• Michael (9/5): Practical, utilitarian place to stay near Ikebukuro Station - My wife and I have stayed several times at Eisei Stay in Ikebukuro over the last few years. It's a very functional lodging, not fancy, but very utilitarian. As on most of our trips we booked the Deluxe Triple Room which features 3 single beds. The beds are not what I consider particularly comfortable, but nevertheless I wake up without the aches and pains that I often endure when I stay at other places around Japan. My wife and I each sleep on one of the beds and we use the third to stage our clothes and things that we've bought during our stay and need to figure out how to fit into our suitcases. The room is questionably a Triple in that the only table sports 2 chairs, rather than 3. There is a washing machine for clothes, and the shower room has the dryer (kansou) feature that takes the place of a dedicated clothes drying machine. The kitchen is functionally furnished, with a refrigerator that can hold a substantial amount of food and drinks. The biggest improvement over the last time we stayed had nothing directly to do with Eisei Stay, but rather there is now a Family Mart convenience store located just a few steps away from the entrance to the building. This is fantastic -- we used to have to wander through the love hotels for some time to find a conbini. Automated messages related to the booking were timely and included sufficient information. If you have not completed the pre-check-in process including loading images of your passport, doing so with the device in the lobby is a real pain. I took photos using the lobby device of my passport multiple times, and the image never saved successfully. My wife recalled a previous visit during which we called management and were told that the lobby device had to be pointed upward toward the ceiling lights in order for there to be enough light for the passport photo to be saved. This approach worked. In the room there are only 2 chairs, and a 3-legged stool off in a corner that you could reposition next to the only table. but I cannot imagine that being comfortable. There is nobody working on the property who can help you with any issues that you have while staying.

• Rowena (10/5): 12/10! Very comfortable stay! So many amenities included. - 12/10. One of the best places we’ve stayed in our recent two trips to Japan. We wanted to extend our stay! Relatively new building. Very clean unit. Room size is comfortable for a family of three adults. Location: near the Ikebukuro Train Station (7-10mins walk); Family Mart (200 mt); local grocery store (300 mt). About 3 min walk to nearby izakayas and 10 min walk to a revolving sushi bar. Relatively quiet neighborhood, even if near Love Hotels. Good soundproofing; the room was VERY QUIET, we couldn’t hear the other guests nor noise from outside (if any). There were three separate beds, bed linens were clean, crisp and comfy. We slept like babies! We were provided with comfy pajamas and a pair of slippers each. The kitchen was well-equipped. Toilet, bath/bathtub, lavatory are in three separate spaces; washing machine in a separate space as well. The bathroom has a heater for room drying and clothes drying, very convenient as clothes are dry only a few hours after washing. The unit felt cozy, was lit well (lots of lighting options!) and had good ventilation: there’s a balcony for sunlight and fresh air, and separate exhaust fans/air vents in the toilets and bath. The aircon unit had cooling and heating options. Washing and drying clothes was a breeze. There were 10 extra plastic hangers and a steel rack with attached clothespins for smaller clothing items provided, on top of the usual wardrobe hangers. The balcony also had clothes racks for airing/drying/sunning of clothes and towels. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. Although it was an unmanned facility, the offsite staff were quick to respond to our inquiries. Very pleasant and comfortable stay. Highly recommended! None. Although the hotel is near Love Hotels, we felt safe since we always travelled as a family of three.

• Patricia Denise (8/5): One of the best budget stays in Tokyo, great for groups with lots of luggage - A good deal for the space, cleanliness, and amenities. The place smells clean just by entering and check in/check out is quick and seamless. Ample supply of cleaning supplies, disposable amenities, slippers, sleepwear, towels, and plates. The staff always replies promptly and happy to help you book some restaurants that require a JP number as well. Worth noting that because this hotel is unmanned, if you arrive early in Tokyo like us you will need to store your luggage in coin lockers or Ecbo Cloak until your 3PM checkin. For some reason my rhinitis was on an overdrive in some days of my stay here. My nose is cleared when I get out of the room. That’s one thing to watch out especially if you’ve got rhinitis. Also the cleaning can be improved — I wish the 2-day cleaning is automatic rather than relying on whether the sign has been plastered. Would’ve made more sense if the sign is used to refuse cleaning, than to request it.

