Dubai Islands is a new developement and with Riu and Centara next door being the only two finished buildings on a large building site, there is nothing else around. Its a taxi ride to anything else,but not an issue as there are plenty outside the hotel

- Lillian (4/5): - I recently stayed at Hotel Riu Dubai with my family and here’s my honest experience: Pros: The property is clean and well maintained. The pool and ocean views are stunning—definitely the highlight of the stay. The hotel feels safe and secure, with key-card access required for each floor. The bars offer a wide variety of drinks, with one open until 2:30am. Taxis are always available, and food delivery services will deliver directly to the hotel. Cons: Room issue: One of our party members had a bathroom leak. Maintenance repaired it, but the leak returned the very next night. Because we booked through Expedia, the hotel said they could not accommodate us—not even with a room change. This was frustrating and unprofessional. Dining: Specialty restaurants were a major letdown. They served the same food as the buffet with very little variety. From day one, we were told all specialty restaurants were “fully booked,” and reservations could only be made two days in advance. Limited amenities: Aside from the pool and beach, there isn’t much to do on the property. Food safety concerns: Food is put out throughout the day (burgers, chicken hotdogs, etc.), but it is left uncovered and not timestamped, making it questionable how safe it is to eat. Transportation: The hotel does not provide complimentary shuttles beyond the property. Renting a car is highly recommended, as taxis add up quickly and there are not many restaurants or shops nearby. The lamb was great and my goto. It is a bit away from downtown but there are alway taxi in front. And its onlybaboutba 15 -20 min ride to downtown. We had talha one of the taxi drivers on call and he was great and on time picking us up from our destinations. The pools and beach are very clean and wel kept.One thing that stuck out to me and my was how clean and nice it was. We saw viseos online that dis not do justice to this hotel. In person it was a great modern hotel. Overall we will be coming back to Rui on our next trip back.

Overall, it was a good hotel and we enjoyed our stay, but there were a few things we didn’t like: • The bathroom design was not very convenient. The walls were made of glass, so if someone used the toilet or shower at night, the light and shadows were visible in the room, which felt uncomfortable and awkward. • There was an unpleasant sewage smell coming from the bathroom, even though the room itself was clean. • The building looked older than expected. We were told it was only about five years old, but it felt more dated. • The bed linens were very clean, but the chemicals used in the laundry caused skin irritation for us. We ended up buying our own sheets to use. Other than that, everything else was acceptable. Transportation was a bit expensive since the hotel is far from the city, so taxi rides added up quickly. The buffets were good, and we also tried the Lebanese and Italian specialty restaurants. However, they didn’t feel very different from the main buffet—many dishes were repeated and there weren’t many unique options. We were moved rooms basically across the resort from our other family members who had been right beside us so that was frustrating/taints my review...

- Gelana (6/5): - Internet access wasnt great. Wifi doesnt work so well . Our laptop didntnwork at all. Beds arent so comfortable, matresses arent soft clearly old. Tjere are maybe 2 chanells on tv thatbwere in english and tnere is no options to log into netflix or anything like that so we couldnt watch tv. Rooms are small . Its not terrible but not the best accomodations. Overall hotel is neat ans clean. Food was good, the buffet had a lot of options that were good. Pools are big and spacious plenty of room. Consoder getting your beds early in the am , around 10 30 am they are all taken. But there is a lot of beds on the beach . Beach was beautiful and warm water. Commute from hotel to city center is about 25 minutes so its not very close but its okay if you have a rented car. Its on dubai islands tjere is nothing here other then 2 hotels, so around here you wont find anywhere to go or eat, the whole area is under construction will be very nice prob in 5 years or so. Hotel doesnt accomodate late cheout they charge 30 aed per person per hour for extended time which is ridiculous in my opinion . The spa at the hotel was great loved the treatments we had . Overall okay experience not the best but decent . Next time will book somewhere closer to downtown area .

Noisy, it’s not 24 hour all inclusive, lots of the dining options are closed, pool closes way too early, the only thing that remains open to eat is the “sports bar” but it has the same few options daily. Pool table out of order, our shower had standing water in it, our mini bar soda was all flat.

