- Woo Hyun (2/5): - When I arrived at the hotel around 3PM, room was not ready. Even I reserved 6 nights, they arranged a dark room without sunshine. I asked to change the room with views. I was told to pay extra charge to change the room. I satisfied hotel facilities, cleanness and location. But staffs of front desk were terrible and rude. I felt bad in starting my travel.
- Tomlet2 (8/5): Stylish, well-located hotel with a few service slips - The best thing about this hotel is the location- right in the middle of the Athens action, close to a number of museums, excellent shopping, and plenty of restaurants. The hotel itself is attractively designed- I particularly enjoyed the quotes from famous women on each floor. My room was comfortable, with a comfortable bed, a retractable blind that kept out the light and noise of the city, and a good shower. Toiletries were Olivia Thinks- I'd not heard of them before, but the scent was divine. The rooftop terrace is especially attractive, with views of the Acropolis over the small infinity pool. Dinner in the downstairs Café was good, although on the expensive side- though that is to be expected in a capital city hotel. The staff were mostly lovely: porters were on hand to take our luggage from the taxi to storage (rooms aren't available until 3pm unless you're part of the loyalty programme, which feels rather corporate for what is otherwise a stylish hotel), then later up to our rooms, and back down again when we left. Reception staff were consistently helpful. At dinner my Mother accidentally broke glass over her food and her meal was replaced instantly, this was handled with friendly professional ease. Breakfast, however, was less impressive - we waited thirty minutes and asked three times for English Breakfast tea, which wasn't great when it finally arrived. Overall, a stylish and comfortable hotel in an unbeatable location, with a few service inconsistencies that stop it being perfect.
- Amber (8/5): - The property is centrally located with shopping and dining in every direction. Within a 20min walk to the museums and felt safe. The hotel staff was very professional and accommodating. Only downside was that the room was a little small and the shower was a bad design.
- mauromP8041CY (8/5): Great Spot, Not Luxury At All - The Athens Capital Hotel is in an excellent location and offers three restaurants, which is a plus. The rooms are honestly a bit on the small side, though the breakfast is decent. The rooftop has a nice view, but the prices at the terrace restaurant don’t really match the quality of the food or the service. Overall, it’s a good hotel for a short stay (we only stayed two nights), but it’s not truly five-star and not worth paying a very high nightly rate for a longer visit.

- LE267 (8/5): Well located in Athens - This is a nice hotel right next to Syntagma Square. It’s about 15-20mins to walk to several main attractions, or there’s a metro stop across the street. We enjoyed our room - the bed was extremely comfortable and there was pretty good sound insulation. Unfortunately there was a very odd buzzing noise coming from the plugs by the bed (think old internet dial up noises). I was too lazy to change rooms, so I used my earplugs to sleep. Staff was nice and the concierge was very helpful with a few last minute items. However, there were certainly service lapses. Cleaners did not restock our coffee pods/milk all days we were at the hotel. Each day we would ask the front desk to rectify, but sometimes it would take a few tries to get both items delivered. The last day our towels weren’t restocked. This seemed to be a wider problem as I heard two people complaining about it at the front desk when we checked in. Breakfast was generally good, except when there are large tour groups staying at the hotel (and there often is - they set up welcome desks in the lobby). The first morning, breakfast was a zoo. Nobody came to take our coffee or juice orders. Wait staff kept running by us and smiling, but we couldn’t flag them down for a while. It was chaotic. The other two mornings were much improved and service better (we could actually get coffee). One random thing we appreciated - shoe cleaning machines on every floor. Great for getting the dust off your shoes after a long day exploring the ancient sites.

