Guest Reviews
- Carolyn (10/5): Felt like a home away from home. - Want to make special mention of the desk staff who went above and beyond to make us welcome and added the meaningful touches that make a difference. They wrote their names down for me but I have since misplaced them so apologies, I can't name them individually but they were all wonderful and deserve big kudos.
- christina (8/5): Lovely stay again. Excellent location - Excellent location and friendly and helpful staff Slow bar service with limited drinks
- Maya (10/5): - My partner and I stayed at the hotel for 7 nights, and it was the best decision we made on this trip! Our whole experience was simply superb: the room was clean, spacious, and more than enough for two people. The bed was big and very comfortable, and the bathroom was also quite large and comfortable.
The cleaning service came in every day and also restocked the coffee and tea supplies, including two sets of delicious cookies. Everyone on the staff was extremely kind and even left us a bottle of wine and chocolates for my partner’s birthday. I would like to specifically thank Anas, who was very kind and even offered to come to our room personally to help us with the TV.
The hotel itself is in a very central location: just a 1-minute walk from an Underground station, Pret A Manger, Tesco, and a really nice park where you can sit and relax. We would definitely come back to this hotel! The only downside was the noise from the street, but it wasn’t very loud. We had the windows open, yet keeping them closed would probably make it completely fine.
- Anne (9/5): Was our first time in London. Expectations were high. Staff, location and accommodations did not disappoint. Would recom - Location and staff are excellent. Easy travel to anywhere in London. Tube and bus stations abound. Plenty of dining options from casual to fine within a ten minute walk.
- Donald (8/5): - Great location, really helpful staff, large and comfortable bed, large bathroom. An odd entrance and not much in the way of general facilities.
- Jayne (10/5): -
- Lydia (8/5): -
- lavinia (9/5): - Very personal attention to detail. Staff excellent. Went the extra mile to be helpful and welcoming.

- Janya (10/5): Overall, I had a very positive experience with excellent service, a well-designed room, and convenient facilities. Addin - What I really like here is the daily turndown service. It’s also very easy to get in touch with the staff, and the service is always quick and efficient. The room is well laid out with clearly separated areas, so when I cook, the smell doesn’t linger. I also appreciate that I can open the windows on multiple sides, which keeps the room feeling fresh and not stuffy. Another convenient feature is the rubbish disposal area near the lift, so I can take care of my own waste when I prefer not to have staff enter the room, and it helps prevent any food smells from building up. One small suggestion would be to provide a space for long-stay guests to hang towels or clothes, as it helps prevent damp smells. It would also be appreciated if water could be replenished daily without needing to request it.

