- Ιωάννα (10/5): -
- lecia (10/5): Great night in comfortable bed - Bed was super comfortable, and despite the windows it felt very private! It’s a noisy location, as they disclosed. Also the blinds were complete but black out curtains would have been a bonus
- Lisa (10/5): -
- Nathanael (10/5): Do your self a favour and have an unforgettable experience. - This is the best place I've ever stayed. Quirky and memorable! And easy to get to using metro and tram. And it was good value for money.
. What's not to like. But if you have limited mobility the spiral staircase could be difficult to manage.

- Dymphi (8/5): Prima! - Heerlijk bed! Erg gehorig

- Alessia (8/5): Unique stay in great location - The stay at SWEETS Wiegbrug is very unique! We found it to be very comfortable and cozy. We loved the location and being slightly out of the touristic parts of Amsterdam as it felt peaceful - but still really accessible to the centre. Found the place to be a little dusty and also had cleaners come in midway through our stay which wasn’t communicated to us.
- Jie (10/5): -
- Poppy (9/5): Books were fab too, great balcony and fab restaurants near by. Loved it - Unique stay. So cool. Comfy and great views Styles really well. Loved all the lights and the stair lights
- Parvathy (9/5): Superb -
- Erhard (7/5): A noisy night on the water - Nice surroundings, virtually on the water. Easy access and organization. Proximity to tram rails and road rather noisy.
- Elizabeth (10/5): What a great and unusual way to stay in Amsterdam! - Great little suite! So nicely done and such a unique experience. I loved the industrial history to the suite. Books kept falling off the book shelves!
- Sharon (8/5): Unique stay in a comfortable, convenient place! - The location was excellent. The room, especially the bed, was quite comfortable. We loved being able to see the canal right outside our windows. We had been warned that the noise of the trams might be bothersome, but it wasn't. The spiral staircase up to the room felt a bit treacherous. It would have been great to have use of the outside fire escape instead.
Also, the swinging chair was charming, but it would have been nice to have an armchair or two instead.
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sonic (10/5): Best place ive stayed in the 15 trips ive taken to Amsterdam - Everything Nothing
- Sebastiaan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (10/5): It was truly a valuable stay :) Thank you! - The lake view from the property was absolutely relaxing. It's a bit far from the main area, yet there're many restaurants and shops nearby so it wasn't hard to have foods. WiFi was weak.
- Elizabeth (7/5): Perfect location with wonderful images of canal life. - Location was ideal.
Access seemed unnecessarily complicated, especially after a long haul flight Access directlyvia lock box is simple & convenient.
- Jamesaverynz (10/5): Exceptional - Cool experience
- Marghieth (9/5): Very magical with a pinch of impracticality - The views, cleanliness, uniqueness, charm, modern inside, comfy bed, clear guide on the home, interesting to see the life outside like bikers, trams and ferries passing and the bride rising, we were lucky to see the meteor shower from our window, the french cafe across the street The chairs were uncomfortable, we couldn't open the door to the wider stairs and it could have been nice to use that as a balcony to enjoy the water views, the outside was quite dirty-even if it was isolated people seemed to have scattered trash near the premises, a bit far from the center though walkable
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Michal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Benedict (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dmytro (9/5): Superb -
- Kevin (8/5): Very good - Very unusual and what a view! Very comfortable and even just enough room to keep a bike in the door entry. I would have liked an option to have entry card stored in a lock box on-site with a code provided well ahead of time so I didn't need to fret about getting to 50 Damrak to work out the details far from the actual place I'd stay. The hanging chair is a bit in the way.
- Celine (8/5): Very good -
- Nic (9/5): Superb - We loved staying in the bridge house! It was in a great location, and maybe it's because we're from New York, but the noise didn't bother us at all. We loved the view and found it really nice to have the space all to ourselves. Would have liked to have a way to heat up food. A small microwave or toaster oven would go a long way. Unfortunately, the wifi was problematic. Luckily we were not working, but we had to use our hotspot when we needed reliable internet. I've contacted the host to see if they will fix it as we'd like to stay here again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Disappointing service - The room is situated in a very nice house on one of the amsterdam bridges. From architectural point of view is fantastic. However if you have a large suitcase forget to bring it to the room as you have a narrow spiral staircase to reach it. Concerning noise, you will have the live with the tram crossing the bridge ... that is quite loud and you will have light very early as the blinds are not blocking the sun.
