• Lauren (4/5): - The staff were very friendly and wanted to help how they could I was 15 minutes late to check in and while I was in the grab to the hotel told me that they had let the person who had been staying in my room the day before stay another night (in their defence they did say it was an elderly person who wasn’t able to travel that day). They didn’t have another room available, so they sent me to the sister location, Ami Homestay. They offered to pay for my grab there or to take the price of the grab off from the price of the homestay, which they also discounted the price of itself. The staff were very apologetic and wanted to help how they could, but the reason I chose this place was because I just needed a place to sleep for a few hours and it was close to my bus stop as I had an early bus to catch the next day. All of this being said Ami hotel looked nice, it’s in a good location and the staff are friendly, but the situation shouldn’t have happened in the first place, and I should have been notified sooner that this was going to be the case (I arrived at 10:15 pm). As for Ami homestay, I do not recommend. There was hair all over the bed, and there was no toilet paper in my room when I arrived.

I stayed in room 602, which had a stunning view!! This was exactly what I needed: a super-comfortable bed right in the heart of the city OK, we shouldn’t expect a brand-new building or a perfect hotel at this price, but I’m personally convinced that this is the best hotel in this price range!

There is a slight mildewey smell in the room and once you get off the elevator. I didn’t let it bother me too much since we are in a humid area.

• Steven (1/5): Disappointed !!! - Die Lage Do not stay in the room 602 for that amount of money!!!!!! We had a very bad experience at the AMI Old Quarter Hotel in Hanoi. First of all, both of the boys are big liars!!! The room did not match the description in any way. The pictures look artificial and are clearly from AI, bearing no resemblance to the actual room. The room was extremely dirty and had a very strong, unpleasant odor. When we returned in the evening, the smell had suddenly disappeared. An employee informed us that he had entered our room (without our permission) and sprayed something. This constitutes a clear violation of our privacy. Furthermore, contrary to the description, there was no safe in the room, and we were given a false explanation for this. We only stayed because it was already late and we had no other option. During the night, the smell was so strong that we woke up and couldn't go back to sleep. We raised the issues at check-out. We were told that we should have contacted them earlier, and then they could have helped us or offered us a different room. However, we had already booked what was supposedly the best room category ("Suite") in the hotel, so this statement is incomprehensible to us. Despite our complaints, the hotel showed no willingness to compromise and insisted on full payment. We took numerous photos documenting the actual condition of room 602, Suite with Balcony.

La literie était confortable, c’est ce qui est un vrai bon point. la salle de bain manquait de propreté, une forte odeur d’humidité dans les chambres et le carrelage de la salle de bain était infiltré par l’eau et la seule fenêtre de la chambre donnait sur un mur, c’était un peu angoissant.
