Guest Reviews
- Linda (10/5): Basic but clean. Liked having the balcony! Great location! The host was so lovely so would stay here again just for that - Loved the host Nicholas! So friendly and hospitable! It was basic but clean. The balcony was lovely to sit on in the morning and evenings. Great location, just outside of the old town but still loads to do there and the bus stop is only a couple of mins walk away to get to the old town. Easy to navigate.
- April (8/5): - Everything was wonderful! Nikola and his wife was very caring and welcoming of us as his guest. Would definitely stay here again.
- Hemant (10/5): Great stay - Location Parking challenge
- Hu (10/5): -
- Melody (7/5): Homey stay, accommodating hosts, close to beach and restaurants - The hosts were very accommodating. They welcomed us with homemade Rakia. The location was beautiful near a beach and a strip of restaurants very family friendly.
The day trip to old town was just a 15 min car ride.
Beautiful views over Dubrovnik. Homey vibes. We asked for a cot in advanced but they didn’t see the message. Otherwise everything else was lovely.
- Vân (10/5): - This was a wonderful place to stay. The balcony offers a beautiful view of the river and the charming houses with their bright red-tiled roofs. The apartment has all the basic facilities you need if you’d like to cook. It’s just a short walk to the bus stop to the Old Town (and since Dubrovnik isn’t too big, getting around is very convenient), plus it’s close to supermarkets and restaurants. Overall, the location is very convenient.
The host is extremely kind and welcoming. Although his English isn’t perfect, he made every effort to communicate with us and made us feel truly at home. He even treated us to homemade wine twice during our stay.
All in all, highly recommended!
- Virginia (10/5): - Nicolás es súper simpático! Nos recibieron con mucho encanto
- Deborah (9/5): - Very peaceful area, beautiful views over the city. Easy to walk to local shops and cafes and get to bus stops. The hosts were very kind and welcoming. Nicholas gave us a lift to the port at the end of our stay which we really appreciated. Nothing
- Diego (7/5): - Has a good view. Room is not super comfortable. Not so easy to get to the center of town. Not easy to park around the house.
- Wiktoria (10/5): Great place, will visit again - Amazing host, views, perfect location - lots of beaches around, walking distance to old town, bus stops, shops and restaurants nearby. The terrace was incredible, worth every penny. Fridge, AC, hot water, WiFi, everything worked really good and we had no problems. Some people may not like the stairs, but it's dubrovnik, so stairs are everywhere. But if you have trouble walking i recommend looking for something else. Otherwise no problem.
- Marcin (8/5): Very good - Nice view from the balcony, close to the beach and bus stop. Friendly staff.
- Trajche (9/5): Superb -
- Gyu (10/5): Memorable Accommodation - My mom and I traveled together, and when we arrived early, they took care of our luggage and tried to help us whenever we needed help. The room was kept very clean and the dishes and bedding were clean. Thanks to them, we had a pleasant trip. Nothing
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional - Fabulous host, with great apartment in lovely location. Well placed to access all local attractions. Everything you need for a great stay. Nothing, all perfect
- Dagmar (10/5): Great stay, central location to wonderful beaches and the old town - Such an amazing stay! So hospitable and kind owners… came as strangers, left as family Nothing
- Ziyadkhan (8/5): Very good -
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing views, very well located in Lapad, close to the beach, restaurants, supermarkets and the bus stop that goes right to the old town, there's a shared kitchen as well in the property. Managed by a lovely couple, you're gonna feel like home. Cannot recommend more
- Vanessa (9/5): great place! - nice stay for a quick trip and very pretty view! convenient location and clean stay. NA
- Raffaella (8/5): Very good - Very kind hosts!
- Javier (9/5): Superb - It had everything we needed for our trip. The bathroom is a bit strange. There's no separation between the shower and the WC and sink. So, when one takes a shower, everything else gets wet.
- David (9/5): Superb - The view is very nice. Easy access to the center with the bus and very clean.
- Casper (8/5): - Super nice location and host Nicola is very friendly!
Very basic accomodation but for the price this is very good. 7€for an uber to the old town.
