- Gina (10/5): - This was the perfect place to stay for my short work trip. It was extremely clean and felt very secure. The room was spacious and had a little desk where I could work. Even their simple breakfast coffee and pastry were perfect before I headed to work. I also greatly appreciated that they offered on-site parking, which was also secure. The only thing that was a little challenging was that there were limited options for places to eat around the immediate area. I walked to Chipotle, but for me, it was tough because of a hill.

The hotel is very modern, stylish, and exceptionally clean. The rooms are thoughtfully designed and comfortable, and the entire place has a fresh, contemporary feel. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even more pleasant. One thing to note is that all communication is handled via email—there’s no way to call the front desk directly. While everything went smoothly, this might be something to consider depending on your preferences. Despite that, I truly enjoyed my stay and would definitely return. Highly recommend The Metric for anyone looking for a clean, modern, and comfortable place to stay in LA!

- Gerald (10/5): Great spot at a good price - Very easy pre-registration and check-in procedures. Clean, simple room. No closet but there are hangers and ways to hang up clothes throughout the room. Water was hot and pressure was good (and we were the far end of the top floor). Wifi was a bit spotty. The morning muffins were fantastic. Everything was very clean. Neighborhood has a school right across the street and some Mexican restaurants, liquor stores, 7-11 within 2 blocks. Would definitely stay here again.

Rooms are great. yes there is a lack of counter space and hanging but if you tend to live out of your suitcase it works. We used there storage locker for our luggage because we had some time between check out and our flight. Once again so easy.

Everywhere smelled so good inside the hotel. Even the parking area was so neat and clean. It really blew my mind how a hotel can be this clean. Staff were so accommodating, nice and friendly. Checking in and out were easy peasy. Hassle free. Free coffee and pastries in the morning. The room was spacious. Bathrooms the perfect size. Nice shower, toiletries nice too. Comfy bed. The only little thing missing was a microwave. Lol Other than that, it was the best stay ever.

The hotel was super clean. And I mean super clean. Very modern. Easy checkout. Nice coffee and pastries in the morning. Room was comfortable. I would HIGHLY recommend this place and won’t hesitate to stay here again.

I found a charge on my credit card and had to call to find out they had charged me for a late checkout. Front desk called at 1130 to remind me that checkout was 11am. I said "Ok I'll be out in 20 minutes" and she said "ok". I took that as permission. It's the principle...clearly they don't appreciate their customers. I would not stay here again.

- tiffany (2/5): Robin "the Manager" and apparent "owner" - I booked my son a hotel here for a few days and unfortunately his flight was delayed. He had called ahead of time to let them know of the change. When he landed, he went straight to the hotel and his coworkers needed to use the restroom, so they attempted to go upstairs to his room. He called me and told me the lady Robin "the manager" who had opened the building immediately called his room and threated to have him kicked out and his coworkers if they didn't leave immediately. I wasn't aware that a person couldn't have someone up in their room to handle their business after a long flight. Needless to say, this lady was not just profiling but also left a note at the front desk advising them to keep an eye on my son. This was absolutely the worst part of their stay and as a mother this made me worry more because I didn't know what was going to happen. I do NOT recommend this hotel and whomever this lady is needs to stop judging a book by its cover! You're part of the problem in this world!!! For the amount of money paid I wish I would have booked somewhere else. Waste of money and respect! I just called too, and she was extremely rude to me and belittling. I asked her who the owner was, and she told me she was and even lied saying he had 4 people with him. She should be ashamed of herself the way she spoke to me if she is the manager, they seriously need to replace her. Her customer skills are nonexistent. I hope that call was recorded because she lacks professionalism.

It was so intense it gave me a headache. There’s no reason for it to smell that intense. If they tone down the smell, it’s the perfect hotel to stay at.

- Catherine (2/5): Would not recommend unless you are a backpacker. - This accommodation is NOT for anyone who likes independence and privacy. It is more for back packers. There are no facilities for making tea or coffee in the room. You have to wait until 7am when the office is open to make a cup of coffee-get dress and go down to the office and get it. The free pastries, were the same ones left over for the three days we were there, so dry and stale by the time we left. The coffee comes out of a machine and was not hot by the time you get back to the room. The area around the accommodation, we were told by receptionist that it was safe at night to go out - She did say she lived in the area for the last 30 years -so yes it probably was safe for her- but for elderly or new people to the area, we did not want to risk it. You need a car to get to this hotel there is no direct train or bus transport, Taxi, $100 American to get to it, and get out at night to any eating places. The food in the takeaway shops is not worth buying. We could not even make a sandwich in our room as when I asked for a knife at reception, was advised, "we don't have knives here". The cleaner was the only person who was pleasant, and she certainly does keep the place clean. I am still waiting for the iron-which when I asked for it was advised "we don't like to clutter the rooms, so we keep things to a minimum. We paid twice the price via hotels.com than this accommodation has it advertised for. And yes the accommodation price charged by the Metric was still overpriced.

From the moment you walk in and through the room, everything was clean! I love the two bath mats - very helpful in a spacious bathroom (like the nightlight, too). Comfortable bed, and the morning pastry hit the spot! Would definitely stay again!
- David (10/5): - I think this is a great place to stay when you want to be close to a couple of different areas in LA. We've now stayed twice when needing to be in DTLA but also close to Silver Lake and Echo Park. The only downside here is there are very few amenities (no gym, no bar/restaurant, etc) but it's a very large room that's clean and quiet, and they do provide breakfast pastries with tea and coffee throughout the day in the lobby. I would suggest they offer a gluten-free option though. The staff is very friendly and overall this place is a great hotel for those who are spending more time out and about but want to have a quiet, safe hotel to return to.

- Richard (10/5): - Great gem in the middle of the concrete jungle. The rooms were impeccably clean, with minimalistic modern furnishings. If you are a bad sleeper and picky about beds like me, you will be pleasantly surprised by the incredible mattress provided in these rooms. The pillows and bed were heavenly. My only gripe is that the rooms could use a small couch or a love seat to relax in. This hotel is compact due to its location so if you don’t plan on spending a day in relaxing and instead just need a place to sleep and unwind at night then I wholeheartedly recommend The Metric.

- Matthew S (10/5): - The Metric was a great place to stay, centrally located to downtown and the Echo Lake neighbourhood. Check in and parking were very easy. The room was very nice and had everything we needed. Great to be able to grab a coffee each morning!
- Matthew (6/5): - Hotel is a little out of the way and the aircon is noisy and ineffective. I stayed in 4 different hotels during this trip and this was the only one to claim to be unable to provide daily housekeeping due to Covid - more of an excuse to cut cost.

- Samarchiel (10/5): - We loved the modern look of the place and how close downtown LA was to this hotel. It is kept very clean, and the area is quiet. The room was very clean. Would definitely stay here again!
