The only issue was our prebooked driver from the airport dropped us off at an access to the old town which required lugging our suitcases down many flights of uneven stone stairs and was approx ten blocks from our room versus the no stairs and three block option we discovered post arrival. Maybe add the address of the best drop off location to save future guests from experiencing a similar issue? A couple of bottles of water in the fridge would have been appreciated.

• michael (10/5): Best location for the old town and just off the Main Street. - Central location for the old town and because it was a few yards from the main thoroughfare, it was absolutely perfect. Very helpful host and the room was large with a beautiful en suite. Even had a fridge in the room and air conditioning unit (not required). The most comfortable bed ever made for a great sleep. Would definitely recommend and will book again. Nothing. It’s fabulous.

Forcément les rues adjacentes sont bruyantes car en plein cœur de la vieille ville. Mais cette rue en particulier est calme.

Kleine Zusatzinfo: Wenn mann raus kommt rechts und dann links in die Setenstraße gehen, ca. 2 Minuten auf der rechten Seite ist ein kleiner Bäcker (Bakery Panificio) - Preis-Leistung ist perfekt. nichts. • Lhayani (2/5): Punaises de lit - L’emplacement est parfait en plein centre de la vieille ville. Les hôtes sont gentils. Il y a des punaises de lits de la lit dans la chambre, nous devions rester deux nuits, nous avons découvert leur présence le deuxième jour et avons quitté les lieux et préféré faire notre dernière nuit ailleurs. Les propriétaires nous ont remboursé 70% de notre séjour. Nous avons peur d’en ramener chez nous et nous devons inspecter chacun de nos sacs et habits dans les moins détails. De quoi réellement gâcher les vacances. En voyant les autres commentaires à ce sujet (en triant par notes les plus mauvaises), il semble inquiétant que les propriétaires loue la chambre en connaissance de cause.

• Ambar (2/5): Room was INFESTED with bed bugs - Location is ok I am very disappointed with my stay here. The room had bed bugs everywhere (including the beds, sheets, floor, blankets). I was unable to get any sleep during my stay in Dubrovnik because of this - this ruined my trip as I was exhausted during the day, very uncomfortable from the many bug bites and worried about bringing the bugs home. When I messaged the property on Booking.com after to let the owners know so the issue could be resolved for future guests (and also shared pictures showing the bed bugs, as seen below), I was very rudely told that there were no beg bugs, despite the evidence I shared, and that no guests have complained of this previously (even though previous reviews clearly show guests have had issues with bed bugs here before!). I was also told that I should have gone to the owner who lived nearby whilst the issue was happening - I of course did not do this at the time as I did not want to leave the room on my own at night, and disturb the elderly owner whilst she was sleeping. I’m very disappointed with the stay, and that the owner and agency seem to be saying I am making up that there were any bed bugs.

• Rozalia (8/5): Good room to stay in the centre of Old Town - The location is perfect, and everything is in walking distance. Host, Katja, prepared for us the welcome drinks and organised the help to bring my luggage to the room (2nd floor by stairs) from the ground floor. Air-condition, fridge in a room, electric kettle in common area, good WiFi, quiet room good shower. Thanks Stip stairs (2 floors), small room and bathroom, small shower cabin, no power point in bathroom to use use the fan.

• Bethany (10/5): Highly recommend this central accommodation for Dubrovnik! - This is an amazingly central spot in Dubrovnik’s Old Town. Everything we wanted to see was within ten minutes’ walking distance. I got sick during my time in Croatia and it was great being able to go to some site seeing but then easily pop back to the room for a rest. Very quiet and clean. The host is also lovely. Not much hot water for showers.

• Katie (10/5): Great location, great room, and great host! - This property was phenomenal. There are plenty of hotels surrounding old town that are at least double or triple the price, but it feels surreal staying in the heart of old town. Katja was very nice, leaving us welcome beverages, and allowing us to keep our bags late after checkout. Unlike other places we stayed at throughout Croatia, it included shampoo, soap, air conditioning, and other amenities. Communication was clear, and her english was phenomenal! Thank you for being so welcoming and for the wonderful room. Nothing!

The apartment was very clean, with great water pressure in the shower. The location is amazing: we walked all over the Old Town, took a boat trip to Lokrum Island, and swam right by the city walls.

• Madhvika (8/5): Good location, great host, pleasant trip! - The host was such a nice lady, she was friendly and it creates a good vibe. She replaced our towels, and shower gel when was over. The location is the cherry on top, we could escape the scorching sun and come back to rest as many times as we wanted. The isolation of noise was amazing! Once you close the window, there is no noise from the street downstairs. The bed was firm enough for us. The room was clean. There were some nice touch, like snacks and sweets on the table, juice in the fridge and she gave us a little token before going. Was indeed a nice gesture. Beware, there are a lot of stairs to go to the rooms. Part of the stairs are lined up with the host’s accessories. There is only one small bin in the toilet, we felt there should have been another one in the room as we had few stuffs to throw for our 5 days stay and had to put in plastic bags. The pillows were too soft and we had to ask for replacements. The shower head is dirty, think they need to change it. Just a note here, the water from the shower can go cold on you if you are having a long shower or 2 people in a row went for a shower, because the capacity is only 15lt. It will take 20-30 mins to heat up again. The shower cubicle is small.

I bit noisy in early morning when the city streets get cleaned by the city service, but there is nothing can be done regarding this.

Perfect for anyone wanting to beat the crowds and enjoy the charm of the area early in the day! The beds and pillows could definitely be more comfortable, as we didn’t get the best night’s sleep. With a little upgrade in that area, the stay would be perfect! Nevertheless, it us a great place to stay.
• Donna (8/5): - In the middle of old town, the room was spacious with a double bed and bathroom. A fridge was provided as well as a microwave and kettle with coffee and tea in the next room. Noting this is on the second level of the property so you do need to navigate the stairs with your luggage.

