• Алёна (10/5): - Чисто, уютно. Лёгкий завтрак включен. Очень красивый вид с террасы на крыше. В номере все есть, полотенца фен и даже одноразовые тапочки На каждого вода, есть чай, кофе и чайник Мы были в комнате в тремя кроватями рассчитанный на 4х человек. Места всем хватило) Вид из окна был на другой дом затянутый плющем, но за счёт этого звуков улицы,кроме разве громкого смеха чаек, особо не было слышно. Не смотря на то,что мы попали в праздничные дни было довольно спокойно Ребята очень приветливые, прекрасно говорят по русски, заботливые и участливые. За такую небольшую сумму это был лучший опыт Если учесть что это Стамбул и один из популярнейших районов города. Ещё у них очень вкусно готовят. Цены на еду кусаются,но обойдя все в округе мы поняли что у них одни из низких цен на блюда. Плюс постояльцам делают скидку и угощают чаем) Мы впервые были в Стамбуле, ничего не ожидали и попали наверное в лучшее из возможных мест Безумно благодарны ребятам за гостеприимство 🤍🤍🤍
• IYNEDJIAN (9/5): - L'emplacement, la bonne musique diffusée pendant le petit-déjeuner, le seul jeune homme du personnel avec lequel j'ai discuté parlait bien anglais et était très sympathique, la chambre était très jolie et très propre avec une fermeture de sécurité en plus de la serrure. Si je retourne un jour à Istanbul, je choisirai de nouveau cet hôtel sans hésiter et je ne comprends pas pourquoi certains avis sont si négatifs... Il manque un interrupteur près du lit pour éteindre au moment du coucher ce qui 'est quand même plus pratique. Le battant des toilettes ne tenait pas ouvert et ce n'était pas très commode. De plus, l'espace entre le lavabo et le WC est vraiment très exigu. Enfin, il manquait un support pour tenir la poire pendant la douche. Mais ce sont des détails faciles à améliorer...

• Polya (1/5): Extremely bad service! - The only good thing about this so-called hotel is its location! It is within walking distance from The Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia Church. I am very disappointed with my recent stay at this hotel as the overall service did not meet basic expectations. Unfortunately, this experience was stressful rather than relaxing. For the price paid, I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness, comfort, and professionalism. Room: The 'standard room' we were given was cramped and uncomfortable. Not to mention the bathroom—it was torture to use. When we arrived, the sink was clogged and unusable. After we asked the staff to take action, they sent the cleaning lady. Nothing happened, and then we had to wait hours for the maintenance man to come and fix it. Breakfast: A total disaster! The breakfast was extremely poor and definitely not enough for an adult. It was literally just 3 tiny slices of tomato and cucumber, a bit of cheese, a few olives, one box of jam and one box of butter, and an omelet that looked like it was made from half an egg... Honestly, it’s only enough food if you’re 4 or 5 years old. Parking: Тhe information provided during a reservation via Booking does not match reality. The parking is not "on-site", not guaranteed and not owned by the hotel. Actually, they are listing a public street parking as "free private parking" to attract guests, which is misleading. In our case, the staff did not allow us to park in front of the hotel because there would be no place for outside restaurant customers to park... I do not recommend Modena hotel and would not stay here again within my next visit to Istanbul!
• Kalli (7/5): - Ήταν στο κέντρο με τα πιο σημαντικά αξιοθεατα που θέλαμε να επισκεφθούμε. Επίσης πολύ κοντά το τραμ για τις μετακινήσεις μας. Ήταν αρκετα στριμωχτα στο δωματιο με 1 μεγάλο κρεβάτι που έπιανε όλο το χώρο κ δεν μπορούσες να περπατήσεις άνετα.

Gleiches gilt für Toilettenpapier und Handtücher. Insgesamt doch schon ziemlich abgewohnt das ganze Haus. Auch das Frühstück eher schlicht und alle Tage komplett identisch.

Рядом расположен магазин ковров, в котором есть небольшая Цистерна, вход в которую бесплатный, но требуется предварительная запись. Всего 5-10 минут до моря, где вас ждет прекрасная набережная для прогулок. Отличное соотношение цена-качество. Завтрак континентальный и очень вкусный. Хозяева гостеприимные и всегда готовы помочь, быстро решают все вопросы. Рекомендуем для комфортного отдыха!

The facilities were excellent, and the location was fantastic, as it’s right behind the Sultanahmet Mosque, close to the Bosphorus, and near various transportation options like the tram and metro. The staff were incredibly friendly, especially the owner, Fathi, who was always responsive and supportive whenever I needed anything. This left a really great impression on me. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an affordable, private, and well-located place to stay. And that’s it!

