We arrived around noon on the day of check-in and originally planned to leave our luggage first, but the front desk staff kindly prepared a room for us immediately so we could check in early, which was greatly appreciated. We booked a room with two double beds, and the room size was very spacious. Even with three large suitcases fully opened, there was still plenty of space to walk around comfortably. The bathroom layout was also very nice, with a separate shower area, bathtub, and a private toilet room. One of the highlights of the room was the floor-to-ceiling windows offering a beautiful city view, which made the stay feel even more enjoyable.. The only downside was that our room was located close to the elevators. We could hear the sound of the high-speed elevators throughout the day and night, which unfortunately had a noticeable impact on sleep quality.

Simon assisted us with check out and was extremely helpful. The furniture was a little bit scratched but that would not deter me from staying again.

- Bryan (2/5): Very unsatisfied. - Good location. Clean. Wifi was unusable. Multiple devices, multiple attempts in multiple areas of the hotel. No connection. Also, our room had no AC. It wasn't coming on at all. It was late, but I called the front desk. No answer. So I went down the elevator. The front desk person kindly offered to send up an engineer. About an hour later, at 11:30 ish PM, an engineer knocked, and we let him in. He looked at our thermostat, said he would go "upstairs and turn on the cold." 20 min later, the A/C finally kicked on. However, after about 5 minutes of cool air, it stopped again and we were back at square one. The engineer never returned. Some time later my wife went down to ask for a fan. In that huge hotel, there wasn't one single fan to be given to a guest without AC. It was a long night. Bad form, Hyatt.

- MariuszMM (10/5): Comfortable Airport Stay with Excellent Service and Free Shuttle - We stayed at a very nice hotel near Los Angeles Airport, and it was a great choice for our trip. The hotel offers a free 24-hour shuttle service, which made getting to and from the airport very easy and stress-free. Our room was spacious, clean, and had a very comfortable bed, perfect for resting after a long flight. The breakfast was excellent, with good coffee and fresh water always available throughout the day. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They kindly stored our luggage after checkout since we had a late flight and wanted to explore Los Angeles a bit more, which we really appreciated. Overall, a very comfortable and convenient stay — highly recommended for anyone traveling through LAX. N/A

- Judith (10/5): Nice hotel - Fabulous hotel very convenient, so close to LAX you could walk to the airport, it is next door to the Sheraton Gateway and the Sonesta it’s squeezed right in the middle of this cluster of hotels . In the lobby is a restaurant that has great food we had the famous short ribs cooked slow for 6 hours “the menu said”with mash potatoes..was really tasty and we were tied and hungry after a long flight .. best part was the airport shuttle that picks you up in the ally runs every 30 minutes ..also there is a sort of convenience store in the alley behind the hotel , 2 minute walk ..safe area , nice hotel and staff ..Carol at the front desk and Simon were super friendly and helpful . No complaints

Lack of clarity through Booking.com in regard to arrival times, loss of the room due to night staff giving it away due to no show. The room was paid for the cover the early arrival. Enormous windows with view of airport was fun — we could see planes landing and taking off. The $100 per day deposit was excessive. Wish that the expensive minibar drinks didn’t take-up 70% of the fridge.

At the time of my stay they did not have a permit for their driveway which was blocked off making it difficult to arrive.

Breakfast was great!! - The air conditioning was really loud and cycled off and on all night, making it hard to sleep at times. - There’s a sign directing guests to the airport shuttle near the lobby, but once outside, you have no idea where to go, as there’s no further signage. A sign indicating where to wait for the shuttle would be nice, along with a bench or something? My friend had surgery on her foot recently and she didn’t appreciate having to stand the whole time. Otherwise, we were very pleased with our state.

- Richard (8/5): My LAX home from home (for now) - I must have stayed at most of the hotels on Century over the years, and this recently converted office building has become my number one choice for LAX travel. Location is great; the hotel is easily accessible from Airport Center parking via the bottom floor of the parking structure to the left of elevators through a gap in the wall (but make sure you reserve parking separately for a better price) access to LAX via 3 adjacent airport shuttles, decent rooms with 6 elevators serving them and good value breakfast. No frills but does the job nicely. It’s happened twice in 2 months with different rooms. They allocate me a room, I go up to the room with all my luggage and it only has sheer curtains not black out curtains. I have to take all my luggage back down to reception to get another room. And then take all my luggage up to the new room. WTF? Does the left hand not know what the right hand is doing, or is maintenance not doing their job? Very strange. They were apologetic and did give me a discount the second time it happened. The rooms where it happened had bathtubs, so if you’re allocated a room with a bathtub, you might want to ask them if the room actually has blackout curtains before you take your luggage up to it. Also seems to have got significantly more expensive in Feb than it was in Jan. Will monitor this, and it might affect my future choices. Also it’s very confusing, and it only became clear on my third visit. It’s one building, but it’s marketed as two different hotels within it, with two different websites. Hyatt House is more expensive and has suites with small kitchens and includes breakfast. Had a lovely suite on my second visit. Hyatt Place is cheaper with smaller rooms with no kitchens and doesn’t include breakfast. You definitely want to check out the two different websites and their prices and decide which you want. I would go for Hyatt House if the price differential is not too much.
