Verified traveler (6/5): Not a luxury hotel - The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, however the advertised breakfast was very bare bones. There was not even milk to put in the coffee, only non-dairy creamer, which is unhealthy and unappetizing. Only donuts, a croissant and instant oatmeal were offered (again, without milk). Yes, there were bananas and oranges. In addition, there is no driveway to pull into, making it difficult to land at the door. We parked our rental car in the neighborhood and arrived back in the morning to find the mirror broken. Parking at the hotel costs $30/night. I would not choose to stay here again.

William (8/5): A very good stay in Culver City - The location was great and just as expected. A big plus was being able to order food from Cholita, the restaurant next door, straight to the room—perfect after a long flight. The hotel and amenities were very clean. The room was spacious, modern, and well-appointed, with a super comfortable bed and a large, stylish bathroom. The overall vibe was relaxed and the air conditioning worked really well. Service was inconsistent depending on who was at reception. I didn’t receive much information at check-in, while others did. Also, the room wasn’t very soundproof—I could hear hallway conversations and a maintenance door repeatedly slamming shut, which made it hard to sleep in, especially with jet lag.

There are multiple restaurants in the area, including a very nice one, Chulita, just a few doors down. The courtyard is a good-sized area with seating that feels isolated from the neighborhood. The room was clean, quiet, and well-stocked with soap and shower needs. They have their own parking garage, although that was an extra charge.
Heather (10/5): - Alsace is one of the cleanest places I’ve ever been. It looks brand new. It absolutely suited my needs as it is close to the 10 and is just ten minutes from a friends house. I found street parking easily - their garage is an extra $30/night. It has a boutique vibe with friendly Joshua there to greet you. In the morning there’s coffee and breakfast breads. Also Nespresso in the room. The neighborhood is not ‘desirable’? Nor is it bad. There’s a fantastic cocktail lounge next door as well as Chulita Mexican food. Another plus is the restaurant will deliver to your room! This includes their fantastic margaritas! Another plus is a great market on the other side for picking up last minute items. Otherwise one might have to walk further or drive. There’s also a Tartine a few more blocks away. Otherwise there’s a printing place and auto parts…it’s just a quirky area. I loved getting a balcony room with a sofa, chairs and table outside! It was like a huge living area! Views of palms over a neighbprhood. Five Wits bath products were very nice - kind of Aveda-herbal scents. Loooved the bedding. It was a wonderful sanctuary in between visiting friends and partying. Very peaceful. Pool area small but also pristine and lovely. Great vibe all around if you like clean modern and calm.

Q9340WTrociom (10/5): Quiet room , great service, and friendly staff. - After a long flight is my was nice to enter the hotel and experience such peaceful and pleasant atmosphere. Me and my friend got to the front desk extremely tired and with a thousand questions. Front desk guy Joshua was great to answer all our questions and worries and gave us the best room and assured us it was nice quiet. He didn’t disappoint. Also gave us great recommendations to go out and eat at Chulitas great food. Overall amazing experience and will return here for all my busyness trips when in Los Angeles.

Melissa (8/5): - I was originally attracted by the lower price paired with the higher customer ratings. I was concerned about the West Adams location, but I didn’t see any negative comments about the area in the reviews. The hotel is new and has nice amenities. I always care about the immediate smell in the halls and rooms and they were clean and pleasant. The beds and crisp white linens were heavenly. The contemporary decor was simple and elegant. It was quiet and felt safe and secure inside. I appreciated bottled water included each day. The woman who checked me in was friendly and helpful. The parking was convenient and controlled and locked. We did not have time or need to explore the area, but it felt a little unsafe. I had not stayed in the West Adams area and did not know what to expect. It seems like an area that is in the process of improving. There are new apartment complexes and a few restaurants. It is 10-15 minute drive to USC. I would stay again, especially if the price remains lower than other boutique hotels.

Ganielle (10/5): - I was in town for a concert just for a weekend. It was a perfect stay for me. Came in late Friday, staff recommended a restaurant within walking distance and then I had breakfast the next day at a nice local cafe. Room was clean and comfortable. Property was quiet. Easy check in/check out process. They do have a small garage and the staff has to let you in and out HOWEVER they will be working on getting a system where the guest can scan themselves in and out. The property is aesthetically beautiful inside as well. Will definitely be returning.