- Andrew (10/5): Very comfortable - Great location
Clean and comfortable
- Annie (9/5): Great location, vintage feel, cozy rooms, lovely staff - I liked the easy check-in, on a main street but felt quiet, private and safe. I appreciated the size of the rooms and bathrooms. I liked the coffee/teas/good water all complimentary and the cheeky glass of wine poured upon arrival after a long travel day. There was an odd smell in elevator, hallway and reception - like strong room spray trying to mask a sewage problem.
- jean (9/5): Upmarket but not snobby - Staff were absolutely lovely, I think it was Esteban (could have his name wrong, sorry) who went really out of his way to help us. Room was nice and the location excellent. It is an upmarket hotel with all the comforts but none of the snootiness. I stayed at this hotel a while ago and was really impressed so I joined their programme, however, my next stay was awful, I was locked in the car park they had arranged and when I wrote to them saying how disappointed I was I just got a cut and paste answer saying they knew nothing about it...so it appears to me that your experience is dependent on booking via a third party
- Brent (6/5): - Good location! I really wanted to like this hotel but the bed and pillows were so uncomfortable that I didn’t sleep to two nights. The street noise didn’t help either. I came to London for an important work trip and unfortunately lack of sleep was a real problem.
- Susan (10/5): Great location and nice hotel. - Location, amenities and close to the Tube. Noth
- Sarah (9/5): Great Bloomsbury hotel. - Great location in Bloomsbury. Recently renovated historic building. Spotlessly clean. Nice room, lovely walk in shower, comfortable bed, nice bright room, that was a decent size for central London. Very friendly staff.
- David (9/5): Comfortable, cosy and convivial. - Convenient location, excellent staff plus a comfortable and quiet room The lack of a “proper” restaurant was noticeable but given the choice of restaurants cafes etc all around the hotel it was almost an irrelevance.
- Susan (9/5): Super hotel. Will definitely stay there again. - La really lovely room in a great location. Staff were super welcoming and friendly. Room was a little warm
- Andrew (10/5): Superior Choice, Amazing Hotel, great location - Amazing staff, friendly, helpful and welcoming. Room was clean, large and well stocked. Free bottle of wine was very much appreciated. Nothing was too much trouble Nothing.
- OnAir551050 (10/5): Perfect hotel! - Perfect Hotel for a stay (business or tourism) in central London. Very kind and attentive reception staff (Aytul was super!) and most rooms are big and quiet. I stay here whenever
I visit for business. All is in the room from toothbrush to tea.
- roor2026 (10/5): Come for the great location, stay for Aytul and her amazing team - 5 star hospitality from Aytul and the whole team. She got me a comfortable larger room, took care of me throughout my five night stay. Just fantastic hospitality for a hectic business trip. Will def be back
- 518eaj (10/5): I'll be back. Welcoming and comfortable. - This was the perfect spot for my meetings in central London. Pretty much everywhere walkable or with public transport. From check in it was clear there's a very friendly and attentive atmosphere here. Aytul at reception is a gem, and any of the other staff I interacted with were also very friendly and helpful.
My room was very comfortable, clean and properly generous in terms of amenities. I'll be coming back with my family, and was even able to have a look at the apartment with connecting room, which will suit us then.
- EA (9/5): Friendly and helpful team, from reception to housekeeping. Comfortable, clean and generously esupplied rooms - Great spot from which to explore London.
- Paul (9/5): Perfect stay for the British Museum - High-quality clean There wasn’t much to not like
- Shira (10/5): Great hotel - Perfect location. Very comfortable room. Enjoyed oue stay immensely. Nothing

- WOZZAMAN1964 (10/5): Excellent Hotel - Booked having stayed at other Imperial Group Hotels locally.
Close to Euston
Reception easily negotiated staff very pleasant & friendly.
Room very well equipped tea, coffee, milk, water etc along with ear plugs razor & toothbrush. Bathroom has shower gel, shampoo & conditioner.
Bed 6ft wide
On fifth floor so no noise within hotel.
Room overall very comfortable.
Bar at reception very good for a relaxing drink at the end of the day.
Really impressed & staff credit to the company
- jkiwanuka2 (10/5): Where Hospitality Feels Like Friendship - I visited London to celebrate my birthday and had the pleasure of staying at the Morton Hotel, which is in an incredibly convenient and accessible location. The hotel itself is charming, intimate, and full of character — but what truly made the experience unforgettable was the service.
Every single staff member was kind, welcoming, and accommodating, but Aytul at reception was the absolute standout. She went above and beyond with thoughtful dining, sightseeing, and nightlife recommendations, and offered such helpful insight into London. She was warm, funny, relatable, and genuinely invested in making sure my trip was special.
By the end of my five-day stay, the staff felt more like friends than hotel employees. My family and I were treated with so much respect, care, and kindness throughout.
I highly recommend Morton Hotel if you’re looking for a warm, personal London experience — and definitely ask for Aytul!
- S9764BTianm (10/5): Excellent Stay - I came to town to celebrate a birthday and my stay at the Morton Hotel made the experience even better! The Hotel is located in an area you can walk around in for hours. The staff were very friendly and professional. They made several recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area and London as a whole. They all went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with our stay here especially Aytul!
- Kyoko (8/5):