For us all those points were some how acceptable as the place is lovely. Unfortunately this morning 2 persons come at 8:30 to make works on the roof. Redo the asphalt cover!!! When your guess are leaving at 10. Sending workers at 8:30 looks to me crossing the line of what is acceptable.
- Boal (10/5): Exceptional - This was a unique location not too far from the city where you can watch the boats go past the apartment. The bed was really comfy and it was a cozy place to get away for a few days :) As everyone has said its a bit noisy with the trams but the ear plugs helped with that :)
- Genevieve (7/5): Good location and fun to stay above the canal. Suited for young people with small luggage! - It was a lovely location and nice to have views along the canal. Seeing the bridge go up when a big boat came along was fun. Trams (13 and 19) were handy to take you to the main attractions. Great for one person. Well…the spiral staircase made it impossible to get my suitcase upstairs. I left it under the stairs and took things up in a carry bag. I don’t see the point of the outside stairs? Access denied? The Venetian blinds need dusting as do the windows (they are on a slant and collect dust!). There is no information to assist with how to get about the city. Just a basic map with tram routes would be helpful. The message about cleaning was vague so didn’t know when it would be done? I was there 6 nights and they came after 4 nights. You need to market it to young people (I’m a fit 68 year old) but the stairs were treacherous!
- Matthew (9/5): Fantastic - Great bed and facilities Egg Chair wasn’t necessary. The roof leaked the morning we left
- Teymoor (10/5): - What an awesome accommodation for my last few nights in Amstedam.
The unit has everything you need, and is close to the tram line to Centraal Station. It also has an amazing shower and was beautifully climate controlled for the warm days.
You do get some tram noise in the morning, but your hosts will graciously provide you were earplugs. Highly recommend staying here.
- Van (10/5): Unforgettable experience and got a taste of Amsterdam and its history. - I don’t mind downloading apps to get in the room. I think that is a very convenient and efficient way to get inside the property. The area is good walking distance to centraal. Amazing view. good amenities and made good use of their space. Super cozy and great stay with a partner. It can get quite bright in the room - so make sure to bring a sleep mask. The trams track is right next to the property, so bear in mind that it can get loud. You get a few pranksters who ring the doorbell and spray paint at the door, random people sometimes hang at the staircase area… which the hotel cannot help at all but does become bothersome when it’s 5am and someone is ringing at your doorbell.
- Dominic (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (7/5): Good - Great place and location Very noisy
- Carol (10/5): Perfect week if you enjoy the city going about its business! - Such a fun location with the bridge and canal. Perfect tram stop for all Amsterdam just across the road and good cafes and bars easy walking. Generally all good. Yes, the trams were loud going over the bridge but that was expected and great fun to watch!
- Geoffrey (10/5): Loved staying there. - Excellent location and comfortable suite. Wifi was not strong.
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional - This place was beyond PERFECT! Hands down the best place Iv stayed! It was so unique and beautiful. The heating made it feel so homely. The best was the most comfy bed I stayed in! The location was perfect! 10 minute tram ride to the centre and the tram stop was right outside!! A little shop opposite and an Aldi down the road. Really recommend going to food Hallen the food was out standing! There was a little glass hut outside in the morning for coffee and croissants. Yes there was noise from the tram stop with the trams going past but believe me where ever you stay in Amsterdam there is going to be noise!! I highly recommend staying here!! Thankyou sweets hotel for the experience!! Absolutely nothing it was perfect! The only thing I feel it was missing was a tv but it honestly didn’t matter the place was perfect enough!
