Jianhua (6/5): Enjoyable just fees aren’t clear - Location is perfect. Facilities new and sufficient friendly staff The price on booking I booked at taxes fees included AUD $ 1296. However at check out the total became: AUD $1769. No extended or extra consumptions. Added 2 days breakfast just not sure where went wrong for the extra charges. Try to communicate and they insist there are more taxes and fees. Otherwise would be a perfect Shanghai Hotel!

Imran (10/5): Very well thought out and planned hotel - Hotel is amazing. Modern, clean and the hotel signature smell is out of this world. I didn’t wanna leave. Room I had was very spacious and the layout was carefully thought and planned. Plenty of restaurants around and a mall directly opposite. Staff were exceptionally good. The only fault I can summarise is the location. It was a bit far from Pudong and the touristy side of Shanghai but the location was quite good.

Angelly, Nataly, and the whole reception team decorated our room and brought some delicious cake. It's a Shangri-La, so you expect a certain level of quality, and honestly, they delivered. The property is beautiful, and the hospitality was as good as any other Shangri-La I've visited. But what stood out to me the most was the Wellness Center, they're not just using a fancy name. It's genuinely nice. Well-equipped, clean, and actually a pleasure to use. A few people really made my stay memorable: · Big Jacky – his passion for food is real. He took the time to explain everything carefully, which was a huge help since I have mild allergies. No issues at all thanks to him. · Emilyn – every single morning at breakfast, she greeted me with a big smile and called me by my name. Such a small thing, but it made me feel truly welcome. · Keigo – gave me excellent recommendations and made me feel like a 5-star guest from start to finish. · Nataly – such a beautiful personality. She was so easy to talk to, and honestly, that kind of genuine warmth is rare to find.

Angelamaria1686868 (10/5): Wonderful stay in Qiantan - This was my first time visiting China, and I couldn't have asked for a better introduction. The experience was excellent from start to finish. One of the highlights for me was the gym. I visited several times, and it was always nearly empty – which is absolutely amazing for a business traveler who wants a quick, uninterrupted workout. The sauna and Jacuzzi were also excellent, especially after long meetings. They helped me unwind and recharge completely. I also got a pretty amazing corner room: spacious, quiet, and with great views. It made my stay even more comfortable. The whole staff throughout the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. But want to really give a special thank you to Nataly. She always greeted me so warmly, asked about my day and how my meetings went, and it was truly a pleasure to see her bright smile every day. That kind of personal touch made my first trip to China feel even more welcoming and memorable.

Let me start with the basics: the breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of dishes. The hotel also features a sauna and turco, which were a welcome relief after long-haul flights. And the location? It's by the Taikoo Li! But what really made the difference during my stay was something far more personal. Having someone on the team who speaks the same language as me made all the difference. Nataly always greeted me by name with a warm smile, and it felt less like a hotel interaction and more like catching up with an old friend. She helped me find a nearby supermarket and even tracked down the caviar I had been looking for: it was truly la cerise sur le gâteau. What I appreciated most was that I could sit and talk with her and completely lose track of time, It reminded me of being back home. When a hotel makes you feel that comfortable—like a guest in their own home country—that's something special. I truly appreciate when hotels offer this kind of genuine hospitality

Thanks to Joey Yuan's attention to detail, she not only noticed the mistake but also arranged for us to be upgraded to an Executive Suite. Additionally, she connected with the guest relations team to have our room beautifully decorated and introduced us to the Jiangnan Wok, a Chinese restaurant with authentic and delicious Huaiyang dishes. Later, we met Daisy Yu in the Horizon Club, who also noticed it was our first stay. She specifically inquired whether we needed anything in our room and coordinated with us regarding our schedule. We appreciate Aileen Huang and Keigo Zhang for attentively listening to our feedback about our first stay. We would definitely consider staying here again next year.
ironmummy (10/5): This hotel is warm, friendly luxury as well as hone-from-home - I love everything about this hotel. I have stayed many times (close to 20 times) and I have always had extraordinary service. The beds are comfortable, food amazing, staff divine. Honestly, I would live there if I could! The mall immediately across the road has great restaurants and a lovely buzzy atmosphere. The hotel gym and pool are fabulous.