- Susan (8/5): Would definitely stay here again - Great location, nice room with good facilities and downstairs the bar/lounge was pleasant with friendly staff and an interesting stock of books and pictures.
- rhondam601 (10/5): The Morton Hotel- What a Fantastic Find! - What a great hotel! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Morton. Lovely spacious room, very tastefully decorated, overlooking Russell Square. The literary theme, with quotes on walls and pictures, is so appropriate for the Bloomsbury area. The Morton is only a 2 minute walk from the underground station- so handy. Great shower! Lovely to receive complimentary water and milk each day in the mini fridge. Reception staff were so pleasant and friendly and took a real interest in their guests. Such a thoughtful gesture to surprise me with wine and chocolates for my birthday! Thank you. We will most definitely be back to stay!
- stewartb (10/5): An excellent small hotel five star quality - From the moment we walked in we felt at home, such a warm welcome accompanied by a welcome glass of wine in the Library.
The staff were truly magnificent, friendly, interesting and helpful.
It was my Birthday the following day, we came back to our room in the afternoon to find a chilled bottle of wine two glasses and a birthday card from the staff and management.
Excellent room with an amazing full bathroom.
Great location with the tube station just around the corner and only 10 minutes walk from Euston Station or 4 minutes on a bus.
Thanks for a wonderful stay *****
- kaymJ5073PY (10/5): Great stay - Great location. Short walk from euston. Comfy beds and room was clean. Lovely staff. Would stay again and highly recommend.
- grecoLiverpool (10/5): Really nice - We enjoyed our stay here. The room was lovely, spacious, clean and being on 4th floor meant not too much traffic noise. Staff were friendly and efficient. We enjoyed two great breakfasts before our planned outings. Location brilliant.
- Irene (9/5): Great location, lovely building, friendly staff - Spacious lovely room, great location, quiet, clean No usb ports, no magnifying mirror
- C3278MDdanielae (8/5): It is your Miss if you don’t Visit??? - We just went to The Morton Hotel for Afternoon Tea and we were quite disappointed that the standard of Afternoon Tea and also Coffee has rapidly changed to our previous experience, when they were serving bespoke types of Tea and not tasting Coffee like from Factory. There are no Continental Breakfast served anymore as we were informed…
Kamila, Iryna and Jamil are very lovely and outgoing members of Imperial London Hotels chain. They shared with us many nice comments about the management and also about the owners of this Hotel Chain.
We will certainly visit this Hotel again and particularly looking forward of new refurbishment of their nearby Hotel, that is supposed to have also spectacular looking Restaurant and Bar. The WiFi system to connect should also be improved to better and easier access to connect, particularly in this era of digital communication.
- Matija H. (9/5): A nice, cozy hotel in a convenient location - The hotel was very conveniently located and the room size was great! Everything was spacious and comfortable, including a walk-in closet and a bathroom with floor heating and a nice bathtub. The bar downstairs was quite cozy and open late. The bed or the mattress wasn't really comfortable, and I couldn't figure out how to make the AC cool down the room for sleeping (but opening the windows solved the issue). It's a bit awkward that the reception is located in the basement, but that's really minor. Otherwise no complaints!
- g0ldengut (8/5): Very nice - All was quite good and charming. Within walking distance of much of what is interesting in London. The staff was superb. Very nice young people serving breakfast and tea in the afternoon. The room was a bit small when one took suitcases into account. So a standard room would not be recommended for long stays of more than a few days.
- Tania (6/5): -
- D4338XCdorothyh (10/5): An exceptional hotel on Russell Square - From check in to check out, visit at Moton Hotel was exceptional. All staff was extremely helpful. We requested a change o to single beds and it was taken care of immediately. Aytul was particularly wonderful. She was attentive, charming and available. The location of the hotel is outstanding, I recommend this hotel without reservation
- O1624DJstuartm (10/5): Great Staff. - This is an excellent hotel conveniently located near Euston Station. The rooms are spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, and very comfortable. During my stay the hotel was quiet, and the bar area had a great atmosphere and was a lovely place to relax.
What truly made my experience worthy of a five‑star review was the outstanding service from the reception/bar team. Iryna and Aytul went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. They took the time to ask about the reason for my trip, offered helpful insights about the local area, and later invited me to enjoy tea and wine in the bar. Their warmth and attentiveness made a genuine difference to my stay.
In a time when people are often quick to complain when things go wrong, I felt it was important to highlight such a positive experience. I will certainly be booking again in the future.
- Nomad43007293323 (10/5): Highly recommend, we will come back - We had a wonderful stay at this boutique hotel in an excellent location.
The staff were absolutely lovely, attentive, and always happy to help with every request.
The service was warm, professional, and made us feel truly welcome throughout our stay.
Highly recommended, we will definitely be back

Can’t wait to return.

