Guest Reviews
- Kate (7/5): Good -
- Chris (3/5): Anxious stay because of the door lock issues, not helped by the problems in the apartment. - Size was good. Bed was comfy. Location, near a tube was good. Communication was poor. Nobody answered my 2 emails regarding being unable to lock the door when we went out, yet kept sending the same check in email over and over. The Kevio key app did not work to lock the door from the outside so we had to leave it unlocked! The cooling system was very primitive - a noisy fan in the bedroom and a tube out a window in the living room. The apartment was noisy as the sound insulation is poor. The cooking pans all needed washing before I could use them to cook with, the bathroom was also not cleaned properly. The cooker extractor fan did not work so the flat smelled of food.
- Nicola (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dawn (8/5): - Good location, within easy walk of stations. Accommodation was OK. No hangers on the clothes rail which was disappointing and meant clothes had to be hung on backs of chairs in the living space.
- Anonymous (1/5): Go else where - The key collection process was horrendous leaving us to wait outside in the rain for 3 hours, and they started threatening to cancel our booking last minute over their lack of communication with no guarantee for a refund, we tried to contact their customer service and he was extremely rude to us aswell making the process even more stressful, I’ve been to a lot of short stays with airbnbs/booking.com and I’m never fussy or ever take the time to leave a bad review but this place lacked even the most useful amenities especially for women, it looked more half fast and not fully set up, the tiles in the bathroom floor were all chipped in 2 different places. For the price we paid we expected 1000% better, transport links aren’t close by either, stayed in cheaper for better.
- Tikhara (8/5): Very good -
- Jo (9/5): Although there were one or two minor issues, I would definitely return. It is a beautiful, airy apartment and perfect fo - Comfortable beds, lovely balcony, plenty of room! Parking is an issue. I think it would have been helpful for a nearby car park - at Ferry Quays, Brentford - to have been suggested. The Klevio key system took a while to load on my phone so was standing outside for 5mins late at night before it worked!
- Ajay (10/5): Exceptional -
- Denise (9/5): Great location and property, perfect weather too! - It was an App we used to unlock the doors, Klevio. Easy enough to park near by and bring in our belongings.
Good size, had most things we needed for our stay, would use again and recommend to others. Needs a new ironing board or cover. All was ok other than that.
- Ven (10/5): Very comfortable - The property was larger than expected and very comfortable Honestly there wasn’t anything negative about our stay there
- Die (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice place. Recommended
- Sarah-jane (7/5): Good - Very modern, spacious and clean. It’s on a very busy and noisy road. So unfortunately I had 4 nights of disrupted sleep.
- Daniel (1/5): Book at your own risk! - Good location I stayed here with my wife for Valentine’s weekend 14th - 16th 2025. During our stay, two complete strangers entered the apartment we were staying in at the time due to management giving them access via the app. Fortunately we had happened to still be inside when they entered, had they decided to check-in an hour later we would’ve been out having dinner with our belongings and valuables potentially up for grabs & even after being “reassured” by booking.com who I reported the incident to that they had spoken to the property manager & that they had revoked access to the 2 other male strangers, one of them entered a second time & then ran upstairs to his apartment once he noticed we were still inside (after 20 - 30 mins). It has nearly been 2 weeks and I have no response to my emails nor has booking.com (who have told me to contact the property to tell them to reply to their email 😐) I also have not received my £400 deposit which I was told was “refundable upon departure”… 13 days later and still no money back!!
- Martyn (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (9/5): Comfortable, well appointed and clean flat. Tube and Gunnersbury Park 10 mins away. Mini home from home for a short st - Had everything we needed and was very clean. Nice to see blinds on every window. Very comfortable and well appointed. There was plenty of room for us and our dog (with large crate). We were able to park directly outside due to it being a Saturday night stay. The ‘terrace’ was a small balcony. Given a January stay that didn’t matter. The surrounding area is largely ugly and busy, however a short walk from Gunnersbury Park and plenty of shops.
- Stephan (7/5): Good -
- Vanessa (1/5): Unable to get out - Fire and Safety Issues - Fairly good location for what we needed and it is lovely laid out We arrived late at night only to discover there was no toilet paper wand there was nowhere open to buy any at that time of night. The flat was not very clean.
I have tried to engaged with Charles Hope, however, they have fobbed me off.
