Spiro (9/5): In short: a lot of pretension and posturing, but even the most basic elements fall short of acceptable quality. - Nice historical building. Nice SPA. Classic stylish design. Delicious breakfast. First, I am genuinely unpleasantly surprised by the hotel’s policy of not allowing guests under the age of 21 in the restaurant after 5:00 PM, while offering room service as compensation — this, in itself, feels like a poor joke. The hotel’s location is quite isolated, and it is reasonable to assume that guests often choose it primarily because of the restaurant and the Cipriani culinary reputation. I simply cannot understand how anyone thought it was a good idea to drive away customers in this manner. Second, the expectations are set very high — elegant atmosphere, dress code, club-like culture — yet in practice, they were unable to prepare even a basic cappuccino properly. The foam was simply poured into the cup without any consistency, not to mention any form of presentation, and to top it off, it was spilled into the saucer during service. The taste was quite unpleasant. One might overlook this at Starbucks, but for a name like Cipriani, it is frankly shocking. Third, the beautiful terrace bar was under renovation, which is disappointing in itself.

Ali (8/5): تجربة جميله لكن لن تتكرر - الفندق يقع داخل مبنى تاريخي تم تشييده قديماً. كان يستخدم لفتره طويلة كنقطة انطلاق للعبارات المتجهة إلى بروكلين، يعني الفندق متمسك بلمسات المبنى الأساسي، موقع الفندق حليل لكن السعر مبالغ فيه جداً المشكله صوت العبارات (الفندق مجهز سدادات أذن) ما أعجبني بكل صراحه بعد تسجيل الخروج وصلتني الفاتوره على الإيميل وكان فيها رسوم إضافيه لغرفة ثانيه، تواصلت معهم على البريد بدون رد، بعد ما توصلت هاتفياً حلوا المشكلة خلال 24 ساعه بدون حتى رسالة اعتذار… طبعاً شي مؤسف الي حدث ولا أتوقع انه مقصود أبداً…

NYC10001 (10/5): New York's most exclusive address - We had the pleasure of staying at Casa Cipriani for a very quick trip into NYC. This has to be one of the most exclusive hotels in North America! From the minute you pull up to the private motor lobby of the hotel you know you are in for a different NYC experience. The elegant lobby is discreet and quiet and staffed with a wonderfully attentive front office and concierge team. The name recognition is really quite impressive. When the elevators open onto your guest room floor you feel like you are on board a luxury ocean liner from a bygone era. And this continues when you open the door to your stunning room. We were lucky enough to be facing the harbor and you truly felt like you were on a ship. What was really cool was that this is still a working ferry terminal and boats were coming in and out just a few feet below us... yet we could not hear a peep. Our room was incredibly spacious. In fact the closet was so big it could have been a bedroom! Easily one of the largest guestrooms we have stayed at in New York. We had a great nights sleep and there were thoughtful amenities bedside to help us sleep well. The absolute highlight of the property was the top floor "club." This area is only available to guests and members of Casa Cipriani... and to say it felt exclusive was an understatement. We enjoyed some delicious cocktails in the lounge area before heading to dinner. Our meal was in one word, exceptional. We kept on saying we felt like we were in Italy, and then would look out the window and there is no mistaking you are in NYC with the Brooklyn Bridge as a backdrop! It was the perfect evening with amazing and kind service. It was fine dining without being stuffy. Make sure to get all the classic Cipriani dishes.. they don't disappoint! There was also a Jazz Club we could have enjoyed but we were so delightfully stuffed we had to head to bed. One final note, the Wellness area was probably the best I have seen at any hotel. They truly have every kind of equipment you could ever imagine for a fantastic workout. I really needed it the morning after our decadent evening, but the comfortable bed had different plans for me! Thank you Casa Cipriani for a wonderful and memorable stay. We will be back for sure!

MrNirY (2/5): I would not recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a seamless and luxurious stay. - ‏A Disappointing Stay at Casa Cipriani New York ‏I stayed at Casa Cipriani in October 2024, booking my stay through Amex Centurion, expecting a premium experience. Unfortunately, my stay was far from satisfactory, and I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience. ‏Room Issues: ‏Upon arrival, we did not receive the expected room upgrade. The room was full of dust, as shown in the attached video. The dust caused a severe allergic reaction, including a nosebleed, which kept me up all night. I had to personally clean the room to make it livable, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. ‏Technical Problems: ‏The TV in the room was non-functional, and despite five visits from the technician, the issue was never resolved. This constant disruption made it impossible to relax during my stay. ‏Spa Experience: ‏The spa treatment was a disaster. The noise level during the treatment was unbearable, resembling an industrial facility rather than a luxury retreat. It completely ruined the experience, and I would not recommend their spa services to anyone seeking relaxation. ‏Poor Compensation: ‏After reporting these issues to the hotel manager, I was offered a $500 credit against a bill totaling $4,125. This compensation does not reflect the extent of the inconvenience and discomfort I endured. I requested further resolution, but the manager has not responded to my emails, even after waiting over 30 days for a reply. ‏Conclusion: ‏The lack of responsiveness and inadequate resolution of my concerns have left me extremely disappointed with Casa Cipriani. Despite its reputation, the service and overall experience fell far below expectations. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a seamless and luxurious stay.