- Samuel (10/5): ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING - Fabulous place to stay, immaculately clean, warm, cosy and the location over hanging the canal makes for a magical experience. We loved the atmosphere and ambience of being right on the street, the bridge opened a few times and its not something you see everyday. Theres a duck that quacks every morning and if you love nature like us youll find it hilarious. The tram stop on line 13 takes you directly to central station and everywhere in between. Absolutely faultless. Defo recommended. We personally could not fault the place at all, impossible to dislike anything.
- Jennifer (9/5): Amazing location, unique property with comfy bed. - The property was well located, clean and cosy with amazing canal views. The tram to central is right outside. There is a food market dehallen just 6 mins walk away plus many shops and cafes nearby. The bed was super comfy!!! The hosts made me feel welcome with a personal message and the key pass for the door worked perfectly fine on first try. The property is unique and one I would definitely recommend. I’ve stayed many places in Amsterdam and this is one of my favourites, can’t wait to explore more of SWEETS bridge houses 🙌 The property got very cold when the heating went off, luckily it was back on with 5-10 mins. To be fair it was January and -2c outside. Also if visiting when the weather is cold be aware it can get icy outside the front door. Mugs for tea/coffee would be good 😊
- Mulgowie (7/5): Just not the best for a long distance traveller or if you are here on business. - This was a quirky/cozy place. Very clean and appears well kept.
Ideal for a couple of days for a couple. This is not really for the overseas traveller. Too get into the place you navigated narrow spiral stairs.
There was a hanging seat right in the middle which didn't allow room to move around to reach the shower/toilet or kitchenette.
This has a bit going for it but just needed some simplicity's to make it so much better.
1. Get rid of the hanging seat
2. Stools cut off circulation in the legs.
3. The bench had 3 lamps stuck to it, so to put the laptop out and some USB charging facilities was a challenge.
4. The internet was horrible. I tried to connect my security router so I could remote to our office, but the system would not allow me too. This is usually because domestic products are used to provide internet. If we connected to the wifi it was slow, and disconnected frequently.
- Notti (8/5): Excellent and exciting place for city-mountaineers. - The Wiegbrug is a great place and it is being excellently taken care off, which largely compensates for the fact that it is rather small. The noisiness (mainly the tram, until it stops running) is quite doable, but I can imagine that it would be an issue if you are sensitive to it. One of the nice details is for example the bluetooth speaker for you to use, and as it is a free standing construction, you do not need to be too concerned either with turning up the volume. More than the noise, the close by streetlight bothered me. The blinds in front of the windows do not block sufficiently the rather strong light. If one or two window shades are be added close to the bed, this would be easily solved. The key app also did not work when I arrived. The office was quite responsive, even late at night, but during the twenty minutes they tried to fix it, it started to rain heavily, so it did make a quite big difference to me. In the end, they did not manage to fix the electronic key, but gave me the padlock code of a box next to the door which held the physical key. I would have appreciated it, if they had given me that code immediately when I called the first time.
- Naser (8/5): Very good -
- Ed (9/5): Overall, happy with our stay. As a younger couple - recommended. - The location is awesome, and the facility is quite an interesting property. Being right on the canals was very cool. Obviously the space is a bit tight, but with only 2 people you can make it work. The circular stairs getting in can be a challenge, not sure I would recommend for people in their 80's!!! Overall, I would recommend. Sweets giving ear plugs was a great idea, even though I didn't know why at first! Trams going by all night can be noisy, however, Sweets provided ear plugs, which got me through the night just fine. I recommend also disconnecting the remote door bell, as someone thought it might fun to ring it a few times on our 1st night of our stay. Smallest bathroom sink I have ever seen! Small fridge as well.
- Johan (7/5): cool place, but loud! - Very cool place to spend a weekend. Great location, fantastic canal views and I like the fact that you are out on the street in a second. Small bed, and very small bathroom - but ok. Too noisy. When the tram passes by it sounds like it is inside the room.
- John (8/5): Very good - Unique set up as part of a bridge
Unbeatable secluded location seeing boats passing through the canal. Sound of transportation but helped by putting on ear plugs provided
- Alua (9/5): Superb -
- Jason (10/5): This place is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. -
- Timoer (9/5): Very unique experience and must try to experience Amsterdam. - Great location and superb experience, comfortable bed. Looking outside of the window and seeing so close the whole city vibe is hypnotizing. I only wish we'd stayed longer. I think it's a bit pricey for the amenities and overall comfort you're getting, but I understand you pay more for a unique experience.
