• Paul (9/5): - Location and very affordable. Restaurant downstairs is good food and value with very personable wait staff. Bit on the small side but that was expected. View of Acropolis was only thru window in staircase to Upper floor.

• Birgit (9/5): Geschmackvolle Unterkunft in einem belebten, zentralen Viertel - Die Lage ist wirklich phänomenal, sehr zentral, wenige Minuten von Monasteraki. Das Haus ist ein altes Stadthaus, das Zimmer hat einen schönen alten Holzboden, ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, das Bad neu und auch sehr schön - alles mit viel Stil. Zwei kleine Balkone gab es auch mit direktem Blick auf die belebte Umgebung. Die Unterkunft gehört zu einem Restaurant, das Jugendstil Elemente hat und auch besonders ist. Sehr netter Empfang durch die Betreiber. Die Zimmertür hat eine Glasscheibe, die zwar durch kleine Rollos verhangen ist, aber in der Nacht dringt da trotzdem das Licht vom Gang durch.

• Sidsel (10/5): Rolig og fint sted veldig sentralt - Overnatting i et flott gammelt bygg i en rolig gate sammenlignet med tilstøtende gater. Overraskende stille om natten. Stort bad. Balkong med bord og stoler. Veldig sentralt og kort vei til t-bane.

• Love (8/5): - Room on the top terrace not as beautiful as room on 2nd floor. 2nd floor room (3) was lovely but views not the best. All in all exceptional location and 2nd floor room!
• Adriana (9/5): - Communication was always prompt and efficient and any issues were dealt with well. The location is superb. The room was always expertly cleaned daily with a daily change of towels. The fridge and kettle in the room were very welcome additions. It was lovely to have a small balcony space. There is no storage for clothing except a wardrobe. A chest of drawers would be a great addition especially for any guests staying more than one night. There is a church immediaelty adjacent to the property which rings its bells every hour from 7am -11 pm. This could be a big problem for light sleepers.

• Dick (7/5): Mooie locatie, dicht bij de Agora en metro, je wordt wel elke dag vroeg gewekt door de kerkklokken - Mooie locatie, op een steenworp afstand van de Agora en dichtbij de metro. Wel vervelend dat je elke dag om 7.00 uur (6.00 uur Nederlandse tijd) wakker wordt van de luide kerkklokken die direct naast het hotel staan.

• Roberta (7/5): Buono - Buona posizione centrale nella zona di monastiraki e vicino alla stazione. Molto gentili nel farci fare check-in prima dato che la stanza era già libera. Stanza e bagno carini, ristorante al di sotto merita molto sia per cibo che per location, c'era anche musica tipica dal vivo. Campana che suonava continuamente (fortunatamente dalle 23 in poi smetteva), difficile comunicare con lo staff, ogni volta che uscivamo o tornavamo non trovavamo nessuno al ché abbiamo contattato per mezzo di booking per aver info sul checkout e perché avremmo voluto altri due cuscini, ma nessuno ci ha risposto

The on-site restaurant serves delicious Greek dishes with excellent service. I wish our schedule allowed us to stay longer.

• Karen (8/5): Hatten einen super Aufenthalt :) - Tolle Lage, viele Restaurants in der Nähe, guter Startpunkt, um die Stadt zu entdecken. Im März war es sehr kalt im Zimmer, dke AC hat nicht geholfen. Außerdem ist die Kirche direkt nebenan, die viel und laut klingelt.

Clock tower super loud next door. - The rooms were fine but not as nice or historic as they looked in the photographs Our rooms were on the roof up a crazy narrow metal spiral staircase! My father is 80 and had dreadful trouble and my mum was terrified of them. We complained but there was no apology they just said 'we told you there were stairs'. These were no normal stairs!!! Beware if you have any balance or mobility issues.

(10/5): - Les vieilles pierres, la décoration intérieure, le coup d’oeil sur l’Acropole depuis le balcon et surtout la tranquillite absolue de cette chambre pourtant située au coeur du quartier très touristique de Monastiraki. Le restaurant jouxtant l'appartement propose un concert de musique traditionnelle grecque les vendredi, samedi et dimanche. A ne pas manquer les offices liturgiques de l'église de Saint Philippe à deux pas. C'est la troisième fois en dix ans que je loue cet appart. Pour les taxis, donner rendez-vous au chauffeur sur la petite place jouxtant l'appartement et le restaurant. JPhC.

• helen (8/5): Fantastic location and full of character - Amazing location and lovely having a rooftop terrace. Right in the heart of things, no traffic noise all just for pedestrians. Lovely old Building surrounded by sites sounds and smells of ancient Athens. Small room but nice and historic, everything you could possibly want for a short stay, very clean ..great location I said before easy to get into as it’s linked with the Resteront downstairs.