- nicoleLondon091 (10/5): Wonderful hotel - Our son was having surgery done @GOSH and I needed somewhere close by to the hospital where I could stay and came across The Morton Hotel on TripAdvisor.
I was looking for a hotel that ideally had somewhere i could prepare food and the Morton Hotel fit the bill perfectly as a few of their rooms come with a little kitchenette area, equipped with a small fridge, 2 ring induction hob, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, kettle pots & pans etc which was made life so much easier as we could cook food and take it to our son in the hospital.
The apartment was very spacious, immaculately clean (and I am very fussy!) 😂 ample towels in the bathroom and very nice smelling soaps and handcream.
The apartment also had a very spacious living room area with a sofa bed and a small dining room table and chairs which came in useful.
As a young woman that was staying alone in the hotel, I felt extremely safe especially at night when I was coming back from the hospital at gone midnight/early hours of the morning.
There are 2 main doors at the front entrance that you need a key card to open so security wise I felt very safe at the Morton.
I must say a massive massive thank you to Kadir, Neil & their wonderful front of house team on reception for making me feel so welcome during my stay.
The care, kindness & compassion they showed me especially with my sons situation being in hospital was really touching offering me free hot drinks and biscuits every morning and evening which I was very grateful for. 🙏🥰
They made a very stressful and emotional situation that much easier 🥹❤️
Special thanks also to Maria, Camilla, Ital & the lovely young gentleman on the reception who worked at night, apologies I forgot his name.
All of whom are an absolute credit to your hotel.
We will 💯 be back if our son needs to have any future surgeries at GOSH.
A 5 🌟 plus experience!!
Thank you Morton Hotel!!

- mikejhealey67 (10/5): The Morton - Bloomsbury. A great boutique hotel - The Morton is a lovely hotel, where I stay often on business. I'd advise taking up free membership of the Imperial Hotels 1837 club, you'll get a discount on booking and if the Morton doesn't have a room available you'll be given the option of a room in one of the other hotels in the Imperial group. Importantly for the summer months the Morton has effective air-conditioning whilst for the winter decent heating. It also has a nice bar area in the basement. Recently our stays have been made more fun by Aytul, the receptionist/bar person. She's a character and always treats us well. Last night for instance we'd drank the last of a bottle of a spirit we're fond of, so she sent to a sister hotel for another to be delivered so we might continue our discussion. She also has a good handle on local eateries and we've taken her advice on a number of occasions and found it to be solid. She's definitely one of the reasons we see the Morton as our favourite destination hotel when staying in the Bloomsbury area.
- Pathlesstraveledby (10/5): Aytul is a phenomenal asset to Morton Hotel - Aytul is a phenomenal and quite brilliant individual, providing an exceptional level of service and genuine care. An absolute diamond and a true credit to the Morton Hotel. Please take care of her.
- X4627LRbriank (10/5): Excellent stay and service - First time staying here. Excellent service and accommodation. Fantastic room. Very well looked after. Would definitely come here again.
- michellekI8434QA (10/5): Lovely ! Outstanding service - Lovely staff who were wonderful at helping me navigate the area ! They were very kind and it made me feel well-cared for. So thank you everyone for the outstanding service ! I enjoyed speaking with you all and appreciated your helping me navigate some dinning, rain and other trip /stay questions. :)
One very small suggestion that I already mentioned to desk staff is that in the age of digital cash, a QR code for leaving the housekeeping tip would be fantastic. I didn't have any pounds as I managed a cashless trip and was stuck the last day on how to tip housekeeping. I didn't want to use an ATM due to the fees to pull out just the tip. I did managed to change some dollars but the exchange place was by the British Museum.
Will very much look forward to staying with you again !