It was our first time staying at the casa cipriani, and its safe to say we will be coming back for sure. It was one of the nicest hotels in the city. From rooms, to club amenties everything was top notch. The staff were also extremely friendly. My wife had a slight scare with her spa treatment, but the front desk manager (Yasmin) got on top of the issue and assured us that everyting will be okay and taken care of. she also followed up even after we check out.

tiberiusv2014 (10/5): By Far the Best Private Club in Manhattan - We had dinner with friends. We are not members yet. The yet has to wait 4 years given waiting list. The place is remarkable. It has two outdoor places a bar and a restaurant. The restaurant is just a showstopper. Unless you are on a private yacht heading towards the Brooklyn Bridge you will not have this view, this level of service and this level of food and vibe. The people are exceptional. So is the food. And it’s slightly in the expensive side but not much, Of course you must be with a member, so don’t get your hopes up otherwise. The rest of the place is exquisite too with bars and lounges, a pool coming on roof soon, gym, spa etc. Very well done.

JetSetGoTravel (4/5): Huge disappointment, NYC has so many other options - As a frequent traveler I value excellent service and the staff at the lobby gives you just that. From the doorman to the front desk staff they are extremely friendly and professional. Unfortunately, that’s where the quality of service ends. The service in the restaurant and bar area was very unprofessional, inattentive and just lousy. The food was absolutely horrendous. Completely disappointing. The noise level from the club is very loud, the ferry dock shares space with the hotel which was not really an issue for us but might bother some guests. The room needed some TLC and was in need of repairs in the bathroom and shower. Housekeeping was meticulously done and the amenities were stocked freshly twice a day. I wanted to try this hotel for the architectural style and design. I saw the design details but beyond that this place is seriously overrated and unfortunately I will not be returning or recommending this hotel.

Rooftop Bar not yet open but bar on 5th had epic views. Hectic on Saturday night - hard to get a table - obviously very fashionable for the hip well to do if New York. Nice food in restaurant and very prompt service. Helpful staff. Gorgeous room with terrace.

marinamvm (8/5): Art Deco Luxury next to the Staten Island Ferry dock! - This is one of the most amazing hotels I have ever stayed. Perfectly decorated, real luxury, attention to every detail. Wooden designer art deco furniture, Art in the walls, electronic shades, amazingly stocked mini bar, eye masks at turndown. Lots of fluffy towels, perfect linen.... This is what luxury should be, in decor, service, ambience. However I am really surprised that no other review mentions the continuous service of the Staten Island ferry, 24/7, every half hour! The motor and the horn could really be heard! And in the morning crates moving in-front of the suite....So for me the magic was just gone with that. I wish it was located somewhere else, but I am not sure I would easily go back just there...I will cherish for sure this one stay but location is just a big drawback. ( one last comment is that we booked the jazz club for our one night dinner- this was quite disappointing. only us and another table ( another two came quite later) and performance was not very jazz.... You are better off trying the main restaurant where the action is taking place)
anniew415 (10/5): amazing cipriani - i would like to say Casa Cipriani really goes above and beyond to service his guests. i booked a room for my boyfriend's birthday, since he likes good hotels. upon my arrival, to my surprise, my room was upgraded to suite (without charging me additional), with champaign and cake. the suite is very very nice, with big windows to both sides (as it is at corner). all the staff at hotels are super kind and friendly. the friends we invited over all are very impressed by our suite and the club at 5th floor. jazz is really good too. special thanks to Stefano (director of front desk), Juan at the restaurant bar. Juan was very caring and thoughtful, made my normally a bit demanding boyfriend very happy. ohh, the mattress at hotel is amazing too. i have long term back problem. the mattress is perfect for me, firm but with a bit soft touch. next time i buy new mattress at home, i shall go check our which branch Cipriani has -:)