I was impressed by the dedication and professionalism of Efstathia(Efi), Andreanna, Ioanna , Pavloas, Kalliopi, Dimitra, Elena, Vangelis, Tatiana, Nefeli and Lambros! They all went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The food offered in it's restaurants is exquisite. Plus...their roof top offers spectacular view to the Acroplis. It is perfectly located in the best area of the city, within walking distance of Parliament, Zeus Temple, high end boutiques and easy walking or subway acces to Pmaka and the Acropolis. But the very best is their staff, who payed attention to detail to our needs. I want to congratulate: Harrys for his impeccable service at the roof top for dinner. Ms.Kostadina at the roof top: for paying attention to my "Akrokieramo" question and for converting it into a nice surprise! The ladies at Front Desk for.such agile check in. Concierge: thank you so much Ms. Dimitra for such a lovely surprise and detail gift regarding "Akrokieramo". You all made Victoria, Diana and.Raul Mora's stay unforgetable.

This hotel is super stylish and suite and rooms are clean and comfortable! Windows ensure we couldn’t hear traffic. Rooftop pool is amazing. Although due to space sunchairs are always occupied. A few improvements: pool already closes at 7pm right for the sunset as they need to prepare outdoor seating for dinner. This is really a shame! Breakfast restaurant was extremely slow. We don’t do buffets so ordered ala carte and it took forever to get coffee and food. Would definitely stay here next time I’m in Athens!

The bad experience we had was the hotel charged us additional fees for our children (teens) although our reservation made through Expedia had them listed with their ages and no one at the front desk could articulate why the additional fees aside from that they were over 12 so they charged extra. It didn’t make sense if I made the reservation with these details. That’s disingenuous pricing.

I was never called and there was clearly no effort to get the room ready when I had arrived early. The gym is adequate, nothing special. When I did finally get to room and showered, the shower gel was empty. The hotel is in a great location. It is near all the nice shops and walking distance from the Acropolis.

- Seaview5 (10/5): We have already booked to return next month - We have stayed at this lovely hotel before so we knew that we would enjoy the experience for a second time. There was an excellent buffet choice in MFlavours and the Mappemunde Roof Terrace not only had stunning views but also delicious food. We had dinner once and lunch twice. The service was excellent and great care was taken with my garlic allergy. Christos deserves special mention. Housekeeping was very friendly and helpful. The only negative aspect of our stay was that, despite numerous emails confirming that we had added an additional night to our original booking, Reception staff insisted that we had to check out the following day, settle the bill and then check in again. The bookings were not linked so our key card only worked for one day. The matter was eventually resolved to our satisfaction.

- Orhan (6/5): - Hotel as a property was decent to good, I could give 4 or 4.5. However there were two major issues. I booked and asked at the time of the check-in for a king size bed which they responded as yes. However, it was actually 2 twin beds brought together. If they laid a thick enough king size ped then it would turn into a decent king size bed. However, this was not the case and the middle of the bed was very uncomfortable to sleep at. So you had to sleep on either side of the bed, effectively making you sleep on a twin bed which I do everything to avoid. Second, when I selected the superior king room at expedia, one of the pictures was a view from the window to the street in the front of the hotel and the room description never said the room had a courtyard view which I very much dislike at a hotel unless the courtday is full of light and pleasant to look at. However, the room had a view of a concrete wall which was quite close to the the window which made the room very dark and depressive even during the day. When I asked the reception why I was given this room, they said superior rooms had either street view or courtyard view and they preferred to give me this room. I said there is nothing wrong having a room with a concrete wall view or dark or even a room without a window as long as they disclose this clearly at the room description part which was not the case. Room description was clearly misleading at best or better to say untrue. This is completely unacceptable.
- davidtW3033UN (10/5): Wonderful staff - It is the staff who put this hotel in a class above others. Without exception, whatever their role, they were welcoming, friendly and helpful. We felt particularly well looked after in the restaurant where we ate each evening. If you are brave enough to eat outside in March during the evening there is a spectacular view of the Acropolis and Parthenon from the 10th floor. Also a swimming pool on the same level where you can relax whilst gazing across at this amazing ancient site. The choice of food at breakfast was extensive and diverse. In other respects the reception areas and rooms meet the standards expected of a 5* hotel.
