Our first stay was in April 2025, we loved it so much that we came back for my wife’s birthday, stayed in room 12664 from 24/11/25 - 29/11/25 (Mr and Mrs L) The standard and the service are like nowhere we’ve experienced! We constantly dream of coming back here! The service was unbelievable, they can’t do enough for you! The facilities in the hotel are unparalleled! Whatever you call concierge for, they will sort it instantly! We hardly left the hotel! We ate at Ling Ling and Carbone, stayed at Nobu by the beach most days, all of which were amazing! We are ate at Hestons in April too which was also amazing! We can’t wait to come back in November 2026 to celebrate her birthday again! I have no negatives to say what so ever

Check-in was slow, disorganized, and chaotic. The staff seemed unsure of what they were doing and not up to the standard of a hotel that markets itself as ultra-luxury. The real problem happened at checkout on the morning of October 19th. When I reviewed my final bill, I noticed several charges that I did not authorize. I asked the front-desk agent on duty to review them with me. Instead of properly addressing the issue, he disappeared to the back for several minutes — while my airport transfer was waiting and I was at risk of missing my flight. When he returned, he rushed me and told me, “We’ll handle this later by email — go catch your flight.” I trusted him and left without signing the final folio, based on his assurance that the incorrect charges would be fixed. The interaction felt pushy, evasive, and extremely suspicious — it felt less like customer service and more like someone trying to get me out the door without resolving anything. Once I returned home, I discovered that nothing had been corrected. The invalid charges were still there, and I ultimately had to file a dispute with my credit card company. Even after all that, I was still left out hundreds of dollars. The checkout staff member from October 19th needs to be held accountable — his handling of the situation felt misleading and unethical. For a property at this price level, this behavior is unacceptable. Guests should not be rushed, brushed off, or told “we’ll fix it later” when money is involved. A hotel that claims to be world-class should handle billing disputes transparently and professionally — not leave guests fighting charges after they leave. I strongly recommend that anyone staying here review every single charge before leaving the property, because once you’re gone, it does not feel like the hotel stands behind its word. On a positive note, I want to acknowledge the valet team, who were one of the few bright spots during my stay. While I was waiting for my car, they were polite, attentive, and genuinely hospitable — even offering bottled water and checking in on me during the short wait. Their professionalism and kindness were a stark contrast to the disorganized front-desk experience, and they truly went above and beyond in their service.

However when I was waiting for the valet to bring my car to me I was shocked to see that my car just went down the ramp again without waiting for me to even stand up and reach it, so I called the staff there and Juban did an amazing job to inform the other colleagues to bring the car back. And I just wanted to thank their professionality and appreciate how quick they acted when I informed them of the incident.

- gingadj99 (10/5): The new standard for 5 stars in Dubai - We spent two nights here in November having moved from the Address at JBR. It was like chalk and cheese. Whilst the Atlantis appears to be very flashy and bling, staying here has an air of restrained elegance. It has managed to elevate itself from many of the other hotels around it, and long may that last. Service was great, food excellent, room great and the resort managed to have a calmness around it that felt restorative. The Gym was great and whilst I didnt use the Spa, I intend to next time. We will definitely return.

- 826margaretd (6/5): The not so Royal Atlantis the Royal - Beautiful hotel, however I found the front of house staff unreliable. We arrived very early to the hotel. Our choice but we did not get our room until 5.30 pm. We were travelling as two couples and asked if we could have rooms near each other. I did not think this would be an issue as we booked together. Wrong, it seemed to be a huge issue. One couple got their room at 3.30 but i did not get mine till 5.30 as they advised the people in the room were late checking out. I was advised they would e mail me but instead of that they called my son and said they would bring the keys to his room and we waited a further 45 minutes for that to happen. As we had been at the hotel from 7 am I fail to understand why there was such an issue with rooms near each other. Very bad service. On several occasions there appeared to be a language barrier resulting in the wrong drinks arriving. Going to the royal lounge which carries a hefty charge which we pre paid for, we were constantly asked for our room number more than once each visit for the first few days. Almost harassment! The half board is complicated and the buffet is not included in half board you actually have to pay to go there for dinner. I feel there is a lack of information and this is partly the fault of travel agents as well as it is not clear that you have a credit amount for meals or a set menu. The credit is not applicable to all restaurants either, shock the buffet restaurant for one! The Cloud 22 is not available for guests for free, guest or not you have to pay. Not sure i would go again it carries a hefty price tag for drinks too. Premium prices when I feel they have a way to go on their service. In the Elements bar no one seemed sure what time it closed for last drinks! I had a wonderful time but that was due to who I was with.