More seriously, when we had to leave the flat the next morning, the lock would not open and we were unable to get out the flat. The sign on the door shows how you can manually unlock the door. This did not work. I had to call up and find out how to remove the electronic lock off the door to use the manual key. While this was very helpful, I could not help thinking if there had been a fire, I do not think I would have had the foresight to calmly call you to open the door, I am also not sure I would have had the ~5 mins it took to get to that solution. It would have been terrifying if I had my baby niece with me.
This has got to be a major safety issue and fire hazard.
To make it worse, it appears the fire alarm battery is flat too. Your agent suggested we remove the battery - however, that would mean if there was a fire, we would not be warned.
- Ntokozo (1/5): My experience on this property was extremely disappointing. - Nothing to like on this property Toilets couldn't be flushed, blocking all the time. No hot water in one of the showers. Window on the pavement had no lock, could be opened from outside. Had to park the car on another far away property, such an inconvenience.
- Ruth (7/5): Wasn’t really in property that much other than at night - Location Noise from road
- Tianna (5/5): Lovely apartment otherwise - Very clean and spacious Found it hard to get in contact with the owners, very late replying. Couldn't accommodate our early check in so was left outside in the rain with children for hours when we arrived cleaners were still cleaning. The door was very hard to do with a app I've never used before
- Pedro (9/5): Superb -
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional - No breakfast. Nice all around.
- Jemma (8/5): We had a lovely stay, we got to bring our dog which was amazing! Lovely flat, clean, great location and worth the money - Lovely modern flat, very clean and spacious It gets very hot!! Even with the heating off
- MORTON (6/5): A Great place to stay in Chiswick for a short stay - This was a lovely location and it all looked very nice but the shower flooded, there was not enough loo paper, and the bathroom sink leaked into the bottom drawer. The place looked really nice but unfortunately it was not well maintained. The hallway was really dirty and should be maintained, (hoovered) regularly. It was however a great location and the access and communication was very good.
- Aman (1/5): Bad - nothing everything
- Sue (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samantha (8/5): Great location and would stay again. - Spacious, comfortable, good location Not the cleanest, it felt like it was surface level clean but actually needed a deep clean. Also not having access to physical keys was just annoying. There was no washing rack and too few mirrors.
- Sue (7/5): Other than above good stay - Shower/ hot water was terrible
Fan didn’t work in bathroom
Internet went down and was not restored
Would have preferred keys incase phone lost power
- Sarah (7/5): Enjoyable in many ways though let down through neglecting the basics - Apartment had comfortable simply designed furniture and was light, airy and clean. Enjoyed the outdoor balcony and views over the bustling street scene. Bathroom was well kitted out, with nice shower and good sized towels. Digital key app worked well and was very friendly. Local Sainsburys just 4 minute walk away as is Banksy's Goat near Kew Bridge. It was easy to walk to Kew Gardens, the Thames, and The National Archives - approx. 20mins The kitchen had the minimum of implements, e.g. no cheese grater or bottle opener, it was too basic particularly if you were staying more than a weekend. The dishwasher in our apartment D didn't work, and although we were reassured it would be tended to, in the end nothing happened. There were cigarette butts on the balcony floor that should've been swept up as part of the cleaning regime.
- Hansini (10/5): Excellent location, easy to get in, quick guide, clesn modern apartment. - Great location
- Ceemonette (9/5): Pleasantly surprised with apartment, very clean, spacious and good location as close to Chiswick -
- Aman (8/5): Very good - the rug is exgtremely dirt... hasnt been hoovered in forever and theres a lot of bread crumb
- Fergal (10/5): It exceeded my expectations. - So clean, tasteful, great location , lovely vibe , bright , crisp…. Yeah fabulous. Nothing to criticise
- Natalie (8/5): Good Location - On arrival entry via the key app was easy, the apartment was on the top floor and has a balcony overlooking a leafy street behind and the railway. This was lovely and we did make use of it.
Rooms were spacious and we found it easy to use the facilities.
We did report some food left behind in the cupboards which was a bit messy.
We had the same issue as the other reviewer with the shower not draining, after my daughter showered I had to wait 40 minutes for the shower to drain as we were worried about flooding the bathroom.
There is noise planes, main road and train track but not unusual for London
2 train stations close by, we used Gunnersbury. Also a Lime Bike station outside.
Short walk from Gunnersbury Park and Kew Gardens, nearby options for breakfast, railway coffee shop does excellent coffee and Costa/Sainsbury’s but 30 mins walk takes you to Chiswick High St which has some nice cafes.