- Tourist535168 (10/5): Another fabulous stay - We have now stayed at the Morton three times as it is such a comfortable, well located and welcoming place in the heart of Bloomsbury. The staff are so warm and helpful, the rooms are quiet, the beds are comfy, a tube station is 30 seconds away and there are many restaurants nearby. Why would you stay anywhere else?? We will be back.
- rosalynh518 (10/5): Perfect spot for a London city break - Perfect situation and an interesting Bloomsbury set theme in the decorations made this a terrific place to be based for a 3 day city centre break. The room was comfortable and quiet and the bathroom huge. The staff were friendly and efficient. The teabags were tasty!
- Meric (9/5): -
- D7490AMamandaw (10/5): Warm, friendly hotel at great location. - Staff were absolutely fantastic! I enjoyed breakfast in The Library every morning and a "wine down" one evening as well. The room was very comfortable and quiet, despite being right over the street. The location was perfect to get to Tube stations and also has a lot of food options nearby. I did have issues with getting internet in my room, which was frustrating because I was in London for work and needed access. I would absolutely stay there again.
- 658jarler (10/5): Cosy hotel - Friendly staff, perfect location, nice and clean rooms, Quiet, but everything in a walking distance. Easy access Heathrow. Underground directly from Heathrow to Russel Square, and the hotel just across the street. Perfect.

- MIHAI (10/5): - Proche de la gare
Proche des centres d'intérêts
Personnel très accueillant et aux petits soins
Bonne literie, propreté, etc... Franchement rien
Sauf peut-être le simple vitrage (isolation moyenne)
- peterbY2920JV (10/5): Excellent Value and Location in Central London - Excellent value in a fantastic location. We had a large room with a comfortable king-size bed, which felt especially generous for London. The changing area was well designed, and the bathroom was a good size with a heated floor — a very nice touch. The location is excellent: an easy walk to Fitzrovia, just steps from Russell Square station, and very convenient for the train to Heathrow. Overall, a great combination of comfort, space, and value.
- 836joshuay (10/5): Exceeded Expectations - This is the first review I’ve ever done on here, but since I relied on so many reviews here and on other sites to decide on staying at the Morton Hotel for my first trip overseas, I had to leave a review sharing my experience.
I stayed for seven nights and it was absolutely wonderful!
I requested the quietest room available and while the view out the window wasn’t much, it was totally quiet every night. I stayed in a “Bloomsbury Bedroom” and the room’s size was about what I expected, which was enough room for me, while the bathroom was larger than I expected. The cabinet had enough room to hang my shirts/coats and having a small fridge was a huge plus for such a long stay. The hotel was super clean and decorated for the holidays. I’m thinking the hallways/stairwell leading to the rooms had recently been updated, looked great!
The area was super convenient, there is a healthy, fast casual restaurant right next door that I ate at miltiple times (Farmer J), there’s also a Pret A Manger and a small Tesco a block away, with the Russell Square station right across the street from them.
Lastly, I had breakfast several times in the dining area and it was just as cozy as the pictures make it look. I was greeted most mornings by Aytul who was super helpful with any questions or requests I had and the rest of the staff was just as great!
One note, the front desk is on the basement level, and there isn’t someone at the front door when you walk in. You need your key card to get through the front door, then you need to use it again in the elevator or to open another door to walk up to your room. I never felt unsafe in the area and quite liked being able to zip in/out sort of like I lived there.
All that said, I don’t know when I’ll be back, but I know the decision on where to stay will be an easy one!

- ugoa919 (10/5): My Morton Hotel experience - Very lovely hotel with a nice view to the city. Very neat, tidy and quiet . Easily accessible and has the amenities to make you comfortable, price friendly. Good for a family. Nice bar and lounge. Lovely staff particular AYTUL and IRYNE. They would go the extra effort to make you comfortable. I would use this hotel again when next I come to London.
- John (10/5): Peaceful, lovely hotel - Lovely, quieter neighborhood, but still with a lively student community nearby Room is on the smaller side, but this is typical in London

- 257carolinez (10/5): Great service - We had a lovely time and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Loved the choice of bathroom toiletries and the view from our upgraded room was fab. Everything was very clean and the internal building was beautiful! The staff really make this a special stay though, so thank you to them!
- N8562QKdebbier (10/5): Kind and exceptional service! Helpful with any questions or requests. Wonderful boutique hotel. - Aytul was AMAZING!!!! We would never stay anywhere but The Morton! Feels like home. Amazing staff...2nd visit and hard to believe better than first!
- lorraine (8/5): Nice hotel good staff and would use again - Could have a bit more selection eg fresh fruit
- Tom (10/5): I’ll come again - Charming. Unpretentious but attention to detail and incredibly pleasant furnishings particularly in the library bar. Friendly helpful staff.

