Et pourtant, rien à redire : nous avons même été agréablement surpris par la grande fluidité, la qualité et la précision du service à tous les niveaux (réception, conciergerie, restauration), qui a contribué à notre apaisement et bien être sur place. Au-delà de la beauté des lieux et des chambres (minimalistes, mais bien équipées), nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'énergie des lieux, bien animés, et l'ambiance décontractée / chic. - arnonb781 (10/5): An AMAZING HOTEL with an AMAZING TEAM. - An AMAZING HOTEL with an AMAZING TEAM. EDITION TORANAMON is an absolutely amazing hotel with a one of a kind team. This hotel is an example of hospitality level beyond perfection ! We came for a 12 days stay, 7 people, four rooms. As you enter the lobby on the 31st floor you enter an oasis of plants and you feel the special vibe, the unique decor, a fresh and refreshing scent and a unique view from high above the city. Hotel starts on the 31st floor and goes up to the 36th. All rooms have a view above the city, and one hears nothing of the hassle down in the street level. Underground station is right outside and it takes only 5-6 minutes to reach the platforms. Upon arrival a team member welcomed us, sat with us and explained all we needed to know during our stay. Every single team member was out there to welcome us and assist in whatever we needed. The team at all positions is extremely friendly, extremely attentive and welcoming truly at an outstanding level. Two members went out of their way during our stay: Mr. Ankush Tadndon , Director of Rooms who truly went out of his way and TOUCHED us all with his approach to assist on a personal matter. Mr. Harry of the Guest Relations attended on us every single day of our stay and acted like a true host. Marco, the Chef of the hotel came out a few times to hear firsthand how we were doing. We had repeating pleasant and interesting conversations with Asahi who attended on us a few times when we dined in the hotel. I would have loved to mention others by their names but they do not carry name tags. The hotel: Rooms are spacious, 40+ sq mrs with a convenient and spacious bathroom having a large rain shower next to a tub. There is a separate WC. Elevators are arriving fast. Those who travel frequently know this is not obvious. Dining: There are 3 different options for dining. Food and service were exquisite! You can often judge a hotel by its breakfast. On a holiday like ours this is the kick-off for the day. The Breakfast at the Edition is luxurious with a sumptuous choice at the buffet plus one course which you can order à la carte. By recommendation of the team I tried two of the Japanese Breakfast options (Oiniri and Wonton soup) and they were delicious and I had them a few times. Last but not least - the breakfast TEAM - what a team ! The TEAM at Breakfast was absolutely fantastic and they made the start of every day a great one. The SPA experience was also outstanding! The Edition Toranamon is an exquisite hotel having a class of its own. The score is 11 out of 10. We will definitely be back!

- byronp995 (10/5): Amazing hotels with Great Staff, beautiful views - I was really torn about where to stay in Tokyo while visiting with my family at the beginning of Cherry Blossom Season. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised and its no wonder that it was voted one of the top 50 hotels in the world. It was the perfect juxtaposition of the west meets Japan, traditional with a modern blend. Beautiful lobby with one of the best views of the city and more importantly amazing staff. I read some of the other reviews but it was definitely not the experience my family and I had. The staff were just amazing to us, even better than some at the Ritz, Four Seasons and Belmonds. To start, Nalani from the concierge team was a true gem. I must have emailed her a zillion times and she responded quickly and helpfully. She single handedly helped me plan my whole trip to Japan. We arrived exhausted from an overnight flight with our young kids and the manager allowed us to get breakfast. A small thing for them but meant the world to us. We were also able to get ready for the day in their SPA. So not sure what other people expect but you can pay four times as much at other high end hotels and not get the same service. After some thorough research, we picked the edition because the rooms are considered bigger than most of the hotels in Tokyo!!! Although Tokyo is a big city, the rooms are on the smaller side and its very difficult to find a place that is large enough with extra storage space. The only thing that I did not love was the food. The breakfast muffins and fruit were great, but maybe its just hard to make American food? I did not love the fluffy, eggier pancakes. The Gold Bar at the edition is considered to be one of the best in the city but the cocktails fell short in my opinion. Perhaps my opinion is a bit skewed because the cocktails in NYC are so good. Overall, we had such an amazing stay and we felt very much at home at the Edition at the Toranomon hills.