• Lai Sheung (10/5): 整體非常滿意，今次是第二次入住，希望能改善清潔時候的保安問題，下次還希望入住。 - 位置優越，前往池袋站00分鐘及太陽城購物中心15至20分鐘，住宿環境舒適、空間寬敞、乾淨衛生、浴室有亂放及乾燥設備、入住及對方容易。 今次住宿在地下，有一天中午12點返回住所，當時清潔人員正在進行打掃，清潔人員長地下進入有所玻璃門打開了，同時將101、102及103 ，三間房的門也打開了，清潔人員在其中一間房間入面打掃，我們無需按密碼就可以進入大樓給自己房間，清潔人員也不知道，這個構成了都是風險，希望可以向住宿管理方反映，並在此提醒及培訓清潔員工，注意保安，不要將大樓有鎖鐵閘打開，並且每次只打開清潔的房間。

Fast & efficient service, you can ping them or put magnets up on your door for room service, which will provide you will everything requested and clean 6 minute walk to ikebukuro Station The pillows were pretty hard, 2 pillows made it manageable, however if you're staying here, we would recommend getting a 2nd pillow. This area is near love hotels, however don't put too much thought into it.

La piccola cucina con frigorifero e accessori è stata molto utile per colazioni mattutine e pasti leggeri indispensabili in un lungo soggiorno. Proprio davanti alla struttura è presente un minimarket aperto 24/24. La vicinanza alla stazione di Ikebukuro è fondamentale, infatti è un crocevia delle linee principali di treno/metropolitana indispensabili per raggiungere i luoghi da visitare. Un problema, peraltro segnalato subito dalla struttura, è l'impossibilità di accogliere bagagli prima del ceck-in (sempre dalle 15) o anticipare l'ingresso. Questo può essere fastidioso per chi come noi è arrivato la mattina presto. I letti sono leggermente duri per le nostre abitudini ma questo è molto soggettivo.

• david (9/5): Très bon rapport qualité prix à Tokyo - Appartement spacieux et très bien équipé. Parfait pour séjourner plusieurs jours à Tokyo sans constamment s’énerver contre le manque de place. Beaucoup de restaurants à proximité. Idem pour les magasins. Très très pratique pour visiter Tokyo en métro 1 rue à éviter si vous n’avez pas envie d’être accosté et de vous faire proposer certains services…Nois étions en famille ils nous ont ignoré et on s’est senti en sécurité mais nos ados étaient assez grand pour se rendre compte de ce dont il s’agissait. La bonne nouvelle, c’est que cette rue est finalement facile à éviter même pour aller au métro

• Indeanna (10/5): Great Hotel Near Ikebukuro's Love Hotels - Everything was great! Convenience store right outside, clean, spacious for Tokyo. Easy access to Ikebukuro Station. Walking through the love hotel streets was a plus for our group because some of the hotels are just ... quirky. The beds are quite firm and if you don't like the pillows then they have no other options for you.
• Dirk (8/5): Super Apartment in Ikebukuro - Ein schönes Apartment, mit allem was man für einen Aufenthalt benötigt. Mit 6 großen Koffern musste man etwas managen um den Platz optimal zu nutzen. Die Wohnung war sauber, die Betten bequem. Einzig die Lage kann für Familien unangenehm sein, da direkt an der Grenze zum Love Hotel Distrikt. Für alle anderen, super Nähe zum Bahnhof und zum Nachtleben.

• F.J. (10/5): You will love this beautiful, quiet and spacious apartment in Tokyo! - The apartment is very conveniently located. Across the street is a small supermarket for breakfast and dinner if you don't feel like going out. It is only a five minute walk to the metro station. If you cross the railway (bridge) you find a big shopping mall and lots of restaurants. The apartment is very quiet at night and spacious with an eye for detail. Everything we needed was there...fresh towels, soap, sponge, toothbrush you name it. And it was very clean and well organized. Easy acces with self check in. We liked having a washing machine and bathtub in the bathroom and there was even space for our luggage to store. We had a wonderful stay here and would definitely recommend it. The beds were a little hard with small pillows but that is personal....Don't be scared about the backstreet it is in with some very interesting other hotels in the neighbourhood. Just enjoy Tokyo city day and night and return to this quiet heaven!