Когда я попыталась доказать, что он должен быть включён, деньги мне не вернули, и потом вообще перестали выходить на связь и начали избегать до самого отъезда! Не ходите туда! Внутри очень тесно, душевая в плохом состоянии, туалет кривой, крышка не открывается, лёдяной пластик постоянно касается спины — просто ужасно! Всё очень плохо! Фото были сделаны давно, когда это место было новым! Рядом с этим отелем есть много других хороших отелей — новые, с красивым фасадом и уютным интерьером, а завтраки у них отличные. Выбирайте лучше их!

• Pietro Maurizio (1/5): Camera angusta e indecente - La posizione vicina ai monumenti Al lato della scala d'ingresso all'hotel erano accatastati dispositivi e materiali per la pulizia, alcuni malamente allocati in vani, coperti da sportelli non chiusi. Gli scalini erano così poco profondi che si poteva poggiare solo la punta dei piedi. I profili della porta della camera 101 lasciavano filtrare la luce del disimpegno. La camera era angusta, appena in grado di ricevere un letto matrimoniale, e si avvertiva un forte e costante odore di creolina. Su un lato del letto non era possibile scendere per il poco spazio. Nessun lato era dotato di comodino, di prese elettriche, di luci di cortesia, o di pulsanti per lo spegnimento dell'unica luce centrale. Due prese, di cui una non funzionante, erano poste all'altezza di circa m 1,50, senza mensola per il loro utilizzo. Altre due prese erano poste sopra un tavolino contenente un bollitore, accanto un piccolo armadio guardaroba che si chiudeva in malo modo. Gli infissi erano a ridosso del letto. Un vetro era trafitto da un foro circolare, presumibilmente riconducibile a un proiettile. Le imposte esterne erano divelte. Su una parete c'era un foro da cui fuoriuscivano dei cavi. Il lavandino del bagno era minuscolo ed aveva la stessa profondità del mobiletto specchiera, posto poco sopra, per cui lo si poteva usare solo ponendo la testa sotto il mobiletto. Il porta carta igienica non era fissato e si muoveva continuamente. Il saliscendi della doccia era rotto. L'acqua usciva dal soffione con poca pressione. Il sistema di riscaldamento dell'acqua era palesemente insufficiente, poiché, in un caso, alle 8:20, l'acqua era tiepida, nell'altro completamente fredda. Il cavo del phone era ammalorato.

• Mustafa (9/5): Aangenaam goed gelegen hotel dichtbij de bezienswaardigheden, tegelijk gelegen in een rustig wijk - Locatie was perfect. De hotel lag aan een hoofdweg achter Sultan Ahmet en aya sofia op 5 min loopafstand. Grand Bazaar en tramhalte ook heel dichtbij. De hotelkamer was ruim genoeg voor gezin met 2 kinderen. Kamers waren mooi schoon. De hotel heeft geen lift maar onze koffers werden naar boven gebracht voor ons. We mochten later uitchecken omdat ons vlucht in de avond was. We kregen thee en baklava tijdens het wachten op de transfer. Manager Fatih was zeer aardig en gastvrij. Volgende keer kom ik terug Alles was goed.

• Irina Knott (1/5): - Nichts Das Personal spricht gar kein Englisch, die Dusche war gebrochen , es gab keine Decken bei extremer Kälte in der Nacht, nachts wurden im Gang Bauarbeiten durchgeführt und am Tag der Abreise ist Taxi nicht angetroffen, obwohl ich ein Tag davor bestellt und bezahlt habe !! Einmal und nie wieder !!

From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations — warm hospitality, clean and comfortable rooms, and a perfect atmosphere that made us feel at home. One of the highlights of our stay was the restaurant. The food was exceptional — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I want to give special thanks to Fateh, who went above and beyond in preparing some of the best meals we’ve ever had during a trip. His cooking truly made every dinner a memorable experience, combining both traditional Turkish flavors and a personal touch that showed his passion and talent. Overall, this hotel is a gem — not just for its great location and comfort, but especially for the amazing staff and dining experience. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Turkey, and I will definitely come back again. Nothing all was perfect
• Jamille Siqueira (8/5): Excelente localização - A localização é maravilhosa, o preço com o conforto oferecido foi um bom custo-benefício e os problemas que surgiram, foram solucionados. O endereço está errado no Google maps, me perdi 2 vezes, a primeira com mala foi realmente um transtorno. A coberta disponibilizada não era nem um pouco macia, dormi mal a primeira noite por isso. Depois que solicitei, providenciaram uma macia. O funcionário da manhã não sabia a taxa do café, escreveu no tradutor que era 5 a 7 euros e quando cheguei de noite estavam cobrando 16. Reclamei bastante e deixaram eu pagar os 7 euros anunciados. Só um funcionário falava inglês, a comunicação era difícil. Não é um hotel 3 estrelas, são quartos na parte de cima de um restaurante.
• Neus (6/5): Esmorzar tard però bona habitació. - El més positiu és la ubicació, molt cèntric. Habitació suficient per pocs dies, ja que es petita i amb alguns desperfectes. Personal agradable. L'esmorzar estava prou bé però a partir de les 9:30 com a mínim, havent d'esperar bastant algun dia. Crec que això ho haurien de notificar al fer la reserva ja que és tard.

