Guest Reviews
- Garje Mohankumar (4/5): The concept is great, but I’ll avoid to stay in this specific bridge house in future. - Location, chess board The bed was uncomfortable and uneven. There was construction on all the sides of the house and we were not warned about it. The construction people made space for us to access the apartment after they noticed we were living in there. WiFi speed was not the best. The floors were cold most of the spots in the house.

- Christine (8/5): Highly recommend - Really cool little area, and the decor was really a nice touch. A lot more room in this spot than I had anticipated, and really was a nice evening near the canals. I was there in November and it was quite cold outside. There is a radiator but not for the entire home so it was quite cold inside especially near the kitchen and bathroom areas.
- Pietro (7/5): Quirky, unique, but too noisy for me. - The location and the design. Generally the whole idea of bridge operator office turned hotel is very cool. It’s so different and quirky. Bed was comfortable and very nice shower room. It was very noisy. I know that it was stated but I didn’t expect to hear the tram passing so loudly by the accomodation until late at night.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Grace (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Great - Great spot. Something you wouldn’t find any other city. They turned room into something very comfortable with all amenities.
- Batuhan (9/5): Superb -
- Olivier (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zafer (7/5): Nice concept but not very clean - Location and concept were great There were insects in the room. I killed 16 mosquitoes before we were able to sleep. There were also 4 big spiders and another bug.
- Richard (10/5): - We loved staying at this unique place!
Awesome views and lots of activity around.
Restaurants, Grocery Stores and Tram very close.
This will be a place you will always remember.
The early luggage storage hotel clerks were very friendly and accommodating.
We’d definitely love to stay at Sweets again.
- Roxana (8/5): Very good -
- Thomas (8/5): Sweet time in Amsterdam - Le logement est très agréable.
- Jamal (9/5): Great value for unique Amsterdam stay - Great location, fantastic space, very responsive owners!
- Suri (9/5): Super cool - This hotel is amazing, the location, the space, the facility, we really love our stay and the coolest hotel I have ever been, the view from our room super pretty
I don’t have pictures of our bed or inside this hotel but definitely took pictures of this hotel from different angles and the view from this hotels To get to the toilet is kinda extra especially when it’s cold in the night
- Evaggelia (8/5): Very good -
- Nathan (10/5): Fabulous time and very happy. Looking forward to trying some of the other accommodations at sweets - It was great being amongst everything going on. And waking up with river views. Kettle but no mugs and needed an iron as needed to iron my shirts.
- Willow (10/5): Absolutely amazing - This place is even cuter than it looks in the pictures! The location and the view are unbeatable and the host is awesome. Staying here felt like such a magical and unique experience. It's perfect for a couple. We were a little concerned about people being able to see inside. We also thought it was a bit noisy at first, but it ended up not being a problem at all.
- Taylor (10/5): Excellent stay. - Cute concept and great location for nice/high end food + drinks if you’re a foodie. Inside the space was cozy, comfy, and actually quite quiet even though it’s on a main road. *didn’t bother us but if you’re sensitive to train noise this property may be challenging
- Volkova (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect. Probably the best experience in accommodations that we’ve had so far.
- Sarah (8/5): Very good -
- Deniz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nagisa (8/5): excellent - very clean, nice view, and wonderful experience! a little noisy but it's Okay to know before.
- Ella (10/5): A wonderful and unique experience. - This was the most wonderful little place to stay to explore Amsterdam!
Whilst it is a little further from the centre, there was everything you need right on the doorstep - lovely cafes to get a morning coffee, great bars and restaurants, the gorgeous Vondelpark, and even a few coffeeshops - but it all came without the usual tourist overcrowding you find in the city centre. The tram stops are close by to get you wherever you want to go - but if you’re a light sleeper this might put you off as they do run late/start early and make some noise when going over the bridge.
The bridge house was very well equipped and loved everything about this cosy little home (especially the aircon during the heat) and we would love to come back here or to another Sweets Bridge house! Loved it all.
- Louis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Slobodan (8/5): a unique place to stay and enjoy Amsterdam recommended to all - The entire place is lovely, functional and really cozy, great view and fantastic experience, splendid bar right in front of the property. so overall a very lovely experience.. Property has all the necessary amenities for a comfy stay. noise made by the tram going over the bridge is really loud and felt in the property. This is definitively not the place for those with light sleep. Additional issue is that the kitchen sink serves as the only place where hands can be washed in the property.
- Anonymous (9/5): so much more than a hotel room - A truly unique experience staying in a bridge house! The location is excellent. The bed, bedding and pillows are next-level comfortable. The design is beautiful, the place is clean, and it feels welcoming. The staff are friendly, responsive, and accommodating. I’d highly recommend this place, especially if you’re looking for more than a run-of-the-mill hotel room. Yes the trams are loud, but they provide earplugs. I’m a light sleeper, but thanks to the super comfortable bed and bedding, I had a great night’s sleep!
- Sally (10/5): Exceptional - The location, loved the bridge house and view
- Nancy (8/5): would recommend but not for everybody. would probably stay again. - Visiting family. Location was perfect for this as it was close to their home. The only issue was the noise of the trains. That said, we booked this knowing about that. It was just harder to sleep than i expected. After the trains stop and before they start I slept well. and unfortunately, ear plugs bother my ears so that doesn't help.
- Stephen (10/5): Absolutely splendid and unique place in a wonderful location. Can't wait to go back - The place is perfect, it has everything you need in such a compact and beautiful package. Such a wonderfully unique place with a spectacular view!
- Chrissie-leigh (9/5): Would definitely stay there again. The bed was comfier than my own bed! Location was everything, and the view down the c - The quirkiness and location. it was strange not to have somewhere comfy to sit.
- Mikela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (9/5): Superb -
- Eric (8/5): Very good -
