Guest Reviews
- Alexandre (6/5): Pleasant -
- Christian (10/5): cozy stay in soho - central cozy and practical bins noise of restaurant close by
- Jean-françois (8/5): Too many messages and reminders - Clean well located, nice decoration The price and the overload of instructions and messages
- Michael (8/5): Great efficient space in a wonderful location - Great little space. Very efficient and comfortable. The location is great and we really enjoyed our stay The alleyway to enter the place can be a little rough
- Mollie (8/5): Fantastic, 10/10 recommend! - I loved the aesthetic and vibe of the place! Great location and really comfortable. It would be nice if there were products like toothpaste available, however if I knew ahead of time I would have brought some along!
- Vivian (2/5): - Was terrible I had bed bug bites after spending the night. Entrance to property was back alley of restaurants. It was dirty and not sanitary. Trash was blocking alley.
- Sara (10/5): - This flat was just as promised. Clean. Equipped. The washer/dryer was what we needed! Perfect for our family of 4. A lot of restaurants steps from the door. Great shops just steps from the door. Tourist/sites of interest nearby. Underground nearby. Enjoyed our stay, thanks!
- Marlene (9/5): Great location and everything we needed! - Great location and quick response when we had questions. Small but worked well for the 3 of us. Stairs can be a bit tricky
- Tomasz (9/5): Superb - Perfect location, very good contact with the hosts. Clean rooms with available bed linen. If you are aware of the not entirely comfortable entrance to the building, it is not that bothersome. We would definitely come back here. The pressure in the shower is very weak and unfortunately it is sometimes noisy (due to the garbage bins at the back of the restaurant).
- Laura (10/5): Cute studio in a great location!🙌 - Great location!
- Sotaro (10/5): Exceptional - Location was great shower flow was weak
- Gough (9/5): Absolutely fantastic and superb location - Location Water pressure in shower
- Nicola (10/5): Exceptional -
- L. (10/5): Perfect! - For the price we paid, is really cozy and nothing was missing for me and my partner. We really enjoy to stay in London.
Very friendly and in the best area of London. Thank you so much “HelloGuest”!
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laura (8/5): Perfect bolt hole for exploring - Overall this is a really cute little apartment, it's not spacious but what you expect for the location and price. Perfect for 3 friends sharing. Fully equipped kitchen, heating and air con and sky TV. Location is perfect for exploring soho/covent garden and 3 mins from tube. The access is a little dodgy, down a back lane, the up a back alley behind a restaurant (locked from lane securely) but door opens to their bin store. Shower was a trickle
- James (7/5): Great little property in the heart of soho that lets you imagine you live in the heart of London - Awesome location. Cute little property. Funky retro furniture and pictures A dish drainer to put the plates etc on
Water pressure in shower not great
- Cindy (5/5): Passable - I booked the property due to the location- right in heart of Piccadilly Circus.
The bedding was comfortable. It is teeny tiny!! We had medium-sized suitcases on tiny table inside door, as we could not get them up the tiny stairs. This is not cute or a house. It is the tiniest space you could imagine that anyone would rent out. The price is way too high for the space.
- Diego (6/5): Not satisfied. - Location Pictures don’t show that you have to walk through an alley where is the back of restaurants and they store trash. It’s very smelly, wet and we had to deal with rats walking in and out of place.
- Nikolay (4/5): Worst first impression - Proximity to attractions Space, entrance , noise, old furniture, view on a brick wall, dirty silverware, inconvenient bathroom.
- Alison (8/5): Excellent location - Excellent location. On the door step for everything we wanted A bit dusty and needed a bit of a clean in bedroom area. A/C unit not working the best either
- Sophia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katie (6/5): Pleasant - Location is amazing
The decor is fun and quirky! The top bunk bed was extremely uncomfortable as the mattress is paper thin, it bed wasn’t made up and it is very difficult to get down if you are a smaller person.
