- Susanne (8/5): Top Hotel, aber unangenehmes Trinkgeldsystem - Das Hotel überzeugt mit schönem und hochwertigen Ambiente. Es ist sehr sauber und die Lage wirklich hervorragend. Weniger angenehm fand ich allerdings, dass man als Gast teilweise das Gefühl bekommt, zusätzlich zur Kasse gebeten zu werden. Bei einem Zimmerpreis von rund 2.500 Euro für zwei Nächte empfand ich es als irritierend, am Abreisetag noch eine zusätzliche Rechnung über etwa 160 Euro für „Service“ bzw. Trinkgeld vorgelegt zu bekommen – in unserem Fall im Wesentlichen für zweimaliges Bettenmachen. Zwar wird darauf hingewiesen, dass dieser Betrag optional ist und reduziert werden kann, dennoch entsteht dabei ein gewisser Druck, diesen auch zu bezahlen, da einem die fertige Rechnung zur Unterschrift vorgelegt wird. Das hinterlässt leider einen unangenehmen Eindruck und führt bei mir zu einem Punkteabzug.

The spa area is paid and required an appointment, even for a sauna visit - I would expect this to be included and freely accessible at this price point.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear this was no ordinary hotel — every detail speaks to quiet luxury, impeccable comfort, and genuinely heartfelt service. A special mention to Ivan at the concierge desk, whose attentiveness and care elevated our stay beyond anything we could have anticipated. Tucked away from the tourist crowds, this is Venice at its most refined. The breakfast alone is worth the visit — an extraordinary spread that caters to every taste. A true hidden jewel. Everything was exceptional.

Nous nous sommes précipités mon épouse et ma fille dans les escaliers de secours donnant sur une ruelle. Arrivé à la réception un peu affolés, nous avons demandé ce qu'il se passe, le réceptionniste avec un sourire nous dit simplement que cela vient de la cuisine. Un peu déconcertant!

- Ken (8/5): Lovely hotel spoiled by incident at check-out - I arrived via water taxi at Arsenale so the location wa perfect for that. I also liked the Castello area as a whole. The hotel was easily within walking distance of the other areas on the lagoon. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Room and bed were both large, and the bathroom facilites were excellent. There is a lovely, quiet courtyard to relax in The hotel is not cheap. Indeed it is expensive. I was therefore surprised, and annoyed, when my final bill was presented with an additional fee for the room service staff. I think this is outrageous in a number of ways. First, no mention is made of this until you see it on your bill at the checkout. Secondly, the hotel charges a considerable amount of money yet it would seem it does not pay its room service staff a decent salary, relying instead on additonal charges a the end of customer's stays. This practice needs to stop.

It was in a quiet location, but with quick, easy access into Venice centre. The room was spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The housekeeping staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Every day they left a little gift in your room, it was a lovely touch. It would have been helpful to have the wifi code left in the room, rather than having to ask reception for it. It would be nice to have somewhere to hang your towels in the bathroom to dry. I didn't need them changed every day, but there was no where to dry them.

Zmorgen 45€ pro person, 10minuten vor schluss. Kein upgrade auch mit amex. Kein balkon. Zahnpasta, ohrenstäbli nie aufgefüllt. Bettwäsche nie ersetzt. Bar unten beim eingang sehr lange wartezeit und nicht professionell.

- Traveler2and2 (10/5): Wonderful stay! - We had an excellent stay at Ca’ di Dio. The hotel is beautiful! The staff is very professional and accommodating. They arranged a water taxi to and from the train station which worked perfectly. The Christmas decorations were very lovely. Breakfast was delicious with many choices. The bar is a must visit. We will gladly stay there again. Everything was perfect.

Das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam, das Bett sehr bequem, alles picobello sauber, und das Frühstück hervorragend. Das Hotel ist wunderschön und strahlt viel Ruhe und Eleganz aus. Kleine Abzüge gibt es für Details im Zimmer: stellenweise fleckenhafte Wände, lose Leisten und ein Teppich, der gestalterisch und qualitativ besser gelöst sein könnte – gerade in dieser Preiskategorie erwartet man hier etwas mehr Perfektion. Nichtsdestotrotz würden wir das Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen, da Atmosphäre, Service und Gesamtqualität klar überwiegen. Die genannten Punkte sind Schönheitsdetails, die sich gut beheben lassen.

- Christine (10/5): - Everything is of excellent quality and well made, the polished marble floor, murano glass lighting, the most beautiful common toilet near the lobby, the room and toilet is elegantly designed, love the marble benchtop and sink. Bed is super comfy so as the super-crisp linen used. We usually stay in a large 5 star hotel, but this time we can really feel the difference in the finishing touches and personalised services of Ca'di Dio. A nice surprise was provided in the room when we arrived, local specialty Buranei biscuits and the pairing sweet red wine. I followed the suggestion, to dunk it in the wine, and it's delish.... We stayed during New Year. Perfect location for the fireworks, just walked out of the lobby door five minutes before midnight, in quite an enclosed area. The optional employee benefits of 5% for the room and 15% for the restaurant have been pre-printed on the final bill. Although optional, i felt rather uncomfortable to ask for the blll to be adjusted. The teams do provide great service after all.

The room was beautifully designed, very spacious, and exceptionally clean. I loved the amenities in the washroom, and I truly appreciated that the team kindly accepted my late check-out request so my mom could have the room to pray — a thoughtful gesture that meant a lot to us. The location is lovely — about a 20-minute walk to the center, but the walk itself is beautiful with charming restaurants along the way. Their meet-and-greet service was incredibly helpful, especially since it was my first time in Venice. The breakfast was exceptional. Even though we missed the buffet time, the staff went above and beyond to serve us with warmth and generosity. You pay for what you get, in that it’s not a cheap stay for Venice, but it’s brilliantly located, very comfortable, spacious, and luxurious rooms with polite staff. - Deufl (10/5): Tutto perfetto ! - Zentrale Lage (wobei hier der Trubel schon etwas nachlässt), Vaporetto-Haltestellen in unmittelbarer Umgebung, Eingang zur Biennale (Arsenale) gleich um die Ecke. Hochwertige Ausstattung, überraschend ruhige Zimmer, sehr gute Betten. Das Frühstücksbuffet war recht reichhaltig (was in Italien auch in der gehobenen Klasse keine Selbstverständlichkeit ist), bei den Süßspeisen wähnt man sich fast in einer Konditorei. Selten ein so freundliches und bemühtes Personal erlebt (insbesondere die Dame im Frühstücksraum !), als Sahnehäubchen wurden uns dann noch jeden Tag/Abend ein Obstkorb oder ein Teller mit Süßigkeiten in das Zimmer gestellt. (Vielleicht weil wir längere Zeit geblieben sind ?)