Vooral de locatie was echt perfect! Mijn favoriete stukje van de stad, met mooie uitzichten, leuke restaurantjes en genoeg schattige winkeltjes .

• Alejandra (7/5): Great location, peek-a-boo acropolis view - The location was great, the terrace was nice, we had a view from our bedroom window that was cute. They stored our bags the day we checked out so we could sight see before leaving for the airport, the restaurant staff are very nice, they had live music and the food is was good which gives it more points for location. We were in the third floor so no noise reached us. The room was tight! There was really no room for 2 adults to have their backpacks and closed organized, the place would benefit of having some hangers behind the door. From the booking platform I was not sure what room I was really booking, so I booked a higher price tier balcony room which are actually a third floor room terrace with an average view, the only view of the acropolis is through the window in the room but the bed does not face it. So, the double rooms are on the second floor and have the stone wall the balcony rooms are actually a terrace and are in the third floor and past a spiral stair case that looks like it is out of code. Those rooms have beds with empty frames above them, maybe this info helps you choose your room!

• Gerda (7/5): - Zentrale Lage in Monastiraki in der Nähe zu Metro, Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants. WiFi funktionierte gut. Man kann auf dem Balkon bei Sonnenschein Kaffee trinken. Die Unterkunft liegt in einer sehr belebten Fußgängerzone mit Restaurants und einer Kirche unmittelbar davor. Mich hat der Lärm aber nicht gestört. Die Unterkunft antwortete 4 Tage lang nicht auf Anfragen, ich dachte schon, es gäbe sie nicht. Die zuständige Person war wohl nicht anwesend. Am Tag meiner Anreise bekam ich Informationen dann sehr schnell. Es war nachts sehr kalt und die Heizung (über die Klimaanlage) funktionierte schlecht. Das Gefrierfach war sogar außen herum vereist und drinnen klebten Essensreste. Internationale Kanäle über die Zimmerantenne einzustellen empfand ich eher als Glückssache.

• Katja (9/5): outstanding - perfectly located, very clean and comfortable - perfectly located in a pedestrial zone, just opposite the acient Agora. A two min walk from Metro Monastiraki or Thissio or 15 min walk from Akropolis. Loads of restaurants nearby. Very cute and clean room, perfectly sized. My room 3 with balcony to the back yard to enjoy morning sun with Akropolis view, very calm - no street or tourists noise (unless there is live music evening on friday and saturday in the restaurant below). very friendly people. Bed very comfortable. nothing really to complain
• Klaudia (10/5): Entzückende Unterkunft, empfehlenswert !! - Sehr empfehlenswert wenn man einen Kurzurlaub in Athen plant. Sehr gute Lage in Nähe der U-Bahnstation, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und direkter Blick zur Akropolis. Das Zimmer ganz oben war entzückend, erreichbar durch eine Wendeltreppe aber es lohnt sich, sehr schöner Ausblick. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend. Zu empfehlen ist auch das Lokal gleich unten im Haus. Alle sehr freundlich, dass Essen sehr gut. Unser Aufenthalt war drei Nächte und wir waren jeden Abend dort essen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

• Marika (10/5): Bellissima struttura nel quartiere Monastiraki - Piccola, Molto curata, centralissima, ottimamente collegata con l’aereporto tramite la metro (€9 biglietto sola andata). Sotto l’albergo c’è il ristorante Omorfi Poli (stessa gestione dell’albergo). Sia il venerdì che il sabato , abbiamo avuto il piacere di ascoltare dal balcone nella stanza, musica greca dal vivo. Accanto alla struttura c’è anche un deposito (a pagamento) per zaini e valigie in caso di volo serale. A me non ha dato fastidio, ma c’è una chiesa proprio di fronte alla struttura e le campane suonano a partire dalle 7 la mattina.

• Neil (10/5): Our first choice for Athens accommodation - Second time staying at Beautiful City Suites and it was just as good as the first time. Room is not large but the terrace outside the rooftop rooms means that we spent more time outside than in. Bed is comfy and the shower works well. Many choices for good food nearby, especially the restaurant on the ground floor of the building.