Shower is very small and the shower head doesn’t stay up/falls down to chest height so washing hair is a little difficult.
ÂŁ300 security deposit feels excessive.
- Krijna (7/5): Good - the location was amazing
- Charlotte (9/5): Great value for money in a quirky cute place in the heart of Piccadilly Circus - Super cute retro property right in the right of Piccadilly Circus! The location was brilliant and it was great facilities for a couple of nights stay - would definitely stay here again! When you come in the door from the street you have to go down an alley at the back of a restaurant with bins. Not that I minded as once inside it was like being in another retro universe (and was really quiet at night and in the morning) but a heads-up would have been good just to know to expect it.
- Jos (10/5): Exceptional - Location: perfect!
Checkin: super smooth
Rest: fine
- יובל (10/5): overall it was an amazing stay and i would recommend it a lot - it is very similar to the photos, the location is excellent and is close to everything. the entrance to the apartment is also a back of a restaurant so you should go thorough garbage and boxes every time
- Hsin-yi (4/5): If you do not to pay 300 deposit, please do not choose this flat. - It is a cozy flat and close to the metro station. The owner offers some games for kids to play and books to read. 1. Cleanness: I was thinking to prepare simple meals so I booked this place. However, most of the utensils not very clean and new. I only dared to use those that really needed. Particularly the KETTLE. It take me a while to wash it and removed the calcium accumulated.
2. Get the key: The owner was nice and agreed to have an early check-in. However, in the end, no one showed up and we waited near the door for 20 min under the wind with a young kid.
3. Entrance:
- Annie (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (7/5): Refurbish Refurbish Refurbish - This is the most perfect location, 5 minutes walking from the tube and within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go and experience. The location couldn’t be improved upon There was bags of hot water and lovely and warm. We felt safe and closeted in the building. Initial thoughts as we entered were WOW. The furniture was from the 50s and 60s, mismatched and very shabby. No mattress or pillow protectors which should be standard and the shower was so small my husband couldn’t bend over to retrieve the soap.3 times on each of our 3 nights we were woken by the adjoining restaurants emptying their bottles into containers outside. Admittedly by the 3rd night we hardly noticed and the staff from the restaurants were always friendly and happy when we passed them in the alley. With an update of the furniture and furnishings, this place would be outstanding. Please please refurbish
- Mbbarbis (10/5): Five starts experience! - It was a delightful surprise! The house is just lovely, comfortable and Unique. The interaction with the owner was excellent; everything was in good condition, clean and tidy. The location could not be better; two minutes walking distance from Picadilly Circus tube station, the unique Brasserie Zedel is around the corner as Wholefoods. Although located in a very, very centric area, the house is quiet. I slept perfectly during the two nights I was there without outside noises. So if you plan to be in central London, This is the Place! Totally recommended. Everything was perfect; nothing to say.
- Sarah (8/5): Location, location, location. - The location was excellent, access to Soho, Regents Street, Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square and theatre district seconds away. Accommodation was exactly as described. Everything was a bit worn, wonky chair seat, small shower stall and toilet was temperamental.
- michael (10/5): - Great location! Place was cozy was able to walk to many locations in the city. I would stay again!!