Ben (9/5): Welcoming, very clean and comfortable with ample facilities. Ideal for professionals or short stays - Super comfortable bed and pillows. Very clean. Well kept and equipped gym with modern equipment. Nice and quiet. It would be nice to have an offering of fruit and/or yoghurt with the breakfast items. Not much of a vibe or personality about the place generally but it is nice and smart.
Alan (5/5): Problematic - Locations near family, breakfast is pretty awful, except coffee is good. Parking is a real,pain to get into lot. Noise from room above is huge problem, i was kept up almost 2 hours listening to someone walking around.

My friend forgot her toothbrush and we were able to get one downstairs. There was even small breakfast options. It was a really cute and quiet boutique hotel, would definitely stay here again.
Drew (10/5): - This hotel was very zen/millennial zen feeling. It was quiet and had great vibes during our stay. I loved the new gym equipment including the top-of-the-line Aviron rower which I haven't seen anywhere else. Would definitely book here again if we're in the area

The (9/5): my home away from home - no breakfast but there are about 5 amazing places just down the street like veez or tartine. go out and explore! cindy the front desk manager was the rudest person i've ever experienced in 35 years of hospitality. i hope the owners reprimand her severely for what she did. or simply promote the amazing nancy to be her boss, or just fire her.

Janine (6/5): Not a very good stay - This hotel is very pretty but a lot of things aren’t considered or done very well. Not suitable for a multiple day stay. The fridge was very small and didn’t keep leftovers cold. There was no microwave, which feels like it should be pretty standard. We got one roll of toilet paper and had to call down for more at which point they brought us one more roll. There no room for storage anywhere. The balcony was really beautiful but was typically too sunny to spend time on during the day. There was lack of clarity at check in. We had to call just figure out where to go and they don’t tell you that when you pay for parking ($30 a day) you have to wait for someone to let you in every single time. It just overall did not feel worth the money.

Maria (2/5): - The cleaning staff came into my room unannounced to clean the room. I did not ask them to come inside unannounced. I had left the hotel to run an errand. While I was out that’s when the staff came into my room. They invaded my PRIVACY! My card was charged for a purchase I did not make! I had my notebook on the desk with my passwords to all of my accounts and personal information. Immediately after, I noticed a charge on my bank account that I did not make. I suspect my personal information was compromised to commit fraud. They also charge for a deposit upon arrival. It’s been days and the deposit it’s still not sent to my bank. Horrible experience.

markkot998 (10/5): Nice cozy hotel - It is immediately clear that the hotel is very new. It has a nice modern exterior architecture and it is clean and well equipped. Undreground parking is convenient. It is in good driving distance from the main attractions. Staff is very helpful and friendly.
Sean (10/5): - Very cute, stylish hotel in a developing neighborhood. At first the setting seemed odd - a hotel surrounded by mostly homes, but as we explored found a wonderful bakery (Tartine) and breakfast spot (Vicky's). We were also walking distance to the Metro to attend a football game at USC. Overall great experience!

Peter (6/5): - Much like the real world Alsace Lorraine - this place has slight identity issues. Boutique Hotel vibe? Check! Boutique hotel feeling? No Check! There's a lot I liked and some things I wasn't crazy about. Shower didn't have a door - but the plugs and lamps on each side of the bed was well placed and gave ample room for plugs. Also if you're looking to do any work in the privacy of your room, your seat is a stool. Not amazing - but not unusable. The area itself if fine, felt safe walking alone at night. All in all, I'd recommend it if you pay less than I did.

Chris (10/5): - Have stayed at this hotel a couple of times now and it's so good I'm unlikely to stay elsewhere in LA in future. I find that the attitude of staff on arrival is a really good indication of how a property will be and without question everyone working here are delightful, friendly and helpful. A massive plus. The rooms are perfectly sized with great facilities. Very comfortable and beautifully designed. Great pool and lovely courtyard to relax in. Huge added bonus is the complimentary breakfast doughnuts and coffee!
