• Leonidas (7/5): Έμεινα στο κατάλυμα για επαγγελματικούς λόγους και γενικά η διαμονή ήταν ικανοποιητική. - Η τοποθεσία είναι καλή, ανάλογα με τις δουλειές που έχει κάποιος στην περιοχή. Ο χώρος ήταν πολύ καθαρός και το προσωπικό πάντα ευγενικό και με χαμόγελο. Το δωμάτιο είναι άνετο και διαθέτει χώρο ώστε να μπορεί κάποιος να δουλέψει άνετα με τον υπολογιστή του. Στα αρνητικά, το πρωινό ήταν αρκετά απλό και περιορισμένο. Στο μπάνιο υπήρχε ένας ανεμιστήρας που δεν μπορούσε να κλείσει, με αποτέλεσμα να λειτουργεί συνεχώς και να δημιουργεί θόρυβο. Επίσης, η μπαλκονόπορτα δεν είχε καλή μόνωση, με αποτέλεσμα να ακούγεται αρκετός θόρυβος από έξω.

• Ahmed (1/5): - Be careful with the Unexpected charges at check in, the reception staff said that the room rate was incorrectly advertised by booking.com, and charged me an additional amount. They advised me to contact booking.com for a refund. booking.com is now refusing to refund my money saying that the hotel advised them that the charge was for a requested service, even though I provided the invoice from the hotel showing no additional services was requested. WIFI never worked in the room, the hotel staff were unable to do anything about it.

• margarita (6/5): Οι παροχές του δεν δικαιολογούν την τιμή. - Τοποθεσία κ Πάρκιγκ Δεν έχει ηχομόνωση η μπαλκονόπορτα. Δεν έχει κουρτίνα σκίασης αλλά μόνο μια απλή κουρτίνα που δεν εμποδίζει το φως. Το ανεμιστηρακι του μπάνιου έκανε θόρυβο όταν λειτουργούσε ή δεν λειτουργούσε. Στο μπάνιο είχε μόνο δύο μπουκαλάκια σαμπουάν κ τη δεύτερη μέρα άφησαν μόνο ένα μπουκαλάκι αφρόλουτρο.

• Christy (8/5): We are staying again in 2 weeks so hopefully get the bigger room - This is the third stay in a week due to making it our central location. To be fair it is great for us. Every time we have stayed we have had different rooms. This room we had was very small.

• Hayley (2/5): - So, where do I begin. First off, believe all the reviews about the owner! Don’t make our mistake thinking we’ll just stay out of his way. My partner and I booked this hotel via Expedia (6 nights end of September 2025). We arrived at 10.30pm to be told by the receptionist that we had to pay 60€, on top of the 30€ local tax (which is the only charge we were expecting to pay on arrival). They claimed Expedia did not charge us enough for the room. We attempted to dispute this, saying that is between you and Expedia, not us, as we had already paid in full to Expedia the quoted room price. The owner (old man) was there yelling at us and the receptionist (in Greek so not known what was being said). We asked what happens if we do not pay, and it was stated forthright, you will not be checked in. It was late, we were tired, so we reluctantly paid, as they were just not budging or being fair to their guests. Even if you have no direct encounter with the owner, you will hear him in the middle of the night. We were awoken several times during our stay from hearing him down at reception yelling at either guests or staff (I assume) even at 2am in the morning. The TV in the reception is often on at an extremely loud volume. I asked the receptionist if she could turn it down, and she said she was not allowed. I wish I never booked my stay here!!
• Diego (1/5): No recomiendo el hotel. - A mí llegada me comentó el recepcionista que el precio estaba mal y que tenía que pagar diez euros más por noche. Al igual que a mí se lo dijeron a otros turistas. Lo pago y le pregunto al recepcionista, que a qué se debe el importe. Me comenta que es cosa del manager. Que es una tasa. Le pido que me diga a qué hace referencia, me comenta q es porq la habitación es superior a la reserva, le comento que no. Que es igual a la reservada. Me comenta después que es por el desayuno, le digo que no he contratado desayuno. Entonces me dice que es cosa del manager porq es temporada alta. Vergonzoso. El cambio de precio , no es recomendable este manager. Además de a mí , nos subió el precio a otros turistas.

• Christopher (2/5): - Checked in and had to pay additional 45 euro fee due to internal issue with expedia. Sheets smell like cigarettes. Second evening door key didnt work. Waitied at front desk while hotel staff were in a heated argument for 5 minutes. Room on second floor, could hear them yelling till 11:30pm. Checked out a day early to go elsewhere. Definitely avoid.

• angela (3/5): - The room was modern and chic. It's near the Acropolis and flea Market so good location for them. Near a fab Greek restaurant which was a 5 minute walk called Mironi. We were parking the car, and the owner/manager started shouting at us, saying we couldn't park there. There is free parking provided. He realised that we were checking in and spent the next day apologising. Once in the building and checking in, he was shouting at the receptionist and the other employee so we sat and waited until they'd finished arguing! Te hotel smells of cigarette smoke as he uses an area near reception and was smoking each time we saw him. There was no hot water the first night and the air con is set at 26 so the room was hot. We didn't feel comfortable walking around the area and it a bit hairy driving to the Acropolis.
• Jeroen (8/5): Heerlijke vakantie gehad en vanuit deze locatie is het goed de stad verkennen. - Het personeel was super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Alle attracties binnen een half uur lopen. Goede Uber diensten in Athene. Paar kleine dingetjes. Kamer schoonmaken ging een dag fout en dus ook geen handdoeken. Dit kon de volgende dag pas worden opgelost.