• Cristina (8/5): Excelente ubicación - El hotel estaba ubicado a cuatro minutos andando de las mezquitas más importantes en pleno centro de Estambul. El dueño del hotel y el personal fueron súper amables y atentos en todo momento a nuestras necesidades. La habitación estaba muy bien para lo que necesitábamos que era simplemente dormir. Disponía de una pequeña nevera y aire acondicionado, lo cual no resultó muy útil en verano. Había algunos imperfectos en las habitaciones y algunas de las instalaciones estaban en mal estado como por ejemplo la ducha pero nada importante.

• Bogdan (10/5): choosing Modena Hotel was the best decision ever - I was in Istanbul for 5 days for work. So, I had no reason to spend a lot of money on accommodation. I chose Modena Hotel because of the price and location. But OH MY GOD, it was the best decision! It’s not a luxurious or fancy hotel (at this price range, what do you expect?), but it’s clean and you get everything you need (clean towels, very good Wi-Fi, comfortable beds). If you’re planning to visit Istanbul, you don’t need to spend a lot on accommodation if you’ll be out exploring all day. Of course, the location is great, you can visit many attractions just by walking. The restaurant is good (the food is delicious, the rooftop view is AMAZING, and they also have great shisha). All in all, everything was really good. BUT, there was one thing that made our trip unforgettable: the staff of the restaurant. They were incredibly friendly, very professional, extremely polite AND really funny. We had few long nights staying up late, smoking shisha and just talking with them. We laughed A LOT, even people from other tables in the restaurant joined us and we all had a great time. I hope they’re paid very well, because they truly deserve it. We’ll return to Modena Hotel every time we travel to Istanbul. I hope we’ll find the same energy there again.

• Mohammed (9/5): Superb - The staff was very helpful with everything we asked. The view of the bhospherus from the terrace was super. The location was perfect just a couple of minutes walk to the blue mosque. I really enjoyed staying here. Food was a bit on the pricey side.

• Abdellah (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location, just steps from the Blue Mosque and the Ayasofya Basilica. A hotel with delicious food and a magnificent terrace. A very pleasant team, especially Mr. Emre and Mr. Serdar, who were extremely kind and so helpful. The only problem was the taxi driver who was supposed to provide the shuttle from Sabiha Airport to the hotel. He was waiting for us 2 km from the airport and asked us to walk to him for 30 minutes with our luggage! This forced us to find another taxi.

• Tsamouxi (9/5): Best hotel for it's price. - The staff was great and they gave us discounts at their restaurant. The room was a decent size, but it could be a bit better. The location was also amazing, a 5 minute walk from Sultanahmet square. The room had a weird smell, neither bad nor good. The bathroom wasn't the most comfortable due to it's size, but it wasn't bad. The only problem is that it could have gotten cleaned better.

Not a hotel but a restaurant! - Nothing Our recent stay at Hotel Modena in Istanbul was nothing short of a nightmare, and it’s only right to warn others about this place. We arrived at 10 AM after a tiring five-hour drive and had pre-arranged an early check-in. To our surprise, we were told our rooms wouldn’t be ready until after 12. After wandering around to find lunch, we returned only to learn that, due to guests missing their flight, we had no available room. We were shocked and left in a desperate situation, as there were no other rooms to be found. In the end, we were told there was 1 room in Modena while our friends went to a neighboring hotel. The conditions at Modena were unacceptable. The room was so tiny that we could barely turn around, let alone open the door. The bed looked like a poorly constructed DIY project, made from old boards and a mattress that appeared to be from a dumpster. The headboard was unstable, with exposed screws, and behind the bed was a mess of broken wood and trash. The bathroom was another disaster. Although the shower seemed fine at first, an awful smell quickly developed, making it nearly impossible to breathe. We avoided using the bathroom entirely, fearing the smell would fill the room. Despite wanting to leave immediately, we had to endure one night in these conditions, feeling trapped after our long journey. The surrounding area was equally dismal; locals were rude and attempted to scam us at every turn. We also paid for parking outside, but were constantly asked to move our car for the restaurant’s outdoor seating, leaving us uneasy about its safety. This experience was beyond disappointing. I strongly urge Booking.com to remove this hotel from their listings to prevent others from suffering the same fate. Avoid Hotel Modena and this entire area—it was the worst part of our trip to Istanbul. Altogether I don’t think we would ever visit Istanbul again.
