Guest Reviews
- Judith (10/5): Characterful and unique house. - This is an old family house with character. It is a unique and quirky place to stay. Come here if you want somewhere authentic. Its location is great; near the port and a few minutes from the bus stop for buses to the old town. It is a little oasis with a lovely garden with chairs and recliners. The beds are big and comfy, it is well equipped, and everything is clean. The host is helpful and friendly. Nothing to say.

- Robert (4/5): We were not expecting this type of accomodation to say the least - The property was somewhat easily accessible. The property was a flat let as part of a house in which the owner lives in. The front room is used as well as the upstairs residence.
The owner entered the rental space while we were renting it (out for the day) and cleaned up our dishes etc. We could have not locked our rooms as this was not expected. This did not make us feel safe.
The front room of the ground floor is used actively by the owner, who is a smoker and the smell of cigarette smoke enters the first bedroom through a communal door (which is kept shut and covered by a wardrobe). The owner also smokes outside - right besides the bedroom windows.
The property mentioned free parking available upon reservation. I was sent parking information along with my check in information. However parking is not actually free and we paid 25 euro per day.

- Mehdi (9/5): - Gentillesse de l'hôtesse et le calme et paisible maison et jardin Literie et vétusté des équipements
- Niels (10/5): - Very friendly host who is chatty and kind. Beautiful location near the beach and close to the center. Always great to meet such warmhearted people.
- OLEKSANDR (3/5): "Not Worth the High Rating – Very Disappointing Stay" - Good location if you've come to see the city, but it's far from the beach.Well, that's all. I really didn’t want to write a bad review — I even thought I would just say nothing at all. But after what happened, I have to share my experience so that others don’t get caught by the high rating like I did.
First of all, the rating of over 8 is beyond me — I would give it maybe a 3, and that’s being generous. It feels like an elderly lady decided to rent out her personal home, which is clearly not intended for short-term rental. Everything inside is old and about to break. The fridge barely cools, there is no sink in the kitchen, the floors are sagging. But the worst part is the heat — the house gets so hot that we simply couldn’t sleep at night, and there is no air conditioning.
After a sleepless night, we were having breakfast when, at 10 AM, the host suddenly came in and started telling us to leave — I have never experienced anything like this before. She even complained that we didn’t sweep the kitchen floor.
I’m writing this so people understand — this property is not suitable for renting, especially in the summer. Don’t be fooled by the high rating.
- Selena (10/5): Great place to stay! - Clean, tidy, and comfortable accommodation. The host was lovely and happy to answer any questions we had. Close to public transport, the supermarket, and some food spots. We loved our stay here and would happily come back.
- Jone (10/5): -
- Daniel (10/5): Incredible place - Our stay was lovely. Enjoyed everything, rooms, kitchen and park. The Lady is a so nice person. We will missand remember our stay there!
- Teresa (8/5): - It’s like staying at your grandma’s house. The host is welcoming and takes time to show guests the amenities. Like grandma’s house, some areas are quirky. You should like cats if you stay here.
- Dimitrios (8/5): Very good - The location was good. The house was very old, everything in the house was very old too, it looked like abandoned.
- Lewis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Madalina (8/5): Very good - 1. **Helpful Host**: The host was very helpful, presenting us with information about the area, assisting with bus transportation, and recommending some beaches. While the host was very helpful, they could sometimes be a bit bossy.
2. **Cleanliness**: The apartment was very clean, which made the stay more pleasant.
3. **Proximity to Town Center**: The location is reasonably convenient, being 30 minutes by foot or 5 minutes by bus to the center of town.
Overall, while the apartment has some appealing qualities such as helpfulness of the host and cleanliness, there are notable drawbacks, particularly concerning comfort and ease of access. 1. Difficult to Find: The apartment’s location was hard to reach by car, which caused some initial frustration.
2. Agency Communication: When calling the number provided for booking, we were connected to an agency rather than the owner directly, which could be less personal.
3. Additional Parking Fee: The parking lot required an additional payment, which wasn’t ideal. We found a parking lot with 20 euro for 24h.
4. Old Furniture: The furniture in the rooms is very old.
5. Lack of Air Conditioning: There is no air conditioning, and the single fan in the bedroom did not provide sufficient cooling, causing the bedrooms to get warm at night.
6. Owner’s Proximity: While the owner lives in the same building, they reside on a different floor.
7. No iron.
8. Laundry Fee: If you want to do laundry, you need to pay an additional 13 Eur to the host, which feels a bit expensive. A more reasonable fee might be 5 EUR per wash, especially considering other apartments offer laundry facilities for free.
- Weldon (7/5): Good -
- Janet (10/5): Exceptional - It was so lovely clean and close to the port.
It felt very personal and loved. The owner was on site and totally available but not in your face!
The accommodation was immaculate and welcoming. It did feel like a step back in time, but that added to the beauty of it!
They do have pets, but they didn't invade us and we were naughty and encouraged them ( sorry - not sorry)
There is a supermarket next door which was very handy as we had needed to get picnic items!
Accommodation was very safe and secure! Nothing!
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional - Very good location. The lady who runs the place is very friendly.
- Anonymous (8/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our time there . It is ideally located. - Ivana is an excellent host who speaks great English. Ivana gave great help with information as to how to get around. Her house has a certain charm about it . It is a 30 minute walk to the Old town or a short bus ride . Buses are frequent. The apartment is very close to both the ferry terminal and the main Dubrovnik bus station.
- Esther (8/5): Good stay - Big rooms and comfortable beds, good kitchen and bathroom, lots of outdoor space to relax and lots of cats to pat :) you can walk to Bellevue beach for a swim but it’s not the easiest walk! It was quite hot at night with just fans, but we were also in Dubrovnik during a very hot time. The location is not bad but to get to most restaurants etc you will have to go towards the old town
- Sharon (9/5): Superb -
- Adam (8/5): Very good -
- Stanev (2/5): Could have been much better - 15 Euro for laundry… shocking and it was very old.
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional - Đurić was an incredible host, incredibly accommodating. The house was clean and so central, making it easy to get everywhere with a short bus ride.
- Ekaterine (8/5): Very good -
- Vinicius (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ayla (9/5): Superb - The host was super welcoming and nice.
Location was good with easy access to the interesting spots. Apartment is spacious and comfortable. The bedroom does get warm but thats to be expected.
- Valbona (10/5): Exceptional -
- M (9/5): Superb -
- Janene (7/5): Lovely and homely. The host Ivana was very caring - very close to services Street noise due to demolition site nearby
- Razan (8/5): Nice location, kind host - Ivana is very kind. She owns a few cats at the property she takes care of, they are clean and nice to say hi to in the morning.
The house is very well maintained
- Rucińska (10/5): A very pleasant stay at a very nice house! Thank you, Ivana! - The house is located 2-3 km from the old town of Dubrovnik, maybe a bit too far to go on foot. There is a supermarket right next to it. The owner is very nice, thoughtful and outgoing. She was helpful with everything we needed, including the parking space, which is a huge challenge in Dubrovnik. It is a pity our stay was so short. Will definitely come back!
- Leah (8/5): friendly owner, good location - very friendly and helpful owner. love the location it is out of old town and by the harbour. a two minute bus journey to old town. near to a supermarket too. towels part of the property. no tea or coffee
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional -
