Guest Reviews
- Jose Sebastian (8/5): Value for momey - Value for money. Not too small and had complete amenities with laundry and small kitchen. No seating at lobby, would be great to have at least a bench while waiting for check-in or pickups.
- SHIH YIN (8/5): -
- Kee Mohd Thariq bin (8/5): A great apartment-hotel that is value for money and a great base to explore Tokyo - Getting a big room in Tokyo for a good price is a challenge, but BON Tokyo Asakusa provides a good deal for a big room and still close to the main attractions of Tokyo. Asakusa area is walking distance and the Asakusa metro station is well connected. There is no lobby where you can chill out, but its not a big deal. The room cleaning service is not free, you need to pay extra. Nothing much to complain about really.
- Reinder (10/5): Clean, comfortable, good location and friendly staff. -
- Louise (7/5): - Close to Asakusa. Had good facilities. Very comfortable bed. Close to SkyTree tower. Difficult to locate the hotel initially.
- Florian Tobias (9/5): - Quasi alles, nettes Personal, gute Ausstattung.
- Omaid (9/5): - Great and safe location. Comfortable apartment, a little tight for 5 of us. But location was awesome. Highly recommend to families with kids. Washer dryer inside inside which was great. The apartment was amazing but missing an iron
- Sharpe (7/5): Excellent location - The room had cooking facilities ( didn't use) full fridge with freezer. The drying room and washing machine was very useful and loved that it wasn't a washer/dryer. Windows that you could open, centrally located with 4 convenience stores nearby. Walking distance to trains/subway and the main hub of Asakusa and walking distance to Skytree and Asahi tower. Lift and security access to our room. Storage to unpack. Bed and pillow was extremely soft and uncomfortable. When we arrived we were greeted by a staff member that was sick and they coughed ( no mask) and not super helpful. The room was very dusty. We didn't get room service even though we were there for 5 days( most places will service after 3 days). The photo's made the room look bigger and it was extremely tight. Couldn't plug the kettle in the kitchen..

- Jessica (8/5): -
- Sherrilyn (10/5): Convenient stay in apartment style - Appreciated the apartment style and views of Asakusa (we were on 9th floor). Location was good. Free laundry Beds were a bit small but limited space was expected. We couldn’t reach staff when we checked out to leave baggage (~8AM), so ended up having to store it elsewhere
- Miguel (8/5): - Location
Good conditions and enough space with a kitchen area and a small table Expensive
Check in English fluency
- Huong (8/5): -
- Ivy (10/5): - 8 mins walking arrive Senso Ji ,very convenient .Super clean & comfortable bed ~ Nothing
- Nurul Syafiqah (9/5): Love it! Will recommend and come back again! - It’s close to a lot of halal food options, the Senso-ji-temple and asakusa train station. It also has a washing machine and small kitchenette for longer stays. Nil
- Alec (10/5): -
- Claire (8/5): Great location in Asakusa near SkyTree - Location Double beds quite small, my husband slept on sofa
- hapurple (9/5): Lovely spacious hotel in great location - Very spacious apartment-style room with plenty of storage! Nice sized bath, laundry facilities in the room which was great. Balcony provided some fresh air. TV had Netflix. Great location close to Asakusa centre. Would have been nice for some coffee/tea to be provided in the rooms, felt a bit stingy! Taking rubbish down was a bit annoying as had to do it before 10am.
- Yulia (10/5): Great location, great facilities, good value for money - Clean and comfortable, the apartment has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Room cleaning is not provided.
Vicino a family mart e 7/11. Stanza pulita, cucina sufficientemente attrezzata.
- Janet (8/5): Great little apartment had all we needed. Clean, modern and well laid out. - Staff were really helpful booking taxis and helping with directions. It was a bit noisy. Pillows were lumpy!
- Elisabeth (10/5): Loved it! Beautiful views, Easy Access, and Exploration Galore! - Unlike a 4-star hotel or hotel, Bon Tokyo Asakusa gives you more of a cute roomy studio apartment experience! We had our own balcony, washer + air drying, and a little kitchen.
While there is no breakfast, you are close enough to the station and the food scene as well as attractions like Senso-ji and Tokyo Skytree. Not to mention you’ll also be surrounded by convenience stores. Additionally, if you come for cherry blossoms you’ll be right near Sumida Park/ River which has bunch of them! Gorgeous area to take a stroll and not as busy as more famous areas. I really enjoyed the location as it was nestled near residential area and not too far from all the action. The rooms aren’t as soundproof as a fancy hotel (at least from the window/balcony). Some sirens can be heard which may disrupt sleep but for the most part it wasn’t too bad in my experience.