Like all Edition rooms, there’s a nice modern design, ample size, nice amenities and that branded scent. The hotel starts on floor 31, so great views. The entrance for taxis is a little tricky. There is a subway entrance just outside the hotel. And there is a 7-11 one block away. The overnight complementary shoe shine service is particularly impressive. I found all the staff at check in to be very helpful. The gym is pretty small and in a windowless room. The pool requires a reservation. We did have somewhat disappointing service at the lobby bar on a Monday night
- moirakinney (10/5): Loved Everything About This Hotel - I loved staying at this hotel. The decor/vibe is very modern, zen, spa-like. The lobby/bar area is filled with plants, light wood tones, and large windows with great views of the Tokyo Tower and surrounding area. A great place to return to after long days touring the city. Rooms have modern minimalist decor with spacious bathrooms and very comfortable beds. Food and service at the restaurants was excellent, including daily breakfast, bar, and lunch at the Blue Room. Service was great throughout - always greeted when coming and going. I reached out to the concierge before arriving to make restaurant reservation and room accommodation and they were responsive and took care of my requests. Last, the location was perfect for us. Away from the busy tourist hubs but still close enough for quick transfers and the train was right next the hotel (literally an underground passageway right outside the hotel exit). Would recommend to anyone visiting Tokyo.

- 776DavidT (8/5): The good and the bad - Stayed 3 nights at the Edition at Toranomon. Was really excited to try this hotel, which they advertise as being on the World's Best top 50 list. First of all, some of the good. Although I read some poor reviews on the service, I thought the service was excellent and that was definitely not one of the shortcomings in my case. Everyone was attentive and friendly and we were well taken care of throughout the stay. Any issues with service must have been addressed by now or some people may have had some one off bad experiences. Also, the location was excellent. Right next to the Kamiacho subway station, it was really easy to take the subway to most of the popular spots. The bad. The rooms were OK sized for Japanese standards but not large by western standards. Also, I understand the minimalist design but the rooms were not practical. No dresser to put your cloths in and only one small closet with some hangers so we basically lived in suitcases on the ground. We had come from skiing so had about 6 bags on the ground, which made the room messy and took away from any minimalist design. Also, the bathroom tub and shower was a plastic pre-formed design that reminds me of bathrooms in cheap Japanese motels. Definitely not what I was expecting from a 5 star. Also, the hotel is located on the top floors of an office building so the amenities are sparse. The gym was small and crowded when i was there so only stayed about 15 minutes. Taxi drivers did not know where the hotel was because it is not apparent from the street and the entrance is via a basement. So, the hotel was by no means bad but for a $1,000+ per night hotel for a standard room, I really think I could do better next time. It was good but probably not great enough for me to come back next year.

I’ve stayed at many five-star hotels around the world, but this property truly stands out for its service, atmosphere, and attention to detail. Check‑in was effortless and genuinely welcoming, every interaction felt sincere rather than scripted. Throughout my stay, every team member seemed to remember my name, which added such a personal touch. The service here reflects a level of refined Japanese hospitality that feels elegant yet warm, and without question, this is the best EDITION hotel I’ve experienced to date. Breakfast was outstanding with a thoughtful selection of dishes prepared to perfection, and the Italian member of the dining team went above and beyond each morning, always attentive, friendly, and professional. The pool and public spaces are beautifully designed, and the views of Tokyo Tower are absolutely spectacular, especially in the evening. The location couldn’t be better for both exploring the city and enjoying a quieter, more sophisticated side of Tokyo. The staff made us feel right at home, with some pre-arranged goodies to greet us in the room. We had a great time at the pool there, and a truly excellent meal at the Blue Room. Sylvia Chu, one of its assistant reservation managers there, took extra special care of us and made our stay unforgettable. Special thanks to her and the team for a wonderful stay!

- Jimplis (10/5): Luxury City Break - The Tokyo Edition oozes luxury from the moment you walk in. The staff could not help more and the welcome of the restaurant is so relaxing when you arrive, with fantastic food and an amazing view. The room was set up really nicely upon arrival (we were early) and we had a terrace with great view day and night.
- 931justiny (10/5): The best hotel in Tokyo - I’ve stayed at nearly every five-star hotel in Tokyo including Aman but I’ve stopped looking elsewhere because EDITION, Toranomon is simply the best. First, I’ve now stayed here 25+ times, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a single issue, and I am a pretty discerning guest considering that I spend more than half of the year in luxury hotels. The staff and management are consistently attentive, warm, and highly professional. Housekeeping is equally exceptional—rooms are always pristine and meticulously maintained. If you can book a room with Tokyo Tower views, it’s genuinely spectacular. The property’s bar program is also a standout: The Gold Bar and the Lobby Bar are both excellent, with a great atmosphere and consistently strong service. The food program is another win, service is reliably high quality and well executed. The only downside I could even think of is that the hotel lacks a sauna and a full spa/onsen-style wellness area.