On the first day, we were unhappy with the late check‑in process, which was disappointing after a long journey. But once we settled in, everything turned around. We enjoyed the rest of our stay immensely. The resort offers so many services and experiences that it’s impossible not to have a great time. Since the weather was perfect on our first day, we headed straight to the water park and had an amazing time. From the following day onward, we spent most of our time by the pool and especially at the beach, which became our favorite spot to relax. For dinner, we especially enjoyed Milos. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, and the service was warm and attentive. The Mediterranean dishes were incredibly fresh — you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The seafood, in particular, was outstanding, prepared simply but perfectly, just the way Mediterranean cuisine should be. The presentation was beautiful without feeling overly complicated, and every dish felt light, flavorful, and thoughtfully crafted. Dining at Milos became one of the highlights of our evenings at the resort. even though this vacation was quite long, the five days we spent at the Royal Atlantis were the highlight. I also want to mention a very special person at the resort: Lasith. He took care of us at the beach and made our experience exceptional. He was attentive, thoughtful, and always made sure our needs were met. His personalized service truly stood out. He even recommended the Lychee Delight, which turned out to be amazing. Anyone who meets him will feel the warmth and professionalism he brings — he is a real gem at the Royal Atlantis. We do have a few suggestions for improvement. Because of the fountain, we had trouble sleeping at night, and it would be wonderful to have hot-water showers available around the pool area. Also, the check‑in process definitely needs more attention to avoid delays for future guests. Despite these small issues, our stay was fantastic, and we look forward to returning. Overall, our experience at the Royal Atlantis was very good. Once we got past the initial delay at check‑in, everything else about the stay exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere, the service, the food, and the variety of activities all came together to create a truly enjoyable holiday. We felt relaxed, well taken care of, and fully able to enjoy every moment of our five‑day stay.
- I914TKalir (2/5): Worst Hotel Experience of Our Lives, Ruined Our Honeymoon - We booked Atlantis the Royal Dubai for our honeymoon expecting a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Instead, it was the worst and most disappointing stay we have ever had. On arrival, the staff at the desk offered minimal assistance – cold, uninterested, and unwelcoming. For a supposed “7-star” resort, the service was worse than a budget hotel. There was nothing special arranged for our honeymoon. Not even a small gesture, despite this being one of the most expensive hotels in Dubai. The room itself was dirty. A strong bad smell hit us immediately – in the hallway, in the drawers, in the bathroom, and even in the main bedroom until we drowned it with spray. Even the bedding had a damp, mouldy smell, which was revolting to sleep on. To make it worse, the AC didn’t work properly, so the room was hot and stuffy all night. Pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable. When we complained, the manager (Shareef) was one of the rudest we have ever dealt with in any hotel worldwide. He was condescending, dismissive, and completely unapologetic. He even lied about rooms being unavailable, despite clearly having empty ones, and tried to charge us extra to move. Not once did he apologise. Instead, he made us feel like a nuisance on our own honeymoon. Basic service was appalling. At one point, after being exhausted and jetlagged, I requested food to be brought up to the room. Staff refused, saying I must collect it myself. I then agreed due to their safety protocols but would have thought they would make an exception due to my circumstances. It was 3am, and I accidentally grabbed the wrong room key in the dark, trying not to wake my wife up. After picking up food staff refused to let me back up to my own room, making me wait downstairs for 20 minutes like a criminal. They even insisted I trek all the way back to reception instead of simply verifying my ID on the spot and helping. This was past 3am on my honeymoon. Absolutely disgusting treatment. The new room they eventually gave us was just as bad. Bedding again smelled damp, there was a constant buzzing/droning noise in the background, and construction work by the lifts kept us awake. We got almost no sleep. To make matters worse, staff in multiple areas, especially Cloud 22, were rude and arrogant. They treated us like an inconvenience rather than guests. The only polite people we encountered were the valet and bellboys – everyone else was ignorant and dismissive. The overall atmosphere - There was zero sense of hospitality. The place felt more like a shopping mall or even a zoo than a luxury hotel. It seemed designed purely for people to parade around and show off, not for genuine relaxation or romance. It couldn’t have been further from a peaceful honeymoon destination. This hotel completely ruined what should have been a special time. We cancelled our 3-night booking after just 1 night because it was unbearable. The hotel refused any real compensation – the best they could do was offer a free dinner, which was laughable compared to the stress, exhaustion, and ruined honeymoon we endured. Atlantis the Royal may look glamorous in photos, but behind the shiny exterior it is poorly run, unhygienic, noisy, and staffed by rude, untrained people who clearly don’t care about guests. For the price they charge, this place is a scam. Don’t be fooled by the Instagram marketing. If you value your money and your holiday, stay far away from Atlantis the Royal.
- 477angeliques (2/5): Incredible architecture and stunning visuals — but the real-life service experience is shockingly poor! - This stay supposed to be a birthday surprise from my husband, which is why my physical passport was safely held at another 5-star hotel in Abu Dhabi where we were still checked in. I had a clear digital copy, my husband had his original passport, and we even offered live confirmation from the Abu Dhabi hotel or immediate delivery by driver. Despite this, we were denied access to our room and the beach club until the passport would physically arrive from Abu Dhabi. No flexibility, no common sense, no hospitality. We stayed in various 5-star hotels in Dubai, UAE and around the world - something like this never happened to us in any other luxury property! Beautiful hotel, iconic architecture — but service that simply does not live up to even a 1-star hotel.