- Gregg (8/5): The place was pretty comfortable. No frills. -
- Aliyeva (10/5): -

- Janica (5/5): The booked unit is nice but felt like a staffed airbnb. For the price, find somewhere else. - The location is great, it’s a few mins walk to Asakusa Station. Close to Sensoji Temple and nearby attractions. Lots of places to grab food. Close to convenience stores. In a quiet area. The actual booked unit is very clean, warm (stayed during winter) and has everything you need so it’s a comfortable stay. The hotel has a few quirks I’ve never encountered before like taking the trash/towels down to reception yourself. No pajamas/home wear - if you need one, it’s ¥3000. Limited cutleries (Booked for 2 people but barely enough for 2). The most con for me was the luggage transfer. I never had a problem with other hotels but I wasn’t pleased with how it was handled. I was only given a luggage tag and no explanation from the staff. The day I needed luggage transfer there was no staff in reception (They advertise as 24hr reception). I saw a booklet that explained how to do luggage transfer at the front desk and found out the luggage transfer they use is very limited - No transfer to Osaka (which surprised me coz it’s a big city). Such a big hassle bringing it straight to Yamato and delayed our plans for the day - this could’ve been avoided if their luggage transfer service has been explained to me when I asked about it.
Tl;dr this hotel felt like a staffed airbnb. The actual unit is nice but customer service is subpar, especially for the price. Will not stay here again.

- kai chieh (10/5): -
- po hung (9/5): -
- Assaf (4/5): Better skip this place - Only that there eas a washing machine in the room All of it. Very Small room, staff is not helpfull. The room is not fun to be at.
- Shafra (10/5): -
- Adel (8/5): Great stay notably for families. - Very close the Asakusa main center notably the Sensô-ji.
Metro stations are also very close, less than 5 minutes walking distance which is great for faillies with kids.
- Gun (8/5): -
- HSIU CHIEH (9/5): -
- David (10/5): Pleasant - Great location
- Sue (10/5): Great stay! - Location. Facilities.
- Diana (8/5): Great location - Although not very spacious, the bed was comfortable. The outlook was good. The location was excellent. Everything necessary was close by. The staff were helpful. The whole building was quiet. It would be better if there were more utensils. Two dinner plates, two mugs, two basic glasses and two bowls, along with only two of each piece of cutlery was a nuisance. Only one sharp knife and practically nothing to use in the microwave or on the cooktop. Spending about 1000-2000¥ in additional supplies, including a tea towel, would be good for residents.
- SZU TING (10/5): Great hotel! -
- Nien fei (10/5): -
- Tiger (7/5): Great hotel & staff but the area has become badly over-touristed. - The accommodation is great. The room is spacious by Tokyo standards and the staff are very helpful. The in-room laundry facilities are fantastic and easy to use and the front desk is staffed most of the day so there is no issue using luggage forwarding. Unfortunately the location itself has become grossly over-touristed. It used to be that the area across the river was nice & quiet but recently, every outing is a gauntlet of tourists dragging suitcases, even into tiny stores and narrow streets, vastly outnumbering the locals, people wearing too much aftershave or perfume, taking up all the seats on crowded trains while locals are forced to stand, blocking doorways & staircases & not following Japanese norms in general. In addition to this, the location is in the path of a frequently used emergency services route, so you will hear sirens all hours of the night and day. It used to be a great location but it's not for us anymore.
- Adam (9/5): -
- Janine (8/5): 3 nights in Asakusa - Close to attractions, close to the train station, self contained, close to convenience stores and restaurants. N/A
- Mafaufau (9/5): Close enough to action and far enough to still be peaceful every day. - Family friendly - uchiro coffee and breakfast in the morning was simple and delicious. Rooms are great size for our family - 2 adults and 2 teenagers
- WEI CHUN (9/5): -
- Hanna (9/5): -
- Chee Wah (9/5): - The hotel is on a quiet street near Asakusa, just a few minutes’ walk from Asakusa Station via exits A2a and A2b. The room is a decent size—quite good for Tokyo. High recommended. Pillow is too hard for me.
- Megan (7/5): -
- Bernadette (9/5): Space, storage, location, clean and quiet - would recommend to stay. - The location was within walking distance from the station. We had medium sized suitcases and found it an easy, level 10 minute walk over a bridge and into the property.