• Julis (7/5): Affordable, convenient location with everything you need. Helpful staff. - Ample, spacious apartments. Attentive staff that do plenty, despite resource limitations. Subway station nearby. Neighborhood eateries (not tourist traps) and mini-marts nearby. Fine dining within walking distance. Laundry right next door (not self-service, but reasonably priced). Small, claustrophobic elevators. Limited breakfast. Water pressure on showers and temperature on the lower side. Finicky air -conditioning...have front desk staff program it for you. Neighborhood area, at night, is full of potheads and derelicts (though I did not feel any sense of trouble).

• Tiago (4/5): - Extremely bad smoking smell all over the hotel. Despite EU regulations that explicitly ban smoking indoors, there were people constantly smoking at the reception / breakfast area. The smells would even come from the ventilation in the room.

Sometimes , after travelling for 16 hrs , u just want to eat and go to bed. The AC does not work, the room is like a chimney. So hot in back rooms , look at view !!! Hotel empty , they could easily of moved us , or offered an upgrade. I imagine the room on board ship will be bigger.. Pay €90 , u get €90...I assume they will say... Check out your room before taking luggage upstairs

• Rashed (3/5): I don’t recommend it. - The location if fine. You have coffee shops, restaurants and laundry seconds away. The down sides are the owner of the hotel yells the whole time even late night we I couldn’t sleep even though i was in second floor. And the sound isolation is bad because i hear the cars like im sitting in the middle of the roundabout. The hotel is non smoking but the owner smokes inside the hotel all the time and the smell of the cigarette gets inside the rooms .. i got sick because of it. Regarding the facilities the turned of the air conditioning the second day at our stay and said the technician will come tomorrow and fix it but he never showed up. We stayed 6 nights there and I figured out the ac was fine but they turned it off. They only turn on heaters in the middle of the night while your a sleep. Same thing happened with wifi, the technician never showed up again.
• Nevena (4/5): We loved Athens and will go back but this hotel will never be our choice again. - The metro station was on the same square as the hotel Very basic, always the same, a boiled egg, a toast, peace of cheapest yellow cheese, marmalade and honey The cafe was closed, even though the owner was always there. The owner never stopped shouting at different employees, to a point when the breakfast lady left her job in from of us guests. The internet wasn't working for the last two days of our stay. The room is inhumanly small for two adult people. Our balcony view was at the next building wall, like 2 meters away.

• Gary (5/5): Disappointed due to above as the hotel was fundamentally a good place. - The room in the hotel was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable. The location was central which was convenient. The receptionist smoked considerably and the smell of cigarettes was strong through the hotel. An ash tray was left at the bottom of the corridor by the lift (I have a photo) and the smell escalated and affected my chest and prompted coughing. I felt very unhealthy in the hotel which made me want to leave. I paid for a double bed but was given twin beds (see photo). The air conditioning did not work and had to be followed up, but this was resolved. I would like to seek a refund for the above and as I understand it, it is illegal to smoke within hotels.

Good for money value The owner of the hotel stays on the ground floor all day and speak ao loud that you can hear on the third floor and the amount he smokes that the smoke gets to the higher floor

The shower sprayed all over the floor. Breakfast was lacking in essentials for two mornings, breakfast tea and butter. Not in a good location, very run down around the hotel.

• Maria (5/5): In all, I would not stay at this hotel again. - The hotel room was nice and modern. The windows in the room are very thin and let in lots of noise from the busy roundabout and streets. Light sleepers be advised. Also, the breakfast was very limited in choice, not much in terms of hot food wash down with filtered coffee. For the banana lovers, no chance. The location is not the best and even considered the worst. Lots of drugs addicts and homeless people made it difficult for us to return late to the hotel. Finally, the worst was the owner of the hotel that yelled at its staff with no same and smoke in the lobby as if it was allowed.

The breakfast is poor ,the economy room which we reserved is not shown in the website pictures ,the internet connection was bad ,probably bc we were at the end of the corridor, the tv had netflix but due to bad connection we couldn't use it

You don't need breakfast options in this hotel, enjoy your morning coffee in one of those places around! Bed was comfortable, indeed. Devices, tiles etc. were modern. My balcony was big enough. The promise of "included parking" is misleading. The hotel has very few parking lots near the main entrance at the side of the narrow street, indeed, but you can't really rely on getting one. They are blocked by bollard-like barriers, so you have to jump inside to reception first before staff removes these barriers for you, and this procedure can be very inconvenient given the busy traffic in the very narrow street where impatient drivers wait behind you and want you go on driving. Even more annoying was the procedure regarding the air conditioners. The temperature and the van are controlled (for "technical" reasons) centralised by the reception for each single room and you have to call the staff if you want a higher or lower temperatures or adjust your van speed. At least for me, after I had insisted, they "unlocked" the air conditioner for my room and gave me full control over it for the rest of the night. An unfriendly behaving old man had negative influence all the time on the atmosphere in the reception area.