freshprinceofburwood (10/5): Beautiful, conveniently located hotel - Was my first time back in Shanghai for a work trip since 2018 and was not disappointed. The hotel was right next to the office so it was a short walk. Pros: - Staff were professional and friendly from the check-in to the ladies who clean the room. They were well trained and could speak English well. - My room was very spacious and even had a chaise like sofa next to the window. The blackout curtains were very effective and I have a fantastic view of the Huangpu River & the Shanghai Oriental Sports Centre - Breakfast was the only daily meal I had in the hotel and the selection was very wide, from western selections (bread, cake, eggs, waffles, toast, yoghurt, bircher muesli etc) to local selections (pan fried buns, fried rice/noodles, you tiao). - Wi-fi internet speeds were reliable - Being next to a mall made shopping + dining convenient - To get around Shanghai, I took a 'Didi' to and from my work meetings so getting around was quite easy - for those who are environmentally conscious, most ride hailing cars are electric vehicles and they were generally very comfortable. Cons: - My only small gripe about the hotel is possibly lack of signage pointing to the driveway as Didi drivers don't know how to drive to the hotel's main entrance.

GreatGupta (10/5): Hi tech and fancy - It would be almost insulting not to give this hotel a 5 star rating. It’s the newest of the Shanghai Shangri La’s. The lobby is opulent, the rooms are large and spacious and pretty high on the tech scale. The gym is awesome too. The buffet breakfasts are a highlight. There is a wide selection of cuisines and the food and service are excellent. The hotel is a little distance away from the Bund and the French Concession but cabs will get you there in 20 minutes. The big plus is that Tai Koo Li with a super selection of restaurants is just opposite the hotel and there are several nice cafés and restaurants within a short walk. This will be my first choice the next time we visit the city.

(And this was our third Shangri-La stay as Circle members!) We arrived with an upgrade voucher, but to our surprise and delight, Ruby generously upgraded us to the Horizon Club, giving us access to an expansive, luxurious room and all the incredible benefits that come with club-level access. The room was stunning—spacious, elegantly designed, and filled with thoughtful amenities that elevated our entire stay. We loved that the couch area became a bed for our 6 year old son and even had a fold out door so that he could go to sleep before us parents. There was room for our travel crib for our 1 year old in there too! They gave our kids adorable Shangri-La hats and fans. The Horizon Club Lounge was a true standout. From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us by name and remembered our preferences after just one visit. The service was warm, personalized, and consistently excellent. It made every visit feel special and personal. Every member of the team, from the front desk to the lounge staff, was courteous, professional, and spoke excellent English, making communication seamless and the experience even more comfortable. Many of the staff learned our kids' names and never ceased to make them feel special. We were truly honored and overjoyed by the upgrade and the exceptional hospitality. This experience completely won us over and left a lasting impression. Thank you to the entire Shangri-La Qiantan team for making us feel so welcomed and valued—we can’t wait to return.

uraweek (10/5): Excellent Stay at Shangri-La Qiantan – Modern Comfort with Great Location - I had a wonderful stay at the Shangri-La Qiantan in Shanghai. The hotel is perfectly located—just steps away from a modern shopping mall right across the street, making it very convenient for dining and shopping. The hotel lobby is welcoming with a pleasant scent that gives a great first impression. Our guest room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and equipped with all modern amenities. Everything in the room is electronic, which might be a bit tricky for low-tech guests at first, but it’s actually very intuitive once you get the hang of it. The wellness facilities were impressive—there’s a beautiful indoor pool, a generously sized sauna room with just the right temperature, and a large steam room. There’s no jacuzzi, but the bathtub in the room served the purpose well. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices and everything I tried was fresh and tasty. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

A special mention to Francesc who made navigating Shanghai for a Euroepan much much easier. Great hotel! Very clean, top notch quality and service.

Swimming pool is awesome with sauna and hamman . Fantastic service, thanks to Francisco ( lobby and reception) and Emelyn ( Restaurant and breakfast 1st floor), 👍👍. Restaurant close buffet quite early: 21:30 , we arrived 21:17 and he was declared « closed ». So we had à la carte instead.

From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and memorable experience. Their warm hospitality and attention to detail truly set this hotel apart—they consistently went the extra mile to assist with any request. The room was impeccably clean, modern, and well-appointed, providing a perfect retreat after a busy day in the city. But the real highlight was the excellent on-site Chinese restaurant Jiangnan Wok!!! the food was delicious, authentic, and beautifully presented. Whether for breakfast or dinner, every meal was a delight. The combination of friendly, engaging staff and spotless accommodations, and fantastic dining makes it a top choice for both business and leisure travelers. I can’t wait to return for my next visit.
