• Lisa (10/5): Athens neighborhood hotel - The hotel is located within walking distance to the Acropolis Museum and the Parthenon and coffee shops and restaurants. Mysilia (most like spelled wrong) at the front desk was very helpful with directions and places to go and with anything we asked. She got us an Uber to the port too. The room is not fancy but was good for our needs. The AC worked well in the Athens heat. We got there before check-in and they were able to give us a room.

• Virgil (10/5): - This is a unique property with gated, private courtyard. The location cannot be beaten as it is in the city center but a little off center which cuts down on noise. It's also walking distance to a major taxi stand so you won't need a car. The room was clean and comfortable and well tended. Highly recommend.

• Tamara (8/5): - The Hotel is 10 min walk from Acropolis Museum and archeological site. You can also walk to a lot of ancient cites from this location. Rooms have air conditioning and the lounge offers relaxing sitting area with a view of Acropolis.

• Charlie (10/5): - I stayed here for my birthday back at the end of June and it was my first solo trip. Coming from Canada was a VERY long and scary trip, but the staff was incredibly welcoming to me. They cleaned the room daily which was so amazing. The breakfast (for €9 a day) was worth it every time to sit on the balcony with the staff and get ready for my days. The hotel itself was beautiful and so clean. The room was quaint and perfect for my stay. There is also A/C units! All in all, if I could go back to Athens one day, I would stay here again.

• Gina (10/5): - Amazing location and very large room! Bathroom was a bit sketchy and no electricity (including a/c) when you're not in the room. Worth it for a couple days to be in the city centre and have a gorgeous view of the Acropolis!

• Laura (10/5): - If you are looking for 5-star amenities, this is not the place for you. If you want a great location, good price, and super friendly staff, this is it. We absolutely loved the charming and cozy ambiance here, with so many different types of art on the walls. A book exchange is in a nook on the second floor. Our room opened to the street below, which could be a bit noisy if you are not used to city sounds. The staff here are wonderful and provided excellent service - and dinner recommendations. Walk to Plaka and the Acropolis Museum in only a few short blocks. I would absolutely stay here again if I return to Athens.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Fourth floor View of the Acropolis - Super friendly staff learning a lot about the family and the history. The neighborhood had great restaurants, near by post office, grocery store, and pharmacy. There is a view of the Acropolis from the 4th floor balcony.

• YIFAT (8/5): - Very nice and cosy hotel. The owners were very nice, as well as the receptionists. There was a problem with the wifi in our floor, which was very inconvinient. Except this problem, we enjoined very much!
• Cecil (8/5): - The hotel staff were great and very helpful. The AC in the room was great! It stayed very cold at night even though it was hot outside (we like the AC to be way down). The shower pressure was amazing. The force of the sprayer could take the paint off the wall. Which I love. The biggest issue of the hotel was the cleanliness. It didn't feel dirty until you got to the shower. The drain had mold. If the shower was cleaner, I would definitely stay here again.

• Kristen (8/5): - We enjoyed our stay at the Art Gallery hotel. While the hotel is dated and could use updating, the value for money is quite good. The location is excellent - very walkable to the Acropolis and dining. The staff were pleasant and helpful with local recommendations. One minor complaint: one staff member liked to sit outside and smoke on the front steps, and the smoke wafted in and up to the corridor outside our room. All in all, I would recommend this for a budget hotel option in Athens.

• Lynn (4/5): Art Gallery Hotel Athend - I need to make it clear distinction here between the staff and the facility. The staff was absolutely awesome. The people we met helped us with anything that we asked and were extremely friendly and courteous. Unfortunately, the facility is not good. The room was extremely small and was barely big enough to fit a bed, the bathroom was not good, and this place has cockroaches. I would not recommend it

• William (8/5): - Billed as being beneath the Acropolis but was in fact several city blocks downhill from the Acropolis. Check-out was shown on our booking confirmation that check-out was noon and we were called at 11:00 to check-out.

• Leticia (8/5): - This was a great place to stay, the staff was accommodating, it's in the center of pretty much all the sites in Athens, Greece. The Acropolis is like a 10 to 15 minute walk and you can see it from their lounge! I enjoyed my stay here and I highly recommend it!

• Liberty (10/5): - Staff were accommodating with our late check-in and request for adjacent rooms. We had a wing to ourselves that felt private like we’re at home. Only downside is there’s no A/C in bathroom so you have to either open bathroom window or open door for awhile to cool it down. Otherwise, location is close to dining options, tram and walkable enough (less than 0.5 mile) to acropolis area, metro station and Plaka stairs.
• Akira (10/5): - It's very close to the Acropolis but in a mostly residential neighborhood with great options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner a couple minutes out the door. You won't get the noisiness of staying in Plaka but you'll get the convenience. The people who run it are good. Not artificial corporate people but real people with personality. The place has a nice vintage feel to it without being run down. I mean that as a compliment. If you want a luxury resort with all the latest generic style trends, this isn't the place for you. If you want quaint yet clean, this is it.

• Andrea (8/5): Great location, not a luxury hotel - Art Gallery Hotel has a great location- short walk to the Acropolis and restaurants, car rentals etc. Was perfect when we needed a centrally- located resting point while exploring Athens. But don’t expect luxury - this is an old building with tiny bathrooms and squeaky floors. Very clean, but you essentially make your own bed. Staff was fantastic- very helpful with all of my annoying questions. Price was amazing.

The hotel is clean and easy to access, in a nice part of town close to many restaurants, shops, and the Acropolis. Great spot for staying near tourist options, but not in the crowds or loud nightlife. There is a small outside patio area with a view of the Parthenon and acropolis that we sat outside on every night.

• Jean Pierre (6/5): Lovely people, rundown room - We stayed in the family suite so I cannot speak for the rest of the hotel. The hotel itself was charming and lovely. Great location and wonderful staff. Unfortunately our room was so rundown it was no longer charming. It desperately needed repairs and paint. We were only there for one night and it served it’s purpose well. I would not stay there for more than one night. The room was so rundown that it looked dirty.

• Joseph (10/5): - This is a reasonably priced hotel, and for the money, it was well worth it. The girl in the reception area was outstanding. She was so lovely and willing to help. It’s just a nine minute walk to the Acropolis, and all of the touristy places are very close and walkable. I highly recommend this hotel. Also, we took the metro from the airport, which is only nine euros and very convenient, and from the metro station, the hotel is only a four minute walk.