Nevertheless, housekeeping is really good, especially, Ikmal Muhammad, I guess, he was responsible for our room number, and we were kind of impressed of his caring and attentive service. Thanks for that! Also important to mention a great man near the pool with ice cream, my younger brother was a regular customer of his and always received a nice conversation and had a good mood! It’s our second stay here and really liked it both times, but there is a large problem with reserving tables at any restaurants in the hotel. There are literally no restaurants that won’t be totally booked even if you try to reserve them two days ahead. For example, we wanted to try new carbon restaurant and we've been trying to book it since the first day of our vacation! We rested for 9 days and couldn’t get a table for 4 people! From my perspective such a luxury service in hotel should provide places in restaurants for their customers. In general, this holiday was a blessing, and we enjoyed it! We hope hotel will enhance their restaurant reservation system and policy, so that customers get an absolute ideal service!

An example would be how a lost beach hat was handled. A mix-up meant that my wife’s beach hat was delivered to the wrong room. The hat wasn’t expensive but had sentimental value. The guest services team went as far as checking the cctv to locate the hat. They found it and then delivered sparkling wine, flowers and sweets to our room to apologise. Simply returning the hat was enough but they exceeded all expectations by going the extra mile. Abdelhqq was exceptionally helpful and we really appreciated his efforts. I will be returning and I highly recommend the hotel.

Every detail is so well looked after, whether that be amenities in the faultless gym to readiness of the housekeeping team. Every aspect of this hotel is perfectly put together, the whole hotel, surroundings and presence blow you away from the moment you walk in. If there was anything I would comment on, and I would like to point that it did not at all impact our stay but more a word of advice to management reading this review is that by 9am, the food smells from The Royal Club Lounge start to emanate into the Promenade Level of the hotel lobby but other than that, we really can’t speak more highly of this resort! Can’t wait to return already!