E7214PMhannahw (10/5): Exquisite on so many levels - Our stay at Casa Cipriani was perfect from the moment we stepped out of our taxi and were greeted by the charming staff at the door. The lobby area was wonderfully calm after a long-haul flight, and the staff was so attentive that you felt almost like you were being greeted by friends. The bedrooms are exquisitely finished with such a high standard of attention to detail with lovely, unique, special touches. We enjoyed a drink in the Living Room overlooking the stunning river view and didn't ever want to leave. The food in the restaurant was the best pasta I've had outside of Italy; we returned the next day for lunch, ordering the same dishes again. We only stayed two days, but the staff remembered our breakfast preferences from the day before, which didn't go unnoticed. Casa Cipriani is our favourite club; there is nowhere else we would want to stay in New York.

matt_philly_23 (10/5): Beautiful property, stunning views, and even better people - Casa Cipriani is obviously stunningly beautiful -- both the hotel itself is exquisitely designed and appointed, and the sweeping views of Brooklyn and the bay are unparalleled by anything I’ve seen in Manhattan. The food is obviously great, too, being powered by a well known global powerhouse brand. All the Cip classics are on tap here. The rooms are comfortable, well appointed and modern; super comfy beds and sheets. The rainfall showers are the best I’ve experienced in a hotel. The bathrooms are stunning (though at this price point having Toto bidets would have been nice), and the Waterworks fixtures are killer. It’s clear a ton of thought when into the design in every single space on property. But what sets Casa Cipriani truly part from its peers and puts it squarely at the TOP of the heap of high end luxury hotels in New York is the service. It’s outstanding. I was blown away. From the gentlemen at the valet stand and the bellhops when you pull up for the first time, to Sophia at the front desk guiding you through check in, to the ladies helming the club level, everyone in the spa, the entire dining team… to a person they were so friendly, accommodating, and pleasant. I can’t say enough about their hospitality. I rarely feel compelled to write reviews, good or bad. But Casa Cipriani is so excellent it’s deserving of all the praise it receives. Thank you to everyone who made my wife and I’s stay amazing; we can’t wait to come back.

Ample and beautiful space to meet, lunch and lounge. 2min walk to the heliport makes the location easily accessible from any NYC airport. The location might be a bit disadvantageous for travelers visiting NYC for sightseeing. Heliport and ferry traffic can cause a bit of noice.

Room-in-my-suitcase (10/5): Checks Off All The Boxes For A Hotel Of Greatness. - Perched on the water in lower Manhattan, in the landmark Beaux-Arts Battery Maritime Building, is the Casa Cipriani. The Casa sports a dual hospitality personality, namely, a hotel & a members club where luxury reins 'summa cum laude'...why the house car is an Aston Martin. I soaked up my spacious Junior River View Suite adorned with mahogany floors, bespoke Italian furnishings, Art-Deco light fixtures, an adorable work desk and artwork on the wall. The suite was embedded with high tech appliances like electronic shades, selectable lighting and other futuristic tools. The bath was marbleized with heated floor and walk-in shower. The pinnacle room amenity, however, was the terrace affording me an exception views of attractions like the Brooklyn Bridge.........why I could almost shake hands with the Statue of Liberty. One never has to leave the Casa with such a bevy of dining and drinking options where you will find the Club Restaurant, the Jazz Cafe, the Club Bar, the Promenade Bar and the Living Room. Aside from the abundance of bars, the Living Room is a communal experience while the Club is where dinner is served in Italian style with items like carpaccio and other pasta classics.........I tested the carpaccio..........it was great. Other highlights of this property is the spa & wellness area in addition to a fitness center, but perhaps the biggest draw is the membership club. So, if you want a Big Apple hotel with luxury to the max........,,,,...then try the................ Casa Cipriani.............it checks off all the boxes for a hotel of greatness.

There was no place in the hotel to sit with your friends or just work when it closed. A la carte breakfast was really good and amazing views. Night front office agent totally made our visit worth it, super helpful. Front office staff was terrible for a hotel as such. Not helpful at all and rude many times. Lost something in a room and had to beg them two days in a row so that they make the smallest effort of helping us find it. I won't even start talking about the opposite desk where the concierge and club staff are located. The only words that would characterise them would be stuck-up and snob. I understand it's a Cipriani but they don't own the place..still one of New York's most expensive hotels, they should aline with a similar service. Location of the hotel was great with great views but be careful of the room allocation. There's a heliport just next to the hotel which works morning to night. Some friends got the corner room overlooking the heliport and had a rough time enjoying their stay. Also there's a ferry terminal just below the hotel so there are ferries honking 24/7. The SPA was terrible. Apparently other than guests, members can also use it and the gym and it actually feels like an outside gym&spa where everyone could go with a subscription. Too crowded, changing rooms were in terrible condition, seeing people going in and leaving with theirs gym bags didn't brings out a privacy or luxury. They kept me waiting more than an hour so that they take me in for my treatment and they were so busy with everything that they didn't even think to tell me to use the facilities like the sauna or the hamam until they're ready. Gym looked great.

