was damp smelly. The same room overlooked the road, and the balcony door doesn't close properly so it was very noisy until the Cross shuts down.
- Jennifer (8/5): Great location and spacious apartment but be prepared to feel like the nightclub is literally in your bedroom - Great location and spacious apartment The double bed room was excessively noisy from street noise all night till 4 or 5 am on all 4nights we stayed Thursday to Sunday. Ear plugs didn’t work either
- City (7/5): Great location and comfy beds. Needs some extras to make it great. - Good location to restaurants and walks. Very near station which is great. Large bathroom. Nicely decorated. Apartments had good security. Beds were very comfy. "Main" bed in front of apartment was small and had no wardrobe. This bedroom was very noisy at night as glass was not double glazed. It appeared that they had walled off the area to make another bedroom. Second bedroom was huge with large wardrobe but two single beds! It was quieter and light and airy. They need to reverse the bedding and put queen or king bed in that room. There was one couch which wasn't big enough for 4 adults. Needs another single lounge chair. No full length mirror! No face washers provided, and towels were threadbare. No black tea or milk provided.
- Janeene (4/5): Overall ok but a few things made it disappointing - The balcony door couldn’t be locked. We phoned and said if they lock
It can’t be opened. We should have had a key. Need instruction to use dishwasher. No hand washing dish detergent
- Gil (8/5): Great value for money. - Location, amenities, and value for money. That it was located next to nightclubs .
- Sharon (8/5): Convenient location. Light airy apartment. - Great central location close to kings cross and potts point.
Elevator.
Security on doors - entry.
Close to transport. Taxie, bus, hoponhop off.
Small verandahs off bedrooms.
Restaurants and coffee shops.
Spacious. Noise Friday and Saturday nights from bars and night clubs - till 3am.
Bathroom sink didn't drain properly.
Needs more glasses (only 2 ) and cutlery.
- Sally (8/5): central convenient location bright appartment - convenient too noisy
- Carmine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karyn (8/5): Great location however service was not great. - Lovely apartment, great location. 1 roll of toilet roll to cover 4 adults for 5 days, door in room to balcony lock broken. Two of the group were waiting outside and the person who booked and paid flight was delayed and they would not allow the others to check in on time and therefore ended up charging a $100 late check in fee even though some of the group were there.
- Jack (8/5): Very good -
- Othman (8/5): Good location - The location. On Saturday night, there was loud music but fortunately did not go past midnight.
- Sherryl (8/5): Overall it was a convenient place to stay but the street/nightclub noise was bad for the 3 nights of our stay. - It was clean with good shower and comfy beds.Close to CBD and can walk to train station & Coles supermarket: taxi rank outside door. The bars/night clubs in street were very noisy till 3 pm. Front bedroom had no soundproofing, v. difficult to sleep on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night.
Also no coffee/teabags in unit.
Also the $500 security bond seems a bit high, $200-250 is usual price.
- Glenda (7/5): Comfy, convenient and loved the little balconies. - Great convenient location, close to train station and plenty of cafes and places to eat. Coles and Woolies close too. Loved it. The main bedroom was facing the street and Friday and Saturday night the venue across the street played very loud music till way after midnight, was very hard to sleep, even with earplugs. Need more pillows.
- Sharyn (8/5): Very good - location
size very noisy all night with clubs across the street
- Eleni (7/5): Good - I was told there was not a coffee machine but infact there was. I brought my own plunger which was inconvenient.
Otherwise all ok. Perhaps a few hooks to hang towels.
- Paul (8/5): - Nabbed the apt at the last minute with little knowledge of it and location. It is very well placed for exploring Sydney in a rather funky area - well serviced by transport from Airport and around city and walkable to front and CBD via interesting sites. The apt is 'focussed' and serviced a family very well, one or two minor additions to cupboards and more towels would work but these are not complaints. We welcomed the flexible check in and light touch guidance on the property.
Very little to say we did not like but pay attention to reviews as the clubs/pubs below can be noisy to the early hours later in the week but if you've had a good day you'll sleep through anyway!
- Gobie (8/5): Very good - location the attending staff was very pushy
- Catherine (8/5): Very good -
- Maria (8/5): clean , good facilities , location is good but beware Saturday night is very noisy in the street - too noisy on a Saturday night
I couldn’t sleep in the front room
luckily there was a single bed in the other room where the noise wasn’t as bad
- Thomson (9/5): Superb - Great facilities. Great location. Better then photos. Felt safe staying here Abit noisy in the front room Friday/ Saturday nights
- Tiffany (10/5): Would stay again - Really convenient being near the Kings Cross Station. Apartment was well-kept and clean. Slight noise on weekend but not even half as bad as we were expecting. Elaine was also really nice and helpful!
- Michael (8/5): ideal for getting to central Sydney by train - well equipped clean very comfortable area very noise at night even as we were on the 3rd floor
- Janet (8/5): Very good -
- Luke (10/5): Exceptional -