- isabellafari (8/5): A refined stay with moments of Magic - We recently stayed at this very elegant hotel to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Overall, it was a lovely experience, though there were a few areas that could be improved. Our arrival was the only moment that felt less than seamless. Check-in was quite slow, and we had to wait downstairs for some time. The receptionist, while professional, was not as warm or accommodating as one would expect from a hotel of this level. I inquired about the possibility of an upgrade for the occasion, understanding that upgrades are never guaranteed, but the response was rather abrupt and gave no impression that any effort was made to check availability. I had hoped they might have made a bit more of an effort, perhaps by checking whether an upgrade was available as it was only 1 night, the way it was handled felt quite dismissive, which was unexpected for a hotel of this caliber. Once in our room, however, everything was truly beautiful. The space was elegant, spotless, and very well appointed, with a gorgeous bathroom and a spectacular view. Well done house keeping team , always greeting us with the biggest smile ! The only inconvenience was the luggage delivery, which took quite a long time and required follow-up calls. We enjoyed access to the water park, which is fantastic for families, and also visited the newly renovated aquarium. It is beautifully done, with excellent lighting and a charming mermaid show that adds a magical touch. Dining at Nobu was pleasant, though not as exceptional as we had expected, the service was fine but not particularly memorable. Breakfast, on the other hand, offered an impressive variety of options and excellent food. However, it was extremely crowded, which took away a bit from the sense of luxury, and the service during breakfast felt slow due to the volume of guests. The healthy section was my personal favorite. Check-out was another area with room for improvement. The queues were long, and since our bill had already been settled, an express check-out option would have greatly enhanced the departure experience. Despite these few hiccups, we had a wonderful stay overall. The atmosphere, the elegance of the room, and the beautiful fountain show all contributed to a memorable experience. With a bit more attention to guest flow and service warmth, this hotel has the potential to be truly exceptional.

We travel a lot, but nothing compares to this place. Absolutely nothing. From the moment we stepped inside, I just kept thinking, “Wow… this is unbelievable.” A huge thank you to General Manager & Senior Vice President Olivier Bonard. You can truly feel his leadership everywhere in the hotel. Things run smoothly, the staff is warm, and the entire experience feels incredibly personal. I also really want to mention Emma, Oliver, and Maryia Isachenka — all so kind, polished, and genuinely focused on guests. We stayed in a Sea Terrace Family Suite on a high floor with beautiful Palm views, and honestly, the view alone could be a reason to come back. Watching the water and The Palm every morning was magical. The terrace was huge and peaceful, and the room design felt modern, clean, and very luxurious. I didn’t want to leave the suite. The Front Office team was wonderful, and the Concierge, especially Hany, helped us so much. He arranged things quickly, even at busy times, and always with a smile. We are vegetarian, and I was very impressed with the vegetarian options at Gastronomy. Fresh, flavorful, and so many choices. Manager Lan runs the restaurant beautifully. Chef Rawat Diwakar and Chef Ankit Kulmi made sure we always had delicious things to enjoy. Really appreciated their effort. The Royal Club Lounge team — Jetti, Chef Sumith, and Jenny Lyn Caraig — were extremely sweet and attentive. It felt like they knew us personally by the end of the stay. And I must give a big thank you to Nikki from Housekeeping. Our suite was spotless every single day. Atlantis The Royal is now one of our absolute FAVORITE hotels in the world. We are already excited to return.
- spena (10/5): Total indulgence in serene surroundings. - Superlative fail me. Omg we literally dipped our toes into this stunning location, curtesy of our son, my wife’s birthday gift. From arrival for breakfast, at Gastronomy, the service was exemplary as was the venue. Never have I experienced a buffet like it with global delicacies all prepared and served with genuine passion. Following breakfast we were again gifted a day at the pool or beach, choosing the later. The decent through the hotel simply exuded opulence on every level, literally. On arrival at the beach our server introduced himself and ensured our experience exceeded any other, as it did. The beach was immaculate with lifeguards in abundance. (Had we have had our granddaughters with us we would’ve been confident in their safety and security.) This is a spectacular venue. We held Ikos resorts in high esteem, and still do. That said if I won the lottery I’d be compelled to spoil the family. This venue is truly amazing, spectacular was my wife’s description.

Breakfast was the largest and highest-quality buffet I’ve ever had — everything was delicious. All the staff were very kind and welcoming, making us feel so comfortable from the moment we arrived. The infinity pool can get busy in the afternoon, but the view is absolutely breathtaking. The hotel itself is spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed — luxury with a modern, elegant, minimalist touch! A special thank you to Rachna, Musa, and Aati for taking such great care of our room. Their attention to detail and warm hospitality made our stay even better. Truly a 10/10 experience — highly recommend if you’re looking for something extra special stay!