The check - in was straightforward and we all managed our language differences quite well.
It's an Aparthotel so we really enjoyed the space - for storing our suitcases/ small balcony/ washing machine available.
Once settled we did explore around the area. It is on the quiet side of Asakusa which we preferred and happy to walk to the Shrine and Sky Tree. Nothing to dislike really as we would stay again.
I think just clearer instruction on separating the rubbish and its disposal better managed rather than numerous plastic bags left in the small reception area on check out - especially for longer stays or family groups.
- Bakrudeen (9/5): - Location, friendly staff and facilities are very good
- kaori (8/5): -
- Kok Chye (7/5): - 1) There is a small kitchen facilities provide in the room. 1) Most of the time, there will no receptionist present.
2) The temporary luggage area should not be access by public.
3) Towel should be daily change instead by request.
- Jabusch (10/5): -
- Narelle (8/5): - Clean, tidy comfortable and walking distance to the main area. Nothing.
- Sally (10/5): Exceeded expectations. Clean. Lots of room in comparison to other locations. - Washer AND drying unit in bathroom. Clean, hardwood flooring.
- Lesley (8/5): Great location - Location to local area and transportation
Easy access to Asakusa Air conditioning system was abit hit and miss , lack of power points in kitchen , having to juggle between kettle and microwave
- WANMEI (9/5): -
- Katie (8/5): -
- Julian (10/5): Perfect stay to get over jet lag close to Asakusa - Our first accommodation in Japan, and a perfect room set up and proximity to Asakusa (lots of shops and food) to get over our jet lag. Direct line from Haneda to Asakusa with a short walk cross the Sumida river to BON Tokyo. They also provided us with umbrellas on rainy days. Very helpful as it rained on some mornings. Nothing.
- ANNA (10/5): The perfect base for your Tokyo adventure - Location is perfect, close to subway and bus stops, located between Sensoji temple and Skytree. The area has everything you need without being chaotic and overwhelming. Bathrooms, laundry and kitchen were excellent. Sheets were a bit old
- Sadhana (10/5): -
- Christine (8/5): -
- Shu Fen (8/5): Wonderful stayed in Tokyo for New Year - 1. The room is big with balcony, separate bath and toilet, washing machine and small kitchen. I especially like the bathroom heater, where I can set it before or during shower. Very useful during the cold winter.
2. Quiet side of Asakusa and yet easily access to Ginza and Asakusa subway line.
3. Beautiful view of Tokyo sky tree in front of the hotel, Sumida river and nice Sumida Park nearby.
4. Not far from 7/11, Lawson/ Ministop convenience stores. Many restaurants too.
5. Free storage of the luggages after check out. 1. The double bed is a bit small for 2 adults.
2. No reading lights
- Irwan (8/5): -
- Lip Gee (8/5): -
- HWEE MIIN (9/5): - It is convenient that they offer a service to dispose of spoiled baggage for a fee bed too soft
- Natasja (8/5): -
- Carly (8/5): Close to train lines and other amenities. Good location - Good location and good size for a family of 4. Close to Ginza Line, Tokyo Skytree and lots of food options. Outside the man hustle and bustle of Asakusa, but only 5 minute walk to main areas. Had luggage storage. Close to 7-11. Fold out couch was very hard and uncomfortable
- Genevieve (9/5): Great accommodation close to station. - We chose this as close to train station. Proximity of Senso-Ji temple, interesting side streets and great food were all bonuses. Staff were lovely. Clean and well equipped for family of four. The discounted price for last minute booking was really appreciated. Nil
- Charles (8/5): -
- Justina (9/5): Value for money - Quite near to train station, quiet residential area, near to konbini, clean, fully equipped apartment, staff was there for us till late at night for check in Bed too soft and sinks down when you sit, front desk not 24 hours and they off quite early some days
- SHOU-CHING (10/5): -
- Avijon (10/5): Quiet and cosy apartment in the Heart of Asakusa - Convenient location, close to train station, sensoji temple and lots of good restaurants. Place was clean and had polite and helpful staff. Bed was comfortable, medium sized fridge/freezer, seperate toilet + shower bath and washing machine (a big plus as we stayed for 8 nights). Will definitely stay again if we come back to Tokyo! N/A
- Isa (8/5): Great Neighbourhood - Quiet neighbourhood away from the hustle and bustle. Close to popular sites, walking distance to train stations and 7-11. Bed was comfortable with basic amenities including washing machine which was a bonus. Reception staff were amazing!
Niks
