• Aurelie (8/5): Welcoming business hotel - Very happy with our stay at Super Hotel, although it is a business hotel and the rooms are quite basic, the kindness of the staff is outstanding. The amenities, including the free bathroom products, are very nice, and the breakfast is great as well. I would definitely stay here again.

Spirits for self serving) - clean, wifi worked well (there is extra wifi for each room, so if hotel wide one doesn't work, try the one with your room number), bed comfy, array of pillows to choose from, typical range of Japanese amenities - communication during check in in english could have been better, but google translate and pre made check in material makes it work. Didn't interact much with staff, but during check in they were super friendly also. - value for money was not great during my one night stay from Sat-Sun. Maybe because I booked spontaneously, but it was way overpriced for what I got in the end. If the normal rate is lower, maybe around 8k a night, it's an alright deal.

• Steve (6/5): Small rooms - This is probably a great hotel for a solo business traveller. The breakfast was good, front desk was friendly and helpful and the amenities were great. But the rooms themselves are small. The bathroom is small. We had three people in a room and there was almost no space for one of them to climb into the bunk bed.

• Traveler04043564609 (8/5): Small but nice. - Wonderful staff, free booze in the lounge but the rooms seemed smaller than pictured. They offer free extra pillows in the lobby if the default ones are too firm for you and many other great amenities as well! The bunk bed entrance was very hard to get into and the bath room was small but it was a good area and comfortable once you got in there.

Park nearby was wonderful for morning walks… despite the very hot and humid days, 10-15 degrees hotter than normal this year. Also, within a 10 minute walk are two great art museums!

• Leonardo (4/5): Very Poor English communication and service - I understand that the general English knowledge of Japanese people is not the best, but I’d definitely expect a hotel receptionist to speak and understand English, especially in the 2nd/3rd most visited city in Japan The guy during the check in couldn’t answer couple of simple questions that I asked. I stayed in a room with bunk bed, and I don’t understand why I had to prepare the upper bed by myself, while the one below was prepared by the cleaning staff. I had to do this again and again ever day after the room was cleaned by the staff. Breakfast was quite poor and the room was definitely small for 3 people, however clean

Clean and quiet area but close to metro (3 minute walk). Free drinks (including alcohol) in the evening and kids loved the pajamas and the ‘choose your pillow’ which we’d never seen before. Fun hotel with kids.

• Vanessa (2/5): Très médiocre - Le pire hôtel de tout mon séjour. Pour le même tarif, les autres hôtels proposent des chambres deux fois plus grandes. Le bruit cumulé de la climatisation, du frigo et de la ventilation de la salle de bain rend le sommeil très difficile. La salle de bain ressemble à celle d'un mobile home ; il est impossible de se déshabiller, de se sécher et de se rhabiller à l'intérieur. La lumière de l'entrée s'allume automatiquement, donc si quelqu'un va aux toilettes pendant la nuit, la chambre tout entière s'allume. Aucune explication ne nous a été donnée à notre arrivée. Heureusement, un couple de personnes âgées nous a rattrapés à l'ascenseur pour nous montrer où étaient les produits de toilette. Le personnel ne parle pas anglais. Bref, je ne recommande vraiment pas.

• Danie (9/5): An affordable and welcoming business hotel - Second time I spend at this hotel and I enjoyed it this time again. The staff is very lovely and welcoming. The hotel in general is quite clean and I love their concept of trying to be eco where they can be with the amenities, the tidying of the rooms or even the water. Another nice touch is the possibility to pick our own pillow and it's a lifesaver for fragile necks like mine. More hotels should do that! I will definitely come back.
• Arvin555 (10/5): Cozy business hotel in Osaka city. - I stay in this hotel often, my last trip to Japan was before covid and stayed there, when I was allowed back in Japan for business trip again stayed there as well. It is very cozy, I find it very welcoming, when as soon as you enter the hotel your phone is connected to their wifi already, because of previews visits. :) Checkin is fast and easy, you get a small thermal paper print out which has your room number and pin code. I always take a picture of it, in case I lost the piece of paper. The rooms are almost always with a bunk bed over a good sized bed. Rooms are smallish but good enough for comfortable stay. Breakfast is always Japanese style, but there are some bread and eggs for foreigners who might like a more western breakfast. Buffet style and drinks are from a free soda fountain style vending machine. New system because of covid, is they provide plastic gloves and each tables have disinfectant alcohol. They also have a rebate system if you sign up with the hotel's points system, now they have an app for that as well. They have a coin operated laundry area in I think 2nd floor, you can borrow iron and board from front desk.
• Guidzi (10/5): Excellent - We had a warm welcome. Even though the staff speaks very little English, they have a little machine translator which is very convenient. They are very helpfull. The room was small but very clean with air conditionning.The bathroom was also very clean. Upon arrival they ask you to choose a pillow, give you a one size pyjama and offer you other little things. The wifi worked very well. The best was the breakfast. It's was a free buffet with yogourt, eggs, omelette, soup, fish and more ! The hotel is located in the business district.
• AKS168 (8/5): Great value - Accommodations in central Osaka are quite expensive, so I needed to find an affordable option that didn't involve sharing a bathroom or sleeping in a "capsule." I chose the Super Hotel Umeda-Higobashi for its price, but was pleasantly surprised by its value. Rooms are tiny by North American or even European standards, but typical for a Japanese business hotel. Despite its compact size, my room was very efficiently designed with a double bed, loft bed, desk, television and compact refrigerator. The hotel focuses on providing a good night's sleep and a good breakfast, and it delivers both. The beds and bedding are very comfortable (keep in mind that Asian mattresses are firmer than North American ones) and scrupulously clean. In addition to the wonderful gel pillows provided in each room, guests can choose an additional pillow from the lobby "pillow corner" in their choice of thickness, height and firmness. The hotel even lends pyjamas! The free breakfast is far superior to the free breakfasts supplied in most North American hotels at the same price point. Every day there was fish, hardboiled eggs, miso soup, rice, salad, stir-fry or pasta, bread/toast, mini croissants/Danishes and a variety of juices, coffee and tea. There is a laundry room on the second floor if you are staying long enough to need it (I did, and it was very convenient.) Free wi-fi connectivity was excellent. Staff are extremely polite and welcoming despite the language barrier. The hotel is located in the Higobashi district, within walking distance of Osaka City Hall and the National Museum of Art. It is a one-block walk from the Higobashi subway station (the #7 exit is closest) and an eight-block walk to the Honmachi station. Also within easy walking distance are small coffee shops, bars and restaurants serving authentic sushi, ramen and tempura. A 7-11 that never seems to close is right across the street and sells almost anything you might run out of, even dress shirts and ties! Some caveats: rooms are cleaned between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., and guests are not allowed in the rooms during that time unless they choose not to have their rooms cleaned. Also, the front desk is not manned during that time so if you happen to arrive then you will have to wait in the breakfast area until 3:00 p.m., as there is no seating in the lobby. The staff speak little to no English and all of the signage is in Japanese, which could be difficult for non-Japanese speaking guests should a problem arise. Fortunately, nothing went wrong with my stay. On my next trip to Japan, I would definitely choose a Super Hotel.
• Becky_BJ (8/5): Good price, good service and good location - The room is small but nice and clean. The reception staff was very friendly. On the first day of our arrival, the staff provided us the map for the city and circled all the tourist see sighting places with the proper routes. Also, they provided the member card when we checked in on the first day. We have stayed for 3 days and got 3 stamps, which let us received 1000 JPY later on for the cash back. The breakfast is included with quite a few choices. The location is really good and around 2 minutes to station. I will choose it again.