- 630mistyb (6/5): Disappointing Customer Service - I am a loyal BonVoy Marriott member and chose Marriott almost exclusively when I travel. I also frequent their bars and restaurants often. Monday evening, 1 Dec at the lobby bar, I was asked to leave after 2 hours as it was policy. I said ok no problem but as I sat and looked around at a mostly empty bar I began to wonder why I was asked to leave. It was Monday evening, the bar had many open seats and was not busy. On my way out I asked if I had offended anyone because being asked to leave felt very unusual when it was clearly not a busy night. The staff couldn’t explain why the policy was being applied. I was simply told it’s on a case by case basis. I left it at that and wished everyone a good night. It felt like poor customer service and lack of staff training. I understand having the policy on busy nights but in my experience on slow nights these type of policies are often not enforced unless the customer is causing a problem which is why I asked if I had offended anyone. The experience didn’t line up with the great service I normally receive at Marriott.

Plants everywhere to act as screens. Super friendly international team welcomes you. Lobby has the Blue room, Jade room, Lounge, and round the back - spa, pool, gym. Very large floor plate. Rooms Modern, minimalist. Clean lines, lots of wood, and soft colours. Room is generally quiet and we had views of Tokyo Tower. Amazing sight at night. I could hear the middle express lift (basement to lobby on 31st floor) from our room (3426) at night and in the early mornings. Unique mechanical whining as it stops. Cupboard had bathrobe, bedroom slippers, bags for laundry, iron and iron board, bag rack, safe. Loads of hangers and storage space for jackets. Next to it is a cubby hole for to “pay for”liquor and free Nespresso coffee and tea. Cupboard below has drawers for cups/saucers, wine glasses, snacks. There’s a small fridge at eye level that contains soft drinks (pay for consumption). Large TV on the wall, and a long table to spread your junk or work from. There’s a USB and plug point in the desk. Bed is super king and very comfortable. Above the Side table are the light switches, USB ports and plug point points. Bathroom Long counter top that spans almost the width of the room. Walk-in shower and bath tub, separate toilet with all the wash functions. Toiletries, amenities and towels under the sink. Same for hair dryer. Food at Jade Room Great food at the Jade room. Chef is British. Brings his culinary flair to Japanese ingredients. Very well put together omakase menu. Tasty and unusual. Staff here very polite and knows their wines/sake. I had standard wine pairing and it was excellent. Lounge We had tokens to use and the bar menu was dabomb. Lots of choices. We went for a martini and an old fashioned. Gym Lots of machines for cardio. Smaller area for some weights machines, free weights and kettle bells. Lots of Yoga mats. I was in there with 6 other weight users and it was crammed. Only 1 other using the thread mill. But generally it’s 3-4 people spread across the gym. Indoor pool needs reservations to use. Understand it’s a small area, and have to fair to all users. We also thought that the Conceirge team was quite overworked. They seemed to be inundated with requests for bookings. We asked them to book a specific sushi restaurant and they somehow booked a sister sushi restaurant. We were lucky the restaurant was in the same building. We had a great time at the hotel. Although it started off a bit of a shock to the system (music, perfumed air, and loads of green plants), we grew to like the hotel. The staff here are great and I appreciated that they were from many Asian and international countries. They were inquisitive and ever-helpful; definitely only wanting to make your day better. Hotel is 6min walk to Toranomon hills and there’s lots to eat on the 4th floor and on the basement. Also, the hotel building is connected to Kamiyacho station. We hope we will be back here sometime in the future. Highly recommended!