- Daniela (2/5): - If you are visiting Dubrovnik with a car I do not recommend to stay in this place. It is very far from the main attractions and it doesn’t have parking available despite it is advertised as it does. Also it doesn’t have ocean view. The room is clean but the air conditioning doesn’t work very well and the bathroom doesn’t have proper ventilation so it is like a sauna. We didn’t like the place.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - the owners are such a lovely couple, they were very nice to us and did a wonderful job. They told us which buses to take, where could we take them, where was the supermarket and so on. we definitely recommend this house
- Elomaa (7/5): Good -
- Sila (8/5): Very good -
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional - This little guest house is very welcoming.
The host is fantastic and met us with a drink when we arrived.
The accommodation is nice and private along a small street with no cars.
The bedroom was lovely and clean, quite spacious.
The shower room, though a little dated, was clean and had powerful shower.
There is a little terrace outside where you can sit and enjoy the fantastic views. It is shared with the adjacent room but there is plenty of space.
The promenade to the beach is a short descent down the pedestrian walkways, plenty of restaurants and a lovely beach.
We had a very enjoyable few days here.
The bus to the Old Town is at the bottom of the hill near the promenade area, line 6, tickets can be purchased on board or from a kiosk (slightly cheaper) Please be aware that the accommodation is accessed on foot, the descent to the restaurants and beach is via pedestrian steps, perhaps not for the very elderly or infirm.
- Craig (7/5): We had a pleasant stay, apartment was fine for only a few days. - Location is good and the owner was very nice and friendly! Was unable to get in touch with owner before to ask for early check in. Direct booker service was not very helpful.
Towels provided were old and very uncomfortable to use.
Room was very basic, would have been nice to have a tv.
- Grayson (9/5): Clean, comfortable, and convenient - The room was clean and comfortable. The balcony had a beautiful view, and it was a short walk to the bus stop. The hosts were very kind. This made Guest House Misita a great, affordable, and convenient location for us. My only issue was the bathroom set up, where the shower head was basically just mounted to the wall with no curtain or wall. This didn’t really cause issues, but it was just weird, since the bathroom floor was then always wet.
- Anna (8/5): Very good - The room was clean, equipped with small fridge. Cozy terrace with a seaview.
Nice owners :) Bathroom is small with no separated shower, it needs renovation.
Kitchen located outside of the building.
- Siobhan (9/5): Superb little apartment in an excellent location close to all amenities. - The owners were the most lovely, kind people and they could not do enough for us. The accommodation was fantastic value for money. There was a fridge in our room but we also had complimentary coffee/tea and full use of the well equipped kitchen. A little dated, but this did not matter.
- Eve (10/5): Exceptional - Nikola and Maria were such lovely hosts! Beautiful view, great location with easy bus route to the old town. Nice little kitchen and a sweet little bookshelf! Some of the listed facilities weren’t there (washing machine, toaster etc.) but no big deal!!
- Sergei (5/5): Passable -
- Sudan (9/5): Nice, comfortable stay. - The hosts were very kind. We were offered some alcoholic drink as a welcome drink. The view from the Balcony was quite nice. The beds were comfortable. Located at a walkable distance from the nearest bus stop. There was no key for the bathroom. The kitchen was on the different level from the rooms.
- L (10/5): Fantastic :) - We absolutely loved staying at Guest House Mista! They were super friendly and willing to help with any issues and queries we had. The location is decent, 10mins from the beach and the bus to the old town is easy to locate, plus theres grocery shops near by. Its a nice and quiet area, away from all the hustle and bustle of the old town. If you are in Dubrovnik for a couple days I highly recommend staying with them! It is a little outdated and all up hill to get there.
- Máté (9/5): Superb - The hosts are very nice and helpful! Especially appreciated the storage place after checkout.
Thank you!