• Céline (9/5): 2 français en vadrouille en Asie - plutôt bien situé, un peu de gymnastique avec les métros mais on est à Tokyo rien à dire côté équipement (machine à laver (économie poids valise)/bain😁) bien isolé (mais on était au dernier étage..) lits confortables (faut aimer le dur..mais on est à Tokyo/Asie..c souvent le cas)(..mention spéciale oreillers 😍) Manque de lampes de chevet..juste plafonnier réglable le chekout..c'est le code de réservation pas celui de la porte(..on a perdu peu de temps à trouver..c bien de le savoir c tout)..tout ce fait par tablette , pas d'humains donc ceux qui cherchent un contact..No way(on a pas eu de besoin non plus)

• Jaso162 (8/5): Clean and affordable accommodation, close to the center of Ikebukuro, suitable for budget travellers - The room was quite large for such a central location. The room and facilities were clean and everything worked correctly. Having a washing machine was very helpful. The booking and check-in process was fully automated, and worked suprisingly well. English translations were reasonably easy to understand. The matresses were very simple, quite thin and firm, some people would find them uncomfortably hard. The location is in the centre of a red-light district, so it felt very uncomfortable walking around the area with young and adolescent children. The room had 2 swinging ring-poles suspended from the ceiling, like some kind of sex-fettish contraption.

• Hsin (10/5): 第一次東京行的絕佳住宿體驗 - 1.交通便利，距離池袋西口(北)出口步行約10分鐘，一路上確實如其他評論一樣很多hotel，但街道上不會有拉人或搭訕的人(好像更過去的街道才會有)，所以安全上我認為還是OK的。步行路程也相當平緩，拉行李箱不費力。但唯一要注意是的是西口(北)的出口以及北改札的部分沒有電梯，如果想搭電梯就要繞一下。 2.住宿前記得先填寫飯店提供的入住資料網站，入住密碼我是在一天前收到，同一組密碼使用了四天，並沒有發生像前面留言有人說途中更換密碼的狀況。 3.飯店內整體空間非常大，三個行李箱完全攤開都沒問題，基礎設備也應該有盡有，也有附牙刷牙膏等盥洗用品(雖然我們以為不提供就自己帶了)。 4.本來最擔心的wifi很慢的部分也是相當順暢，日常使用都沒有問題。 5.插座的部分超級充足，每張床頭都有獨立的插座，不用搶插座就是讚。 6.電視頻道的部份只有提供地上波，BS那些沒有，台數有點少，轉來轉去沒什麼能看的XD，反而早上的新聞還比晚上的深夜節目好看。 7.飯店樓下對面就是全家，買東西方便，不過那間全家東西感覺有一點點點少，多走個2.3個路口就會有lawson跟唐吉訶德。 8.床的部分適中偏硬，不會到太軟。 9.隔音部分周邊很安靜，基本上不會聽到外面馬路的聲音(可能因為是巷子也沒什麼人經過)。倒是同層其他房間的聲音，如果別間笑得超大聲，半夜安靜的時候是有機會聽到一點點點的，但也只有聽到那天而已，整體隔音還不錯。 10.兩天打掃一次，垃圾桶有一點小， 11.門口進去就有全身鏡，盥洗台面向浴室也有半身鏡(?)，穿著打扮沒問題，但如果能有張小桌子提供化妝就好了(都在窗邊用自然光畫)，然後房間裡的燈光除了廚房洗手台那邊有一盞白光外，其他整體都是黃光。 12.第一次來東京覺得住池袋真是太棒了，車站算大站，因此池袋站有很多路線電車的，山手線還有搭到快速(?)的班次，從澀谷到池袋只花了3站就到! 其中一天去橫濱聽演唱會也是搭湘南新宿線40分鐘不用轉車就到，超方便下次來還想住池袋! 超讚ㄉ住宿體驗 無
• Ruri (7/5): - 池袋駅から近く、コンビニや商店街もすぐそこにあって便利でした。 利便性の割に安く、一人で泊まるならお部屋の広さや機能も充分でした。 壁が薄いのか、隣や下の階？の方と清掃員の外国籍の方がやり取りされているのが丸聞こえでした…。普段自動チェックインでスタッフさんが居られないので何か質問されることが多いのかな？と思いますが、複数のお部屋を回られていたようで長時間それが続き、少し騒がしかったです。
• KAI FAI (10/5): - Clean, Sizable, Air-Cond is good. Pillow is a bit too small and hard. Best to have more choices for selection.

• Xichen (7/5): - The room is really big and pretty comfortable so that's good for a place to stay in Tokyo given its price. Location: it is right next to a hospital and the hospital's deserted old buildings, so sometimes it feels a bit gloomy; also it is located in a red light area-- there are lots of more "sexual" hotels around. Be mindful if you are traveling with children. Also the washing machine is a bit dirty.
• HOI YEE (9/5): Recommend! - clean and quiet, big enough, well equipped. Even though nearby is a hospital and love hotels, it is still very quiet and safe. Reasonable distance from the train station. Convenient stores, Donki, supermarket all available nearby. Recommend If can have chopsticks in the kitchen will be fine.
