- Baglan (2/5): Worst! Terrible - The hotel experience was extremely disappointing and concerning. The room we were given reeked of cigarette smoke, despite our concerns about air quality — especially since one of my children has asthma. When we inquired about whether the room was smoke-free, the staff misunderstood and thought we were asking if we could smoke, to which they enthusiastically replied, “Absolutely, go ahead.” To make matters worse, the beds were infested with bed bugs. We were seriously worried about the health and safety of my wife and our three children. We had originally booked a 6-night stay, but after just one night, we felt forced to leave for the safety and well-being of our family. Unfortunately, the hotel refused to refund the unused nights despite the unacceptable conditions. This experience was both distressing and unacceptable.

The pricing was very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the stay. Most importantly, the staff stood out — genuinely warm, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. That kind of service makes all the difference when you're on the road often. This was our second stay, and while we enjoyed it overall, I do hope to see some small improvements—particularly in the cleanliness of the bathroom corners and shower area, as well as better cable TV quality. The breakfast service could also be enhanced with fresher offerings, consistent replenishment, and more variety like made-to-order eggs. while the overall experience was positive, there were a few areas that could be improved. The breakfast was a bit of a letdown. I was surprised to see there were no scrambled eggs available, which is quite standard in most places I've stayed. Instead, there were broiled eggs, and when I politely asked if scrambled eggs could be made, I was told there would be an extra charge. That felt a bit unnecessary, especially for something so basic. Additionally, on the first morning, I arrived well before breakfast hours ended, yet many items had not been replenished. It gave the impression that the service was winding down early, which isn’t ideal for guests trying to enjoy a relaxed start to the day. A little more attention to detail in the breakfast service would really elevate the overall guest experience.

Upon checking in, I immediately noticed the poor conditions—unclean rooms, a strong smell of cigarette smoke, and an overall unsafe environment. Despite requesting a room change, the staff refused to accommodate us, leaving us with no choice but to leave the hotel within two hours of arrival. As someone with allergies to dust and unclean environments, the conditions posed a serious health risk to me. After checking online reviews, I found numerous complaints from other guests reporting similar experiences, including health issues due to the hotel’s poor hygiene. To make matters worse, when I requested a refund, the hotel refused, citing their strict non-refundable policy with no exceptions. I booked through Orbitz, expecting a certain level of quality and support, but was left disappointed as they were unable to help due to the hotel’s rigid policies. I strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to think twice before booking. The conditions were unacceptable, and the lack of customer service made the experience even worse.

- Spurch (5/5): A decent place to stay for a work trip - The location of the hotel is very good! I stayed there because of it's proximity and easy access to the Tuyap Fair. There is a taxi station nearby as well as several bus stops. The staff is very friendly and willing to help if you need some information or directions. My room was big, clean and with very comfy and large bed. The Wi-Fi is good. The hotel is old and you can see that everywhere. Although the staff does its best to keep it clean, comfy and running it needs some renovation. There was no coffee on the breakfast buffet.

Room is big enough and you have everything you need. There's a tint to the bedroom windows which makes the room very dark. Never anyone around at the bar if you want a drink. The listing claims a full English and continental breakfast which, as expected, simply wasn't true!

- Kenneth (9/5): Overall, perfectly satisfactory. - Everything was pretty good overall. The air conditioning worked very well. The bed was comfortable. There was hot water. There was wifi. The price was also reasonable. The staff are polite, some of them were even excessively friendly (and patient with my awful Turkish). There were a few minor issues. The wifi, though generally fast, had a strange habit of shutting off randomly. Rather annoying during quite a few meetings. A couple issues with repairs here and there; the toilet was a bit wobbly and the sink had a small leak. The biggest problem I think is the location. There are several very good restaurants across the street, but to get to a full grocery store takes 20 minutes on foot (granted that 20-minute walk leads to an area with everything, even three Migroses!)