- David (10/5): Excellent place; wonderful hosts; I will return and recommend it to others..!! - Nico was an amazing gentleman and offered a couple drinks...wine & a raki on successive nights. He walked me down to the commercial area and pointed out some great restaurants where he knew the quality and variety of local food Arrival directions could have been clearer. A description that one could arrive from above or below the building would have been helpful. The fact that the unit was down (or up) a walking alley from the nearby street above and below, would have made finding it easier for myself and the taxi driver
- Emma (10/5): Breathtaking views and kind hearted people - The hosts were very very nice to deal with we had no issues whatsoever. Location was good, close to Sunset beach, bars and restaurants. Couldn’t recommend enough. No fridge in the room and kitchen needs modernization.
- Clarke (10/5): Exceptional - Stunning views hosted by the loveliest family. We were greeted with some local Grapa and they were super lovely even when we were delayed by a couple hours. We were so sad to leave.
- Kate (9/5): Superb - We loved our stay at Guest House Misita. It is in the perfect spot for exploring Dubrovnik, we enjoyed being so close to the beaches and being outside the old town which is very busy but very Easy to catch the short bus ride into the old town. Lots to do in Lapad with beautiful walks nearby. Accommodation was perfect for 2 of us, beautiful views on the terrace and amazing homely hospitality and hosts that made sure you felt welcome. We decided to stay on an extra 2 nights. We would definitely stay again!
- Douglas (8/5): Very good - The shared balcony was very pleasant with a great view. The host was so nice! Close to the local bus to go to the old town which seemed to be the best option, since street parking could be found close to the apartment. The room was fairly basic and the bed was too firm.
- Angjelka (3/5): Disappointing - The location is okey, near sunset beach. Unfortunately i was disappointed. We arrived at the property, they didn’t except us. The gentleman showed our room and after an hour came to tell me that he give us wrong room and saying it was our fault. To told us to collect the belongings and move to the next room, he even give me the trash bin to change. Also the bathroom sink was clogged.
- James (8/5): Very good -
- Edwin (10/5): Great hospitality, felt very welcomed -
- Ana (9/5): Superb - Very kind owner. Nice view of city lights from a cute small balcony. Bus stop is near, direct line to old town. Small bathroom.
- Maureen (10/5): Exceptional - The host was super welcoming and helped us to confirm on where we could park so we didn't have any issues when staying in Dubrovnik. Gave us a welcoming brandy which was fantastic after a long car drive. The apartment is at the top of a slope and you can see amazing views of the city and it is super close to a beach with stunning views of the Dubrovnik sunset. The directions from the navigation to get to the accommodation suggests going up a very narrow road. Beware of doing this if you are driving a car and aim for taking the longer route round the roundabout as it helps with parking. When walking it is quite uphill up some stairs so be ready if you have heavy suitcases!
- Stephan (9/5): Great accommodation, great host, great stay - The host was very hospitable! Gave us a couple of rakija shots on arrival and pointed us toward the nearest beaches, and also how to get to the old town. Facilities were very clean! Lovely balconies overlooking the city and nice open air seating area beside the kitchen, with grape vines growing overhead (with some very nice grapes as well) Bit of a climb up the hill to the accommodation and driving through the narrow roads up were a little challenging, but all part of the adventure in my opinion.
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Diana (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful hosts, great view, 10min walk to the beach. Bus 6 takes you to old Town in less than 15min.
There is a parking on a street above the house so make sure to look up directions.
- Steve (9/5): Superb -
- Stratulat (1/5): Bad - The view Don't let the nice reviews about the houst trick you!!! Was the worst host ever, a room like a old hospital room, bad AC, horrible bed, not even soap in the bath. The host was rude, far away from hospitality. Before getting there we wore involved in a car accident, we had bruises and my leg has damaged. Outside was over 37 degrees. Imagine that we ask for a glass of water and the owner send us to the market to buy or to drink from the bathroom. Didn't like the attitude of him, didn't show kindnes or hospitality. A big no!!
- Wael (7/5): Good - Room view , cleanliness , location for bus station & beach The host man sometimes kind & sometimes aggressive.
