Guest Reviews
- Andrew (10/5): - The property is in a residential area so it is nice and quiet at night. Consequently, you need to be quiet yourself, but it makes for a perfect night time get away after busy days in the city. There are lots of restaurants in the area providing plenty of food options for lunch, dinner, or a late night snack. With heasy access to Hatsudai station, I highly recommended this stay as a home base for your Tokyo excursions.
- Susan (8/5): - Would stay in this place again with a big group as it has 3 bedrooms and all amenities you could want. Only caution is the steps leading up and down as it has no handrails and is steep. It also has only 1 sink for all to use- if you don’t mind that, well worth staying here!
- Bentley (8/5): - Unit was a conveniently located budget property. It was a decent sized 3 bedroom with airconditioners in all the rooms.
- Buck (8/5): - We loved the old authentic experience of the house. It had a lot of space and is located in an excellent area. On the downside, the kitchen sink is the only place to wash your hands after using the toilet which is pretty gross. Because there is only one sink to wash vegetables, do the dishes, drink water, shave, and clean your hands… the area gets pretty crowded. The beds are also substandard, just old mattresses on the ground. It would make a lot more sense to have a few rooms using Japanese style “futon” instead of old and worn out mattresses. We really enjoyed the style of the home, with sliding doors and wood framing… with a few improvements it could be much better.
- Alain (10/5): - Great place to stay for reasonable price.
- Tomoki (10/5): - 清潔感があり、駅からも近くてよかったです。
ただ台所が洗面台を兼ねていることだけ気をつけてください。
- Sean (2/5): Poor experience - Appreciate this was a housein a suburb of Tokyo but I personally didn’t like it here.
Communication was a little difficult and despite providing all relevant information such as passport details etc was again asked via links to a Google drive that had server issues, so couldn’t access them.
As a result I wasn’t sure if more information was needed or not or whether the information already provided had been received. Not the slickest method.
We arrived late, it was dark and raining, and having found the house, (which was difficult in the conditions), upon opening the door and entering, I hit my head on the very low door frame. It was so hard, I nearly knocked myself out. There was very little light and no warning of the low door, so beware on entering.
The house was cold and after working out the air con, it took a long time to warm up.
The WiFi, although the signal was strong, the WiFi didn’t work. We could not access anything. Good job I had pocket WiFi.
The downstairs toilet had no sink to wash your hands so you had to wash them in the kitchen sink. Not great!
The stairs were steep (which I get for this type of house) but again very low beams which you could hit your head on.
Mattresses were uncomfortable and the bedroom poorly lit.
To be honest, we only stayed the one night and left the next day not to return.
We had just stayed in an apartment in Kyoto which was far superior and cost less than this. No comparison. Unfortunately, can’t recommend