cjchipp (10/5): Exceptional, Exclusive Hotel Visit - Casa Cipriani is the type of hotel that I am SO happy I visited and experienced otherwise, I would not know what to expect. What I found was amazing hotel service, gorgeous accommodations, breathtaking views and exceptional bedding. I was visiting in town before a conference and this was my perfect getaway to unwind prior. I invited my sister to join me and we had a lovely girls mini getaway. The front desk was so welcoming and warm. What a great way to start a luxurious and elevated hotel visit! I appreciate name recognition. The hotel gives river cruise luxury vibes which I adore! My suite was stunning and the views with the balcony were another level of beauty! Views of the statue of liberty?! SO unique and special for my NYC visit! The bedding was my favorite ... it felt like butter. :-) The suite was so well appointed with everything in the position you would want it in. IE: plugs next to the bed, hotel slippers, eye masks, etc. The restaurant had the BEST pasta! I enjoyed the lobster, tomato, green bean salad which had a generous amount of lobster. I also especially loved the pasta with mushrooms ... I will now crave this during every NYC visit! lol Something else I was surprised to experience is their fabulous spa and fitness center! I had my first ever cryotherapy which was VERY cool! Thank you Casa Cipriani for a 10/10, luxurious, exclusive visit!
T9726KFtaylorc (10/5): Exceptionally luxe experience - Casa Cipriani exceeds expectations in every way. I work in hotels and travel half the year, so I’m rather particular. I had a few nights in the city for business meetings in FiDi, and wanted to be close by, but on the water. The building itself is a work of art, the staff are amazing, and the feeling that you've arrived somewhere truly special is immediate. I checked in at 8am (knowing i was rolling the dice), and while my room wasn't ready, I was escorted upstairs to have tea and start my work day from the club floor where i got to enjoy a posh tea service overlooking the East River. A few lounges behind me, an investor was meeting with a fashion designer who had brought him an armful of new coats to try on (that’s the vibe here - bit of business, bit of pleasure, all in good fun). I see why people are members here. instead of having me come back downstairs to get my keys when my room was ready (less than an hour later), someone brought my keys to me and my luggage was waiting for me in my room. the room is stunning. A nautical design nod embraces the views through more gorgeous windows. The bathroom is so luxe - i could live in there. electric shades are always my favorite touch in a room — the ultimate in convenience, along with slippers and a robe. At night, i invited friends to join me at the jazz club for dinner - such an intimate and cool concept. Food was excellent. (Though a pizza for lunch ended up being my #1). we had drinks beforehand at the cozy bar on the club floor — even for a week night, it was a buzzing scene. (Dress code applies, be aware.) I had a casual breakfast at the main restaurant before heading out (reluctantly), and the house car brought me to my meeting a few blocks away. (I didn’t book it, but they made it happen for me). I enjoyed chatting with the door man on my way in and out (Marcus)- he was fantastic, and I can’t wait to see him again on my next visit.

However Lobby Staff very much the opposite, questioning ,unfriendly ,disrespectful. I dress in Suit and tie, and was treated like I was some sort of street Bum, and that I had no business coming in. They need better training ! If you have some sort of problem with people coming in your Hotel , then find a way for Hotel Guest to be recognized, and respected. Would have liked to have been warned about Ferry's and their LOUD Horns wee ll into the night 3:00am, un able to sleep do to ferry directly outside my window. Lobby Staff very much the opposite of Valet and door persons , questioning ,unfriendly ,disrespectful. I dress in Suit and tie, and was treated like I was some sort of street Bum, and that I had no business coming in. They need better training ! If you have some sort of problem with people coming in your Hotel , then find a way for Hotel Guest to be recognized, and respected.

We booked it because of the incredible view on the Hudson river together (both room & restaurant). This absolutely met our (high) expectations. The restaurant was one of the best we experienced in NY. Also the room and all other aspects of the hotel werer very luxurious so what's not to like? That being said, it might not be the best choice if you are solelely for tourist purposes as the hotel is more targetted at a business clientel and a networking location in NY. We were surprised to learn that the reception/concierge does not order cabs ... instead they advice you to use a service like Lyft (which we did :)). You can hire a private driver who will assist you personally while driving around NY. Not the best option for our plans however. What is nice is that taxis can drive up to the lobby while covered from the rain and wind; again pure luxury ... :)
Armin (4/5): Very disappointing experience overall - Restaurant staff was very polite Hotel / reception staff was extremely rude on several occasions to me and my girlfriend. They need to get their attitude under control with hotel guests. I observed this not only for ourselves but also with other hotel guests and several arguments between them and reception staff