• Anna (8/5): Ubicació i tracte execl.lent - L’allotjament està situat als peus de l’acropolis i la veiem des de l’habitació. L’ubicació és molt cèntrica i el personal es molt amable. Estas a prop del metro i de punts neuràlgics.
• Karen (8/5): The room was small but adequate for two nights, it was very clean and the hosts were very welcoming. - The property was in an excellent location very close to the Acropolis and the main hub of Monistiraki. It was very clean and serviced daily. There was a lovely taverna underneath the suites and the food and staff here was excellent. We were placed in a room at the very top of the building which meant negotiating a very steep spiral staircase which we weren’t made aware of on booking. The host explained that as we had booked a room with a view this was a rooftop room. As spiral staircases are my phobia I wouldn’t have booked a room with a view had I known this. Having checked the details of the Suites there is no mention or warning of the steep staircase.

Ylimpään kerrokseen johtavat jyrkät kierreportaat olivat sateella liukkaat. Asunnon viileys talvikaudella, ilmalämpöpumppu oli, muttei toiminut kunnolla.

• Ziga (8/5): An overall pleasant stay, would visit again - Good location with a nice view (can't beat seeing the Acropolis from your room in the morning). Great access to public transport. Staff very friendly and a pleasure to deal with. Mosquitos were an annoyance, thankfully improved somewhat with the provided mosquito repellent device.

• Kevin Smith (7/5): Lovely location, a little quirky, but in a good way. - Location is excellent!! Walkable to all main sites. There is a church very close and church bells ring from 7 am. If you are an early riser, no worries. We, unfortunately have been working nights, so a little disappointed to be woken so early while there, but able to doze between. 7 bells at 7, 1 at 7:30, 8 at eight, 1 at 8:30, etc.

• Lei Im (9/5): - Warm staff and quaint building. Restaurant is just downstairs. Walking distance to most attractions like Roman Agora, Plaka, Anafiotika, Monastiraki Square and Acropolis. Restaurants are nearby.
• Daniela (8/5): - Posizione eccezionale, vicino all' antica Agorà. Puoi raggiungere a piedi le attrazioni più importanti. Situato in una zona molto turistica con tantissimi locali vicini in cui mangiare e tantissimi negozi. È una struttura con soffitti alti e parquet come pavimento. Ristrutturata e pulita. La porta della stanza di accesso alla camera è una porta normale vetrata che non insonorizza. I locali sottostanti chiudono tardi alla sera e quindi si sentono i rumori.

• cathysA633FY (8/5): Great guest rooms in fabulous location in historic centre of Athens. - Really lovely family owned guest rooms in the middle of the flea markets in Athens. The room was tastefully and creatively furnished with everything you could want. Air conditioned and cute little balcony. Popular restaurant downstairs. Excellent location next to Greek ruins, multiple restaurants and tramline. Friendly and helpful staff. Good value. Only problem was trying to find it. Need to access on foot. Better signage would help.

• Jacques (9/5): - Amazing location! Few away from an Acropolis view. Many restaurants around. Beautiful rooms,smart TV,refrigerator, everything we needed. Place could do with an elevator,but it's nothing major.
• Patrick (5/5): - The proximity to all the historic sites and the Plaka market. This establishment is a very busy restaurant first with a couple of rooms on upper floor. Even with ear plugs, you cannot rest or fall asleep until the restaurant closes. We did not feel very respected during our stay. For example, there is a band that plays in the restaurant every night, we reseved a table close to the stage. After we placed our order, we were asked to move away from the stage, to accomodate a walk-in group of customers.

Excellent restaurants within a few metres. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Good restaurant on site. Well serviced. Welcoming communication after booking. A few cushions for bed head are needed. Difficult to locate. Taxi driver had no idea and you have to walk 300 metres from road. Not signposted but friendly locals helped. No English TV. Above restaurant so noisy until closing. But not an issue.
• Adrián (8/5): Repetiría - Ubicación inmejorable a un paso del Ágora. Estaba limpio. Está en una calle peatonal por lo que no se puede acceder en coche. No hay ascensor (comprensible al ser edificio antiguo muy bien ubicada pero si llevas maletas pesadas...)
• Deirdre (7/5): Excellent location for sightseeing, right beside the Agora the Acropolis and the Metro - No breakfast Stayed two nights. On our first night we were given a room at the top of the building (3 floor) which involved climbing a spiral staircase - not easy for 70 year olds! I’m happy to say that when we asked for a change of room they obliged us with a very nice room on the second floor.

• Sophia (10/5): Clean , simple , beautiful stay right in the centre with a great restaurant downstairs - Location was fantastic and the guys running the restaurant connected to the property were awesome , really helpful and lovely! The room was super clean and had everything, everyday the room was made up and cleaned thoroughly. The view of the acropolis from the terrace was wonderful and the food in the restaurant was 10/10! We loved the place , simple and perfect for our city break, we will definitely be back! Nothing