- Nabi (7/5): Good -
- Heather (5/5): Passable -
- IFAN GARI (4/5): Stay in a decent hotel instead - Nice enough spacious apartment, but there were issues:
1/ infestation of flies/bugs in toilet/WC & Shower
2/ Shower didn’t drain properly due to faltering shower drain tiles
3/ No A/C so flat got very warm and was uncomfortably so on a hot summers night
Area that the flats are in is okay - Gunnersbury Underground station is about a 10-15 min walk away, and Kew Bridge overground station is nearby but it doesn’t offer many useful stops if you’re working in central London.
App operated key entry system is okay, once you get your head around it, but found the Charles Hope pre stay checks annoying and unnecessary to be honest, when comparatively, you could stay in a nice ish hotel in the same area for the same area. Would I consider staying here again? Probably not, but it was worth the experiment to find out.
- Tracey (8/5): Enjoyable stay. Good value. - Comfortable space and good kitchen facilities Showers temperamental. Key app also made us late playing up on couple of occasions
- Deborah (8/5): Amazing would definitely rent out again but the shower needs looking at. Overall 10/10 - Everything was lovely The shower didn’t drain and it was a pain to get it working. One minute it was hot then it went cold I then had to turn it off then back on again for it to work
- Sarah (9/5): Superb -
- Philip (10/5): Easy - Access good
- Natalie (9/5): Excellent apartment, location and communication. - It was a wonderful apartment and very good value for money. Will definitely return. Everything was great however it was a little noisy from the traffic outside, if you go maybe take ear plugs.
- Srdjan (9/5): Superb - Great apartment
Very comfortable and clean WiFi is still problematic
- Matthew (7/5): Good -
- Marion (1/5): Not possible to have a shower for six days - The location- walking distance to a friend we were visiting. For other travellers it is near Kew Gardens, lovely walks along the Thames, with lots of riverside pubs to enjoy. It was not possible to have a single shower or bath during our 6 day stay. Washed at the sink the whole time. The water warmed when turned to hot - after a min/two turned to freezing cold, then without warning to scalding hot - mostly freezing but unpredictable when it would become scalding… Informed helpline - staff very empathetic- arranged maintenance check- told us “there was an issue with temperature safety mechanism which they could not fix and they were contacting the water company”… no contact from them before we left.
- Zi (9/5): Superb - Everything Just the way you get the key 🗝️ for the flat and the app you need for that which normally has to be clear before you are here
- Bruna (10/5): excellent clean and well located house, well planned house and pet friendly. I recommend - beautiful house and pet friendly
- Amy (8/5): Great stay in a nice location. Really nice property - Used the Klevio app to get in, very handy and convenient. Communication was excellent, support was superb. The property is a great space and in a great location. It had nice facilities and a nice balcony too. The cleaners hadn’t finished when we arrived so we had to wait two hours for the property to be ready. However, this was communicated to me in advance and compensation was offered. The shower was a little temperamental. Would have been great to have had a starter kit for food: salt, pepper, oil etc.
- Margaret (10/5): Perfect description - So, I must admit I am a fussy customer, But the team were more than accommodating to each of my needs. One member of the team stood out for called Louise. I spoke mostly with her through my stay Any issues I had was fixed promptly, she was understanding and polite.
I most enjoyed how stylish and easily comfortable the place is. It felt like I was right at home. The place was clean and tidy, which also came with all equipment needed to maintain the apartment.
- Kirkland (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arun (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ingham-hill (10/5): Lovely, close to the train to get into central london! - The apartment was lovely! Really spacious and comfortable
- Tyrone (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect
- Nick (5/5): Average, given the kitchen issue. Other than that property was clean convenient. - Location to my office Kitchen appliances didn’t work !
- Alison (10/5): Modern comfortable flat in the heart of Kew - Excellent location. Loads of amenities nearby lovely river walks, super underfloor heating Standing water in the shower - note to house staff to empty the trap!
- Hulin (6/5): Lovely place but the apartment admin / deposit makes booking a hotel easier and more attractive. - Clean apartment, nice and central, comfortable beds. The damage deposit should added to the price details up front, not hidden in the last line of the fine print.
I would not have booked here had I known that.
Loads of admin, inability to check in earlier even though I did indicate we may.
Being asked to take out the trash is the last thing you are worried about when you want to get to the airport.
Have a least one hair dryer in the apartment.
This is my 5th Booking.com stay in 2 Months and I am finding competitor stays have been better.
- Yamina (10/5): Exceptional - I really enjoyed cooking my breakfast and relaxing everything with my boyfriend. The only thing that it was a bit noisy due to the busy traffic main road 😔 The apartment was clean with all appliances that you need.