- Bert (7/5): Good - Nice host and view and service The bathroom was rundown. High price but like everything being expensive in Dubrovnik of course
- willjc95 (8/5): A good stay at a fair price and in a handy location - A good stay at a fair price for high season in Dubrovnik. Stopped for 1 night July 2023. The property is relatively easy to reach from the bus station. It looks quite a distance on the map but it really isn't too far, as the bus stops just down the road. The walk up to the property is via quite a steep hill or some steps but it's easy if you're fit. The owner was a very friendly man and gave us a shot of local spirit. The property is very convenient for the beach, only 5-10 minutes walk away. There are several restaurants close by and also a food shop. The bus into the old town only takes 10 minutes (from the roundabout at the bottom of the road). The room itself was fine, comfortable bed, aircon, fridge, speedy wifi and good shutters which kept the light out. Bathroom quite dated and slippery, as the shower isn't separated by a tray or anything. There was also a clothing rack outside for drying wet gear. I would certainly stay here again.
- Oussama (9/5): Very friendly with a nice location! - We liked the view that we had on Dubrovnik. We also liked how we had been welcomed by the owners who showed us many locations to visit in Dubrovnik. The location of the house was near many beautiful places and beaches.
- dgraham76 (6/5): A balcony with a great view - Came here for a couple of nights, it has a lovely view from the balcony
This was a reasonable price with the host being welcoming and offering shots.
The property has a small supermarket only 5 minutes walk away and not much further you get the no6 bus into the centre.
It's about half hour walk to bus station,? Good few restaurants all on one street within 5 mins walk and a further 5 mins has a beach and a walkway..most of these bars and restaurants were cash only.
- Laura (9/5): A good accommodation really close to Dubrovnik - We had a great stay in this apartment. It was convenient for our family of 3. The fact of having à kitchen (outside of the room) is good to be able to eat in on the terrace. We could take the bus 6 directly to Dubrovnik as well as walk to the beach, which was really convenient. The hosts were extremely nice and helpful
- Darren (7/5): a lovely view and some nice bars/restaurants and beach nearby - balcony view was amazing, toilet was ok but had to walk over shower floor to get to it
the property as towards the top of a small hill so bit of a harder walk with cases/large bags but have a supermarket very clos by, and the host told us about the no6 bus to get into town
host did offer us some shots
be aware quite a few bars/restaurants nearby are cash only.. surf and turf had 20% discount before 7pm for cash as above..host was wary of making sure lights and air conditioning were switched off when not in use
- Thalia (10/5): The perfect place for a romantic getaway in Dubrovnik - The view from the terrace and the terrace itself was incredible! My boyfriend and I were traveling on a budget and ate many meals at the property (they have a kitchen for guests), and with such a beautiful and romantic view we didn't at all feel we were missing out! Nikola and his family were wonderful hosts, offering us shots on the house upon arrival and when we were told it was cash-only payment was very flexible with us as we figured that out. I really enjoyed the location and being further from the busy old town. Lapad has a promenade with many bars and restaurants and sunset beach (as the name suggests) offers a beautiful view of the sunset, all a 5-10 min walk by either steps or main road. I wouldn't recommend walking to the Old Town but there are reliable and cheap public bus routes that run late into the night. Really can't find much to fault this property for, only that when we stayed here it was incredibly hot out and the air conditioning isn't very strong. I was able to sleep just fine but my boyfriend runs hot in the night and found it a little hard to sleep at first, but over the trip we adjusted better to the heat.
- Hannah (10/5): Great stay, facilities and lovely hosts! -
- Kev (9/5): Superb - Very friendly hosts, helped us up and down with luggage and gave free shots of brandy..
It was a pleasure staying there. Too far from town and although only 10 mins from the beach,it was all up hill with lots of steps.
- Can (7/5): Good - Staff was really helpful. They solve all the problems. Terrace was perfect. Old furnitures. Small room. There were electric problems. Air condition was not working first night. Main light not working too. They fixed but still old electrical equipments will give problems.
- Monique (7/5): Good - The view was nice. Everything was there what you might need. The air conditioning was aimed at a wall in the living area. It did not reach the bedroom. It would only get cool in the bedroom after the living room was cooled and if you left the bedroom door open all the time. We arrived late on a very hot day (we had let the hosts know) and the room was not pre-cooled. We wanted to sleep immediately which was hard as it took some time to cool the place down.
