• Samara (7/5): A Difficult Arrival but a Positive Stay Overall - The room itself was clean, comfortable, and practical for our stay. The location is excellent — close to Sensō-ji, shopping streets, restaurants, convenience stores, and transport links. During the Sanja Matsuri festival period, the area was especially vibrant and we were even able to watch parts of the procession from our room overlooking the street. What really helped restore the experience was the kindness of the daytime staff afterwards. They were consistently helpful, friendly, and thoughtful throughout the rest of our stay, even helping me arrange a Japanese medical assistance tag and assisting with transport information and taxis. Overall, I would stay here again because the location and staff during the daytime were genuinely very good. However, I would strongly advise future guests to be cautious with late-night arrivals, as the hotel’s late check-in system caused us a very stressful experience despite our arrival time being clearly communicated in advance. Our stay at Sakura Edo no Mai Asakusa began very stressfully but improved significantly afterwards, so I want to leave a balanced review for future travellers. We arrived in Tokyo after an extremely long international journey from London via Hong Kong (close to 18 hrs) and had communicated our late arrival time to the hotel multiple times in advance, as requested by them. Unfortunately, when we arrived around 10:45pm after an expensive airport taxi journey, there was nobody at reception despite the hotel accepting our late check-in. We spent nearly 2.5 hours trying to contact staff using the QR code and phone number provided, but nobody answered. As someone travelling with a disability involving chronic pain and fatigue, this was incredibly distressing after such a long journey, especially while travelling with my daughter late at night in a country we were unfamiliar with. Eventually, a staff member arrived and was genuinely apologetic. Thankfully, after this difficult start, the remainder of our stay was much better.

The location was fantastic and extremely close to Asakusa neighbourhood which helped with itinerary planning. Only thing would be great if it had a Takkyubin (宅急便) service, although the family mart across the street was able to do it so no real issues there.

• Julie (10/5): - Schrijven We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is ideal, especially when traveling with a family of four. Everything was easily accessible, and the metro is within walking distance, making it very easy to get around the city. The room was clean and well-maintained, which is very important to us. There is also a Familymart right across the hotel, which was very convenient for quick groceries. Another big plus was that the hotel has a washing machine available, staff was very helpfull and nice. Overall, a comfortable and practical place to stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Buses aren't very frequent and it's a 10 to 15 min walk to Asakusa or iraya station. Not really a problem though as they are on the main road.

• Elena (7/5): - stanza molto più grande rispetto alle strutture in giappone doccia ampia letti ampi e comodi ci sono tutti i kit di cortesia disponibili ( a parte il pigiama che invece in giappone lo danno spesso ) purtroppo la posizione, mi sono fidata di chi diceva nelle recensioni che non era poi così scomodo ma non è vero. non è per niente una zona servita per stare in giappone, la metro più vicina è a 20 minuti a piedi, che insomma sono pesanti dopo una giornata fuori a fare 25 mila passi. idem gli autobus: non passano proprio ogni 5 minuti. quindi nonostante la zona sia carinissima, non rialloggerei per la questione di scomodità negli spostamenti. e poi la tazza non messa in una stanza apparta ma sul lavandino. scomodo se si è in due e uno vuole usare solo il wc.

• Frances (9/5): Lovely hotel conveniently located for visiting attractions in Tokyo - The hotel room was spotless and expecting smaller rooms, it was laid out very efficiently and was fine for the 2 of us. The hottel was within walking distance of a number of the attractions we wanted to see so it was easy getting around and there was a convenience store across the road which was open 24/7 if anything was needed.

Personeel was vriendelijk en alles was heel schoon. We hebben ons andere hotel zelfs geannuleerd om hier onze laatste 2 nachten in Tokyo door te brengen. Badkamers zijn heel klein, maar dat is bijna overal in Japan.

They were very nice to let us check in early and also keeping our luggage after we checked out. They are located in a very convenient area, with dining, groceries, and attractions close by. My friend used the free laundry facilities. They provided free drinks and snacks. Wish they would have provided dish soap for us to clean the plates and knives. Very spacious hotel room for 4. Appreciated that they had a drying room for laundry inside the bathroom. I would absolutely stay here again!

Avisan que la limpieza no es todos los días. Camas grandes y cómodas. Caja fuerte también disponible. Zona muy tranquila, silenciosa. La ubicación no es mala, a unos 15 minutos caminando de Asakusa. Un Family Mart en diagonal (excelente para usar el servicio de takkyubin). A destacar la atención del personal, sobre todo de Mina, que nos ayudó a completar los formularios para mandar las valijas. Agregaría protocolos de limpieza de toallas para uso racional del agua.