- Amy (8/5): Very good - Very modern and big. Windows didn’t open very well so the apartment was very hot during the warm weather. We were provided with 2 air cons but it wasn’t enough really.
- Onx (5/5): Passable -
- Aniysha (9/5): Overall an excellent stay would consider going back again. - It was a very spacious two bedroom apartment and could easily fit a family of 5 comfortably. The kitchen was well equipped with all the necessary appliances and a washing machine too. There was ample of cupboard space and everything you needed for the stay. It was a 15 min walk away from Gunnersbury tube station. A Sainsbury local under 5 minutes walk. Communication with the property wasn't great once we were already confirmed. We needed a late check out and received a confirmation email 2 days after the request was put in and after a second follow up and phonically
- Jade (8/5): Lovely place in convenient location - Location, space wireless was really bad
- Mark (7/5): Good - The door entry and online check in was just too cumbersome for older people. Uploading photos of passports, credit card, paying a 300 pound deposit while holding off our NZ Bank which was trying to tell us it was a scam.
Downloading an app to create a login to be able to open the door by internet.
Please don't arrive 10 minutes early as you are left on the street until the app turns on at your allotted arrival time.
Another day getting locked out on the street of the unit for an hour because our cellular network went back to 3G and the internet connection into the unit was so weak and intermittent we could not get a connection for the door to open.
We went to a local cafe to get internet and contacted the company that provided the app and entry system, but they didn't return their own online chat site message we left for 6 hours!!
But on our own we found if one of us stayed at the cafe and pressed the "open door" button at an exact time the other could go to the apartment, then push open the door at the exact same time to gain access, Then call my wife to let her know she could leave the cafe while I waited at the door. Sounds too hard, Yes it was....
There was an old fashioned thing called a key. Oh how I missed them.
- Jacob (1/5): Disappointing - To access the apartment you need to download an app to unlock a smart lock. This app decided to stop working first thing in the morning for several hours. I called up the helpline to hear that no one was around due to it being the weekend. I had tickets to the event I was going to along with my wallet. Never had anything so ridiculous happen with not even an apology or any compensation from the company.
- Srdjan (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice apartment. Perfect for family staying during London visit..
Well positioned between Kew overground train station and Gunnersburry metro station.
The stuff was exceptional.
- Beth (7/5): Good -
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- R.h.millar (5/5): Great Flat horrible system - The apartment is great, clean and modern. The guys that run the customer service are great So the fact that after I have paid I then have to send my I'd a photo of my credit card my colleagues I'd is crazy.
Then bearing in mind I worked all day I found out that I had to download a separate app from an email from a different company to get an e-key.
It did not tell you how to open the door.
The system is fine once you know how to use it but if my mum was trying to stay here it would have been a disaster. She just would not have been able to do it.
The fact I have to give documents to a website which are perfect for cloning someone's I'd is wrong.
It is a nice flat terrible over-complicated system .🙄
- Abdulrahman (8/5): best apartment ever - newly designed. Fully furnished. close access to groceries, parks, train station. you can hear little bit of traffic noise during busy time
- Stefan (9/5): Superb -
- Traveler (8/5): Very good -
- Darren (9/5): Superb -
- Keith (3/5): see above - the property was was very nice but the noise from the downstair apartment was ridicules music till 4 in the morning, I will need to think twice before booking again, shame as I’m in the area many times.. see about
- Bronwen (8/5): spacious well appointed apartment, very good value for money in London - lovely space and well set up kitchen and lounge room. the bedroom on the top floor is very spacious too there was quite a bit of traffic noise as you are close to the main road
- Beth (9/5): Lovely, would definitely recommend for a short trip. - Location was great, really close to the station for transport into central and enough shops/cafes within a short walk. Flat was very spacious and modern and the beds were very comfortable. Had a great stay. Small details were lacking such as there being no soap provided anywhere in the flat. Additionally it would be helpful if there were basics in the kitchen such as salt, pepper and oil to make cooking when staying for a short amount of time easier.
- Catherine (9/5): a very comfortable stay - it was big, bright & comfortable. bedrooms in the basement so cool no matter how hot outside & very quiet, given it was such a busy location. there could have been an extra lounge chair & a few more kitchen utensils, plates cutlery glasses etc.
the electronic door system didn’t work for most of the time we were there & there was a carbon monoxide/smoke alarm beeping in foyer continually, even though I reported it.
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Eric (7/5): Good -