- Ulaş (9/5): Superb - The Owner Nikola is a very warm person, I personally Thank him for his great hospitality.Sorry that I did not have enough time to try your Rakija :)
- Filip (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Bright apartment with a wonderful terrace to relax on. - Nikola is a wonderful host. The property is away from the madness of Dubrovnik, but the walled city can be easily accessed. The apartment is bright and spacious with wonderful views over towards the city and harbour. Supermarkets, bars, etc. are close to hand. Nikola let us keep our bicycles on the property. Great value for Dubrovnik and the terrace is special, perfect to relax on and have a drink or breakfast.
- Kayla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachel (10/5): Best hosts - Hosts were amazing, a super sweet couple. Some homemade liquer as a welcome drink when we arrived which was lovely too. View was amazing from the terrace especially at night with the city lights. Would definitely stay there again if we were to return.
- Sofia (10/5): Exceptional - very clean and comfortable. host was incredible and so helpful
- Rosik (8/5): Very good - location and close to the beautiful beach and view and owner is very kind house is very high on the hill, so if you struggle to walk, any disability this might be the problem also no tv in the room, small shared kitchen
- Carolyn (10/5): Fantastic price for a charming house with welcoming owners - The hosts are so kind and brought us shots and a carafe of wine to welcome us! The porch is beautiful and a great place to hang out. The location is nice and quiet - away from old town but an easy bus ride to old town and close to sunset beach and the promenade there. There are a lot of steps to get up to the house if you walk.
- Chara (10/5): Exceptional - Very cute apartment, great view, excellent location, hospitable owners. I spent one night in the old town and I much preferred this accommodation instead. The center is just a short bus ride as well. I really enjoyed my stay there so there wasn't really something I didn't like. Perhaps only that there was too much light (despite the blinders), but nothing that a sleeping mask can't solve.
- Domagoj (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rainer (8/5): Erinomainen hinta/laatusuhde - Majapaikka sijaitsee kadulla, jonne ei pääse autolla. Kävelymatkaa portaita pitkin joko ylämäkeen tai alamäkeen 60-80 metriä. Meitä se ei haitannut kevyiden laukkujen kanssa. Isäntäväki todella ystävällisiä ja heidän englannin kielen taitonsa oli välttävää tasoa, jolla perusasiat selvisivät.
Sijainti noin 300-400 m Lapadin kaupunginosan kävelykadun varrelta, jonka kupeesta lähtee bussi vanhankaupungin muurin sisäänkäynnin kupeeseen. Kävelykadun toisessa päässä on Sunset Beachin ranta-alue.
- Alexander (10/5): Very good - The location was close to transportation to old town Dubrovnik and the view was fantastic. Nicola welcomed me with a shot of rakija and tried to accommodate in every way. They kept my bags until 9 PM! The street was steep and hard to negotiate with baggage
- Mathieu (10/5): Beautiful place in Dubrovnik - Maria and Nikolas are extremly cool and we really love our stay there. Thank-you very much for everything. The place is lovely with a beautiful view and it was really clean. Beds are a little bit too tough but it was okay
- Johnniekapa (8/5): Nice place for sleep - It was just a room. In comparison with other houses in dubrovnic was cheap, but generally very expensive. NIKOLAS was great host. Very small. Just for sleep.
- Radovelinov (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yingjun (8/5): Very good -
- Rita (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely place. The hosts are amazing!
- Anastasia (8/5): Very good -
- Rachel (10/5): Lovely host - and they kindly did our laundry for us as there was no washing machine. - Great location. Excellent balcony. Nothing - is perfect
- Giulia (7/5): the location is close to beaches and restaurants and you can easily arrive to the old town by bus. The owner was super p - location, easy check-in, patio, value for money forniture and bathroom really old
- Hattie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good - Clean rooms and nice staff. Lot of stairs from the beach.
- Dina (9/5): Superb - it is pretty comfortable and clean. but fridge wasn’t working, conditioner works but old. no hair dryer. but there is cooking place and drinking water is available. It is located up in the hill a bit. so little difficult to walk especially in hot weather. Furnishing is really old.
- Nihit (7/5): Good -
