• Leif (3/5): Not just vad value for money, but actually bad - The location was great and we liked that there was a sauna and parking. About the room, the only thing we really liked was the size of the bed. Considering the price, everything else did not meet our expectations or was actively bad. For perspective: We got an expensive category of room (even for Albanian standards), supposedly with a nice terrace and view. However, it was very much not the luxury we expected at this price. The room was not clean, with the floor even being sticky in places. The room was noisy, with a main street out front and the windows felt like paper, soundproofing-wise. The terrace was not nice at all, had to be accessed through the bathroom and was actually accessible from the hallway, too - we basically shared it with the whole floor. But the view was not nice after all, and the noise from the street forbade outdoor relaxation anyways. About the sauna (which was actually good): We inquired how to use it at check-in - and were told we could simply go in any time. Turned out we needed to ask for it to be turned on after all, after which it took an hour to get hot. The worst of all, though, was the breakfast. Sure, we are vegans, but despite that not being so special any more, we had asked upfront about options and they had messaged back stating there were going to be options for us. Those turned out to be very sparse and actively unpleasant - we believe the olives had actually gone bad. It's fair to say we were repulsed by the food. Needless to say, we did not have breakfast in the hotel the second morning.

• Ertan (10/5): Amazing - Absolutely amazing experience at Golden Palace in Shkodra! The place is elegant, very clean, and has a truly welcoming atmosphere. The staff were extremely friendly, professional, and attentive throughout the entire visit. The food was outstanding, everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. You can really feel the quality in every dish. Service was fast and well organized, which made the experience even better. One of the best places in Shkodra for sure. Highly recommended, and I will definitely be coming back again! Overall, the experience was very very good and everything else was enjoyable. The only thing I didn’t like is that there isn’t any space or area designed for small children. If you have kids around 1 to 3 years old, it can be a bit difficult since there’s nowhere for them to play or stay comfortably. I think this is something that should definitely be considered for families with young children.

Well the first time I have been there and the train to sale me a different room and I did not expect it then at 6:00 in the morning the next day the cleaning lady was mocking my door of the room someone on phone was telling her is no one there then the breakfast omg don’t bother to pay for it is nothing there then I only started 3 days end every day I need it a new key for the room the 4 star hotel with just 2 stars the end was amazing the set to me that I drink som drinks from the room I haven’t even opened it omg don’t pay ant the end pay before to see what the charge you please people be careful .

Some customers complained about not as generous breakfasts they expected for 5 stars. But we enjoyed the breakfast. Fresh, tasty buffet style. Just the right variety and amount. Making it bigger would be wasteful. Overall, we had a spotless experience.

Café da manhã muito fraco, decepcionou. Atendimento dos funcionários ruim, reservei para 2 noites, e funcionários ligaram falando que era somente 1 noite, depois se desculparam pelo incômodo. Na hora do checkout, saímos às 6:00 da manhã, não tinha ninguém na recepção, tive que ficar esperando, a garagem estava trancada.

• Eaa1947 (4/5): Not a 4 or 5 star hotel,. - Right bang in the middle of the city, it is well located. There is a lot of marble thrown around the hotel and looked promising but unfortunately that is where it all ended. The rooms are located around a strange atrium and it is not easy to manoeuvre 2 suitcases around the rabbit warren. The room is small and there is only one stand for a suitcase. Beds are ok but then the AC did not work and the room got extremely hot. The receptionist came to the room to show me how to fix the AC and noticed how hot the room was. Of course she couldn’t fix the AC as it doesn’t work. Her solution,open the window. Yes but the window opens to the Main Street with noisy traffic and barking dogs and to make matters worse, I got a mosquito in the room, not happy. There is a TV but no remote and the receptionist said that all the channels are in Albanian and no English Channel. Bathroom was ok with hot water and a walk-in shower rather than shower in bath. Breakfast is very ordinary with limited foods which disappear quickly due to slow replenishment of food items. There are good restaurants for dinner close by. Being on the Main Street it can be very noisy stay.