• Sabrina (4/5): Bad experience - Our 4-nights stay in Meni Hotel has been definitely bad! We booked a taxi via e-mail and the driver was not there at the airport as promised The ventilation in our bathroom couldn’t be switched off, we reported the issue to 3 different people at the reception but nobody seemed interested to solve it for us. The noise all night long was annoying during 4 nights. Breakfast was the worst one we ever had in our life: filter-coffee in a thermos, seemed to drink brown water, there was only cold milk available. Fruits were standing there for 4 days turning brown at the end, orange juice was like vitamin tabs melted in water. Breakfast served only starting from 8.15, it’s too late if you have visits planned in the morning. Cleaning it’s another topic: towels smelling bad, hairs in the floor for days… Last but not least an old man part of the staff is always shouting in the hall and in the stairs early in the morning, no need to have an alarm… The only good thing ? Our beds were very comfortables. The localisation near the metro station is ok but the surroundings are populated by zombies using drugs in the night. We regret this hotel choice but luckily we spent a great time in Athens.

• Rosario (2/5): Bad experience. Hotel not as it looks - Unfortunately I did not like much about this hotel. The room was clean so was the bathroom The location of the hotel isn't great. There were lots of junkies around. The owner and staff were very rude and unfriendly. Their breakfast was not even breakfast it was horrible. Barely have any options. Their orange juice was not orange juice but colourant. My overall experience here was terrible. Thank God I only spent 1 night. I would definitely not be staying here again and won't recommend it to anyone else. You can book this hotel at your own risk

El único aspecto a mejorar es que se siente mucho ruido del exterior, además que mi habitación daba hacia una calle muy transitada y se sentía mucho el ruido de los carros, pero no me impidió el descanso. Es una muy buena opción ya que está cerca de estación de metro que te da muy buena movilidad hacia el resto de la ciudad y el desayuno también estuvo muy bueno y a un precio justo.

• Ahmed (5/5): Passable - We stayed at Meni Hotel for five days. Prior to our stay, I contacted the hotel to confirm if it was wheelchair accessible, and they assured me it was. However, upon arrival, we found the hotel was not very comfortable for a wheelchair user. The elevator was quite narrow, and we needed assistance every time we went out because one area lacked proper ramps. Additionally, the bathroom was very small and did not have a bath chair for accessibility. On a positive note, the staff were extremely helpful and kind throughout our stay.

• Ali (6/5): The hotel did not meet our expectations. - Upon our arrival, the receptionist warmly greeted us with a smile. However, the presence of two men and a lady engaged in a heated argument and smoking in the common area made us feel uneasy, especially as non-smokers. The lingering smell of smoke was quite unpleasant. To our surprise, upon returning to our room after a day out, we discovered that no housekeeping had been carried out during our entire stay. Despite being there for three nights, we did not receive fresh towels, the bed linens were unchanged, and the bin remained untouched for three days. This lack of cleanliness is unacceptable for a hotel that prides itself on being three stars. The hotel boasts of coffee and tea facilities in both the common area and rooms, yet we found none during our stay. This oversight is unacceptable. If we return to Athens, we will not be choosing to stay at this hotel again.

The smell of cigarette smoke was strong on arrival and could be smelt in our room. The owner did not speak English and had someone to translate for us during the negotiations of the refund.

• Benoit (6/5): Nice hotel, Although wouldn’t stay here again.. - Room was super clean, well maintained The Reception Staff & cleaners were friendly Beautiful Laundry shop next door with the most lovely ladies working, if you need laundry done I highly recommend you go there, incredible value for money and impeccable service We were asked to pay extra when we arrived because the owner wasn’t happy with what booking.com charged us, so it was either that or we had nowhere to sleep, so that already left a bad taste in our mouths, be very cautious of that Owner is exactly how the other reviews describe him, sits in his own area down stairs, smokes so the hotel smells of cigarettes, doesn’t say a word or acknowledge you Area is very rough, I wouldn’t recommend families stay in this area, where the hotel is located you are fine, just don’t go down any back streets at night My Athens suggestion is stay 1 night at a hotel and do the main site seeing, then go stay on a beautiful island and you’ll have an amazing time
• Richard (10/5): Best location for money - I think the most important thing that I like about the property is it’s located to very good location quite convenient close to the underground and other bars and everything so I think it’s the location perfect location for any traveller for the first time What I didn’t really like was the breakfast it was just too simple but I understand one can only get what they offer for €8 so the price is not really much so but yeah for me it was just quite simple simple so I hope they can improve and have something like eggs omelette a lot more choices

Breakfast is clearly included, which specified on my booking page, the owner told me I will have to pay. 3. !!!!!!!!!!!! Someone opened our door in the morning without knocking!!!!! We are just standing there , looking at each other, it was scary af!!!!!!! Even tho it’s their staff, no apologies, she just close the door and left!