- Roger (8/5): Quality hotel and great location. - Great location, friendly staff, good sized room, large (king) comfy bed, excellent walk in shower, toiletries and large fluffy towels, fridge with small bottle of fresh milk for tea. 15-20 min walk to theatres, underground station very close. Lots of restaurant options close by. Next to Fitzroy hotel. Constant voices from nearby cafe continued well into the night (room 25). Breakfast very limited, think Pret A Manger better choice and price.
- George McElroy (9/5): - Excellent location for public transport and restaurants. Easy access to West End Nothing to report
- Dave_T999 (10/5): An absolute gem of a hotel. - We stayed here for the first time for 2 nights for our annual trip up to London for our anniversary. We had a great experience from the moment we arrived until we left. The staff were all absolutely lovely and friendly and couldn't do enough to keep you happy. Our room was perfect, clean and modern. We had breakfast here for 2 mornings and the food was excellent. Once thing we appreciated (as we're not big eaters) was that the breakfast menu is a la carte so you only pay for what you eat. We've stayed in other hotels in London where we've had to pay 30 quid a head and all we've eaten was some cereal and a bit of toast! The Library lounge area is lovely and cosy and a great place to just sit and relax. All in all, we had a great time here and will definitely be coming back.

- traveladdict50 (10/5): Great place to stay - Close to Russell square and a short walk to Holborn underground. Requested a top floor room and a quiet room. Both ticked. Great nights sleep. You control the temperature in your room. Everything you need for your stay in the bathroom . Toiletries and all the usual shower cap and more . If we come back to London this is the place for us. Just over 30 rooms so not a huge sprawling place. Staff just great and everywhere super clean. 👌
- Mr_Box3r (10/5): Excellent Stay - I was there for a sporting event on the evening.
Location is good, room was clean a decent size and ready when we arrived early.
Nice touches with water, tea, coffee and wine left in room without charge.
Reception staff were excellent, friendly and efficient.
All staff are a credit to hotel

- AngusMac600 (10/5): Every team member exceeded expectations ⭐️ - Stayed one night in November for an awards ceremony. Arrived before 12pm to drop off luggage and greeted by exceptionally friendly lady who offered a complimentary early check in. At every point the team were incredibly helpful and warm - the hotel represented excellent value for money.
Room was on first floor, spacious with large shower room and very comfortable. Outlook was towards Russel Square but despite this it was quiet overnight.
Location is fabulous with the shops and cafes at The Brunswick Centre just moments away and perfect for a browse. Russel Square station easily connects you across the city and St Pancras is also a short walk away.
- jacquelinec388 (10/5): Excellent little hotel - A lovely boutique hotel, excellent room, very quiet with black out curtains that ensured a good nights sleep in the comfortable bed. Complimentary waters and fresh milk in the fridge were most welcome and there was a good choice of teas and a nespresso machine.
Highly recommended.
- felisdeco (10/5): Cozy hotel - The Morton Hotel has a quirky charm but was very clean and comfortable. The wallpaper looked hand stenciled and the art on the walls had far more personality than most hotels. It's conveniently located across the park from the British Museum and close to a variety of pubs and restaurants and a very tempting bakery where we ordered breakfast. It will be my choice for any future trips to London.
- ANTHONY (10/5): Great hotel in a great location. staff were superb nothing was to much trouble Had a fantastic stay would definitely re - Lovely hotel with great rooms and bar N/a

- 649angelar (10/5): The hard to find hotel with two bedroom two bathroom units! - Here to recommend The Morton Hotel as a great option for families. They have a very limited number of two bedroom suites that are fabulous. Both have double beds which feel at least as big as a US queen. There are two bathrooms in the suite, one with a bathtub and the other a shower. Between the rooms is a living room with a double pull out sofa (we only used this as a sofa) and a little dinette table for four as well as a little kitchenette with a mini a good size mini fridge, microwave, stove, dishwashers, plates, and cutlery. There are coffee makers and hot water kettles.
The Russell Square underground is less than a five minute walk away and the Piccadilly Line goes to it from the Heathrow Airport. Many bus stops are near by as well. We also walked often from the hotel to our destinations as well.
We had such a lovely stay.