Great breakfast at gastronomy,Had lunch at Nobu by the beach and few drinks at cloud22 . All the venues were perfect from food , drinks and to the service.Stayed in Royal club Sea lounge most of our time and we were always very well .Shenal at club lounge deserves a special mention and a great asset to the hotel . - maB3557AT (2/5): Overall, it is not value for money - Pros: - Good location - Good food - As it is a new hotel, the quality of the rooms and their new fittings is good - some staff are very kind, but not all Cons: - Atlantis and Cloud 22 leadership and management favour monetary extraction and maximisation over guests comfort. - the guests rooms are fully integrated with general public (or non-guests) entry and access, which makes me feel like I am staying in a shopping centre Suggestion: I'd recommend going there to experience various aspects as a general public entry and not as a hotel guest staying. Gave it one as my assessment is based on value for money and hospitality leadership, which Atlantis has failed in both (based on my experience). I hope people find this helpful and hope the hotel keeps doing the good parts and improve the other parts.

- B5575VPjanetc (10/5): Definitely Royal - This hotel definitely lives up to it's reputation, The room was above and beyond what I expected, beautiful view of Dubai, lounge area, separated bedroom leading into his and hers wardrobe, Bathroom has a large heated mirrored wall double sink and large egg bath. Bathroom has privacy glass that you can switch on and off. It's designed beautifully. Tea, coffe, stocked fridge. Everything is accessible from the remote control given. This hotel is a visitors attraction with its exclusive shops like Louis Vuitton and Graff. Also many exclusive restaurants and beach clubs like Cloud 22 and Nobu. I eat in Le Mar - Ling Ling and Milos, all amazing. I would book before I go as they do tend to get busy. I have done separate reviews for the restaurants and beach clubs. My advice would be to do your homework before you go as it's so big you can and up going to places that are not for you. You can go into the water park early before the public go in and access is from the back of the hotel. I did think the best thing about this hotel was the room. My only criticism is that it's so big it loses the personal touch like the Jumeirah has. I normally always give a shout out to a member of staff who stood out but on this occasion no one gave me that personal touch. I think it has to make its mind up what sort of hotel it wants to be. Just my personal opinion, but still an incredible place.

- D5417SDianr (10/5): Beautiful hotel with exceptional service… - What a fantastic hotel. Stayed here as part of my 60th birthday celebrations. From the moment we arrived you felt special and the hotel is magnificent. We stayed in a Club room and it is worth every penny for access to one of the best hotel lounges we have ever been to. The staff and management are first class. Nothing too much trouble and done with a smile. The longe literally serves Moët Champagne from frost thing until late at night. The bar selection is fantastic. Special mention to Nourin who looked after us and was always on hand to assist us with anything. The Nobo beach club is amazing and as a resident you get free access to this adult only pool. A few guests from outside the hotel come in around 12 noon but doesn’t get overcrowded as you have to book a sun bed. The restaurants are all fantastic but our favourite was Ling Ling. highly recommend.

- Rossacoosane (8/5): Exceptional staff but awful breakfast experience. - Staff throughout the hotel were well trained, courteous and helpful. Sanskar, assigned to our room, was exceptional. The hotel responded immediately to any of our requests. However, for me the hotel was much too large. The breakfast restaurant, Gastronomy, was vast and noisy. To me, a luxury experience demands a quiet breakfast where I can order from my table and have breakfast brought to me by a waiter. I don’t want to go from buffet to buffet in what feels like an airport terminal. Our dinner in Milos was very good.

- Anralira (10/5): Birthday staycation - Wonderful experience staying here for a day to celebrate birthdays in our family, Lobby is grand and impressive( but liked the detailing and designs of the Atlantis the palm better) though the royal felt less crowded and special. Also loved the fountain shows and the lighting. Certainly worth it for families who wish to visit the water park to stay at least a day or two.. family rooms with 2 queen beds accommodate 2 kids below 14 and are very spacious with wonderful views..,the breakfast spread was awesome but my kids eager to head to the water park which is open a half hour earlier to resort guests rushed through it.. overall one hotel you should not miss if you visit Dubai