- Georgia (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Julie (9/5): Cute little property right in the heart of Soho -
- Tara (8/5): We loved the unit + the stay, great location, nice value... but, wish they'd change the door locks - A wonderful quaint stay in SOHO. The location is prime, incredibly close to subway station, unit is cute, quaint, quiet, safe, clean, and comfortable (a fair price).... we had a very nice stay. Check in was very easy. We stayed when it was incredibly cold, the unit remained warm (there are 2 heaters). There is an instant hot for the shower, hot water never runs out. We found the small kitchen lovely and very accommodating. The beds/pillows/duvets are soft, clean, comfortable, warm. Unit easily accommodates 2, comfortably 3, it will comfortably sleep 4 however my question is where would 4 suitcases go? Floor space is very minimal. I am a space designer and would like to provide a few suggestions to easily incorporate to increase the comfortableness of the stay. Women need large mirrors (particularly when traveling in multiples). Adding a large mirror upstairs, one downstairs (on the MDF wall), and in the bathroom would be wonderful. There is space under the bed that is being used for dormant storage... this is such an ideal spot to "close + slide suitcases under" (freeing up floor space for egress). We kept wishing for more high shelving/bins to place travel items (do you help keep the room tidy). There is a note to not have standing water on the bathroom floor... the shower is sized for a hobbits, I presume larger people are keeping the shower door open to use it.... The shower was built in an extended to the right wall it would double its size (of which it would still be a small shower). But all in all it was an excellent stay, we loveddddddddddddd the unit, and it is true/hon to its listing! My biggest complaint, of which I found a SAFETY/FIRE safety concern (yet easily fixable!)... was the 2 skeleton keys AND combined with having only one set (it is a split panel door, 2 locks/top and bottom), To lock the Front Doors from the INSIDE the skeleton keys are required. We had 3 of us staying there. If 2 guests wanted to leave as 1 of wanted to remain inside (sleep, get rest) this presented a conundrum. If the 2 leaving "took the skeleton keys," the 1 remaining would either not have a locked door or the door would be locked (via the outside) and THUS barring the person inside, unable to get out in case of an emergency. If the person remaining inside "kept the skeleton keys," and locked the door, than the 2 guests upon returning we're at risk of not getting in (because the person inside would be sleeping and with the only set of keys). Adding, at night, if there was a fire emergency the sleeping occupants would have to "wake + struggle" w/ finagling 1-2 skeleton keys in order to exit the unit. This was of grave concern to me. As the unit is essentially set up as a large chimney (it would flame in minutes if a fire incurred). This had us keeping only the top lock engaged and the key resting in the door lock (and us a bit on edge). I was far more concerned of how to "escape" out of this unit than the concern of somebody coming into the unit. My biggest recommendation is to change the locking mechanisms of the front door. Occupants should be able to EASILY/QUICKLY andddddd without "special knowledge" or "a tool" quickly open a LOCKED door and "exit outside, to safety." As a similar scenario presents itself when entering the unit. If a woman was being pursued (of which women are often pursued), as this door is in a quiet back alley, she should be able to quickly open/shut/lock the door. This is unlikely with the use of these skeleton keys.
- Sock (7/5): Small yet compact in the middle of town. - Really cute double decker bed with windows on the roof. Feel like back to childhood adventures. Small space but compact with all the basic needs. The washing machine with dry functions is just perfect! The walkway to the room is actually back-lane or fire exit walkway behind shoplots. If doable, do consider fill up the walkway to reduce the water puddles here and there along the walkway. Toilet flush needs to be fixed, it requires to flush two times for just a piece of toilet paper. For small-build like me, the shower cube is just nice and I do knock on my elbows. So for guest in bigger body-build, be mentally prepared.
- Luke (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (8/5): Cute property in an amazing location for a good price!! - Amazing location, good price and cute decor. Beds very comfy and it was great having air con! good communication via messages prior to arrival. The shower was a little cramped and very slippy, the shower head didn’t stay up very well either. Beds could have done with more pillows and fresh towels during stay.
- Samantha (6/5): Pleasant -
- Stuart (7/5): Good -
- Georgina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Collette (7/5): Good - The location was perfect as was the amenities were also very good. The sitting room chairs were very uncomfortable and not suitable for a space available for three people. Two chairs were not enough or in anyway enough for three people. The foam was too thin and could not sit for long at all. A sofa would have been much nicer.
- Marisa (9/5): Great unusual stay in fantastic location! - Loved the location, central to everything. it had everything we could have wanted for a 2 night stay with my 12 year old (who loved the loft bed). Just great to find somewhere central that’s unusual and not a hotel!