- Anthony (9/5): A cute and quirky apartment literally located in a canal - a real delight and a great location. - A very cute apartment in a central location, with lots of excellent cafes and restaurants nearby. The location directly beside the bridge won't suit everyone - I'm a heavy sleeper, so the noise didn't bother me, but it may not be suitable for light sleepers (unless you use earplugs, which are kindly supplied). The apartment is compact, but it's great for a short stay.
- Palladini (8/5): Very good -
- Juliet (8/5): Glad we have done it. - it’s location and originality It was hugely expensive for one night.
- Jenny (10/5): Exceptional - This house was extraordinary! It was very nicely situated and the neighborhood was perfect, shopping just down the street! The view was gorgeous and it was nice to drink coffee and wave at the passing boats! It was a bit loud with the boat gate and tram but they had ear plugs and at night the noise died down.
- Limi (9/5): Unique, historical experience in a great neighborhood. - Amazing views and modern design. Great connections to the rest of the city with the tram stop just outside the door. Clever use of the space so we had everything we needed. Great customer service from the SWEETS hotel staff. The noise from passing trams every few minutes in the morning. We were given earplugs, but I used my own. Also, we were provided with a Bluetooth speaker and tablet and played music to balance out the sound.
- Alona (10/5): It was interesting experience to stay at such place. It’s very comfortable and cozy with all stuff that you may need. It - everything nothing
- Jenny (10/5): This was one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in. I would definitely return. - It was a unique property and really comfortable. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and a tram stop just steps away.
- Linda (10/5): Fantastic hotel - Bed and duvet are super comfy. Loved watching the bridge raise and lower to allow the boats to pass. Loved learning about the history of the canal house. It had everything we needed. The location is excellent for exploring so many different areas of Amsterdam. I wouldn't hesitate to book it again. I didn't like having to use an app to open the door.
- Freya (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, unique setup, smooth communication, seamless travel - great recommendation for anyone seeking a different experience from you standard hotel room Don't expect it to be super quiet - the building is close to a street and not isolated like a brick house but it gets quiet at night and the views are compensating for everything
- Anna (8/5): Very good - A very interesting and convenient place. An ideal option to spend the night. It was clean comfortable and cozy there were no mugs for tea and I would also like to have a microwave
- Jamie (9/5): Superb - Very cool and unique place to stay, bed is very comfortable! the winding stair case up, and the big wicker basket chair, its very cool, and it looks good but i found that it took up alot of space that would otherwise make the place feel bigger. Also random people will ring the doorbell either out of curiosity, a few times people rang the doorbell at 2 or 3 am. I didn't bother answering but just know that happens lol, I stayed there for 3 weeks and everyday someone would ring the bell.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thewalkingman (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (10/5): Quirky! Clean! Memorable! - We loved how quirky this accommodation was. situated on the canal too for a lovely view when waking up. You will stay in many hotels and hostels in your life but only remember a few, this will be one of them. Very clean and modern. Super easy gaining entry, used our phone VIA an app to enter. The only thing we though maybe could of been a little bit better is the check in time. We thought 4pm was quite late. But I’m fairness a lot of places are the same. But a bonus is they offer free luggage storage near the centre.
- Maria (10/5): I will highly recommend this place for couples to make your night unforgettable 💕 - The location, the unusual scenario, the boat that was passing by in the morning, and the bridge opened right in front of the window, cool experience overall. It can be noisy, especially in the morning when trams are starting their work. But, if you're young and enjoying occasional drink- you will have a nice sleep. By the way, the earplugs were provided. There is a row of dangerous stairs in the house, but this place is for adults only, just be careful 😉
- Beverley (9/5): Superb -
- Stephen (10/5): fantastic and the supporting staff were excellent, arriving earlier than expected we wanted to access the property and t - very quirky, great location, accessible and comfortable - will be returning nothing
- Nicholas (8/5): Very good -