- rayana18 (4/5): Welcome to the Dubai/Paris of Japan, the Snobbish Edition Toranomon - We really wanted to love this hotel—but it turned out to be one of the biggest disappointments of our trip. During our stay, we tried to book a table for sunset at the lobby bar. What followed was a complete service failure. First, the bar reception told us it was first-come-first-serve and that reservations weren’t possible. We were shocked—last year, we had a confirmed reservation for the same bar at the same time. Later that evening, we asked again at the reception desk. The staff repeated the same line until we mentioned our Platinum and Gold status. Only then did he say he would “try” to see if he could reserve a table for us. When we asked if he could call us back to confirm, his response was unbelievable: he said he couldn’t call guests back and that we would need to message him through the app to follow up. At a so-called five-star hotel, this is absurd. The next day, we asked again—this time we were told the lobby was fully booked. Only after escalating to a manager did we finally get a table in our own hotel. The experience at Gold Bar was equally poor. Staff were inattentive and dismissive—we had to stand up to ask for service and even to request the bill. There were many other disappointing moments: • No recognition of our Bonvoy status at check-in. • No mention or attempt at an upgrade. • Staff tried to avoid offering our welcome drinks until we raised it The Blue Room was closed two days a week. We didn’t have the chance to try it. At the spa, things weren’t any better. When we first inquired about massages, we were told the 60-minute option only covered the upper body. So we deliberately booked the 90-minute session to ensure a full-body treatment and specifically requested focus on our legs after weeks of walking in Japan. Despite this, the therapist spent less than ten minutes on our legs. For a 90-minute treatment, that is unacceptable and shows a complete disregard for guest requests. You’d think by paying top-dollar you will get the epitome of modern Japanese luxury—but what you actually get is a team of poorly trained, young, non-Japanese, and often pretentious staff who have no understanding of true hospitality. At times, we felt like we were dealing with nightclub bouncers rather than five-star hotel employees. Inside the Edition Toranomon, you don’t feel like you’re in Japan at all. After a full month across Japan staying in properties of all levels—even small, family-run ryokans—we can confidently say that every other place treated us with more warmth, respect, and professionalism than this. Despite being a long-time Bonvoy member, I will look elsewhere for future high-end stays in Tokyo. Japanese-owned brands still understand what true hospitality means. Special thanks to Diego from Concierge who was the opposite and was very helpful throughout our stay.
- X1680KQandrewk (4/5): Very Poor Front Desk Staff - I stayed at The Tokyo EDITION, Toranomon for two nights on a recent work trip. My company typically selects hotels for business travel, so I don’t always have full autonomy, but if I have a choice in the future I’d likely stay elsewhere in Tokyo where service and elite recognition feel stronger. I’m an Ambassador Elite member, and overall I found the front desk experience surprisingly disappointing for a property at this level. The front desk staff I interacted with were generally unpleasant and unwelcoming, and I ultimately had to escalate to a manager in order to receive a 4 p.m. late checkout benefit. It set a negative tone for the stay and didn’t align with what I’ve come to expect from Marriott’s luxury brands. On the positive side, the concierge team was excellent. They provided thoughtful dining recommendations and suggested a great tea shop, which genuinely elevated my time in the city. My room itself was large, quiet, and very comfortable—what you’d expect from a hotel of this caliber. The gym was well equipped and had a nice complimentary selection of fresh fruit, and I appreciated the shoe-shine service, which was convenient on a work trip. Overall, while the room itself and concierge service met expectations, the attitude and responsiveness at the front desk fell short. For the rates and brand positioning of this hotel—especially as an Ambassador Elite—I would expect a warmer, more proactive level of service.

They even prepared a breakfast box and coffee for my friend who had an early flight before breakfast hours. Truly exceptional! Perfect ending to our trip in Japan.

Завтраки до 11.00 и не выгоняют (очень актуально с разницей во времени) Сильно навязчивый запах. Да, это «фишка» отеля, но когда этот запах везде, даже в спорт зале - хочется убавить. Мало крючков и супер маленькое зеркало в ванной. Честно говоря, качество материалов оставляет желать лучшего - ощущение дешевого ламината…

- AFoodieDMV (10/5): Must stay - I was looking for a reasonable hotel in Tokyo and this exceeded our expectations. The rooms are contemporary, spacious, clean and view of Tokyo Tower was right outside of our window. Service from valet, check in, concierge and restaurants were impeccable. The lobby on the 31st floor is very serene and has beautiful views of the city. There is also a restaurant and bar on the lobby level.. on a Wednesday night they had a DJ set up by the bar - great vibe. We had a king room with the Tokyo tower view and a room with 2 queens with a city view. The *only* downside is that even though I had our a/c as low as it would go, it didn’t keep the room chilled at that temperature in either room. The breakfast was phenomenal and the bar service is great - can’t go wrong staying here.