We were also able to come back to get a break from the heat due to the location of our accommodation. It was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The host made our toddler feel welcomed. The stairs! It will be a challenge for those with accessibility issues. But I didn't mind the stairs. It was a workout.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely stay in old town - The room was perfect for what we needed. For the price it was a winner as the location is only a second walk away from the Main Street in Dubrovnik Old Town. However, its location is nestled in a little side street so you don’t get here too much noise from the Main Street! Our room was just a simple room with 2 single beds. It is above a family home/ restaurant so you have to walk up a little stair case past there apartment to get to your room. There was a shared kettle and microwave which we didn’t make use of ( on the shared landing) and a fridge inside our room. The small shower room was perfect, the shower was great - good water pressure. The air con could have been a little better - but we were staying on 2 of the hottest nights of the year so that could be the reason why! The landing at the top of the stairs is also shared with the other rented out room in this apartment so we heard a little noise from the other guests and the landing light wasn’t turned off at night so that slightly disturbed us as it meant the room wasn’t completely dark ( the room door has frosted glass).

When they met my daughter katja brought us some chocolates meant for her granddaughter which my daughter really appreciated. When we had some problems with the bedding they were very helpful and got it sorted. The location was great and had a bar 10 meters away which had live piano music.
• Lisa (4/5): Nice location doesn’t make up for the bed bug bites I got while staying two nights here (the bites stayed with me the 9 - I liked the location. It was very close to the Pile Gate and within the city walls. There is a rug beneath the bed and it smelled very strongly of air freshener. The apartment appeared to be clean and so I thought the bites I got while staying there for two nights were mosquito bites. The photo of the “red” bite was the one I got after the first night that I thought could have been a mosquito or spider. As the bites started to blister and itch (after the 2nd night, the “mosquito “ bites started to blister and itch badly…I bought an anti-itch cream and bug spray at the pharmacy that morning because I still thought it was mosquitoes or maybe a spider) after I had checked out at 11am, I realized it was bed bug bites. I was only able to check the internet while at the car rental place that morning. I discovered they were bed bug bites. The owners never responded to my messages on booking.com. Booking.com was no help either and has sided with the owners who claim that they have had no other complaints about bed bugs and refuse to refund my stay because I didn’t complain while I was there. Honestly, I thought they were mosquito bites as they hadn’t swelled up and blistered while I was there. I have never had bed bug bites before so wasn’t aware that this is what had happened. This affected my whole trip and I was nervous that I was bringing bed bugs into my accommodations for the next stays in Zadar and Split. I was embarrassed to walk around too in the hot weather with the bites. No help at all from the owners (they seem to not believe that it happened as they told booking.com I had not complained while there) and that no others had complained about their accommodation.

The host provided me with a juice drink at check-in. Spacious room with a table and chairs. The room was also equipped with a fridge and air-conditioning unit. The curtains doesn't provide much privacy.

• Sofiia (2/5): - The host was very rude and unresponsive. There were bugs in the room and the other room had bed bugs which could easily be brought in to the our room. She completely dismissed the concern that was brought to her attention about the bugs. On our last night she yelled at my friend and I for being outside and taking pictures. She then called us bad people and threatened to kick us out. Out of so many places I have stayed at, this was one of the worst!

Personally, I need darkness to sleep and the curtains are too thin to block out the light so I ended up waking up early because of the brightness. Anyway, I still recommend the place.

• Tony (9/5): A pleasant guesthouse in the old town - Very central location, in the middle of the old town. Shops, restaurants, cafes and main sights were all within a few minutes walk. The room was clean and comfortable with a fridge and air conditioning. Although it can get lively at night in the town, the windows kept out most of the noise. The host was very kind and welcoming. Bathroom was small. Room is on the third floor above a restaurant and family home; you have to go up narrow stairways to get to the room.

A couple of minutes away from Pile gate where you can take a bus towards bus station or port in less than 20 min for excursions. Room was simply furnished but with everything you need, modern bathroom, fridge and storage space. Katja is really sweet and available if you need anything.
• Petra (8/5): Clean room in a great location - - great location (you don’t have to climb any steps to get there, it’s very easy to find, grocery store is a 5 minutes walk away) - when you close the windows you can’t hear any noise from the street - hostess was very kind - the room was clean - fridge in the room, kettle and microwave in the hall - in the evening you can hear live music from the nearby cafe - overall it’s a great place to stay for a couple of nights but for a longer stay I would choose something else (bigger) - very tiny bathroom - although the bathroom was very clean, there was mold in the shower (it probably won’t cause any problems to most people but I’m allergic to it so I had some troubles because of it) - the rooms are on the third floor and the halls and stairways are very narrow and lined with the owner’s stuff (boxes, scooters, exercise bike etc.), so you have to be careful not to kick something over - there was some noise from inside the house all night, every night (it sounded like a very loud washing machine)

• KEVIN (8/5): Great location - These rooms are all about location as they are located on a side street in Dubrovnik's old town. So you spend little time enjoying what Dubrovnik has to offer. The rooms are pretty basic but met all of our needs. Katarina was very friendly.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Great location - Katja was a very kind and welcoming host. The room was clean with a mini fridge. The location is so convenient.. right off the Stradun. The room is on the 3rd floor so you have to carry your luggage up several narrow flights of stairs.
• Janet (2/5): Awful - It is an old room above a restaurant. You have to manage to get through a small entrance & then up the stairs crowded with boxes & bottles. The bed was rock hard & the pillows even worse. Apart from a bottom sheet on the double bed, the only other bedding I was given was a frayed old single sheet & a smelly old blanket. I GOT NO SLEEP. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE COMFORTABLE.