- Donna Maria (10/5): - Great to be at an all inclusive hotel in Dubai. The hotel is located on Dubai island a new up and coming area @20 minutes from the Dubai Mall/Burj Khalifa. The variety of different types of food was great and the staff hardworking and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

We ate all of our meals at the buffet - we would like to have eaten at the restaurants, but there were no reservations available due to it being the off-season. The buffet offered a large variety to meet the needs of everyone in our party. The only disappointment was the bar service. The variety of drinks was very limited and the bartenders were unfamiliar with making any drinks other than the cocktail of the day. Overall, another great experience with Riu Resorts.

The food is amazing, with a variety of delicious dishes served daily. The other three restaurants are equally impressive. The pools and beach are beautiful, and the bar offers a wide selection of great drinks. The entertainment at the pool and the auditorium is fantastic, with Joshua and the entire staff providing an amazing team effort. It’s a great place for families. Hakuna Matata.
- Sheila (6/5): - The entertainment staff was a blast. The pool games the night show, they remember your names and always have that “I am here to help you” look. I wish they served better drinks for an All Inclusive, they need to improve their control of children running a muck and offer more kid activities that give them things to do. The food was incredible I enjoyed Lunch and dinner. Breakfast could have been better but it was all good. They should add Moscato to their wine list. The hot tub needs to be hotter and then the pool. Overall I met some Awesome Amazing people and hope to see them in 5 yeard
- Jordan Elise (6/5): - This RIU was pretty basic compared to other RIU’s I stayed at. So I had higher expectations, then what was given especially the entertainment area, there was little to no entertainment. The sports bar did not allow alcoholic beverages inside which was weird since it’s called a “bar”. After 2am security tells you that you can not sit outside and have to go back inside the hotel. The restaurants required reservations but was still a a self serve buffet, which I wasn’t used to since other RIU’s staff actually take your order and serve you. The pool/beach chairs were all reserved by towels with no one sitting there. Although on their policy it states staff will remove towels from chairs that’s not occupied. So good luck trying to find chairs that’s available without towels on it. Additionally, bar tenders did not freestyle alcoholic beverages. You had to order what was on the drink menu. I’ve been to other RIU’s that freestyle alcoholic beverages. Would not recommend

All staff members I spoke with were friendly, helpful and professional. The food options were vast and extremely tasty. They also have specialty restaurants on site that were equally good. This was my first experience at a RIU property but it won’t be my last.

(WHY!) Noisy: All around the hotel are massive construction projects on both sides and across the street. (BEWARE) All in all it was a nice nine-day stay at the Dubai Riu Hotel

Unfortunately traffic is is really bad alot of the times. Where there located is very under developed at the moment.

I also noticed the attention to detail for accessibility on the beach for people in wheel chairs or babies in strollers as they have these Matt’s laid out for you and makes the beach accessible for all.

- Oreste Giovanni Di (10/5): - This all-inclusive resort was incredible! Food, drinks, service, beach, pools, and rooms were all top notch. Contrary to what some people have said, drinks are NOT watered down and will pack a nice punch. Aside from their typical drinks, I highly recommend you try the drink of the day. In terms of food offerings, they have 4 restaurants (all buffets), a sports bar (beef and chicken burgers, hot dogs, all the fixings, fruits, desserts, and a soda machine), and a snack bar. We mostly at ate the main buffet as it offered many different things each day. They have 3 speciality restaurants: Italian, Lebanese, and Asian. We loved the Lebanese and Asian restaurants. Unfortunately, we missed our reservation to the Italian restaurant due to an unforseen circumstance but hope to try it the next time we visit. Thank you for an exceptional experience Hotel Riu Dubai!

- Dawn (6/5): - It is a pretty property. Every night my bathroom flooded and they would just have housekeeping come clean it instead of fix the problem. On my last night there I wound up missing my reservation because it flooded into the bedroom area. The beds were very uncomfortable. Easy to get lounge chairs. The pools were nice. A nice family resort. Did not care for the mixed drinks.