This hotel truly acknowledges and honors Marriott elite status, which made us feel valued and appreciated. The view from our room was simply breathtaking, offering a panoramic vista of the cityscape. One of the unique highlights was the welcome gift waiting in our room - an edible sand garden crafted with chocolate truffles and other delightful treats. This thoughtful gesture added a special touch to our stay. The room service was impeccable, ensuring our comfort and satisfaction at every turn. The hotel also boasts a fantastic bar at the top, perfect for unwinding with a drink while taking in the stunning views. Every aspect of our stay at Tokyo Edition was meticulously curated to provide an unforgettable experience, and we couldn’t find a single flaw to mention. Overall, Tokyo Edition exceeded our expectations in every way, making it our favorite hotel in Japan.
- Markus (7/5): Tolles Hotel mit Trend zur Abzocke - Tolle Lage und grandioser Ausblick, Frühstück war massiv überteuert und nur gegen Aufpreis gab es Ei, Omelett und so weiter Man musste die Poolbenutzung reservieren, obgleich niemand da war. Saune kostetet extra, wie eigentlich fast alles extra kostete. Bei diesem Preis erwarte ich alle diese Dinge natürlich inklusive. Ein Mietauto kostet in Tokyo rund 100€ pro Tag, über die Rezeption jedoch 1000€ , man fühlt sich an allen Ecken und Enden etwas abgezockt. Man sollte sich da an Four Seasons ein Beispiel nehmen.

Sometimes it is lack of hospitality gesture and feel too informal. After all, it is a luxury property and price, so I hope for a better service. Everything is 4/5 except the dinner restaurant which is 2/5. Bad food, nowhere near a Michelin standard.
- LisaBenz520 (10/5): A warm yet chic refuge with incredible service - Absolutely gorgeous hotel with city views that will make your jaw drop! I joined my husband on a business trip and had one of the most memorable stays. The rooms are gorgeously appointed, comfortable beds and automated curtains that made waking up and going to sleep a dream. Housekeeping was PRISTINE. Day one I was greeted (upon returning from dinner), with all of my travel products perfectly organized and arranged. They never missed a THING, making sure anything that was used was replenished, leaving tons of non-plastic water bottles, even an origami bookmark on our books on two occasions. I mean really! Turn down service was fab. The front desk was incredible! A young, smart and patient group. We were warmly greeted and acknowledged whenever we walked by. Celine was such a special member of the front desk team. She absolutely saved me with patience and compassion when I left my key in my room and helped me get in. She was always engaging and kind whenever we passed through her space. I was so touched to receive a gift of beautiful products from her upon our departure (including a candle with the hotel’s signature scent which was to DIE FOR). Is it possible to be homesick from a hotel? Let’s talk about the Spa which is a must. We made an appointment for a last minute couples’ massage after a long, long week of 30k steps daily (and work for my husband). They were so accommodating in squeezing us in. The couples’ massage takes place in a private suite complete with private shower, dry sauna and beautiful products. The massage (which started with a foot ritual and ended with tea and treats) was one of the best we have ever had and we get massages frequently. This was a highlight of our entire trip, our expectations were so far exceeded, we’re so glad we went! The pool is immaculate and such a zen way to decompress. We were so busy running around the city, we almost ALMOST missed the opportunity to sit in the lounge area to enjoy a drink while gazing at the Tokyo Tower. WOW wow wow. The entire lounge and bar area are a standout. Tons of beautiful non alcoholic options on the menu which earns extra stars for this sober sally. The incredible complementary snacks are the actual cherry on top not to mention the true highlight-the efficient and warm service which was of course in line with our entire experience at this hotel.

- kk0990 (8/5): Stylish Hotel in a Prime Location, But In-Room Dining Disappoints - The Tokyo Edition Toranomon is located in an excellent area, making it convenient to explore the city. The rooms are stylish, modern, and kept impeccably clean. However, I was quite disappointed with the in-room dining experience. The menu had very limited options, especially for vegetarians, and by the time the food arrived, it was cold and unappetizing. Also, many of the hotel’s paid amenities—including airport transfers and tours—are extremely expensive, which may not suit every traveler’s budget. Overall, a beautiful property with room for improvement in value and food service.

Everything about our stay was top-notch, from the rooms, to the service at the front desk and taxi area, to the restaurant. The front desk was exceptionally helpful, assisting with shipping luggage to our Kyoto hotel and to Haneda. But the best part was the views of Tokyo Tower from the restaurant, which were spectacular. The breakfast was amazing. We visited the Ginza Edition and it looked nice but felt cramped in comparison and lacked the views and the feeling of grandeur of the Toranomon location. I would enthusiastically stay here again.
